Genki Sushi is the best and my favorite Japanese restaurant because of its authentic Japanese food and the food train, its really amazing!! � I've had been in Genki Sushi Japan several times already, and the quality of food is exactly the same. No wonder alot of people are eating here especially the kids. ���
The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. They have an excellent customer service as well. The price is also reasonable.

Best sushi and maki in town, given the affordable price point! Very fast service and turnaround of food as well. And I love how the unli green tea matches everything. Although, the staff could be friendlier and more accustomed to Japanese culture (not much of a big deal though). Overall, this is not the fancy type of Japanese resto like those in Little Tokyo or in BGC Highstreet, but they have the best variety of sushi and maki that you'll crave for more!

Sushi's are good, including the tuna sashimi.
Ebi tempura is also ok, however the sauce lacks tastes, there's no ginger on it as well.
The Tuna crochet is too dry, even with the sauce it still lacks flavour.
I had a great time here. The sushi were very delicious, plus the staffs were very polite. I forgot the name of the second photo but its a must! We ordered more but forgot to take a picture of them because they look delicious.

This was not the first time we chose Genki Sushi to dine in but this is the second branch we knocked out for the ultimate #TheGenkiExperience at #TheGenkiSushiPh. So let me state ✌🏻 (2) things in this review “a must have” and “a must try”. Well definitely “a must have” in my order with so much ♥️ is HANA SUSHI (Rice, Japanese mayo, Salmon and Roe on top) coz its a wrap in one meal already 😉 and “a must try” was the GYUDON (Rice Meal - Japanese Beef Bowl). So far, everything is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ since this comes too with an unli hot green tea on the side and of course wasabi upon request.
My daughter is absolutely crazy for noodles. She is a big fan of Genki Sushi’s Udon. Its simple taste is perfect for kids because it does not overwhelm their taste buds. The ambience is perfect for kids, as well. Super convenient, all you have to do is select your order on an iPad beside your table, then wait for the conveyor train to deliver your order. I swear, everytime I bring my daughter here, no tantrums plus clean plates, or bowls. ;)
Minus one star because the last time we dined, it was so uncomfortably warm inside the restaurant.

Always happy and satisfied whenever we visit this resto. The way food serves you through a automatic cart moving on a rail is not new to me since I had encountered a lot of this kind in SG, but it's still a good way to attracy customers especially if there are kids. Love the taste of almost everything here and give you the right value for your money. Been coming here almost monthly and never encounter bad services.
First time to visit Genki Sushi in the Philippines, my first try was in Tokyo, Japan. The place was clean, very accomodating staffs, food was super yum!
Hands down my favourite sushi house in Manila. I've been going to this place for a year or two now and it never fails to amaze me and today I brought my sister with me and she loved everything I ordered for us. But she particularly loved the new pan fried salmon belly nigiri. It just melts in your mouth, I highly recommend it.
Been seeing this restaurant for quite some time in social media. Finally we were able to try their cute high-speed bullet train. Customer has to be very attentive as the train passing by fast that you could not afford to take a photo or video but you still have the chance to push the button which commands the train to return to it's starting point.
The food was worthy of it's price. Hana Sushi which is one of their best sellers is such a goodie and it comes in 4 pieces. If your Companion does not eat sushi and sashimi at all, you will never go wrong in ordering their rice meals. The Chicken Teriyaki is flavorful and has a soft meat. We'll try other type of sushi when we come back!

It’s not our first time here at Genki Sushi. We’ve always have our own preferences. I’d go for rice bowls, salad or maki, kids prefer chicken, tempura or gyudon, hubby for donburi. Of course I love the unlimited green tea!
Last time, I ordered something new in their menu. Chose Japanese Tuna Adobo but I’m not sure if hubby would like this as he’s not fond of mayo. So I picked Minced Seafood in case he’ll not eat the adobo. When the food arrived, we’re surprised to see it in a small serving hot plate. Bro said it’s too small. And when hubby arrived and saw the drizzled mayo, he immediately declined the adobo. But when I said, it’s delicious and gave him a spoonful, he definitely agreed with me! It’s Japanese mayo so it’s not that oily. He also got few bites again! The other dish Minced Seafood, it’s really good! The crunchiness and sauce, love it! They all agreed. For the serving portion, hubby and I agreed that if it came in bigger size, we’ll be eating too much.
Next time, we’ll try the other dishes. Keep us coming back for more!

