Interesting list of craft beers. It’s a cozy place to hang out for that before/after dinner drinks or just simple catch ups with friends. Bartender were courteous and would readily recommend the best beer to suit our taste. Definitely hanging out here again soon.

Chill place to hang out and enjoy beer in Burgos Circle. Their selection of craft beers is quite varied and interesting. There are two limitations though, the space and the food menu. Our table had to order the same sausage platter twice not simply because we can't get enough of it but more because it was the only menu item that sounded and looked palatable to us at that time. It was also good though and can be considered as value for money. I'm not sure if this is still going on, but they usually have a buy 1 take 1 beer promo every Thursday.

Very accommodating staff. You can taste first their beer options before ordering a pint. They also have 4 different glasses to choose from.

Ordered number 5 and number 11!

Fun place to try out different kinds of beer and expand your palate from the usual local beer selection. They have samplers, if you dont want to commit to a pint yet.

Nice place to try different kind of drinks! Fun place to be with your family or friends and laugh the night away!

They have a wide selection depending on your taste!

I love No.4!

Rest rooms are not that accessible.

Draft beer on its finest. The place is actually unnoticeable specially it is behind the infamous Tipsy Pig but this place has a lot of flavors to offer. A mug of flavored beer from their wide range of selection is priced reasonable as compared to other bars in Burgos Circle. Berry Red is my favorite. Their staff will carefully walk you through their selection, based on your mood, your preferred taste and your tolerance. You can even have a free taste.
Food: 4/5
Ambiance:3.5/5
Value for money: 4/5

The Berry Ale tastes like wine, and I loved it. Apart from that the menu is pricey (I can’t lower the rating just because of the price, considering the location of the business), the fries is so-so. But the chicken wings, garlic and onions are full of flavor. I even took home the onions and garlic that we were not able to consume. Also, one of the nation’s leading loveteams were beside our table. I was able to fangirl (paparazzi mode on).

After our dinner in The Hungry Hound, my best friend decided to bring us to Tap Station for some booze.

We were welcomed by a lot of people in a small place during a Friday night. Good thing the servers were able to help us look for a place to sit.

It was our first time in Tap Station and we got surprised to find out they actually have 25 craft beers aligned. What I love about their servers is that they thoroughly explained to us how to order their craft beers. You have to choose a certain craft beer on the list then they will let you pick what kind of glass you would want to drink it in. Here are the ff. craft beers we ordered:

4. Manila Hipster (4.8%) – this is not my type. It tastes like dalandan that goes wrong.

7. Kriek Fruit Ale (3.0%) – this tastes like a cocktail drink. This is perfect for those people who want to have a beer but is more a cocktail drinker.

16. Oktoberfest (6%) – one of my favorite craft beers because it tastes like Red Horse.

21. Delirium (8.5%) – also one of my favorites because it reminds me of Cerveza Negra.

23. Procrastination (5%) – it tastes like San Mig Light na hindi na sya malamig.

We also ordered Pastrami and Port Salut Plank (645php). Our favorite was the cheese. We kept on eating the cheese and I wanted to order another cheese while drinking beer.

I am definitely going back to try the other selection of craft beers. If you want to join me, lemme know and let’s go there soon!

It's such a small place, with so much craft beer to offer!
It's my go to place when ( I have a budget) in need to satisfy some crafty beer cravings!
Please, DON'T EVER COME HERE AND LOOK FOR SML LIGHT! First know what you you are getting into!
My favorite is the Pearl of the Orient and the 3 numbers up before that lol😂! Too tipsy to remember!
Php 500-600 for two glasses and a couple of free shot glasses for tasting.
MUST TRY!

Servers were nice enough to help me order, and I appreciated that. They asked me what beer I like, I said "Stella Artois", and they recommended this one for me. Forgot what it was called but it was the third on the list. It actually did resemble a Stella in taste and heaviness, and I appreciated that.

Expensive though, since a beer is around 250+.

