The smoked malasugi kinilaw. I'll be honest I was expecting a waste of great fish when I first saw this on the menu. I was expecting a so and so kinilaw hyped up with use of a more expensive fish than tuna. The fish was perfectly smoked. The texture of the fish was meaty and juicy. The acidity of the marinade did not cook the fish like a Mexican style Ceviche where the fish was left to cook in the marinade, it was more like a Peruvian style ceviche where timing is everything. Now Let's get to the leche de tigre. The sauce was simple not over powering any element of the dish even though it was spicy. Every other ingredient was well thought of and complimented the whole experience. The cucumbers, the chilis and the onions all worked well together then the pomelo pieces added an element that was more like a reset button for my palate. This dish goes from first base, second base, third base and then a home run (yes it's a sex analogy). This is a dish that you plan for if I was back in Cali. I would "medicate" with a nice sativa like a jack herrer before the meal and pair this with a nice and bright Chardonnay from either the Russian River valley or nice young French one. And this is just one dish on the menu. #fuckthatsdelicious.
Great food, great drinks, great ambience and awesome service! We didn't have enough local cash as we were visiting from overseas but the staff was kind enough to help us draw cash from an ATM. We visited 2 nights in a row and we will come back just bec its an awesome experience. Respect that they do not receive card payments. Don't blame the staff or the bar. Cheers again Alamat!
The best! Cool place, nice drinks, best pulutan accompanied by the best host (naks Jun!). They care so much for their staff members who are actually very polite. Thanks! I had fun and Alamat completed my vacation.
It was lazy evening after a day long work and looking at my phone searching a nice place to hang around. Reading a review that put me to curiosity about your place. But before l can make it my boss rang me to join him at Alamat. I arrived at the place and my boss already ordered the kinilaw malasugui. Same of the rest who gave review about l was indeed convinced of how it was prepared which every spice used complimenting each other. Believe me, we ordered thrice... and if it's not convincing, why not give a visit and try...
#fuckingsogood
This is the best place ti chill... staff are all accomodating,,,,😊😊😊 thanx alamat we enjoyed our thanx giving night
Great place for bar hopping. You can do beer tasting before they give you a glass. Great way to promote our culture and our local brews and regional colonial food. Its at the heart of the night scene in Makati. Prices are affordble s well .
It's great place with traditional food and beer! It's make Philippines cultural feeling with every single potions
Excellent place to try out a variety of Filipino Dishes tapas style! Plus a great selection of locally crafted beer. 👍🍺

Great food and service, plus the best craft beer selection in town! 🖒
One of the best resto bar i have tried. This is the perfect place if you want to chill out and relax. Must try ! 👌
Delicious food and cocktails, craft beer, and cool design! This is a bar that's proudly Pinoy, and everyone will love its take on the local bar experience.
Super endroit pour manger, boire de bonnes bières locales et passer une bonne soirée ambiancée. Les plats sont excellents! Des serveurs au top! Je recommande!!
Superb service and what is there not to love with the genuine Filipino vibe. Great food, cocktails and people
Best pinoy food in 12 years loved it. Great inexpensive Cocktails and very good craft beer
Nice location, fab vibes, good promoters of Filipino spirits and cocktails
My 2 girl friends herein love the place but they would probably comes back when we had enough for groups of ours to enjoy the night with "Alamat"
Good drinks, good vibes, promotes Filipino spirits and cocktails
Their drinks are on point especially Blonde Ale of Pampanga taste amazing, even the accompaniment of beers are good such as the fishballs.
• best cocktails!
• baked oyster is okay (oysters are not that fresh)
• limited seating
• ambiance is beautiful
• service is okay
• price is reasonable
• will come back to try other cocktails
Alamat is the place to be in Poblacion! Laiza and Robi always makes me feel like I’m home and makes sure i get the drink that i deserve! Salted egg chicken skin is a must try best paired w lambanog (for me).
The free cocktail for my birthday was so good! Thanks again
Alamat would always be one of the top of mind places for me for drinks and hanging out but they always, ALWAYS surprise me with their take on Pinoy food and so far it’s been good. Tho it takes a while for the food to arrive, it’s always been worth the wait. And it helps that they have staff that can really explain their dishes well :)

Food/Drinks: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
1. Saan-tol? : This was the cocktail I ordered for myself and it was delicious, the santol juice was sweet and mixed well with the gin.