My sister and I went here for a quick Japanese fix and also to try the train-delivered food which looks cool. ;) We went there just before dinner and was seated after 5 minutes. The area is well-lit and the ambiance is good as well.
We ordered Cheese Croquette, Kake Udon, Smoked Salmon Nigiri, Fried Salmon Cheese Roll and Seared Shrimp with Pollock Roe.
Cheese Croquette was really good. It was fried just right leaving the mashed potato soft and the cheese was of the right taste considering I'm not a huge fan of cheeses. I suggest you eat it last though because it will quickly fill you up.
Kake Udon was for my sister and I just had a few bite. The noodles were not soggy which was good. The soup was also fine though I find it bland compared to other Udons I've had.
Smoked Salmon was a no-no for me. I'm not a fan of raw, almost-raw food but I tried it just for the sake of knowing the taste. My sister liked it though so I guess it varies from tongue to tongue.
Seared Shrimp with Pollock Roe is a new taste for me. Its not your usual seared shrimp. This one is topped with Pollock roe which has a salty taste. It complimented the shrimp and gave it a new twist.
Last and definitely not the least is the Fried Salmon Cheese Roll. After having this, it already became a favorite. It is a fried maki that is not too oily. The cheese and salmon was a surprising combination but it didn't disappoint. It was so good we ordered for another round and another one for take out.
Overall experience was superb- from cool train deliveries to good food. I suggest you try Genki Sushi if you wanna try something new and if you want to add twist to your usual Japanese craving.

This not-so-greasy fried rice with my seafood favorites is delicious and really tasty (especially the chunky meats).
🐽 Minced Pork (Php250) – Mix of pork belly, wasabi mayo and white onions, topped with tanugi, leeks and lemon slices
Inspired by the Pinoy dish sisig, this new pork dish from Genki Sushi is super delicious and flavorful.
🍚 Yakimeshi Chahan (Php170) – Japanese fried rice with egg, meat and vegetables
Loved how this dish is so simple, making it a good pair with any cooked dish at Genki Sushi.
🍤 Minced Seafood (Php260) – Mix of salmon, tuna, shrimp, Sriracha mayo and white onions, topped with leeks, served with egg on the side
I liked the seafood chunks in their Gumoku Chahan so it’s not a surprise that this dish is another favorite. Because of the sriracha mayo, this dish is a little spicy. I have low tolerance for spicy food so I ended up eating a lot of this with a spoonful of fried rice.
🐟 Japanese Tuna Adobo (Php180) – Tuna adobo with donburi rice, topped with Japanese mayo, corn kernel, nori strips and leeks
The tuna tasted fresh and the Japanese mayo helped in bringing out more flavor of the tuna.
🍣 Kyuri Unagi Udon (Php160)
This new gunkan sushis obviously includes unagi. The meat on top had an overwhelming taste to it, but the cucumber balances out the overall taste.
Genki Sushi offers a different kind of dining experience. Instead of someone taking your orders, there is a special screen where you can select varieties of maki, sushi, sashimi and the like, then pressing the go button, the kitchen will receive your order, and in a while a small bullet train delivers your order. How cool is that. My personal favorite here is the Fried Salmon Cheese roll, and Hana sushi. Price is reasonable. Will I come back? Definitely.

Genki Sushi is just a dream. I have been aiming to dine into this cute restaurant for a while now but couldn't because they are always closed when I am awake.
From the entrance it is like coming into an anime store, not really a suhi restaurant. Menu is posted on each side of the table where the train of foods are also delivered. Almost everything is automated. It was a nice experience to feel as if you are in Japan.
All the food looks tempting. If we were not really thinking we have ordered too mich, we might have ordered everything on the menu.
When it comes to food, I am giving 4 stars. Food looks great, tastes fresh and really not like it was done by robots. 😅 The cost was leaning on the expensive side and more of like hyped. Tolerable but you must expect to shell out about 500 per head, including service charge.
Staff were very friendly and attended to our needs whenever we call for them.
Overall I am giving 4. If they will be lowering some of the cost of food by 20 percent, I would be giving a perfect 5. Good food must be available for all to experience.

This is our first time to dine in here, I must say that their crews are attentive and they taught us how to order. Love their foods. Per table you can have a diy matcha tea haha i enjoyed ordering and eating at the same time. The prices are justifiable naman with the taste of the food :)
How awesome to see those little bullet trains that deliver your freshly made sashimi and sushi? It's way too cool because Genki Sushi is known for it. Instead of having the traditional waiter who will take orders, you can just place them on the tablet and everything will be delivered right next to your table. In my experience, I super enjoyed it as this was something new to me!

