A good resto to dine in with family and friends. Awesome creative menu in filipino and fusion cuisine. Though its quite crowded and during holidays and weekends, its still worth the wait.

FOOD was delicious! Lots of choices. I love the shrimps. Very good and big. I love the dessert, the secreto ni maria taste so good. Very filipino indeed.

PLACE was ok. With a filipino touch as it was a filipino restaurant. It was kinda hard to move around if there are lots of people dining. As the tables and chairs were close to the others. Little room to roam around.

SERVER was very attentive even though it was already closing time. She refills our water every now and then. She checks in on us if we needed anything. She made sure that she was in our sight so we could call her attention anytime we needed her.

They serve Filipino dish but this one is more expensive than Mesa's (which is just around it). I'd say their recipes are a little better than the latter as they also serve some healthy food. Also serve in a bit more high-end manner and you won't feel the "masa" vibe unlike the other resto I mentioned. And they do serve premium brown rice too, if I'm not mistaken.

I found out about Lorenzo's Way through Zomato while looking for a good place to bring my parents to for lunch. The good ratings were justified as I tried their Sotanghon in Baby Pusit and Kare Kare. We were supposed to have their advertised Mahi-Mahi but it wasn't available so I had it replaced with Rosemary Chicken. Will try other dishes when we come back.

I knew for sure, through another LJC restaurant, that Sikreto ni Maria would be the perfect dessert so we had that too. My dad liked the Fresh Carrot Juice here.

If you're in Greenbelt, this is a must-try Filipino resto. Not only do they have good food but also, service is commendable.

For the three of us, I was supposed to pay 2010 pesos which includes a 10% service charge. With senior discount, it dropped to 1782.

When you're a Filipino, you always go back to your roots.

Though we've tasted better dishes than the ones in the photos, still giving a 4.0 combining it with their service.

Food can be improved but service was on point 👌

The restaurant implements a rendition of the Filipino-Spanish era, where most of their dishes implement Spanish cooking techniques on native ingredients. The food was great. I could say that the price lives up to its quality. The feel and ambiance of the restaurant is what stands out. It felt like every customer is always pampered.

This is the first time I've been to a LJC resto and luckily, for my first Zomato FC last July 2018 🚩 Lorenzo's Way serves Filipino-Spanish fusion cuisine and I can't wait to try them!

For the appetizers, we had the Kesong Puti Caprese and Caesar Salad. Both of the greens are good when paired with mains. I appreciate the salad dressing because I'm not that head over heels for greens, but this one caught me off guard!

For the mains, we had the Inihaw na Sugpo, Castillas de Ternera Guisada, Spanish Garlic Chicken, Adobong Puso ng Saging at Gambas, Black Pata, Paella Valenciana and Pancit Sotanghon sa Baby Pusit (for the noodles). My most favorite among them is their Black Pata. It very much tasted like the Pata Tim I've been craving for so long and that was definitely a hit for me. Especially their Paella and Inihaw na Sugpo! The Black Sotanghon was new to my tastebuds and it did not disappoint me. The Spanish Garlic Chicken was also savory.

For the desserts, the Gigil Tart, Baklava, and Mango & Almond Panna Cotta. I can't remember if I tried the Gigil Tart but I know I eat tarts so maybe I liked it (lol) and my pesonal fave was their Baklava-- it was heavenly! The panna cotta just doesn't look appetizing to me.

The place has a very classy Medieval/Filipino theme. The ambiance and the feel of the restaurant is sophisticated too. The staffs can also attend at your requests on most of the times. I even ordered for chamomile tea that time and they gave me a teapot of it! The price of their foods are a bit of expensive, but I'm pretty sure it's fair in overall.

Hoping to come back soon! [Last visited, July 2018]

Went here for a dinner with some friends. The staff were kinda busy since its a Friday. The place looks good at night too since we’re dining outside.

We ordered the paella and rosemary chicken. Both were equally delish! Food is quite pricey, but worth it.

Our team was treated for lunch here by our Department Head and I must say I had a great time trying out their version of the dishes from various provinces in the Philippines. Since the dishes are for sharing I got to taste a little bit of everything and I liked them all. What surprised me is that they also had buro. As expected not everyone liked it but surprisingly I did! The place is cozy. I must say this is highly recommended to locals and foreigners alike who’d like to experience the classic Filipino cuisine with some added twist.

I fell in love with Lorenzo.

First of all, shout out to the free fresh potato chips. Those were amazing. They need to sell those.❤️

The restaurant had a cozy friendly Filipino vibe which I loved. Their staff was friendly even tho they were super busy (it was Jan 1). Their teamwork is pretty cool 😎.

As for the food, I had Lengua Estofado (ridiculous soft and rich flavor. The cow tongue melts in your tongue), fresh tamarind juice (sweet but not too sweet. Perfect palate cleanser) and for the dessert my bf and I shared the "secret of Maria Clara- I'm not spoiling it for you! Im just going to say you're probably going to want more of her yummy secret 🤤

Truly enjoyed food and service here. I went here on January 1 and the place was packed but nevertheless the staff aced it.

Blue Hawaiian Shake.
It has blue curaçao and I’ve never had it. I didn’t taste alcohol, though. The taste was similar to a fruit bubble gum.

Rosemary Chicken.
I like rosemary but never had rosemary chicken before. There was only a slight tint of rosemary and I really liked it. Boneless chicken is the best :)

Sikreto ni Maria Clara.
A dessert that has sticky rice, vanilla ice cream and macapuno. Can’t get any better than that! Filipino desserts are superb.

I officially approve this place despite the fact that they didn’t have any prawns and two of the things that I wanted to order instead of the chicken were not available due to this fact.

P.S. They also provide free crisps while you’re waiting (similar to those you can find in Kultura).