2. Chicken skin with salted egg : chicken skin was a bit hard but still soo yummy; the remainder of the salted egg was served on the side and it took me some time to realize that it was salted egg I was dipping my chicken skin into; I needed pinakurat vinegar for this dish as it had a bit of “oily” aftertaste to it
3. De puta madre : one craft beer that had a bit of coffee liquer aftertaste in it, it was delish btw!
Price: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cocktail and food were reasonably priced. The craft beers are a bit on the pricier side though for the craft beers I have tasted, it was worth it anyway. Maybe you come here to try one craft beer at a time if you are not willing to pay too much for one just one night of craft beer.
Atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
We first placed ourselves on the balcony, and given that it was an early Sunday, there were just a couple of people hanging out in there. Good ambience and good music was there but I just want to say that it was so hot on that side of the bar - I was sweating more than I am comfortable. We moved inside to where the a/cs were supposed to be on but then it was still so warm in there. Maybe it was because of those candles they have in there or their a/cs were really turned off, I am not sure. Needless to say, I was not comfortable with their temperature setting that I did not enjoy my stay too much 😭
Service:⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wait staff were proactive and cheerful enough. All smiles even to their customers as they serve them orders.
Side note: toilet was shared with other bars so you know what to expect with that kind of situation.
I love the Filipino-inspired cocktails that they have. Very unique. They even have one called Tahoooo which has pearls in it. The only thing I felt lacking was the space. It's kinda hard to get a table especially when it's a weekend
It's a little cramped inside but they have nice interiors, they have great food, interesting Filipino -inspired drinks. Great place to hang out with friends in Poblacion.
Just sucks they removed their laing rice! :( It was sooooo good! I super love the salted egg chicken skin, i felt like i was in heaven. It's now my comfort food.
Went to Alamat on a fine saturday night. Definitely alot of people. We got several drinks and pulutan.
Craft beers:
Blonde ale from paranaque
Kiwi fruit beer from baguio
Lager beer from pampanga
Dalandan juice
Tamarind candy cocktail
Overall all drinks are okay.
For pulutan or snacks, we got the following:
Indi chips with cheese dip - very good combination
Slated egg chicken skin - too sinful, cant really taste the salted egg. Just normal.
Great food and even greater cocktails. If you have foreign friends who want to try great local drinks, this is the place. Great staff too and if you're looking for affordable yet really good food, this is a great spot. Always enjoying my time here.
Love this place in Poblacion. I always order Gayuma ng Magtotropa with friends 'cause it's hellah delicious (and sulit). Food is good but on the pricey side and servings aren't all large. I love the showcase of local ingredients though. Place is definitely uniquely designed and 'Grammable if that's important to you. 🥂🍻 More on IG @jpabrina
This place is amaaaziiing! A little cramped inside, but the interiors are really fun. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and I recommend trying everything on their Filipino Cocktails menu. If that's too much, at least try their Calamansi Mojito, Sampaloc Candy, and Sago't Gulaman (all pictured). As a snack, you can't go wrong with their Salted Egg Chicken Skin Chicharon (pictured).
One of the most relaxed and chill places in Poblacion with the best food. :) everything is so flavorful. They have very good takes on local dishes. deconstructed pakbet, the salted egg chicken skin and the binagoongan kebab (not the actual names of the dishes but more descriptions) are my favorites. :)
We come here for Barik and their craft beers. Haven’t tried any of the dishes from their menu but I will definitely try ‘em soon. Their drinks are pricey though but they make up for the accommodating staff. Will definitely come by for more of those lambanogs.
We really loved the assortment of craft beers that they sell. Even though I'm a beer or wine drinker, I still liked their cocktails. Their twist on the Filipino pulutan is very good as well.
Plus they have a kitty roaming around the rooftop 💙🐈
If you are looking for an affordable chillout place but with awesome ambience and great crowd visit Alamat. This place has an awesome feel of native vibe.
We went here for drinks. The staff were very knowledgeable on their menu. I love how everything is made in the Philippines. Especially their menu. We tried out the taho cheesecake. We did not expect anything from it. It was divine!
Super chill place. A bit pricey but worth it.
