It was so difficult to find parking but in a way it was worth it. Tapas were great! Drinks were also delicious. Good quality Spanish tapas. Great place to chill on weekends but gets crowded. You can dress casually and just chill. Very attentive service and the owner/manager has a genuine interest in the wellbeing of their guests. Aircon was also amole considering it can be crowded. A bit noisy because of the small space but just the same i had a few good nights here.
The food here is tasty. Most of the pintxos here taste good. The bacalao is the best (I eat up to three in a seating). The salmon is too sweet but not horrible. The salpicao and gambas are the best. The salpicao is soft and the gambas are tasty. They also have really good croquetas. The fried eggplant chips (always forget what these are called) are surprisingly tasty, sweet but with a hint of paprika (?). The only dish not up to par would be the beef cheeks. The staff are attentive and prompt. They agreed to serve us food even when seated on the restaurant beside (which we ordered food from as well) as a customer didn’t want us beside them because we had a dog.
Bar Pintxos is probably one of the most value for money Spanish resto in the metro. They offer a wide array of pintxos and tapas options best paired with beer or wine. It’s also probably the only resto in BGC with free parking.
Good service, good food. Value for money especially with Zomato Gold! Order their shortribs, it isn't on the menu but it's good 💯 Will definitely come back
Everything was fantastic...
Bar Pinxtos is soooooo good! But be ready to pay! And make sure you reserve seats!!! I don’t drink so I can’t comment on the drinks but do check it out. The sangria looks good!
How do you like your beer? Sweet and malty or dark and hoppy? Room temp or ice cold? I remember back in college, my orgmates would get pissed drunk over beer during our parties. Sculling bottle after bottle of below zero beers. But through the years, I came to realize that there is more to beer than just sculling its bitter taste. Beer, as an alcohol, symbolizes celebrating good times, social bonds, and friendships. That, and I like my beer strong, hoppy, and aromatic. Just like the scandalous ¡De Puta Madre Reposado! I had at the 6th Anniversary Party of Crows Craft Brewery at Bar Pintxos Tapas Y Mas BGC. Check out what you missed!
The food is excellent, exactly the same quality as the food served in another branch which I have tried in Makati. Fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. Though I find the food to be on the pricey side given the small servings. But with Zomato Gold, perfectly OK to dine here.😊
2019 top 20 restaurants list by Philippine Tatler
Shortplate with chimichurri and Romesco, rabo de Toro (oxtail stew), gambas al Ajillo (prawns, garlic, chili), croquettas de jamon serrano.
Shortplate good and tender, i liked the chimichurri sauce, unfortunately the romesco not so much, it lacked the essential nutty flavor. The oxtail stew was good, tender and has good flavor. The gambas was a let down. Prawns were overcooked, and should have had more garlic in it; the ciabatta bread that comes with it was good though. The croquettas were good, surprised they actually used pure bechamel and did not fake it with potatoes lol. Overall, good tapas bar.
Our go to place for girls afternoon cocktails. Love the Gin selection as well as their tapas. Make sure to reserve especially on thur, fri and sat.
Hands down, this is our favorite tapas place. We always order the same three things (ternera, salmon, berenjenas) paired with a G&T. They have a really nice selection of gins and the bartender has a really good understanding of what garnishes pair well with them. Definitely worth the price for a well-deserved night cap.
That was some of the best salpicao I've had in my life. Also the first time I've had pulpo in Manila that came close to the pulpo I had in Spain. It was altogether a super nice experience especially with Zomato Gold.
Food is beyond great! This is probably why Tatler placed Bar Pintxos at the top spot for its 2019 Top 20 Restaurants!
FOOD: 5/5
We obviously loved everything that we ordered but our all-time fave would be the Burrata! Honestly, it's the best one I've had in Manila!
