Been eating here since I was 8 years old, and now I am 22. This is the only italian or pasta place in the Philippines that can make your mouth orgasm. If you are uncultured and think Cibo is better than this then you better get your brain checked. This right here is the real deal.
This place is super convenient if you’re in the area to go to church or do your grocery. They have the best and I say the best Spinach pizza and their onion soup is too good!!! It is pricey that’s why I can’t give it 5 stars but food is great! It gets crowded yes, but it’s because of the food and the staff. Really great place to grab a bite!
The best italian restaurant in manila. Have the truffled spinach, parma ham canapes w/ mushroom, & angel hair pasta w/ shrimp. So good!...and cake for dessert 👍
My absolute pasta happy place. Never disappoints to be in this quaint resto of pasta heaven. For years I've traveled a long way through traffic to eat here and always make sure to order tartufo pasta too. They serve wine which is a big plus.
Be ready to spend AND get what you pay for, unless you think extra rice is life. Then portion size may disappoint you. If you mean to fix a pasta craving at say P300, give this a miss. It's not that kind of place. Tartufo at Illy Cafe will do the trick and quite possibly exceed your expectations. But if you want something more special, look past the small size of this resto, and give them a try. The people of Forbes certainly do and are truly lucky to have this gem of a place in their neighborhood.
Hands down, best pasta in town so far. This place never disappoints. They have managed to maintain the good quality of their pasta throughout all the years. Their Ravioli Verdi is really tasty and personally, i prefer this over their other best-seller, the Tartufo. The Pizza Due Gusti is also a crowd favorite. I would get their Zuppa Cipole again, though the soup was too salty for my palate. The Filetto Di Mando was good but not great.
Whenever we go to Makati, La Nuova is our go-to restaurant because of their Tartuffo pasta. 🙌🏻 This stuff’s authentic Italian goodness with its creamy truffle cream sauce, homemade al dente pasta, topped with salty prosciutto ham. ❤️ Yes, we’re obsessed with all things Truffle-flavored— no denying that. 😅
What can I say about them? This is my go to place whenever i’m craving for some good pasta before heading to BGC! It is a small place but, who cares they serve great food! I don’t mind anything else, I just mind my tummy 😋
You should definitely try it! I highly recommend pasteleria. 😁
Overpriced food but tastes good anyway. The pasta has a generous amount of clams which I really loved. The cake was delicious. First time to eat here and I can say that I would recommend this place.
Favorite place to eat since I was a baby. Be prepared to bump into a lot of people if you are from the area. Great food but steep prices :) order the truffle mushroom and spinach, the pesto alla nuova and the tartufo of course!
After our dinner in Va Bene (across Pasay Road) last last Friday, we had brunch in another Italian Resto the day after. It was surprising to know that there's a mini resto in San Antonio Plaza, an authentic Italian place, its La Nuova Pasteleria. Its a small place with about 15 tables inside. At the counter, it has wide range of Italian cold cuts and cheeses, cakes as well too. Having been inside, you can forget you are in Metro Manila.
We had:
Prociutto farcito, stuffed with spinach & gorgonzola, shrimp & bell pepper
Aglio Olio misto de pesce- mixed seafood, garlic, white wine and spaghetti noodles
Tartufo, white truffle cream, proscini mushroom and prociutto
Concorde cake, definitely a must try dessert! Creamy and scrumptious layers of chocolate mousse with crunchy meringue sticks.
Verdict: prices are a bit higher than other Italian resto, but the quality of food, ambiance, as well as the service is worth the price. Servings are quite big, good for sharing. But once you tasted the dish, I can't tell if you would still want to share 😜