Had Sunday lunch here and ordered the following:

- Sabaw ng Halaan at Buko
- Adobong Puso ng Saging at Gambas
- Spanish Garlic Chicken
- Lengua Estufada
- Pansit Sotanghan sa Baby Pusit
- Baklava
- Claude's Dream (carabao milk ice cream w/ pandan-flavored gelatin)

Everything's seriously good!  I was torn among the garlic chicken, pansit and puso ng saging as my favorite, w/ the halaan and baklava as close second.  Yeeesss, halos lahat sila favorite ko! 🤪🙈.

The garlic chicken was baked to perfection - tender and tasty with just the right intensity of garlic taste.  It's doused in olive oil which could be a problem for some, but I'm okay with it -- I liked pouring the extra oil over my rice for that extra oomph.  I loved their version of puso ng saging.  It's a good balance of sour and salty, and the gambas, garlic and chicharon bits added dimension to this dish.  The baklava was not overwhelmingly sweet (like the baklava I tried years ago), and the vanilla ice cream paired well with the filo pastry.

Never had I tried buko with halaan, or baby pusit with sotanghon, complete w/ the squid ink.  It might sound weird, but both worked great - subtly flavored, just enough to tickle the tastebuds.

Both the lengua and claude's dream are good, too.  The lengua was fork-tender, but just a tad salty and expensive for me.  The ice cream serving was milky/creamy but a bit too small;  I don't want to share, but unfortunately, I was forced to. 😂

Excellent service as well.  They served us complimentary camote chips (crispy and lightly seasoned) while we wait for our meal.  They also offered to portion the dishes that were meant for sharing and continually filled our glasses with service water all thru our meal.

Best to call ahead to reserve a table.  We were there a few mins after they opened and we were relegated to the only table available - right by the door.  While they also have alfresco dining, it doesn't seem like a good idea to eat outside on a hot, sunny afternoon.

Let me preface this review by expressing my gratitude to the LJC Group, and Zomato for an exclusive invite to feast on some of the dishes (17 dishes in total!) from all of LJC's nine food concepts, some of which are yet to be fully offered on their respective restaurant menus starting this September. ? As for Lorenzo's Way, we got to try their Pochero Especial, and their Fillet of Mahi-Mahi a la Provençale! The more memorable serving for me to be honest. The pochero, claiming to be cooked with a Filipino twist, still envoked its Spanish roots, was served in a clear, almost soupy broth, as opposed to what one would expect as "sarsa". It made me think of rainy days, and just how it could warm me up with its flavors. The Mahi-Mahi a la Provençal, was an elegant dish. I love the contrast of their mellowed mash, together with the sauce's bold flavors from its tamotoes, and capers. It could be eaten on its own, or if you're just like me, feeling like every dish you eat begs for rice, then go for it!

One of the classiest places to dine in around Greenbelt is Lorenzo's Way, from its decor, menu and service staff.

Lorenzo's Way showcases Mediterranean inspired dishes that are (mostly) favorites of Larry J. Cruz.

Recommended dishes are...

Kesong Puti Caprese Salad - rather than using mozzarella cheese, local kesong Puti is used

Spanish Garlic Chicken - roasted whole cloves of garlic and juicy chicken leg fillet is a crowd favorite

Paella Valenciana - a Spanish rice dish you shouldn't miss.

Pancit Sotanghon with Baby Pusit - a must-try! My favorite!

Gigil Tart - reminds me of bibingka with its salted egg component in a tart shell.

Lorenzo’s Way is a happy tribute to the man behind some of the country’s finest restaurants for over a quarter of a century. Here you will find LJC group’s founder, Larry J Cruz’s most adored dishes.

Should it be your first time or perhaps you have plans of re-visiting here are our recommended choices from starters, mains, starch, and of course desserts.

The Kesong Puti Caprese is composed of soft Laguna cheese with tomatoes and fresh house-made basil pesto. A refreshing starter to kick off your palate. This dish was originally served in Prego, and art deco Italian restaurant conceptualized by Larry Cruz back in the 1980s.

Next photograph is their Ceasar Salad has always been a favorite of ours. We like it the classic way. Crunchy romaine lettuce served with thick anchovy dressing, crunchy bacon bits to make add smokiness to the taste, and don’t forget those croutons for added texture.

SPANISH GARLIC CHICKEN

This is a perfect place to enjoy Filipino-Spanish cuisine. Lorenzo’s Way is part of LJC Group and ventured by Lorenzo “Larry” J. Cruz. Upon entering the restaurant, you’ll feel a homey vibes. It was earthy and very sophisticated. Interior looks perfect for romantic dates and family gatherings.

To start with our foodventures, they served first the appetizers such as Camote chips as complimentary snacks. The Kesong Puti Caprese – a soft cheese made from milk of cow with sliced of fresh tomatoes and pesto sauce. Such a great starter to prepare your taste buds for more.

You can never go wrong with their crispy and fresh leafy salad. Ceasar salad is a must try.

Now let’s go with the main course. First on the line is the PAELLA VALENCIANA – servings are good for 2 people or more. For me, this is the perfect paella that I have tried. I just love the rice. It was flavorful and overloaded of seafood and meat. Definitely one the best dishes of Lorenzo’s Way. Highly recommend to all.

Don’t forget to try also the Spanish Garlic Chicken- absolutely delicious. I just love how the way they cook it. It was very garlicky and sautéed with olive oil. Perfect with white rice.

I would like also to commend the Pancit Sotanghon sa Baby Pusit. The noodles just perfectly cooked in squid ink. The squid was fresh and chewy. Same thing with the Inihaw na Sugpo. It was freshly grilled. The meat was easy to remove.

The Black Pata is best with Mantao Bread.

For the Desserts, they served Baklava, Mango and Almond Panna Cota and Gigil Tart. Top of my choice is the Baklava because it was easy to eat. The taste was not too sweet. You will definitely taste the walnuts and pistachios. It was addicting.

For those people looking for the best and quality food. Lorenzo’s Way is perfect to fill you hungry tummy.