TRY: Salabatman & Tamarind. Been here twice, ordered the same pulutan - Chicken Skin & Chicharon Bulaklak, because it's so gooooood!
Chicken skin with salted egg dip is a champion! Lanbanog with calamansi tastes like juice but will give you a kick after consuming half of the glass. Perfect combo. Their waiters are enthusiastic too.
Review as of March 2019
Alamat is a fantastic place that celebrates Filipino food, drink, and music. I thoroughly enjoyed the menu offering dishes from all over the Philippine Islands and spirits ranging from Filipino craft beers, wines and rum. All this enjoyed with Filipino folk music playing in the background.
While the place is quite small (and can get full quite quickly), it's a great place to bring friends new to the Philippines.
Below is a list of dishes I've tried, my recommendations are marked with a star (🌟):
- Inihaw na Pusit 🌟
- Pakbet
- Sinuglaw 🌟
- Indi Chips 🌟
- Sisig
- Kilawinner
- Stir Fried Beef Sinigang
- Salted Egg Chicken Skin 🌟
- Tusok Tusok
- Taho Cheesecake
- Chocnut Chocolate Cake 🌟
It was my first time to visit this place last weekend. The tables outside were all taken when we got there around 9:00PM. But few minutes later, the table facing the street became available and I loved that spot because it’s perfect for people-watching.
My first drink was Sampaloc Candy and it was really good!
I also like the ambience here and the interior. This place is perfect for chill drinking.
Had a Friday night out with officemates (we were a group of 9). Nice place to chill and relax although seating is limited.
Food is tasty and servers are really nice. We had the bacon bagnet, taro cheesecake and chocnut chocolate cake. I loved the cheesecake but I always love cheesecake 😅. The chocnut cake was also good, had an interesting taste. For bacon bagnet, it was okay but not filling. Should have ordered the salted egg.
Drinks were great and locally made. We drank a loooot of barik, and ordered cocktails - skrambol, tahooo and sampalok candy. We liked them all!
Cozy and hip vibe. Though the seats were limited they were quite comfortable. Good place to have drinks and some pica pica with friends.
We went here to use our Zomato Gold. We got the squid and grilled hito skewers, lemongrass tea and dalandan juice. The skewers tasted great. The lemongrass tea was the bottled Bayani Brew, and I found the dalandan juice a tad bit too sweet.
First time eating at Alamat. There was a birthday party which made the place a bit crowded and we couldn't eat outside. But the sisig, aligue rice, chicken wings and inihaw na pusit, more than made up for it. Each plate had a story from the servers which made for a better eating experience. Favorite food was the inihaw na pusit, so soft and the sauce was delicious. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come again.
Great drinks, great servers, amazing experience! Alamat Filipino Pub and Deli is definitely a must try for Poblacion night outs and hang outs!
Alamat has been a favorite pub of mine ever since. They have Filipino inspired beverages which boost both traditional and modern Filipino cultures. Plenty of locals and foreigners stay here to enjoy craft beer. There are cheaper alternatives for craft beers within the area but aside from this, it's one of the best. Fridays can be very crowded so if you wanna drink here, come early!
Must try: Their cocktail drinks especially Sampalok Candy, Salabatman, Kalesa and Calamansi Mojito.. As for the food, Sisig, Gising Gising and Bacon Chorizo Sausage
Been hearing about the hype about Alamat and I was not disappointed! Draft selection were great! Me and my partner ordered Bulol and it was smoooooth! We also got the Crispy Chicken Skin with Salted Egg and the Sinuglaw which were both great (but serving portion of Sinuglaw wasn’t for sharing!) Will definitely come back!
Love the waiters and bartenders!!! They are super nice and friendly!!! Will definitely come back soon because of them! Also, good food and drinks are super cool
I took my cousins from LA pub-hopping around Poblacion. We visited around five places and at the end of the night, Alamat was on top of everyone's lists.
The ambience, at least on a Tuesday night, was perfect. We appreciated Alamat's nod to Filipino culture - from the historical flags used as decor, the up-cycled antique furniture, down to the names, design, and ingredients of the cocktails served. If you have friends or family visiting from overseas, do take them here.
