One of the oldest restaurant in cebu that offers great and tasty chicken. Been here with my family for dinner. Ordered shrimp sinigang, lumpia shannghai, grilled fish, beef steak, chicken skin, chicken meal with coleslaw, fried rice, pancit bijon. All foods were delicous and tasty. The soup was so rich, it delivers a punch of flavor, it was so rich, spicy and earthy. The beef steak's seasoning was spot on! The chicken meal and chicken skin was seasoned beautifully, it was so crunchy it was bursting with flavor. The coleslaw was classic. It was sweet and nicely balanced and it has a creamy dressing, The grilled fish was delicate and light. Overall we were really satisfied and full. The ambience was okay, nothing really special. It was crowded. Lighting tone though was perfectly glowy and warm. Staff were friendly but service was slow paced.

When we ate here, the place was so busy. Almost 30 minutes when the lady approaches us and gave the menu. Nevertheless, the food was so good especially their coleslaw for the chicken.
One of the best chickens so faaar... tho the shakes are not so impressive... there is an ample parking since this branch located in one mango...

It was a hot day, so the first thing we ordered was Halo-Halo. It was really thirst-quenching. However, I just wished that the bowl was not filled to the brim; we cannot eat without spilling the contents. On the other hand, I'm not saying they should have served us with an inadequate amount of Halo-Halo to prevent it from spilling, either. Lol.
Anyway, I would still recommend this restaurant. Food was absolutely great.

We went here for dinner and there were only a few customers dining in.
I enjoyed their chicken but my friends who ordered sizzling squid, fried lumpia and sizzling tenderloin strips didn’t like their food.
Also, their staff wasn’t that attentive, I hope they could make an improvement.
Sunburst truly has "the taste that sticks". For years they have lived up with that. One thing about this branch though that I don't really appreciate is the service. The waiters and waitresses were very noisy and were not that attentive to their customers' needs. Hopefully they could do much better next time.
Mother of chicken. One of the best tasting fried chicken i had ever tasted. Would highly recommend to comeback and eat some more. The chicken skin hits the spot.
It's my second time to dine here this year. I either buy the Sunny Solo or the Sunduo (2 pcs), and of course the Chick'n Crackers which is probably the best chicken skin I've ever found in any restaurant here in Cebu. The Chick'n Crackers are really crispy with the right amount of saltiness (and they're served generously). Their fried chickens though are often times dry (Sunburst seriously needs to work on that). What's even more disappointing, they don't have their own gravy.

If you can wait, they serve some of the best fried chicken in the city. I always get their sunduo (two pieces) or the classic (3 pieces). I really do not mind waiting for a good fried chicken. I also love having coleslaw with my chicken. For sauce it Worcestershire Sauce with Catsup for me. I usually ask for a Del Monte Tomato Catsup instead of their usual banana catsup.
We also love eating the chicken crackers. It is sinfully good and it makes you eat lots of rice. My latest visit here was on a Sunday afternoon with my wife and the service was pretty ok as there were only a few people there. We did not really wait long for the chicken. It is fast for their standards although normally they are a bit slow because they only cook the chickens once someone makes an order.
They first served the chicken crackers which came with vinegar and it served as our appetizer. The chicken servings were big enough for me especially the rib keel part. I had the sunduo with a rib keel and drumstick while my wife for a 1-piece chicken. It was well cooked (no blood), tender, and juicy. Sunburst is one of my favorite fried chicken places of all time.