This is my family’s favorite from the LJC group of restaurants. This place reminds me of Sunday gatherings with the family, where food and conversations are heartwarming. ❤️

If you’re looking for a place to bring your balik bayan friends or relatives, I recommend Lorenzo’s way! The familiar Filipino dishes with a twist will definitely make them go back to this place and reminisce about hearty Filipino meals.

You must try the Sabaw ng Halaan at Buko - it’s fresh clams cooked in Buko. I can eat that forever. Don’t forget the BAMBOO RICE. Ahhh I don’t know if any restaurant can offer that good of bamboo rice. Bamboo rice alone is mouthwatering 🤤 Just thinking about it now makes me want to brave the EDSA traffic to go to Greenbelt.

Binukadkad na pla pla is best paired with ensaladang, and gising gising. The freshly fried fish is super crispy and good. You will not regret it.

If you’re not in the mood for Filipino food, you can try the King Prawns Creole Hollandaise. It will not disappoint. The Spanish garlic chicken is worth trying, too. You can tell how long it was cooked to perfection because the chicken meat is so tender.

Staying true to its tagline, taste really matters in Lorenzo’s Way. It is a tribute to the late Larry J. Cruz—the genius behind some of the legendary restaurants in the archipelago such as the famed Café Adriatico and Bistro Remedios.

Hence, every dish that has Filipino and Meditteranean touches is cooked with expertise, living up to the legacy of a fine restaurateur.

The interior of Lorenzo’s Way is a combination of rusticity and elegance. Diners will feel like they are being transported back in time with the wooden furnitures, long tables, carefully-selected artworks, porcelain dinnerware and cutleries.

It is perfect for social gatherings like graduation or birthday celebrations, or if you just want to impress your date.

The Spanish Garlic Chicken (P395) is undoubtedly our favorite dish from Lorenzo’s Way. The boned chicken baked with lots and lots of garlic cloves and olive oil hits the taste buds right with its mouthwatering flavor. We will order this again and again.

Black Pata (P850 for sharing, P430 for solo) is a delight to eat. The stewed pork leg is tender and juicy, and is best paired with cuapao.

A Filipino-Spanish dining experience will not be complete without Paella Valenciana (P650). The combination of squids, shrimps, clams, chicken, chick peas and white rice is delicious.

The Eatventurers also likes the Pancit Sotanghon sa Baby Pusit (P345).

Caesar Salad (P295), Inihaw na Sugpo (P675) and Adobong Puso ng Saging at Gambas (P295) all taste okay but not spectacular.

For the desserts, Baklava (P275) is a sure winner. It was our first time to eat this Mediterranean-style treat filled with walnuts and pistachios and it left a delectable taste.

The Gigil Tart (P199), which has fresh coconut meat and salted egg, is like an elevated version of the classic bibingka.

The Mango and Almond Panna Cotta (P245), however, is a miss. We were quite disappointed that the sliced mangoes were overripe and the Italian-style custard was bland.

The prices of the meals are a bit steep but for a restaurant that brings to table good food and will make stomachs full, a little splurge won’t hurt.

LJC have really mastered the crafting of good restaurants with classic familiar dishes that will really make you come back. One of my fave LJC resto is the Lorenzos way. Classic woody vibe inside. Their food are also really that classy comfort food that I really enjoy. One of my fave is their Spanish Garlic Chicken. Chicken is really always good but the tenderness of this and the full flavorful garlic is a sure winner! Another one that I enjoyed is the Sotanghon with baby pusit. Wow really just that classic good dish that I love. The beef short ribs and black pata are another sure winner for your craving.

Overall Lorenzos way is a sure win place of you want to splurge a little for good food!

The LJC Group has been in the business for a long time now. The truth of the matter, I was already in college when Cafe Adriatico was a big thing in Manila, the big thing in the 80's (yes, that's how old I am!). My point being? They know what they're doing. They know what success is.

And Lorenzo's Way is one of those successes. Being invited for a food crawl in Greenbelt was an experience one doesn't forget easily. I was there. How I enjoyed it.

Allow me to enumerate the ones that stood out. First, there was this Kesong Puti, soft Laguna cheese with fresh tomatoes and fresh basil pesto. The taste was unique and you can be sure that its creation came only from a brilliant mind. The Paella Valencia, a popular dish from Mil Novicientos (1900), partnered with the Inihaw na Sugo (grilled prawns with pickled green papaya). Why partnered? They went together... very well, in my opinion.

I, likewise, enjoyed the Adobong Puso ng Saging at Gambas. I like my puso ng saging tart and Lorenzo's Way's was tart enough which mixed well with the flavor of the shrimps and chicharones. Then, who could ever forget the tender Black Pata (stewed whole leg in soy sauce, cinnamon sugar and Chinese spices)? Colored evilly-black, tasted heavenly.

All three dessert served were all unforgettable. The Gigil Tart (fresh coconut meat and salted egg in a custard tartalette, drizzled with jaggery syrup); the Mango and Almond Panna Cotta (creamy Italian-style custard with sliced mangoes and honey syrup); and the star of that brunch (at least, in my book), Baklava, mediterranean-style sweet filo pastry filled with walnuts and pistachios; served with vanilla ice cream.

Lorenzo's Way was the first leg of our food crawl, everything went well, two more to go. A problem though. Our stomachs were already full in the initial station. Did I say A problem? We didn't think so. Smiles.

Tributes are an expression appreciation and can be represented in so many ways. They may focus on the positive influence of a person on our lives, or focus on their accomplishments. In many cases both topics are combined. Tributes can also celebrate the success of a group, a business, or an organization, rather than an individual. We honor heroes through building a statue or naming a structure or street after them. Or we make a montage of pictures or a short film for a loved one who passed. Some are more grandeur than others, just like the creator of the Taj Mahal. Emperor, Shah Jahan commissioned it to house the tomb of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

Lorenzo’s Way features some of the LJC Group’s signature dishes. For close to 30 years, Larry Cruz introduced dishes that caught the fancy of diners at his many restaurants.