For drinks, we tried the Pinoy cocktails. (I will have to try the craft beer next time.) The drinks were exactly what we needed after a long day of going around Manila (except maybe the Tahoooo, that was a strange drink). They were refreshing, tangy, easy to drink. When you visit, try the Kalesa, and Salabatman.
The service was excellent. The staff was attentive and knew every single detail about the drinks being sold and served. They even recommended us places to try after.
5/5 for me - thanks guys!
Alamat is a major destination for foodies around Poblacion. Although more popular for their unique cocktails around certain circles, the food is just as good as advertised!
Get chicken skin with salted egg to start, and you might find yourself getting a second serving! Sisig is a classic staple, but the Alamat version brings more texture and more meat in the bite. Tusok tusok, which is homemade, is nothing special.
Remember to try the dips in each dish -- they're super important to complete the whole alamat experience!
Btw, at the al fresco area, the music can get REALLY loud. I had to request for volume to be lowered around thrucenin 2 hours.
A fave go-to place when in Poblacion. Their jeepney bar showcases a myriad of craft beer options from all over the country. Highly recommending beers ILIGAN and ENGKANTO. Their ceviche is extraordinary while the sausage platter is a good barchow feast for the filipino meat lovers! Sisig is also good. Service is spectacular, servers would recommend beers for first timers. Will defo go back!
A good place to try local craft beers. We tried their bark ginger sour, and it tasted like some kind of lambanog and cocktail in one. Their salted egg crispy chicken skin was to die for (hello, cholesterol ! )
Place can feel cramped especially on a weekend night (went here on a Sunday night). It can be also hard to have decent conversations with a group here since the place is a little too loud to sustain good conversations (too much people on such little space + loud background music)
#ThirstyThursdays got us to Poblacion by foot and our first stop was Alamat Filipino Pub & Deli for some dinner and drinks.
The highly-recommended wagyu bistek with laing and kare-kare skewers were great, and I look forward to trying the other items in the menu.
There was also a good selection of cocktails with Pinoy twists and 15 brands of local craft beers to choose from.
Restaurant theme was impressive and service was superb. You know you’re at the right place when the bartender intuitively knows how you want your drinks made: sweet and a little nutty with a firm but subtle kick.
One of the participating restaurant of our food crawl last June 27, 2018, supported by Globe myBusiness and Let's Eat Pare. For team UBEst, 2 members of the team will chug 1 craft beer and play beer pong.
This place is a local craft beer haven!
Have only tried their drinks but they're good. It's something I didn't realize would taste good but they did. However, they taste quite like there's little alcohol in them so I don't know. I enjoyed them well enough.
PLACE: ☆☆
-Located at the heart of Poblacion, Alamat has a very chill and good-vibes feel to it. Perfect for Friday night hangout and chill with friends.
SERVICE: ☆☆
-Very friendly staff!
PRICE: ☆☆
-Fair enough.
FOOD:☆☆
-Most are usually pulutan that goes very well with their selection of local beers. But they also have rice meals if you wanna have dinner and a couple of mugs of beer for the night.
If you’re into something different (when it comes to drinks and beer) this is the place to go to. Their craft beers are so good. Such a chill place.
We enjoyed our visit to Alamat. We love the chill and friendly atmosphere as much as the good food.
We got the sausage platter, chicharon bulaklak and beer. The sausage platter allows you to choose 3 sausages from 3 provinces in the Philippines. Chicharon bulaklak is always good - Alamat makes it extra with their sauces.
Excited to come back!
Alamat Filipino Pub & Deli‘s at 5666 Don Pedro Street, just above Bucky’s in Brgy. Poblacion, Makati just after the sunset hour at 6 PM. What you can expect to taste is an array of carefully combined native flavors that help you ease into the dark hours like no other place in Makati. Go for their large collection of locally produced craft beers from different makers.
Their Pinoy Cocktails were good but I didn't have that amats feel even if I drank quite a few. 😳
I personally tried Tikbalang, Aswangria, and Piñata. Sangria's one of my go-to drinks, and sure enough Alamat's twist to their citrusy-Sangria did not fail. Tikbalang tasted weird and somehow had that yosi-vibe. Piñata had an after taste I couldn't describe, but all was well! Most of their drinks had a hint of lime in order to make it 'Filipino', I'm guessing? Anyway we also ordered the Bark Ginger Sour in a bottle and those shots were the bomb!
