Brewer's Kitchen is one of the places I would go to for a "Pregame" meal, and I would't mind staying even longer for the Pregame proper lol. (Pregame = Drinking alcohol before attending a party, or a social function.)
Brewer's Kitchen in itself is a good restaurant to bring some friends or family (kids included), and even when one does not have any plans of drinking at all. Upon arriving at the place, one will notice how organized, minimalist, and stylish the restaurant is.
As with the food, the flavors were great and the food tasted as good as they were presented.
My picks from their menu:
1.) Sea Bounty Salad
-I remember freshness of the veggies (and the sweetness of the mangoes) highlighted by the Calamansi vinaigrette, and made extra special with the grilled pink salmon.
2.) Mozzarella Bombs
-Decent quality of the mozzarella served crunchy on the outside and soft-gooey on the inside. Their homemade Pomodoro sauce added more character into the dish, making this dairy treat almost impossible to surfeit on easily
3.) Salted Egg Hand Cut Fries
-At first I didn't like it. After the meal however, when I was enjoying my draft beer--Single Speed Imperial Stout 9% (Creamy, Chocolate Dark Beer, which is bitter and nowhere close to chocolate-y, but honestly good once the taste grows on you. This is some stronger beer here, just a heads up), I have realized that the two complement each other so well.
4.) Rack of Skewers
-Definitely a photo-worthy choice. Should it be a a bit difficult for you to feast on it while on the rack, you may ask the servers to disassemble the skewers, to be placed on a plate. As a whole, the taste was commendable; The Thai Pork and Chicken were great, but I was a bit confused between whichever the Veal and the Hungarian sausage was. My bad.
5.) Slow-Cooked Beef Belly
-Splendid flavor (from the herbs, spices, and red wine reduction)
-Remarkable tenderness (cooked in the oven for 8 hours)
-One can take a pick from their available sides. I'm a rice eater at the same time a fan of spicy food, so I chose the Kimchi rice. Other possible picks: mashed potatoes, garlic rice, garlic bread, adobo garlic rice, biscuit, steamed rice.
6.) Pork Schnitzel
-Reminds me of the Japanese Tonkatsu. Fried pork cutlets with crunchy breading on the outside, topped with their thick mushroom gravy. Something I would order again the next time I visit.
7.) Draught RED WINE
-Montelvini Italian Merlot
The servers were very attentive and warm. They looked neat and smart. The restroom was well-maintained.
Brewer's Kitchen is living up to how gastropubs should be: upscale dining experience with creative flavors in a casual setting.
Superb food! Specially their Parmesan Cream Baked Fish. Food presentation is great! And I finally found my fave beer hoegaarden which serves in real draft. Love it!
Mouth-watering food. Total foodgasm. I even loved the salad (I don't eat much veggies btw so yep, 5 fingers up for me