We got no. 17. Because no. 21, 20, 19 and 18 (we asked in that order) had run out. Parang sa pag-ibig. Kung wala talaga, eh di move on to the next. Di kailangan magmukmok. Basta nasa puso mo si Christ, you'll be fine. Sobrang masaya naman kami sa napili namin. Pilit na #hugot. 😆

Since they only offer beer (they don't hand out menus, you choose from the huge blackboard at the bar), you have to order food next door. We had truffle pasta and pepperoni pizza from Frank and Dean. #frankanddean

The place is cozy and has an urban bistro feel (distressed wood panels, polished cement flooring, unconcealed piping). Don't expect to get drunk though, unless you bring lots of cash. Bring friends and stories, instead. #maibalang

Here's a reply to a friend who asked me about the beer: Wow, hirap naman ng tanong. Pwede bang "masarap" na lang sagot ko? Hahaha. I'm not a beer person. Pwedeng ramen na lang? Hahaha. Pero sige. Of course, it's not watery like San Mig but it's not too heavy on the palate either. It's quite sweet, to be honest. Not sweet in a pinoy kind of way like softdrinks. It's like burnt caramel at first sip and it becomes malty in your mouth. When left at room temperature, the sweetness softens but the bitter taste is still agreeable as compared to warm red horse. Toasty, I guess is also a good word to describe it. So there's no issue if you are penniless and you can buy only one mug and you sip through it for an entire hour. That's what i did. Haha. Sorry for the San Mig and Red Horse references. Next time I try imported beers, I'll take notes so I'll have more sosyal references. A friend told me there's a branch in Malate. And they're selling everything at half the price! 😆

Ordered a fancy pastrami plank. I'd give this dish a 4.5 of 5 because of how interesting each of the pieces were - the pastrami had coarse ground black pepper, the cheese tasted like it had a hint of butter, and we learned that it's delightful to eat apples while drinking beer. The only downfall was that the bread was too tough.

I also tried 5 kinds of beer, none of them I particularly liked (cannot remember the names). However, this might be the very reason i'd be back at Tap Station. Gotta find the right beer for me. 😉

We spent around 2,500 for 10 beers and this plank. Not bad, in my opinion.

This place is simple and straightforward. We went here for my friends bday and the waiters even sang with us when we brought the cake. The staff needs some more smiling and training - giving suggestions on what is good and which beer to try. The style of the bar is really nice. You just want to have a beer? You go here. Period.

Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to visit two craft beer places in BGC. Tap Station and the Bottle Shop.

Tap Station is a cool beer bar in BGC serving a variety of craft beers. We tried Weihenstephaner Wheat Beer, Weihenstephaner Vitus Bock, Heverlee Belgian Beer, Black Bitch and Hard Day. The last two are brewed in PH. With my further experience the next day, I'd say my preference is for pale ale kind of beer with low bitterness. My partner prefers wheat beer which she likens to the 'Hoegaarden taste'.

Also this is one the few places where you can get Peanuts with your beer, good spicy peanuts for Php 95. We also ordered the Pastrami board with Port Salut cheese and an apple! Quite a unique dishes with your beer

This place made me feel to be proudly Filipino.
They offer 25 uniquely homemade draft/tap beers displayed at the bar. Most of the craft beers offered are localy brewed and only few are imported. Their brewery is just located in Tagaytay.

We ordered
#3 Therapist Porter (5.8%): a dark beer that tasted like coffee. A liitle bitter, malty but perfectly brewed.

#6 Black Bitch Stout (4.8%) : another dark beer named after a black greyhound from a Scottish town called Linlithgow. Lighter tasting than #3, this is one of their best sellers. It has a refreshing start and slightly bitter-sweet ending. This one is a must try if you like dark beer.

#21 Weihenstephaner (7.7%) : can't even pronounce this one
If your cutting down on carbs and cash, order this one since it would bring you the buzz without much of the bloat at an alcholol level of 7.7%.

If its your first time here, I suggest to order the Beer Flight. You can pick 6 kinds of tap beer from the menu served in 6 small glasses (check
out pic) this gives you the chance to choose your next weapon.

Price range: Php 175-295: a bit expensive but the market calls for it since only a few places in Metro Manila offer a unique -wide -range tap beers. Well, there is definitely a demand for it.

Amazing, small, cozy bar tucked in one corner of Forbestown. A cool fact about this place apart from their beer is that it's "outdoor", yet it's well ventilated. You don't have to sweat under Manila heat while enjoying your beer. They have a vast and wide selection of tap. But since I'm not really a beer drinker, I had to ask for a "female beer", and they suggested the Manila hipster. It's a fruit ale with 4.8% alcohol. It had a tinge of dalandan flavor, which was actually good. Another unique thing in Tap station is they would let you pick your glass. There were four types - a beer mug, wine glass, a mason jar, and a fat flute. Of course I had to go for the wine glass 😊 One glass of beer is worth 195PHP, not bad for a place to hang out and chill. Would definitely recommend 👍🏼
