Grand Palace Hotel & Restaurant

The Butuan Grand Palace Hotel and Restaurant is an excellent venue for an overnight stay or a long-stay holiday for one or even for the whole family. It caters for conventions as well as parties. While I was there, there was a birthday party for an octogenarian. While this party was going on, there was a buffet dinner in the restaurant with an acoustic band. The band played mellow but modern pop music and even took requests. We were in the swimming pool area, where there was also a barbeque buffet being served. There were many guests - some of whom had booked a table for their particular celebration. We witnessed another birthday celebration here. All the tables were filled and the food was in endless supply. As for the food - exquisite. We got to enjoy lunch a la carte and the dishes we ordered were flavoursome and extremely tasty. We also enjoyed the breakfast which catered to every taste. As for the room we stayed in, it had a beautiful view of the mountains from our window. The beds were very comfortable - there was a huge double bed and a huge single bed. Guests were provided will slippers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, earbuds, emery boards, shampoo and lotion. And when I requested for a hair dryer, it was supplied immediately. I have nothing but admiration for the staff who went out of their way to please. We asked for extra towels and they were delivered. They were courteous, friendly and always smiling. This included the staff I encountered at the reception, around the hotel, at the restaurant, at the swimming pool and buffet as well as the guards at the front of the hotel. I loved my stay at the Butuan Grand Palace Hotel - might do it again sometime. Fantastic place! :)
