It was my father's birthmonth when we dined at SM Southmall branch.
The dishes were great. But the thing that I didn't like was the fruits that they served, I think it was already spoiled.
I gave 3 for the staff. There are so accomodating and kind. And 1 just to satisfy my cravings. This is better than hukad resto. When we dine in here, few dishes to choose from. I dont even see the california maki that i saw on this page. Thats what i really want thats why we dine in there. Its ok for the price and if you are craving for filipino food.

This branch Not too spacious not too small.
They have their own set food/viand that is not available in moa (and moa has their own set of food as well) and that’s kinda cool because to my surprise they have onion rings and pritchon “make you own wrap” style. I will always love their dinuguang tagalog style and the shrimp buro plus kare kare with tuwalya strips, simply made and not overrated but Cabalen will satisfy your hunger for filipino buffet.
Their dessert area needs to improve tho.. but when it comes to main course I can say that it’s worth it.
Servers refill the water from time to time but one server made me cringe and I just laugh coz he doesn’t know their closing time but that’s okay hehe.
Overall thumbs up.

The usual Filipino food (kapangpangan). Nothing extra ordinary. The place is kinda small. Good thing we went there on a weekday cause if it was on a weekend, The place is gonna be cramp'd and maddening.

I would say food is good for the price. If you are into quick and affordable filipino buffet.this is the place. Since its very affordable, you should not expect much. But the good thing about this resto is that, you wont need a reservation and the staff are very accommodating. They will look after you every single time, ready to assist you whenever you need to.kudos to you guys pa rin.
Good food and good service. The staff are polite and helpful. Other than that the place is clean with a good room temperature and there is no time limit. When to start eating and when to finish. It's an absolute buffet for me. But I'm still hoping that this would be the same as MOA's Cabalen since it is a combination of asian and filipino cuisine.
