The smoked malasugi kinilaw. I'll be honest I was expecting a waste of great fish when I first saw this on the menu. I was expecting a so and so kinilaw hyped up with use of a more expensive fish than tuna. The fish was perfectly smoked. The texture of the fish was meaty and juicy. The acidity of the marinade did not cook the fish like a Mexican style Ceviche where the fish was left to cook in the marinade, it was more like a Peruvian style ceviche where timing is everything. Now Let's get to the leche de tigre. The sauce was simple not over powering any element of the dish even though it was spicy. Every other ingredient was well thought of and complimented the whole experience. The cucumbers, the chilis and the onions all worked well together then the pomelo pieces added an element that was more like a reset button for my palate. This dish goes from first base, second base, third base and then a home run (yes it's a sex analogy). This is a dish that you plan for if I was back in Cali. I would "medicate" with a nice sativa like a jack herrer before the meal and pair this with a nice and bright Chardonnay from either the Russian River valley or nice young French one. And this is just one dish on the menu. #fuckthatsdelicious.
Great food, great drinks, great ambience and awesome service! We didn't have enough local cash as we were visiting from overseas but the staff was kind enough to help us draw cash from an ATM. We visited 2 nights in a row and we will come back just bec its an awesome experience. Respect that they do not receive card payments. Don't blame the staff or the bar. Cheers again Alamat! ��
Their drinks are on point especially Blonde Ale of Pampanga taste amazing, even the accompaniment of beers are good such as the fishballs.

Alamat is the place to be in Poblacion! Laiza and Robi always makes me feel like I’m home and makes sure i get the drink that i deserve! Salted egg chicken skin is a must try best paired w lambanog (for me).

Alamat would always be one of the top of mind places for me for drinks and hanging out but they always, ALWAYS surprise me with their take on Pinoy food and so far it’s been good. Tho it takes a while for the food to arrive, it’s always been worth the wait. And it helps that they have staff that can really explain their dishes well :)

Food/Drinks: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
1. Saan-tol? : This was the cocktail I ordered for myself and it was delicious, the santol juice was sweet and mixed well with the gin.
2. Chicken skin with salted egg : chicken skin was a bit hard but still soo yummy; the remainder of the salted egg was served on the side and it took me some time to realize that it was salted egg I was dipping my chicken skin into; I needed pinakurat vinegar for this dish as it had a bit of “oily” aftertaste to it
3. De puta madre : one craft beer that had a bit of coffee liquer aftertaste in it, it was delish btw!
Price: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cocktail and food were reasonably priced. The craft beers are a bit on the pricier side though for the craft beers I have tasted, it was worth it anyway. Maybe you come here to try one craft beer at a time if you are not willing to pay too much for one just one night of craft beer.
Atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
We first placed ourselves on the balcony, and given that it was an early Sunday, there were just a couple of people hanging out in there. Good ambience and good music was there but I just want to say that it was so hot on that side of the bar - I was sweating more than I am comfortable. We moved inside to where the a/cs were supposed to be on but then it was still so warm in there. Maybe it was because of those candles they have in there or their a/cs were really turned off, I am not sure. Needless to say, I was not comfortable with their temperature setting that I did not enjoy my stay too much 😭
Service:⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wait staff were proactive and cheerful enough. All smiles even to their customers as they serve them orders.
Side note: toilet was shared with other bars so you know what to expect with that kind of situation.
I love the Filipino-inspired cocktails that they have. Very unique. They even have one called Tahoooo which has pearls in it. The only thing I felt lacking was the space. It's kinda hard to get a table especially when it's a weekend
It's a little cramped inside but they have nice interiors, they have great food, interesting Filipino -inspired drinks. Great place to hang out with friends in Poblacion.
Just sucks they removed their laing rice! :( It was sooooo good! I super love the salted egg chicken skin, i felt like i was in heaven. It's now my comfort food.
Went to Alamat on a fine saturday night. Definitely alot of people. We got several drinks and pulutan.
Craft beers:
Blonde ale from paranaque
Kiwi fruit beer from baguio
Lager beer from pampanga
Dalandan juice
Tamarind candy cocktail
Overall all drinks are okay.
For pulutan or snacks, we got the following:
Indi chips with cheese dip - very good combination
Slated egg chicken skin - too sinful, cant really taste the salted egg. Just normal.
