Toast Box is closing on May 31, 2018 and as a last hurrah i set aside plans to visit yesterday after an Event at Burgos Circle. Adjacent to the BGC Stopover, Toast Box at Bonifacio Technology Center has a very prime location, Street level and within walking Distance to St Lukes Hospital and the Offices nearby. Ordered a Kaya Toast Set, Cheesy Ham Toast Set and A luncheon Meat Noodles. Consistent taste, price is friendly on the pocket. Service is friendly. Sadly the place exudes that impending closure feel. The interiors unkempt, temperature was warm, air conditioning is probably not working. Will probably visit another branch before the end of the month.
We come here for breakfast once in awhile, especially when we want a no-fuss breakfast. We always order the soft boiled egg with whatever we decide on eating here. We like that this is not inside a mall.
This one is quite near our office so at times when we want to lunch out, this is one of our options. I usually have their laksa, it's quite good and serving is big. Their milk tea is also a stand out and I recommend you to try these.
Ordered the best-selling Kaya Toast + Iced Coffee combo during my first visit. I was pleased with the taste of both the toast and coffee. Managed to finish the over-soft boiled eggs -- something I'm not used to.
Went here at breakfast time. Tried the luncheon meat noodles, laksa, peanut butter thick toast set, and floss thick toast set. i like that you have to pour in a little sauce (?) dunno what it's called but it's black and malasado egg and then dip the toast into it. so unique. The coffee looks like a hot chocolate but it was okay. it was creamy. I liked the tea more, though. will definitely come back to this place.
Breakfast is for Kaya Toast Spread and a strong cup of coffee. When you order this set meal, it comes with two loafs of bread with butter and coconut jam at the center. The bread itself is delicious, and in perfect harmony with the jam. It also comes with 2 pcs of soft boiled egg.
How to eat the soft boiled egg in toastbox:
Add a bit of salt, pepper, and soy sauce. This adds dimension to the already delicious egg.
Toast box serves strong nanyang coffee.
This branch is very accessible to my work so I find myself here every-time I crave for the delicious kaya toast spread.
Typical silog meals at not-so-typical prices. Service was quite slow and inefficient. We had to ask for another person just to punch in the floss bread we ordered. For some reason, the breads and the meals were on two different cash registers. The breads are must-try though.

Mostly after work I scan areas where I can stay, have coffee and relax a bit before I head home...I was eyeing to try the how the coffee tastes here in Toast Box BGC...
The food I ordered definitely satisfied my hunger and taste...💐 I love the Kopi ☕🍵. T'was in a small cup but was great. And the cheese on my ham and bread. So crunchy and yummy.
Just with the crew...they were not that courteous. The guy who took my order was a bit aggressive., did not even care to ask if it was my first time in toast box...AS IT WAS MY FIRST TIME that day...They could have offered what is the specialty in the menu... Management should at least orient a bit the crew you hire. Customers dont go back just for the food or item you have for sale but it also counts the ambience, cleanliness and the servers...😊
Good thing I love as well is that they have.my favorite bread - Breadtalk...
This franchise never disappoints. Occasionally, I would try to order different food choices, but my personal favorite is their toast with pork floss served with eggs. It'a filling and tastes delicious. I've tried this in Hong Kong and I'm impressed they manage to keep prices and quality nearly the same with what they have here in Manila. Hungry!
If you're looking for laksa or your taste buds want some southeast asian food.. you should come and eat here! Gosh their laksa is so yummy! Also it is a different flavor from the resto around bgc. Did you know that there's also bread talk inside it? yes if you're working near Toast box, you can buy bread talk there!
Food: Very good
Service: Good (since it is self service)
Price: Very good
Serving: Very Good
Ambiance: very good
Overall: Very good
I can be a regular customer here! Must try! 😊👍
Cute place, the ambiance is very light and airy. I ordered a light ham sandwich and a glass of cold iced tea. I enjoyed it while looking out the window and enjoying the scenery outside.
A visit to Toast Box is not complete without ordering their Hainanese Chicken meal. It's a very simple meal - chicken quarter steamed with some ginger, spring onions and salt. No drama at all. It's tender, tasty and healthy. I like the colorful sidings that go with it - chili, more ginger and some sweet soy based sauce. They add character to the simple meal.
Laksa--
When it was served, I was hesitant to eat it because of how lovely the dish looked like! Bright color of reddish-orange soup, topped with shrimps, boiled egg, tofu, bean sprouts, slices of squid balls and some greens. Even without tasting it, the spiciness it it was evident.
The soup was rich in flavors with the strong kick of gata or coconut milk. It went really well with spicy broth, making the flavor a little milder and delicate. Then the glass noodles were cooked just right - not too soft and not too hard. The let down were the pieces of shrimps. When served, they looked so plump and all. But when you take a bite, what you thought were three pieces of medium sized shrimps were actually just halves so you're just getting 1 1/2 😱
I enjoyed the sandwich and the tea.
The sandwich I ordered is tuna. It is very yummy. Bread is thickly sliced so you can be full just by eating it's combo. The tea tasted like hot milk tea. I like it too!
My favorite Breakfast place every Friday. I love their coffee with condensed milk. The smell of the resto reminds me of singapore.........:)
My bestfriend is a singaporean and he lives nearby so we tried the resto. He loves his nasi lemak and the hainanese chicken though he always say hawker foods are the best yeah i must admit. But yeah nothin special with the food i also ordered the peanut toast with coffee i like it though ill just come back here if my best will treat me heheh
Good spot for Malaysian tea and kopi. The toast sets are good value and tasty however the main Malaysian meals are just average and not very authentic. Best dish is the Hainanese Chicken. Service has always been nice and friendly!