Moving on, the food was superb! I got the Kare Kare and Wagyu Bistek skewers. Also their version of Tusok Tusok, although it was pricey, it was worth the money. Everything tasted extra. Extra sweet and peanut-y for the Kare Kare, kinda hard to chew but it was so good! The Wagyu Bistek was highly recommended by a friend and gosh, the beef was so soft, chewy, and the way it melted in my mouth was heavenly.
Warning though: serving time takes soooo long. Thank God I wasn't that hungry when I got there or else I wouldntve written such a positive review! But the wait was worth it since the food was amazing.
The ambiance was okay, it got crowded a lot past 10pm which was expected. It looks cramped up when you first enter the place but when you go further in, it's actually pretty spacious! If you're a bit early, you'll find the music kinda weird… but it's because it's Filipino themed! My friends made a couple of jokes like it felt like they were about to do a bit of Tinikling (traditional Filipino dance), or that it was already Buwan ng Wika in January! Lol!
Service was so-so, except for one particular server. Most of them looked like they werent so happy with what they're doing. Bored, even. Sadly we didn't get the name of the server that kept attending to us. He has a rosary as a tattoo, and that's all how I could remember him. He was accomodating and gave us plenty of good recommendations.
Highly rec'd and would come back again!
*didnt realize I drafted this post. I went there last January!
Alamat is one of a kind and truly a hidden gem in poblacion. Every dish they serve has a fantastic twist in it. Their chicharon bulaklak was a must try! It has eggplants in it can you believe?! It comes with a sweet mustardy sauce that compliments the dish so well! I was surprised because I was so used to vinegar with chili as my primary sawsawan for chicharong bulaklak. I’ve also tried their mojito. Oh god the mojitoo, i think i had like three glasses because it was so good and refreshing.
They also have a wide variety of beers that you can choose from which you can taste for free so you’ll know what beer suits your taste. It’s kind of small, bit still cozy and chill.
For starters, I like Alamat for the fact that it is one of the few places in Poblacion where older people such as myself won't feel bad or awkward about being there. That said, the food in Alamat is actually really good. Their artisanal sausages (particularly the dinuguan, bopis, and salted egg adobo) and sisig are a must-haves. While the food is pricier compared to other bars or restaurants in Poblacion (thus, the older crowd), the servings are generous (except for the rice lol, it could be more). They also serve local wines (I'd skip them since they don't really have a kick to them), lambanog (looks great but haven't tried it yet), craft beers (definitely go for the Tripel), cocktails (kalesa), and shooters (go for the cheapest one it's actually quite potent). Overall I like the place and the ambience, and while the service by staff like Jonathan and Day (like Inday, I think) are commendable, minus points for the other staff's inability to manage proper seating arrangements and their inability to manage customers who are unruly and disruptive (there always seems to be some random photoshoot when I'm there and these are quite annoying). I also don't understand why they keep letting people in even if the place is filled to the brim and people obviously won't have a place to stay in. That aside, Alamat is enjoyable but maybe try being here on non-peak days, like from Sunday to Thursday.
If I went on a tour with an international chef, Id bring ‘em here. Where they can sample some Filipino specialty food that’s been upped and grooved to suit today’s vibrant lifestyle without losing it’s heritage. Wow. Big.
But really, I mean it.
Not only do they have interesting cocktail mixes using calamansi, lambanog etc, they also have craft beer!
Our fave for the night was the calamansi cocktail. That dragonfruit cocktail was pleasantly strong!
Be sure to sample the taho cheesecake, kare kare and other delightful bar chow versions! Squid! Super yum!
Alamat is one of Poblacion's many jewels. Tucked away yet not so hidden along Don Pedro street, it shares a two-floor location with about three other spots that also opened up around earlier this year (or late last). It serves local craft beer and a mix of classic and revamped versions of Filipino cuisine.
Appearance-wise, it initially looks cramped upon entering due to this being the bar area with a couple of high-tables that could fit couples or a small group comfortably. However, it opens up to a wider al fresco balcony to accommodate a larger (but not too large) groups. The area is well-ventilated with fans strategically positioned. The aura is dim and cozy with hints of Filipino elements from decoration to plating style. The music is great too.
Service-wise, the staff have always been quick and attentive during my handful of visits. They are very knowledgeable of their menu, especially the craft beers.