With Lorenzo’s Way, a number of these signature dishes are getting a new lease on life. They serve Filipino and Spanish cuisines.

The location is easy to find. The place is spacious. The interiors seemed traditional but it maintained a cozy ambiance. The brown and wooden design were dominant all over the restaurant. The comfort room has a pleasant odor. Service is good. Our glasses were refilled with water whenever they saw it empty. They also asked us if there's anything that we need.

We have tried several dishes from Lorenzo's Way including some of their bestsellers:
Camote chips - crispy, thin, complimentary camote chips. It's good to eat it while you wait for your order.

Kesong Puti Caprese (P275.00) - the kesong puti had a mild taste but I was able to enjoy it along with the green veggie because the fresh basil pesto is strong and tasty.

Caesar Salad (P295.00) - the romaine is crispy/crunchy. It has crispy bacon and thin squares of cheese. I like it.

Paella Valenciana (P650.00) - good for two. Paella with a combination of seafood and meat. If you squeeze the lemon, its sourness will overpower the whole rice dish so better not squeeze it (unless you like it that way).

Inihaw na Sugpo (P675.00) - It tasted normal but I enjoyed eating it with soy sauce + calamansi.

Costillas de Ternero Guisada (P750.00/sharing, P395.00/solo) - it was savory. The beef is tender. It's easy to chew. It was overflowing with flavors. It is one of my favorites.

Spanish Garlic Chicken (P395.00) - its smell is good and appetizing. It is oily but the taste didn't disappoint as it was flavorful. The chicken was tender and the garlicky taste was absorbed by the meat.

Adobong Puso ng Saging at Gambas (P295.00) - it has chicharon bits. the previous dishes were too flavorful that the taste of this dish didn't mark my tastebuds.

Black Pata (P850.00/sharing, P430.00/solo) - the pork was tender just the way I like it. The sauce was thick and tasty. I can enjoy the meat, the fat, and its skin as my guilty pleasure. Eating it with the mantao bread is optional though I like to eat it with rice. It's one of those dishes that I'll eat again here.

Pancit Sotanghon sa Baby Pusit (P345.00) - it was too flavorful, and I like it. The noodles and the squid were soft, it's easy to eat and enjoy it with the squid ink. It is one of my favorites. It's one of those dishes that I'll be ordering again if I go back here.

Gigil Tart (P199.00) - a tart that tasted like bibingka because of the salted egg, and I think, the salted egg made it tasty. It can be enjoyed more by eating it with the whip cream. Now I know why it's called 'Gigil Tart'. It is one of my favorites.

Baklava (P275.00) - 6 small pieces of sweet filo pastry filled with walnuts and pistachios. It was chewy. It was sweet, and became sweeter when I start eating it with the vanilla ice cream.

Mango and Almond Panna Cotta (P245.00) - it was soft and easy to eat. A bit sweet for me but for some, it is just okay.

Prices were on the high end but for me, it is reasonally priced. Their dishes were overflowing with flavors. They elevated the standards of what a Filipino food should be.

Thank yoy for having us LJC Group of Restaurants, Lorenzo's Way, and ZomatoPH.

Restaurant number 1 of the food crawl.

A tribute to one of the legends in the restaurant business ,Lorenzo 'Larry" J. Cruz a renaissance man in the field of journalism, publishing and food business.

Lorenzo's Way is not your ordinary Fil-Hispano restaurant ,the style is distinct ,lot of class and very personal as with the lifestyle of Larry Cruz. The interiors breathe nostalgia ,antique accents, wooden objects and paintings from renown artists.

Dishes served were mostly close to the heart of Larry;mostly with some  Spanish,Chinese and Italian influences.

PAELLAS
*Paella Valenciana

Main Courses:
*Inihaw na Sugpo

*Adobong Puso ng Saging at Gambas
*Black Pata

NOODLES:
*Pancit Sotanghon with baby pusit

DESSERTS:

*Baklava
*Mango and Almond Panna Cotta

The quality of food and sevice were of high quality.I could say my favorite of all the LJCs restaurants.Below are my favorite dishes serve:

1.Kesong puti Caprese-Innovative by using our local Kesong puti .Lovely fresh tomatoes and fragrant basil pesto.A good way to start a meal.

2.Paella Valenciana-a complete meal with rice, seafood and meat. The rice was flavorful, ingredients were sourced well, the socarrat was flat out wonderful.

3.Spanish Garlic chicken- I like how the flavor permeates through the meat ,the generous amount of garlic, perfectly baked .Best eaten by eating the nutty garlic and chicken meat simultaneously.

4. Adobong Puso ng saging at gambas -very Pinoy dish, simple and looks mundane yet packed with a lot of flavors and texture.A vegetable dish of banana heart, shrimps and topped with pork chicharon bits.

5.Gigil Tart-I'm an unconventional diner whatever's new or innovative I really like. Fresh coconut meat blend with savory salted egg then poured upon with palm sugar concentrate.Very creative and yet spectacular dessert ,the harmony between sweet and salty builds a very good product.

All I can say for this restaurant are praises from the vibe, service ,history and of course the food .As a fan of old good stuff and an old soul this place is a marvel.

July 21, 2018 LJC Food Crawl FMU. 3 LJC Makati restaurants in a day.

For appetizers we had Kesong Puti Caprese & Caesar Salad. We had Paella Valenciana, Inihaw na Sugpo, Castillas de Ternera Guisada (braised beef), Spanish Garlic Chicken, Adobong Puso ng Saging at Gambas, Black Pata & Pansit Sotanghon sa Baby Pusit as mains. For dessert we had Gigil Tart, Baklava, and Mango & Almond Panna Cotta.

Quantity : Most serving size can be good for 1 to 2 persons.

