Best meal I've had in Philippines so far! Only got a photo of the spring rolls (lumpia) because I ate everything straight away!
First time trying crispy pata, was really nice but too much for two people(I'd share that between 4 with other dishes) very rich and lots of crispy fat, so if you like that, it's the dish for you!
Tried the caramel flan, that was very nice too, add some calamansi, makes it pop.
Got a noodle dish too, was average, not bad, nothing amazing.
Standout for me was the roast chicken. I just ordered it to get some extra protein but was pleasantly surprised by a really nice smoky barbecue flavour!
Great place out of a lot of options on Ayala mall terrace.
We ordered a regular crispy pata, sinigang na bangus, and dinamita for lunch. My first try on the dinamita. It has more meat and less spicy. I made my own dip out of calamansi and soy sauce as I am not contented with the dip that comes with the dish. I finished 2 dinamitas. It was okay, great as starters. Sinigang na bangus was delicious. I am not a sinigang lover but I love it. It wasn't too sour and the fish is firm and boneless.
Their ube halo halo is loveeee. For only 109 pesos, they give you a huge glass bowl filled with halo halo goodness. You should not miss this if you’re eating here. 4 star for their delicious food, everything I have tried were delicious by far, their sinigang and crispy pata 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 downside is service, its always a struggling catching the attention of their servers 😪

Kuya J is one of the restaurants where you can enjoy Filipino dishes at a reasonable price. The fact that it’s owned by my forever crush, Jericho Rosales, makes me want to visit it everytime. The food is so good, you can order a lot of viands and pay less than 1k for 4 people already. Plus they serve desserts that will blow your mind. I really love their halo-halo! It’s a must try! The ambiance will also give you a “feel at home” feeling. I love that they placed books within your reach so you can read while waiting for your food to be served. Customer service is also five star. I reccomment visiting this branch.
A very cozy place to eat, food is great. Orders are taking a long time to be serve but its tolerable. I've tasted lots of Halo-halo but theirs is quite unique with the flavory shaved ice.

Classic Filipino dishes with an authentic Cebuano twist. Love the family style serving and it's fast. Price points are very affordable and service is great
Waiting time is a bit longer than what I expected. Although food is good but customer service should also be great as well in terms of providing time. If you look at the halo-halo picture in the Menu it's mouth watering but the actual taste doesn't define it.
Their prices might be on the high side (mostly) but the service and taste is great. Ordered a lot but what I really like here is the sinigang na baboy, crispy pata, and the binagoongan rice. Even the desserts are worth a try and will not disappoint. Highly recommend this place. (BTW only took 2 photos of the desserts we had because the entrees in the beginning are that good our stomach can't wait)
Been here for several times.. Best for me is Pork Binagoongan and Kare-kare mix with bagoong perfect match with plain rice.. Dessert? Choose their Halo-Halo its unique and delicious. Must try.
Crispy pata (see photo below) , sinuglaw (fish sashimi mixed with griiled pork), fried chicken, mongos (see the photo below).. These are only some of the many Filipino dishes at Kuya J's restaurant. If you want a taste of authentic Filipino food, i highly recommend this place. They are located at the terraces of the Ayala center Cebu. Be ready to wait in line because a lot of people are going to this place especially at dinner time. Crispy pata is one of their best sellers and its definitely a must try!