Food-wise, I've tried a couple of things but to me the only food items worth really mentioning (so far) are the ff:
Bacon Bagnet (P320)
Why? Well because it's bacon... AND bagnet. Basically bacon fried in a bagnet-like style to give it that sinfully pork-a-licious flavor. I've seen people pair it with rice, which is the best thing you could possibly do.
Sago Gulaman (P150)
I never thought of ever putting alcohol in this particular dessert and am so glad someone did. The traditional sago gulaman drink with a kick of rum. It is icy cold with sweet jelly and boba plus alcohol? Refreshing AF.
Over-all, I'm giving Alamat a 4.5 rating. It is a great place to kick back and catch up with friends. I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't been there yet.
An excellent place to try local drinks! It was my first time to try lambanog and it was surprisingly good. Ambiance is great but would have enjoyed it better if they have more food choices. Music was great!
Alamat Filipino Pub & Deli is one of the COOLEST place to hang out in Poblacion.
1. Their local craft beer menu shows off different characters and tastes in beer from Cebu to Baguio.
2. Their menu of Filipino is very creative and playful. We ordered the Indi Chips, a mixture of chips of taro, sweet potato, cassava, and purple yam served with an aligue cream cheese dip (MUST ORDER!). Then there's the tusok tosuk, squid balls, fish balls and kwek-kwek (OK lang).
3. The ambience is AWESOME from the music to the decors.
If you are doing a Pub/Restaurant Crawl in Poblacion, you have to drop by Alamat.
I visited this place last week during my holiday in manila. I like the ambiance and the beer. I forgot what they called for the beer I ordered, I just said I wanted something sweet and light, they mixed it and made something suitable with my taste. If I had a chance to come to manila again I will come here again, because I love their beer.
💕Date for Two: Calamansi Mojito, Aswangria
💌Total: P350
Overall: Alamat, or Legend, is a fictitious narrative usually made up to give important lessons. This hip bar in Poblacion incorporated this idea to showcase our very own culture. We love their wall arts! Every corner is just sooo picturesque. But we love the drinks even more 😍 We usually order beer, yet we ordered cocktails this time as we were curious on the names. First is Aswangria, that is now our favorite cocktail to date! It’s a blend of Filipino wine, brandy, dalandan and soda water. Though we liked it because we can taste a hint of chocolate in it. Weird! Haha. It’s very very delish! We wanted to gulp it entirely. 😂 Calamansi Mojito is a hit for us, too! Can’t wait to try their other cocktails and craft beers so definitely coming back here.
Value for money: Sooo worth it!!
💕Date for Two: Magma Bock, Engkanto
💌Total: P430
Overall: Trying out Alamat’s local craft beers this time. And it didn’t disappoint. They have a vast choices of beer so we’re a bit confused what to order. We just used our instinct on this. Our choice: Magma Bock and Engkanto. Magma Bock is added to our favorite beers now! It’s so good! No need to buy Hoegaarden because this one’s a tough contender. Engkanto is just okay, almost the same with Pale Pilsen but a lot expensive. 😅
Value for money: A bit epxensive but will still go back for the Magma Bock 😉

This is where you go to chat with friends and appreciate food and drinks together. I love the theme of the place. There was a lot of thought behind it. If youre looking for a place to fill up yet bang for the buck, you might want to check another spot.
Found this interesting bar in Poblacion that serves Filipino bar chow and drinks with a twist. I had chicken wings with rice and the sago't gulaman cocktail. I liked everything I ordered! Nice ambience too if you're down to chill and drink!
We always come here for the drinks. I love the salabat cocktail, kalesa cocktail, and other Filipino inspired drinks, which are affordable too. We tried the food just recently, not expecting anything great but to our surprise they were all soooo yummy!!! Definitely try the squid bbq sticks and the pork sticks which had some sort of coconut sauce on the side; both bestsellers accdg to the bartender. Ambiance wise, the place is great but the music could be better. Still, we'll be back for the drinks and food.
I'm giving this place 4 stars because of the Sampaloc Candy cocktail. It's so good and addicting! Plus points for the Php150 price too. I think most of the cocktails are priced between Php150-Php200 only. The santol and pineapple cocktails are good too (I forget the names). I'd give the sago't gulaman cocktail a pass as it lacks arnibal or have too much alcohol.
