Good place, good steak. We visited here during weekends, surprisingly there’s no much diners. But the ambiance is really good and cozy. Cool resto for catching up with friends.
I have been going to this restaurant for a very long time and have always loved the food. The gamberi pizza, harami and salmon sashimi are of excellent quality and are very delicious. However, the food is quite expensive but the portions are reasonable.
Love the beef harami and the sukiyaki. I can eat them everyday! :) salmon sashimi is also a good choice for your appetizer.
The tempura is not that great.

I'm giving this 4 star for the service. If only I'm not in a hurry I would take my time and ask the server's name for commendation. She noticed that I was looking at the window reading menus, she went outside greeted me with a smile and asked how she can be of assistance. I always passed by this restaurant on my way to work and was curious with their Takoyaki. I love takoyaki. So I ordered one for take out and while waiting, the server offered me a glass of water which I find it very thoughtful. The takoyaki though was upsetting. the ginger was overpowering that I wasn't able to appreciate the other flavors. So sad. 😔
I used to frequent here during my lunch breaks when I used to work around the area. Food was tasty but not something I would travel for.
Service is the best. I love the staff. Always pleasant, attentive and polite.
Best Japanese grill restaurant. Slightly pricey but food taste and quality is good. Ambience and service are excellent. The set lunch during weekdays is value of money. We always go for the seafood grill platter that comes with fried rice. This item has been removed from their latest menu but the chef had obliged to our request and made it special for us. Will visit again!
Simple Japanese fare in Serendra. It was a rainy day and we were stuck in the area. Good thing we saw the menu board for their bento boxes. It was a good deal. Generous portions. I think this is an under rated Japanese restaurant. It serves good simple food at affordable prices. Comfort Japanese food.
At first I thought it was a really expensive Japanese place, but when I actually went and tried, it's not as expensive as I thought! (Although keep in mind that Japanese restaurants are really a bit pricey, so don't set your price expectations too low)
My mom and I tried their Bento meals. Mine was the Chicken Teriyaki Bento for 365 pesos and my Mom's was the Mogu Bento for 395. We also ordered the Crispy Salmon Skin Bento.
In general, the food's great! And the serving size is generous. To be honest I don't know why their rating here is 3.4. It feels like it should be a 3.8- 3.9.
Must try! :)
Very confusing if this restaurant is a fusion Japanese restaurant or not, it doesn't say so. Their table setting was very western though, I was thrown off the entire time I was in there. I can't stop thinking about how wrong it was.
Their Mixed Sushi ✔️ and Beef Curry ✔️ tastes really great, and its affordable. I'll definitely come back to try their Sukiyaki and Wagyu Burger. Two thumbs up for you, Mogu!
We ordered:
House Tea, Harami - I like the Harami it tasted like smoked steak, then the seafoodcurry -- that was flavorful and was good for sharing.
Although the food was a little expensive.
The service has to improve though.
One of the restaurants in BGC that has stood the test of time! I don’t know what it is about this city and the lack of Japanese restaurants. It truly baffles me.
Whenever I go to Mogu, I usually order from the basic dishes—ebi tempura, salmon sashimi, spicy kani maki, and chirashi. And that’s because Mogu is such a basic Japanese restaurant. It’s nothing spectacular, but it’s enough to satisfy your Japanese cravings at a reasonable price. ;)
The ambiance is very modern and has good natural lighting. We tried their Spicy Crispy Kani Maki and it was really good. Serving is enough for one person. I forgot the name of the salad I've tried but its similar to a Caesar Salad. Its too creamy for me.
Went here just to try it.
The Service was okay.
Food was Good.
Location was Accessible
Ordered Chicken Teppanyaki with Veggies.
Would go back to try the other Food Choices
I love the food here. They have great oysters and i really love their harami beef. This place is a must-try. The resto interiors are quite relaxing and casual too and the staff here is plenty friendly
Mogu is one of my favorite japanese resto in manila. I love their large japanese oysters, the tempura is cooked well, and their harami beef is a must order that's already good for 2.
Mogu means bite and shinsen means fresh. At Mogu, they make sure every bite is fresh - that is how much their name means to them, and thats is how much they want to mean to us.
Mogu Japanese Shinsen Bar and Grill is one of the best Japanese Restaurants i've eaten in. They have FRESH ingredients and good customer service. The place is always full, which means that you have to go there early or have to reserve. The ambiance is relaxing, the serving time is exceptionally fast, the food presentation is really good, and they have big servings, and everything we ate is really good! What more can you ask for?
Some of the things we ate there are:
Big Eye Tuna Sashimi P210
Spicy Crispy Kani (crab stick) Maki P265
Chef Seiji's Salad P405
Kani Salad Crab Stick on Greens P295
Mogu Ramen Soup P275
Rib Eye Tuna P410
Four Seasons P190
I think that the price here is very reasonable given those factors.
From A to Z and 1 to Infinity, i love Japanese Food.