PRO-TIP: Do your homework and research about their secret menu items!!! ;)
AMBIANCE: 4/5
The branch in BGC has a neighborhood bar feels that is quite cozy and home-y. Do yourself a favor and order their Sangria, coupled with the vibe of the place, it's perfect for your laid back Saturday night plans.
SERVICE: 5/5
Service is top-notch! Servers were cordial enough to transfer us to a proper table (cause I got seats at the bar stools due to my late reservation, haha). Big props to everyone in the team!
Great place for wining and dining with friends. 👌
Food was great! Wide selection of drinks. Nice set of music played in the background. Ample parking. Its all the perect ingredients for a wonderful night!
probably the best tapas place in the country. very creative and the food is well made and well thought of. wine list is pretty decent as well, which is really a gem in this country. the only downside is that this place get crowded really fast, but hey, that's because they are that good. not cheap but you get your money's worth. rating is more like 4.5 but zomato does not do half stars.
Tapas bars somehow attract a lively ambiance and you feel happy to be in such bars. Bar Pintxos Tapas Y Mas is no exception - a fantastic place to meet friends, eat & drink!
Our Pintxos were Gildas, Escalivida and Chorizo. All were excellent, especially the Chorizo with chorizo, eggplant, mushroom and cream. Our tapa was Gambas Al Ajillo which was very tasty! Our entree was Paella Mixta which was ok
We had glasses of Rioja La Vendimia and Red Sangria.
Our dessert was Torrijas - a Spanish bread pudding.
Bar Pintxos is a quaint nook neatly tucked behind the Fairways tower in BGC. I’ve never actually seen it so I’m so glad my friend took me here for dinner. They serve authentic pintxos and tapas—these are Spanish light dishes you usually order a variety of in one sitting, best enjoyed over beer/sangria. Being a fan of Spanish cuisine, I personally loved their food! The quality and combination of ingredients used were impeccable. We ordered (and I personally recommend these) the lamb paella, gambas, bacalao, pintxos jamon serrano, platter of jamon serrano and cheese. They were all great except for the Manchego cheese platter that I found a bit dry. But overall great experience, ambiance was a plus too!
good place to get together with friends. small servings of tapa that goes well with drinks and wine. ill probably have a date here or go here with a group of friends for drinks. I will not go here if im hungry. its more of a weekend drinks place vibe.
Probably the most value-for-money tapas/spanish resto I have been into. I’m a steak guy and I really liked their Bistec (Steak with fries) and their Butifarra (Grilled Sausage with Beans). Their Sangria and Canonigo is pretty ordinary though.
I LOOOOVE Bar Pintxos! One of my faves because of food and service. My go-tos are the foie, bacalao, gildas, entrecot, pulpo ala gallega and the huevos estrellados. Always have a great dining experience here and in the Salcedo branch. If you're lucky, they might have some off menu items and even items they're still testing out to try for free. 😉
Had a special date here and the ambiance was so apt — it’s lively, but intimate. We didn’t get to sit on a proper table so we were by the bar, which is also pretty cool because I get closer access to the alcohol 😂 (ehem, sangria, which is pretty good!). Everything they served was really good (ordered 2 pintxos - gulas and salmon - and a tapas platter - I think it’s the Croquetas de Jamon), but the true star of the nice was the platter of Jamon Iberico 😭😭😭 will definitely go back here for special things ❤️
If you don’t want to run into your annoying co-worker after office hours, Bar Pintxos is the place to go. It’s a great place for afternoon.. well, pintxos and wine.
Loved how they cook the meat (very-well!) and how flavors complement each other on the dishes I’ve tried.

We went on an odd/ off peak hour on a weekday so we could park without hassle and get seats immediately because I’ve heard that they are always packed. Very much enjoyed the food, pricey but good and delicious. Not somewhere you would go to though if you’re very hungry and on a budget. The pintxos are priced and served per piece and servings of other dishes are just as small. But again let me reiterate that they are delicious. My favorites are foie gras (of course), fried pig ears, jamon aioli, gambas, smoked salmon, and fried eggplant chips. Definitely the place to go to if you are craving for pintxos, tapas and some beer.