While the place is cramped, the ambiance is cool. It was relaxing to sit on the terrace listening to the music and feel the electric fan breeze. :) The overall feel of the place is elevated neighborhood bar which is perfect for Sunday night drinks.
Ordered the Kare Kare skewer & salted egg chicken skin.
The Kare Kare was good and legit, we ordered 2 and the second didn't have as much Kare Kare sauce as the first but it was cooked well. Could've used a side of bagoong actually!
Salted egg chicken skin - this was really good, I just wish the salted egg flavour was actually on the chicken skin because it was more like regular chicken skin, with a dip that had salted egg in it. The dip was amazing, but I feel like most of the dish relied on it, which isn't exactly a good thing.
their bacon bagnet is to die for!!!!! Whoever is a lover of bacon (like me) should go here and try it!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I also love their cocktails drink. For a person like me who is not a drinker, you can definitely enjoy in this place cause you can drink with your friends (finally) and won't worry with the bitterness or strong taste of liquor.
Just the place for Pinoy cocktails and bar chow in Poblacion !
With Lumbanog based cocktails like Kalesa and Calamansi Mojito. And chow like Wagyu Bistek with a side of laing with Wagyu beef skewers
If you like craft beers, this is the place for you. They have like 20 craft beers on tap! If that's not enough, the place has a really great atmosphere - definitely a spot to spend some time if you're in Poblacion.
Good food, even greater beer and the highest bar stools. Nothing pretentious about this place that stays true to its patriotic branding, from the menu to the playlist. Their salted egg chicken skin is probably the tastiest, realest I've tried. It even came with a salsa made of chopped itlog na pula. Even my foreign friends enjoyed the local food, though they all seemed bothered by the height of the bar stools. Definitely coming back on a weeknight as the place gets cramped on weekends.
Came here on a Saturday night for a pre-birthday night out with my girls. First impressions? Cozy but a bit cramed. To crowded for my liking, considering their small space. The waiter who attended to us was very pleasant and friendly. He recommended a drink called Barik Ginger Sour (or was it Sour Ginger? Lol can't really remember now.) And it was good!!! Food is good, however its too pricey for the amount of serving that you get. All in all it was a great night, wish they could get bigger tables though.
Alamat is a Filipino resto pub atop this recently established cluster along Don Pedro St., Poblacion, Makati. Serving Filipino inspired dishes, Alamat seems to be more of a bar by its design, and secondarily a restaurant.
Disclaimer: This is a sponsored Poblacion food crawl by Sriracha. Fun times with a few familiar faces. We tried about 1-2 items on the average per place, and the food (or drink in Alamat's case) contains Sriracha. I find that Sriracha's flagship and best selling sauce is slightly sweet and not that spicy (about a 3-4 out of 10), but spiciness, like taste, is relative.
Alamat at a glance:
Food & Beverage: 3.75/5
Say this with me...
Salted Egg Chicken Wings with Srirache Aligue Sauce! It's the breaded style that's wet. Kind of like Bon Chon, Kkokko and Wingstop style. The Sriracha Aligue glaze makes for a sweet rich start with a very slight, if noticeable, taste of salted egg. The heat, like Sriracha, comes only at the mid to tail end, but only ever so slightly. I like the quality of their chicken wings, because it's more meaty and full to the bite. A good attempt, but disjointed because of putting two rich ingredients (salted egg and aligue) with equally potent ingredients in sugar and sriracha (which already has sugar). Best enjoyed with rice. 3.5/5
Sriracha Tequila Shots Hoooweeee! With triple sec, orange peel liqueuer, calamansi and pomelo juice and lemongrass syrup. Citrusy, sweet top with a very spicy kick! You can taste the alcohol but it's well complemented by the other ingredients. I shouldn't have eaten the red bell pepper shreds though. I liked this, but, with the heat, it's not for everyone. For the adventurous. 4/5 I'd rename this, SRIRASHOTS! TM pending.
Heat factor: 1/5 (juuuuust a bit of spice) chicken wing; 3/5 for the #Srirashots P80/shot
Alamat also serves a wealth of craft beers and other beers on the tap (aka draft); worth a return here just for that.