Quality & Taste : The veggies in the appetizers were fresh & crisp. The appetizers were both good but I liked the caprese better because I like cheese, tomatoes & basil. The cheese had a mild flavor that worked well with the tomatoes & basil. The inihaw na sugpo was cooked just right and best eaten with your preferred sauce (soy calamansi or atchara). The braised beef was tender and delicious. Most chicken dishes I have eaten only had flavors on the outside or the sauce. This is one exception. The flavors were able to penetrate the insides of the chicken. If you want stronger garlic flavor, you can eat the garlic cloves with the chicken. The adobong puso ng saging had mild flavors. It was ok, cooked just right but I prefer mine with more bite, stronger flavors. The skin and fat of the black pata was soft & tender, had strong flavors and tasted good. The meat though tender is as usual/expected had milder flavors. The sotanghon & squid was cooked just right. The squid was tender and easy to chew. The squid flavor was just right and not salty. I needed to remind myself there were 2 more restaurants to go so I can stop eating it even if I still want to continue eating. The baklava was the sweetest among the 3 desserts. It was still chewy as expected but softer compared to the one I had in a Mediterranean restaurant. The panna cotta is mildly sweet, creamy & easy to eat. The gigil tart is the dessert I like best. It is mildy salty & sweet. I prefer desserts that are not too sweet. I happen to also like salted egg flavor that is why it won over the panna cotta.

Price & Overall : Prices are a bit on the high side but the dishes I had did not disappoint. Overall rating is above average and highly recommended.

To the unacquainted Lorenzo's Way may sound more like a 70's gangster film rather than a restaurant that serves Pinoy/Spanish/Medditeranean fusion cuisine. To a certain extent though this holds a small grain of truth, because Lorenzo's way was named after one of the God Fathers of fine Filipino cuisine, the Late Journalist Lorenzo "Larry" Cruz.

Originally intended to exclusively serve medditeranean inspired dishes, Lorenzo's way has evolved its entree' to fuse spanish and pinoy influences in order to cater to the more general dining public.

The Menu here is a collection of Larry's favorite dishes. It is a tribute to his fine taste that made his restaurant franchises ever so popular (he's not a trained chef and he doesnt cook so he must've had one fine taste). My personal favorites and I would recommend as must tries would be:

1.) Spanish Garlic Chicken - Baked with approximately 40 cloves of garlic, this dish is an absolute must have. Tender, moist and seering with well balanced garlic infusion, there are only a handful of baked chicken dishes I would rank above this one.

2.) Black Pata - It falls right of the bone with just a prod of the spoon (thats how tender it is) and it melts in your mouth with your first bite. Thats why you need to eat it with mantao bread, think of it like a thicker version of soy flavored pork peanut butter.

3.) Costillas de Ternera Guisada - Everything here just melts in your mouth! This braised beef short in the same way as the pata melts in your mouth. You can also taste the hints of wine it was cooked with giving that satisfying after taste.

4.) Paella Valenciana - One of the best Paella's I've tasted period. The rice dish retained the metallic flavors of the sea while still giving that distinct paella flavor we are so very culturally fond of.

The man trully had one heck of a taste and this restaurant is his way of sharing this unique gift of his to us. I do recommend that you try Lorenzo's Way if you are really fond of Pinoy/Spanish cuisine.

Dining at Lorenzo’s Way to celebrate my parents’ anniversary was a safe choice. Having tried almost all of the LJC restaurants, we were served delicious meals as expected. The price may be slightly higher than your average Filipino meal but with the portion and taste, it is worth paying for. Especially with good customer service and hot meals served at the same time, you and your company are sure to visit any one of their restos again. Since we have ordered their famous crispy pata and other bestsellers in Cafe Adriatico, tonight we opted for two of the new dishes. Lengua Pasta is good but preferably served in a warmer plate because beef easily solidifies in an airconditioned room. Likewise the barbecue chicken with java rice and salad is savory. The menu mainstays gambas and lengua estufado were really good too.

Lorenzo's way in a nutshell:

They start with serving you their kamote chips, which are ridiculously fun to munch on. Then your orders come in.

We had their fried chorizos, it was a bit spicy for my taste (I normally dont eat spicy food), then my coco loco prawns came in. This would cost you 675 for just 3 huge servings of prawns.. a bit costly for shrimps in bicol express sauce. The lengua estufada was also good, similar to UCC's lengua omurice without the egg, but less saltier.

The noteworthy dishes were the camp gourmet hickory spareribs and the lola isings adobo. The spareribs were very tasty and meat was really tender, I enjoyed every bit of it. The adobo is unlike any other. Very memorable as it resembles crispy pata turned into adobo, really really good.

we also tried their turon, and it was the most sosyal turon I've ever had, kidding aside

AND CAN I MENTION, that they do their avocado chiller/cooler best. It was so good, I finished it. Please dont miss it!

another favorite filipino restaurant because of their adobo! I love the food here, very authentic and of great quality. They take their food seriously, everything tastes great! They delivered well-balanced taste for everything that we have ordered.

Another LJC restaurant, for filipino food they are our definite go-to. Consistent in flavor in all their branches and a good menu.

We always order their beef caldereta, tender beef pieces with stewed tomato sauce. You will want to order that extra cup of rice. Pair that with their kare kare and you’re all set. Rich peanut sauce with ox tail, another dish you’ll want with rice.

Place is smaller than I expected, probably because it was a Friday night and there are a lot of people dining in the restaurant. Food is superb, especially the seafood dishes. The gambas, though I preferred mine to be cooked sizzling, is spot on, especially that sauce I used for the bread. The fried fish is crunchy and it stayed that way all the way through. The crispy pata is crunchy and tender at the same time. Their bamboo rice is a bit salty, though it's realy savory (you can eat it alone or with another dish)

Vinegar is an almost inseparable condiment of Filipino food, thus a primary consideration when pairing it with wine. This blend of Sangiovese and Merlot from Puglia (the heel of the Italian map) paired well with the Oxtail Kare-Kare and Pinakbet. Lorenzo's Way is, in my own opinion, a good place for local people to treat foreign business friends to local cuisine (although I myself is a foreigner too).