Good ambiance, friendly waiters and good location. And their pintxos is a must-try!Although you have to make early reservations on the weekend since they’re always booked.
EVERYTHING THAT CAME OUT OF THE KITCHEN WAS A PIECE OF HEAVEN. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the service staff were all angels. I would go back here again for sure!!!
Must order: Pulpo and the Pan con tomate, it brought me back to Spain.
Thank you for the experience.
Small place in BGC but my goodness, this restaurant offers the best authentic spanish tapas in the neighborhood 👍 The one with the wagyu is our favorite but all the others taste so good too. Pair them with your sangria and everyday can feel like it’s the weekend.
Excellente! The food was delish, and surprisingly huge servings. Each bite of the tapas was so worth it, that one would only need to eat a few pieces to feel completely satisfied. The jamon serrano and salami was so good I had to spread the filling to another crusty bread. The steak too was really yum, it was kinda well done but not dry. I just have to say the fries could do a little bit more love, as it was dry inside and out. I would love to come back and bring friends, and perhaps taste their wine selection too.
An awesome place for a unique food experience. We went on a wednesday night, so it wasn’t that crowded. Easy enough to find, however the google map pin is in a different building.
On to the food. The serving times were fairly quick, for appetizers, the Salmon pintxos and the one with baby eels were surprisingly good. For specials, the Calamari and the beef cheecks are my go to. The beef cheeks are just so tender and savory while the squid was fried enough to get the rubbery texture out, resulting in a crispy exterior without the chewey meat inside.
Overall, a unique dining experience, especially with the pintxos, and you can pair them with craft beers to complete the meal.
Goood food and quick service! We got the pintxos, their sandwich, and baby squid and they were all 👌🏻. Nice place to go to when craving for Spanish food. I feel like there's nothing special about the place though.
I love the restaurant. I’ve eaten here multiple times - for celebrations, dates or whenever I just feel like having a good meal. The restaurant has good ambiance with even greater food. It may seem a bit pricey to some people however personally, it is worth every cent. I highly recommend the Tapas. It’s goodness in every bite. I’m literally just salivating as I type this review. #yum For a very picky eater who enjoys criticizing food, I highly recommend this restaurant.
Thank god this place replaced Malcolm's!!! I feel so bad that we left Fairways when this hole in the wall, popped up. The ambiance is nice which would be better with good music (even Spanish inspired if possible). My favorites are the Calamares with really rich authentic mayo dip, Gulas Al Ajillo (the eel!!!) and the Paella Mixta, of course. Between this or Tomatito, I would definitely go for Pintxos. Their tapas are to die for with affordable but good wine selection!
A good friend is in town so I suggested this place since we are fans of the Alabang branch. As usual, it delivered and we all loved the food and drinks! Like their other branches, it is quite a challenge to find, but their suggested parking in the BGC branch is creepy (at the Fort Victoria condominium), especially at night. We ordered the butifara, jamon iberico, ternera, and patatas bravas, among others. We were 4 girls, one is breastfeeding, but I think we over ordered because everything is SO GOOD.
I initially had misgivings when I heard that we'll have dinner here during one of my quick catch-ups w/ ex-officemates. I have a huge appetite & I'm used to 'bitay food' when I eat out. How in the world will I be full w/ just #tapas (appetizers/snack-sized dishes) & #pintxos (sliced bread w/ toppings)??
Surprisingly, I did. And at a reasonable price, too.
We ordered the ff:
- Queso Manchego: I'm not really fond of cheese (I especially hate blue cheese or anything stinky), but this one I can take. Served w/ olives.
- Jamon Serrano: One of only few cold cuts that my stomach agrees w/.