Service (Dine-In): 4/5 friendly and relatively fast bar tending staff
Kitchen Service: 3/5 Bartender notwithstanding, the wings took seemingly forever. We drank up our shots in the first ten minutes at the bar area, but I think we waited a good 15 or more minutes further for the wings.
Ambience: 4/5 Nice Filipino caricatures on the wall. Alamat (legend), indeed. The al fresco area is brilliantly done. Looks like a place for more noise than chill of next door Wild Poppy. But still, it's a place worth checking out.
Value for Money: 3.5/5 Wings are P200 for 4 big chunks. Drinks are in the P200 plus range, but okay for Makati Poblacion.
OVERALL: 4/5 ☺️
Don Pedro Street is the hippest place in Poblacion. Well, there's Felipe Street too but i think the former has the upper hand. Why? Well, there are a couple of establishments that cater to the hip crowd. One of which is Alamat
Alamat is located on the second floor of a two storey structure and shares the same space with Smokeyard, Buckys and Wild Poppy. Pretty cool huh?
You will be greeted by their awesome playlist upon entry. Indie baby! The bar occupies the biggest space and signage adorned by neon lights - Craft Beer For The People 🍺! What caught my eye is the mural, there were a couple of interesting illustrations that pays homage to Filipino Folklore - the mananaggal, tiyanak and good old fashioned aswang. Oh, that's why they went with Alamat as the name. This is me making an assumptions.

What brought me to a hipster pub on a Friday night? Well, the wonderful people of Sriracha Philippines invited |oo|oo. There are 8 restaurants who participated the event and guests can try their sriracha infused dishes.
Alamat decided to incorporate ze infamous hot sauce in a cocktail. Wait! Whuut??? It is time for Sriracha Shots!!!
Sriracha Shots (Php 500 per bottle and Php 80 per shot). The cocktail is comprised of T Triple Sec, Calamansi and Pomelo Juice, Lemon Grass Syrup, Sriracha and some red bell peppers. It sounds interesting and daunting at the same time. I love chili but sriracha on alcohol sounds a lil iffy. I took a shot nevertheless. Hmmmm, you can taste the sriracha alright, the spiciness and alcohol glides through your throat and lingers for x number of minutes. Spice level is mild (my tolerance for spice is way off the scale, a mild can be spicy for others).
Salted Egg Chicken Wings with Aligue Sriracha Sauce. I gotta hand it to Alamat, this is more than the usual sriracha wings. Don't let the myriad of components discourage you, everything works well together. The exterior of the chicken is coated with sriracha x aligue mixture. The former tones down the richness of the later. The salted egg flavor didn't get lost in transaltion as you get to taste it on every bite. Spice level wise, uhmmm, I'll say it is a - 1. Albeit the lack of heat, i enjoyed every bite.
Overall, Alamat did an excellent job in terms of incorporating Sriracha on their dishes. And yes, i am paying them another visit in the near future. Their craft beer roster looks promising.
Oh, The Smiths was playing on our way out. Ze ultimate date song, the era defining There Is A Light That Never Goes Out.
Peace Out!

Ordered their craft beers and regional sausages and they were great! The ambience hits home with the theme. My only concern is their high seats, which can be uncomfortable to sit on. I wanna relax and enjoy the atmosphere, but the seats force me to sit straight all night.
Ordered Bacon Bagnet, Bagoong Rice, and Sisig and they were good. Service, and Ambiance was good as well. Good place to chill👌👌👌👌👌👌👌.
Some friends and I went out smack in the middle of the week (Wed night) to go hunting for a new hangout place and stumbled upon this little gem of a pub in the always fun Don Pedro st. Alamat is an All-Filipino showcase all the way, with World Music playing in the background, a beautiful warrior mural, parol inspired lighting, a regional menu, and a strong selection of locally made craft beers.
The servers are a lively, witty bunch and we had their full, undivided attention as they gave out their craft beer and food recommendations. The food...oh my God, the food... Sarap!
Here's a list of what we got:
Summer Passion craft Beer, Mountain King craft beer
Weizen wheat beer, Santol cocktail, Indi chips w Pinayti dip, Wagyu Bistek w Laing, & Artisan Sausage platter (Dinuguan, Inasal, & Adobo w Salted egg).
No hits and misses here. Everything is delightfully awesome.