Lorenzo's Way is part of the group responsible for Abe's, Fely J, Cafe Adriatico, etc.

For my birthday dinner, hubby and I was supposed to eat at another resto but it was full and we were already hungry and so we opted to find another resto instead. We are familiar with the sister companies of Lorenzo's Way so we decided to try and dine here.

We ordered a solo serving of bulalo which serves 2-3 pax as per the waiter. We asked to have this served first since we truly were already hungry. The soup is good but hubby's comment is it tastes more like beef cubes rather than the one made from scratch but for me it's ok. They didn't scrimp on the beef and vegetable.

While waiting, they prepare chips (I think it's camote), which I loved.

Paella Valenciana was good. We were informed that it takes 30 mins preparation time for this. It's good but a bit pricey for P650. But due to the complexity on how to cook this and the seafoods then I guess it's ok.

Grilled Liempo was, sad to say, disappointing. The pork does not taste fresh so we had this one cancelled.

Fried Tilapia with Mango Chili sauce is ok. We asked for the chili sauce to be served separately.

Fruit Platter (P250), is composed of a piece of banana, around 10 pcs grapes, a few chunks of pineapple, melon and watermelon.

Can't decide if this is a place we'll go back to since we still love Fely J's better and it's on the same place, just have to go up a few floors so might be taking the extra trip up to Fely J's.

Had a great dinner at Lorenzo's Way in Greenbelt 5.

Started off with a good glass of Sangria and a glass of house red wine

Ensaladang Pilipino was a simple assortment of steamed veggies - bitter gourd, Kangkong, raw mango, eggplant and tomatoes - with 3 dips including bagoong and patis. Simple but healthy.

Beef Caldereta was the star of the evening - succulent beef chunks in a rich tomato broth. The best Caldereta we've had.

Spanish Chicken was very good as well. Baked chicken with loads of garlic in olive oil. Very tasty chicken.

Tried a couple of desserts - Claude's Dream and Baklava. Both were ok.

Ordered:

Crispy baby squid - pretty decent. Not too much breading and the spices give it the taste. Would recommend if you like squid as an appetizer.

Spanish chicken - this is so juicy! The garlic taste is divine.

Pla pla - menu says good for 3 but I was able to finish it on my own. Was good but still had a few small bones.

Will definitely return!

Lorenzo's way is one of those restaurants that serves filipino dishes with a twist. My favorite here though are the traditional ones which are beef salpicao and gambas. The seasoning and taste was perfect and the beef was very tender. I can never forget my funny experience while drinking their sabaw ng halaan and buko. I was dining with a client when I casually took a tablespoon of the soup. Because of the unique and refreshing taste of the soup, I think I finished it fast that because of the buko's acidity, a strip got inside my nose. I had to force cough so I could take the buko off my nosepipe?? Loll the soup was delicious though. 😅 Just make sure to be careful because of the acidity of the soup. Lolll

We had our romantic dinner last night perfect for valentines day. 😊 The place is full of red flower petals scattered on the floor and tables plus a candle light also. They have very accomodating and friendly staff. They are very attentive.☺
The food is pricy but it's very delicious. We ordered Lengua Estufado and Camp Gourmet Hickory Ribs. The ribs is very tender you don't have to use the knife. 😉 Lengua Estufado is also delicious. We don't like their rice because it is very dry. We also tried their Love potion cocktail. My boyfie love it. 😊

Been hearing a lot of good things about this restaurant, and finally, I had the chance to try this one out. For appetizer, we had their baby squid which was a bit normal. For the main course, we had Lengua Estufada, Spanish Garlic Chicken, and gising gising. The gising gising was ordinary, but the Lengua and the Chicken were damn good. The Lengua was tender and the sauce really went well with the meat. The Chicken initially seemed ordinary but the juiciness of the meat and the flavor of the garlic and other spices made it a standout dish in their menu. As for the dessert, we had their claude's dream and choco almond cheesecake, which were both ordinary. Overall, Lorenzo's Way stands one star behind my rating for Abe.

Lorenzo's Way in Greenbelt has become one of my firm favorites, especially for dining with foreigner friends who would like to have a taste of Filipino cuisine.  It has never embarrassed me.  I was just there yesterday for lunch.
The dishes we have ordered taste great and look appetizing.  The place is clean, pleasant and well-decorated.  The servers are attentive, though in a few instances, they need to learn how to better explain in English what the local ingredients are in the dishes.  I was told the toilet is also nice -- and I'll give it a 5.0 if I can confirm this.
The best dishes are the Sugpo in Aligue, Gising-gising, Bamboo Rice and for dessert, Claude's Dream.   I do need to try more from their menu.

When locals eat food that is not from here (Italian, French, etc) our gauge is basic. How it tasted (which more likely is synthesized to fit our palate), how it was plated, etc. For those who aren't well traveled, we don't have proper comparison for how it should taste compared to the "real" thing.

Filipino food is different though. My mom's an amazing cook. Kung baga kapag magkukumparahan meron na ako kaagad na basehan. I think for a restaurant to serve Filipino food is ballsy. For one main fact, Filipinos are very particular with how our food should be done. If we hear or say a comment somewhere along the lines of "Mas masarap pa luto ng nanay ko" ayawan na, wala ng gana. I'm very guilty of this lalo na kapag kare kare. (KASI PANLABAN ANG KARE KARE NG NANAY KO) My main point is Filipino food is not given a chance to be revolutionized. Local ingredients are treated the same way since time immemorial. At dahil araw araw natin kinakain, madalas nakakasawa.