- Chorizo Frito Picante: Spicy, but not quite. Very addicting. I want to order plain rice, scoop the oil over the rice & eat this as ulam. We had 2 orders of this.
- Tortilla Patatas Chorizo: Served w/ bruschetta. Very filling as this is like a thick pancake made primarily of potato w/ a hint of chorizo.
- Paella Mixta: W/ chicken, shrimp & chorizo. This is one of my fave dishes. I didn't notice the aioli on the side, but the dish is already full-flavored even w/o it. Would have been better if there's socarrat or that thin crust on the bottom, though. We wanted another order of this, but it was already sold out.
- Paella Cordero: W/ lamb & mushroom. This is also good but I liked the Paella Mixta more. For the slightly lamb-averse, this is ok to order as there's no gamey flavor.
- Salpicao: Another fave. Super tender & so flavorful. Generously topped w/ fried garlic bits. A bit pricey at over P400 for a small dish, but this is so, so worth it!
We were given complimentary bread slices & you can have it refilled upon request. There's no accompanying dip but you can ask for olive oil. We had 2 basket refills; I think this is why I was full when we finished our meal.
Aside from the food, what's also good about dining here is there's this ambiance conducive to conversations, w/o servers hovering over us & there's no pressure to finish our meal quickly.
On the downside, parking on a fri night is a minor nightmare since it shared parking space with a couple of restos in the bldg.
Will I be back? Definitely!
very good Spanish food giving you the authentic experience. Be ready to spend 1k+ per person though, theres no such a thing as pint of beer for 80 peso lol, recommend to order many small tapas, ask waiter for recommendation.
I’ve tried pintxos in Spain’s Basque Country, and the ones here are not bad! Portions are decent, and the ingredients are of top quality. Tried the ham, foie Gras, and bacalhau pintxos (pictured). My only comment is, it can be quite salty, but in general the flavors are good and the price point is understandable given the ingredients.
They serve good gin and tonics too!
Atmosphere is a little boring.
What's not to love about this place? Great food, attentive service, and lots of booze. For the pintxos, I recommend the jamon-alioli, salmon-honey-caviar, ternera, uni-boquerones, and the creamy bacalao. But, really, you can't go wrong with the pintxos- there's something for everyone. For a special occasion, their chuleton with either some patatas bravas or paella will not disappoint. Their sangria is probably the best in the city, and their extensive gin selection is reasonably priced.
This place was recommended to me by a friend. For starters we got some booze. We tried the sangria and the de puta madre (their in house tap beer). Last few weeks have been tough. Got some pintxos! Salmon-goat cheese-truffle honey-caviar; jamon-allioli jamon serrano allioli; boquerones ubj with caviar; foie-seared foie gras-apple compote-PX reduction. Damnit all of them were good. For tapas, we calamares a la plancha seared baby squid. I liked that one too. Para picar- aceitunas alinadas marinated olives. Well, olives are olives. We also got some beef cheeks. The tender slices of beef were laid down on top of the mashed potato. I liked it. I highly recommend this place. Check it out. Thank you, you know who you are.
Great place to have tapas even though it's slightly hidden. Plates are reasonable portions for tapas and prices are ok. We had salpacio beef, gambas, tortilla, and paella as well as croquettes all very good washed down with a San mig light or two.
Really awesome! Five Stars? Not enough! Six for me! Best for food and craft beer pairing too! I will be back again soon. Very friendly staff.
Really good tapas! My favorite had to be the jamon with aioli. The patatas bravas was good too mostly because we enjoyed the dip. Sadly the paella wasn't available during our visit but we'll be back to try it plus more tapas.
Really enjoyed my time here. The pinxtos we ordered wasn't part of the menu but it's basically ternera, pork and another meat with foie. Decadent and rich. Every tapas we ordered we really enjoyed from gambas to salpicao to patatas. Also got to try their ale like de puta madre. It has a bitter note and not as dark as I expected it to be but good anyway. Will definitely go back!