Place is cozy. Food is affordable. Serving is also generous. We sometimes go here for victory group meetings and staff are accommodating in allowing us to stay more than an hour or so.
A friend treated me to Toast Box in one of our get-together dinners. I ordered the basic Kaya Toast set, which includes kaya (jam made from coconut milk, eggs, sugar, and pandan) toast, 2 soft-boiled eggs, and your choice of kopi (coffee) or teh (tea). I went with the former, as I am a big coffee drinker. My toast was good, although not much can be done differently with this Singaporean snack aside from adding pepper and soy sauce to the soft-boiled eggs. I love dipping my toast in this mixture, as it adds that salty taste to the sweet, buttery flavor the bread already has. My coffee was good---not too strong and not to bland or watered down.
I also ordered Mee Siam or Thai noodles (vermicelli in sweet, spicy, and sour broth). It has prawns, Chinese chives, tofu, bean sprouts (togue), and boiled egg. This soup is delicious! I like the mix of different flavors and textures in my mouth.
This establishment can satisfy one’s craving for good Southeast Asian snacks and comfort food---from breads, soups, and rice dishes. I might say, though, that the prices are quite steep for the said kinds of food. Will I return? Absolutely not, if I will just get kaya toast, kopi, teh tarik (milk tea), or Hainanese chicken ---I’d rather get those at cheaper prices from other dining places.
Breakfast treat from my friends after a night out. It was my first time to eat here so I was kinda excited. Got some Hainanese chicken and it tasted great. But it wasn't mind blowing. If I were to pay for it, I don't think I would've gotten this dish then. XD

Hearty and healthy...😊 love their asian delights and their toast box sets...😉 will definitely come back to try other dishes in their menu...☺Paul Gallon
I loved their Kaya Toast Set! The waiter told me that it's Singapore's version of Coco jam and for me, it tastes like sweet red bean flavor. It is served with butter on one side of each of the two sandwiches, and the combination of it with the jam is sweety creamy tasty and has a bit of crunch beacuse of the toast. :D And I was surprised with the 2 eggs sidings - they seem to be half boiled? Or quarterly boiled? (If there's such haha) It's my first time to eat boiled eggs that way but it feels fulfilling upon slurping. I poured a little soy sauce on it for a little salty taste. And of course, the iced milk tea! (I chose iced instead of hot, even though I need to add 15 pesos). The serving is big and even though I'm already full, I just can't stop sipping because it's that yummy and refreshing, I wanted to take it out! I want to try the other toast sets next time. :D
The place at first sight is very charming, but once you entered the place you will see cracks where maintenance should come in. They have a friendly crew that makes staying in front of the counter enjoyable. Kaya Toast is always great, their drinks remains to taste authentic. I ordered Iced Kopi Melaka. It was so gooood! Try it when you visit any of their branches.
Luncheon meat noodles! Yummy. Only downside is how you smell after leaving the restaurant. Youd smell like mix of spices and a little bit of oil! Hope they have better exhaust.
I tend to forget that Toast Box has a bigger selection of snacks and short-order dishes compared to Kopi Roti, so I rarely go in. But I had a sudden craving for Horlicks and a toast set, so I went in.
My 12 oz. Horlicks was a nice nostalgic treat, served hot in a mason jar. I also ordered hazelnut toast a la carte. My thick, buttery slice of bread came sliced, warm and crunchy. Nice snack.
The interiors are tea-house pretty - white, dainty English style drawing room details (birds, cages, white frames) - but the gray tiled floor is grubby. The place could use a bit more cleaning.
It's co-located with Bread Talk, so you can shuttle between the two.
I have no photos because my phone died and I couldn't recharge!
If you're looking for something different, or a place to hang out with friends, then Toast Box may be the place to go to. Their kaya toast set tastes good, but the serving may not be enough for most people.
Toast Box is one of my favorite merienda places since they are the only ones who serve the perfect Kaya Toast!
Even if they originated from Singapore the Menu here in Manila is altered to fit the Filipino taste. One of my favorite is the Laksa, I recommend to share it with somebody and have it split into two since it taste so rich. The chicken curry was ok, I really like like sauce but very far from the quality of Singapore.
Besides the food, I really like hanging in Toast Box the feel of the place is so clean and chill.
I love Kaya Toasts! Esp a very cold butter in between two warm toasts with Kaya spread. Toast Box has fast and good service. The place is really nice as well were you can stay and hangout after office.
Toast Box here in the Philippines is quiet dirfferent from its originator in Singapore. I find it interesting that while Toast Box is pretty much a fast food outlet in SG, here its presented as a resto cafe. There are several welcome differences though which makes me prefer Toast Box here.
The menu is slightly different, with the addition of bigger rice meals and food tailored to Filipino tastes. While living in SG, I've learned quickly that if one was to eat at Toast Box, its only largely for breakfast and afternoon tea. Here, they have pretty good lunch offerings. Their Char Kway Teow and Hainanese Chicken Rice are notable changes, and are in my opinion, their best menu offerings. The food is very tasty and made to suit local preferences.
Another difference is the quality of toast that one gets when you order a toast set. The toast is of much better quality in SG and toasted perfectly along with the soft boiled eggs. Their sandwiches are very 'dry' as well with the filling to be sparse and falls short of satisfying.
However, if their is anything that is the same, it would be the drinks. Their kopi and teh are exactly the same, and I love their teh c - tea with condensed milk - and milo dinosaur.
Give Toast Box a try, with their spacious interior and quiet no nonsense service. Try having breakfast here with one of their toastbox sets for a more genuine Singaporean experience.
Craving for Kaya Toast and Tea Tarik? Oh well here it is, Bread Talk group brings Toast Box to satisfy your cravings. Must try: Milo Dinosaur.