Lorenzo's Way is different though. They have home grown favorites done the usual way and then they turn locally grown/ produced foods and treat it with international flare. Kesong Puti Caprese, SARAP PLS! (Perfect balance between the saltiness of the cheese, sweetness from ripe tomatoes, & earthiness/ savoriness in general of the pesto. None overpowered the other.) Cheese, tomato, and basil pesto isn't an unusual troop around the world. But here it is, especially that the Philippines is, ano ba, parang baguhan to the cheese culture. The beef rib stew supposedly should taste different, I mean, if they cooked it with red wine it should taste different. Pero hindi lasang kaldereta, sana pala beer inorder ko hindi wine. HEHE! The baklava is heavenly sweet and delicate and loving and yummy. Dipped it in vanilla ice cream. Ay wala na, ready na akong maggym ulit afterwards!!!

THE SERVICE is impeccable too!! I don't know if I was early for dinner rush or they were just really alert and hands on! My water glass was always cold and full. My ashtray was always emptied out. My food came in when I wanted to eat it. May paonting chismis here and there pa.

SO YAY for them! YAY YAY YAY!

Went Filipino food for a change 😜

I frequent the BGC branch for practical reasons (proximity from home & work). With the surge in the number of restaurants in the metro, I reckon it's just proper to circle back and have a taste of our local fare.

We went for some hardcore pinoy food; the knockout knuckles (crispy pata), calamares en su tinta (adobong pusit with the ink) and the gising2x. All were good but nothing special but factoring in the prices and ambiance, it's still a thumbs up. I still prefer the BGC branch though, it's got a better vibe (for me at least).

Lorenzo's Way is a good restaurant if you want Filipino food served with a twist. They make ordinary local cuisine extra special by adding their own flavors. For dinner we had the squid with blank ink, crispy pata, garlic chicken, kare-kare and the pla-pla (type of fish). I must say that all of them are a must try and highly recommendable especially if you have guests who love Filipino food and for those foreign visitors who have not yet tasted our local cuisine. The ambience was also great and the staff are very accommodating. A lot of people dine during lunch and dinner so make sure to come early.

Lorenzo's Way is a part of the LJC group of restaurants which also owns Fely J's, Abe, and Bistro Remedios, to name a few. This resto, like their other Pinoy restos, is more on the high-end side, as can be seen from their pricing. For what we had, we paid something like P1K per head.

For appetizers, we had their chorizos, baked clams in garlic, and squid in sweet/spicy sauce. We liked the chorizos and squid best. Their clams were just OK in taste, but were very small so you don't get much for your money.

For mains, we had the oxtail kare-kare, fried pla-pla, Lola Ising's adobo and their gising-gising. The kare-kare was alright but not the best I've had. Disappointed that it somewhat lacked quantity for what we paid. The pla-pla was great and is a recommended order. It was served with mustasa and burong hipon, the latter which was just OK. My benchmark for burong hipon is still the one served in Balay Dako in Tagaytay. The adobo was the wet type, not the dry adobo that I enjoy more. It was cooked more like a humba. It was quite good nonetheless. Finally, their gising-gising was just so-so. It did have the mild spice one expects from the dish but the coconut milk could be improved in richness and taste.

For desserts, we had their lava cake with bananas, a version of their sansrival, and turon. The first 2 were quite alright but I did not enjoy the turon as much.

Again, I found the place quite expensive for Pinoy fare. As I've always said before, it is very difficult to make Pinoy food expensive. We paid more for the place and ambiance.

Decided to have Filipino cuisine yesterday for our annual holiday lunch and only one name stood out, Lorenzo's Way. This is another favorite of mine for years; near the office and home, inviting ambiance, and definitely good food.

While waiting for our food, we were served with unlimited cassava chips. Then came our Baked Cheesy Spinach. It's like a whole meal, resembled like a baked lasagna. Delightfuly salty and creamy, but lush.

For our main entrée, we chose Paella Valenciana, Binukadkad Pla-Pla, Beef Kaldereta, and Gising-Gising. Everything was served simultaneously, which I think should be the norm for all restos. This is to fully enjoy the limited time and for continuous munching. Going back, all the dishes served to us would suit any Filipino palette. Really good food.

Downside: claude's dream is too ordinary..

Since my bestfriend came back from Vietnam, she was craving for something Pinoy so we went to this place. Here's what we ordered:

KKK - their version of kare kare. I am not a fan of kare kare but the taste and the bagoong is okay.

Adobo - 2 large tender meat with the classic sauce of adobo. Since nagsasabaw ako ng sauce...the waiter gave me on the side sauce of adobo! I didn't ask for it but since the waiter heard me that I like the sauce of adobo, he surprised me with it (on the side). Talk about good service.

Grand iced tea - mix of pineapple and guava (was it guava, i can't remember). I was hesitant to order it so the waiter gave me a glass for me to taste. I loved it!

For a Filipino food it was pricey but the ambiance is leaning towards fine dining so the price was commensurate to the ambiance.

Lorenzo's way (part of LJC restaurants) truly live up to its tagline "where taste matters" because they really serve good food. This place is perfect for romantic dates, family gatherings and get-together with friends because of the relaxing ambiance.

Food
While waiting for food to be served, they offered complimentary sweet potato chips which is actually good. It's always a plus when restaurants serve food while you wait. We ordered their Camp Gourmet Hickory Ribs and Black Pata for main course. Claude's Dream and Leche flan Royale for dessert. Tamarind Shake and Mango Juice for our drinks. They also served 3 pieces of buns for the Black Pata because as told by the server, you can make the patatim as fillings to the bun (making something like a siopao). Everything was actually good except the desserts. Nothing special for the desserts we ordered and I must say it's a lil bit pricey. Claude's Dream tastes just like the ordinary buko pandan with ice cream and their version of leche flan is just ordinary for me. But the Black Pata, it tastes really good and cooked to perfection. Something commendable too is the server who made his recommendation when I asked him which of the drinks will I order. He told me to try their Tamarind shake and even made a bet with me that if I didn't find the shake delicious then he'll be the one to pay. Well good thing I really liked their tamarind shake.

As we waited for our food, we were served with plain sweet potato/camote/kamote chips. It’s always a plus for me when restaurants serve mini-snacks when you wait. And it’s a good thing it’s not the usual slightly salted peanuts or kropek. Besides, sweet potato is a healthier alternative to our potato friends. Though it’s a bit hard, it’s still very tasty with a hint of sweetness to it. I wasn’t able to stop myself from getting just one chip. Or maybe I was just really hungry.
Their tea concoction is mix of guava and pineapple that makes one refreshing drink. I could actually taste both fruits in my tea which pleasantly surprised. Normally, one fruit would be dominant but this was just right.
As our appetizer, we had Crispy Baby Squid which is from Bistro Remedios (an LJC Restaurant). Its light coating doesn’t make it that crispy which is good so as to appreciate the squid more. It’s best to dip it in the sweet chili sauce.
Another one from Bistro Remedios, their version of Gising-Gising was quite good. I actually had some regrets having them lessened its spiciness for it was not spicy AT ALL. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it. The kangkong stems were quite crunchy that it awakened my tastebuds. Instead of having this with ground pork, they had a couple of shrimp mixed in. To fully get the flavor of this coconut based dish, plain rice is the way to go.
Maybe we should have headed to Malate and ate at Bistro Remedios instead. Yes, another one from that restaurant. I only noticed it now that most of our dishes came there. Anyway, this beautifully fried tilapia was paired with good old soy sauce and “balo-balo” (Kampampangan fermented rice). I tried the latter and instantly went back to dipping the fish in the soy sauce. I apologize “balo-balo” but you are not for me. This dish was okay. Not really a fan of fried fish for I prefer grilled ones. Still, it’s a good pair to our other dishes.
And the priciest dish of all is legitimately from Lorenzo’s Way. Costillas de Ternera Guisada is braised beef short ribs with a couple of vegetables and olives cooked in wine. What amazes me about this was THE BEEF. It was so tender and soft that chewing was sort of out of the question. What about the sauce? It was a win for me too. I’m the type of person who likes putting sauce in plain rice and that’s just what I did. I placed an almost generous amount of sauce on my rice, added some beef and veggies, and was a very happy kid. Indeed, this was muy bien.
Although most of our dishes came from their sister restaurant, it still gave me a good idea of how their dishes are. The good thing about having food from other restaurants is that you get a glimpse of what that other one is, thus, making one go there. One thing is for sure though, I’ll definitely go back. Maybe next time, I’ll dine al fresco with legit dishes from Lorenzo’s Way and with a glass of wine.

This dish was like a bibingka and the saltiness from the salted egg, the sweetness of the custard and syrup and the texture from the bits of coconut meat makes it very unique.

For a rich nutty treat to end your meal, you will love Toffee Sans Rival. Meringue layers are filled with a rich caramel butter frosting and crushed cashew nuts. If you like sans rival, this toffee version will surely become a favorite.

Claude’s Dream Pandan jelly with macapuno ice cream topped with fresh coconut meat.

A good establishment is not complete without a good staff. But Lorenzo’s Way has the best! They were the ones responsible for making our Lorenzo’s Way experience exceptional.

Larry Cruz definitely made his lasting contributions to Manila, and it is worthwhile to pay tribute to this great man by eating in Lorenzo’s Way.

Service was excellent. The receptionist was very friendly and efficient and had us seated in a few minutes.

The server knows the menu well and was very helpful and even offerred items that they can cook which were not on the menu.

Food was on our table in about 15 minutes and taste good which was as expected from this restaurant chain.

Will definitely go back to and even recommend to friends.

Best halo halo in my opinion but when it comes to the full dining experience I'd skip it. It's fluffed up Filipino food that's made out to be pretentious but it just doesn't deliver. The adobo was utterly disappointing but it's description had it out to be the truth from abuela's kitchen. Fail.

Who would have thought this fancy Filipino restaurant is inexpensive at all? Lorenzo's way offers the best Filipino dishes that is worth the calories and worth the extra pounds. I love the interior design of their restaurant because its too Filipino which it very relaxing. If you are a steak lover You should try their steak it's like a perfect fusion of the american and filipino flavors!!

After a walking out of a restaurant with bad service, The Lorenzo's Way staff were a breath of fresh air. Wasnt really expecting to eat filipino this evening but i'm glad i tried it, we ordered kare kare, spanish garlic chicken. The server, jaycee, recommended we get the solo as it's good for 2 people, so we took his advice. Their banana chocolate volcano( i dont know if thats the correct name) was surprisingly good. I would go back to this restaurant, they also have a nice ambiance to it

Lorenzo's Way. When we've got a big group of family and friends craving for Filipino food with convenience, I always recommend one of the LJC Group restos. I've known them for "binukadkad na plapla", "dilis-a-staple-with-rice", "never-too-enough-of-garlic-in-adobo" and "buko soup". Still reliable to make tummies pretty happy.

I found out about Lorenzo's Way through a blog that listed the best eats in Greenbelt. The ratings were good and so were the reviews, thus made me more curious to try this resto.

Aside from the great location and homey-feel of the place, they offer great tasting food. Some even said that they serve the best Kare-kare in town. As for me, my favorite would be their Beef Salpicao. The beef was perfectly cooked, meaning medium-rare, juicy, soft and well-seasoned. Another that tops my list would be their Baked Cheesy Spinach and Banana Blossom Dip.

Lorenzo's Way is perfect for those who misses home-cooked meals and for those who wanna taste the best of filipino food.

This is high end Filipino food with great service. They do great Halo-Halo for desert and a very refreshing Ice Tea. Their take on Tilapia is wonderful. JC was the waiter and I would ask for him next time, very friendly with a smile. Not our first time and not our last. Good job