NEW DISHES ALERT to be out on March 15 (Friday)!Last week I was invited to a PR event at Genki Sushi, SM Aura Premier branch to try their new collection of dishes with a truly Filipino twist:
- Yakimeshi Chahan (₱170)
Japanese fried rice with egg, meat and vegetables. This was like Chinese yang chow.
- Gumoku Chahan (₱190)
Japanese fried rice with egg and vegetables and topped with chunks of tuna, salmon and shrimp. This was the better fried rice to me. :)
- Kyuri Unagi Udon (₱160)
A well-balanced dish of rich, savory, salty and fresh elements. I liked this dish.
- Japanese Tuna Adobo (₱180)
Succulent tuna adobo with donburi rice and topped with with Japanese mayo, whole kernel corn, strips of nori and leeks. As a fan of adobo, I super liked this one! Never thought that the rich and sweet-ish Japanese mayo would go well with the already-savory adobo. But it worked splendidly here.
- Minced Pork (₱250)
A mixture of minced pork belly, wasabi mayo, white onions and topped with tanugi, leeks and a wedge of lemon. This was like our sisig, but it used pork belly instead of the usual pig head and lemon instead of kalamansi. This was level-up sisig where you could enjoy all the crunchy and savory goodness. The lemon provided the aroma and acidity, while the wasabi mayo brought the heat to this dish. I'd say this dish was well-balanced.
- Minced Seafood (₱250)
A mixture of minced salmon, tuna, shrimp, sriracha mayo, white onions, and topped with leeks and egg on the side. This was the favorite of the majority, and I liked it too. I like sriracha (or anything spicy or with heat) a lot so I enjoyed this dish as well.
***Aside from trying the new dishes, we also enjoyed their regular dishes and their best sellers. Among my favorites are Fried Salmon Cheese Roll, Seared Salmon with Black Pepper, Tuna Salad Gunkan, Hana Sushi, Green Tea Ice Cream and unlimited hot matcha drink!!!

Been going here with friends and family for a quick sushifix. It's our no-fuss default place for satisfying our craving when the need arises. Some of the food are great, some are okay. But it's generally good and I like the overall fast service and cute food train system. Slightly more expensive, but not too much...
Great value for money. Serves you the right serving for the price. Has fast service and great neat food delivery. Also the free matcha on the side is the bomb. Will definitely come back again.
Better than the usual conveyor belt sushi in the sense that you actually order what you want to eat, rather than just choose from what is served. Tried this tonight and ordered almost all items with salmon in it. Best for me were the Spicy Double Salmon maki (not in photo) and the Norwegian Fresh Salmon sushi. Yes, there are other authentic Japanese restaurants we frequent, but this one is good already for a quick fill! Enjoyed the complimentary green tea 🍵, the touchscreen ordering and the train delivery 🚄 !
This place is a hit! Lots of people come and go to have some of the fresh sushi that they can get. My fiancé and I have tried from the other branch - BGC Stopover, and decided to try from their SM Aura branch if there is a difference. The quality of their sushi is still the same - fresh and delicate! So fresh that you won’t even mind to order and eat repeatedly. For us, their Norwegian Fresh Salmon Sushi still hits the spot! Also, it is the first time we’ve tried the Genki Roll. It is sooooo good and a literal mouthful burst of flavor and texture.
Customer service is also nice. A staff offered us a wasabi paste right away, which their BGC Stopover branch did not. Maybe, we have to request it from them. So, that’s a plus for this branch.
Overall, it was a great experience!!!
The plus point for Genki Sushi are the high-tech way of ordering food through a tablet they provided and they deliver your food through little Japanese trains.
For the price range of each makimono around PHP 150 - 200, kinda expensive for me honestly. The thing about their serving on each makimono only consist 3 pieces 😂

We weren’t that lucky, we got seated nearest starting point of the train, we just appreciated how it zoomed past us when the orders of the other customers were delivered. We just went in for meryenda. I think the price is affordable considering that the dishes are heavy on the stomach. I really like their flying fish roe gunkan. It’s great that they have a wide variety of options to choose from. Next time I’ll try their rice and noodles. 👍🏻👍🏻
I’ve always been fascinated with their innovation. You get your orders via a tablet and in minutes your food arrives via an adorable speed train. This method not only cuts manpower costs, but it also encourages customers to order more!
In this visit, my friend and I had a light meal together. She had two kinds of Gunkan, a sushi wherein nori is wrapped around a fewer amount of rice. We enjoyed both the fresh Salmon Roe and Lobster Salad pieces. The Chicken Katsudon was as delightful, a bowl of thick deep-fried boneless chicken with lots of egg.
You know it's some good sushi when it arrives on a F1 racecar and a bullet train 😊 Genki Sushi let's you enjoy good and affordable sushi along with the child like anticipation of waiting for your food to arrive. The digital menu was easy to use and the staff were really attentive to your needs.
You guys gotta order their salmon! Thick, fatty and absolutely delicious. Their grilled salmon sushi puts new meaning on eating cooked sushi. It's absolutely oozing with distinct and smoky flavors which tingles your taste bombs. Don't be afraid to try their seared selections as the ones with black pepper toppings will definitely make you say "oh la la la" while the scrumptious flavor melts on your tongue.
I had rare cheesecake for dessert and I thought the it was a really buttery cheesecake worth trying if you are explorative of "rare" cheesecake flavors. Overall it's delicious and quite the experience to remember.

Fresh fish 🎣
I ordered Hana Sushi, Squid Taberu Layu and Plain Squid Sushis. They also have a buy 1 take 1 promo for their Kake Udon. I tried their Salmon Croquettes before and Garlic Butter Chicken Wings. Great addition to their menu. This restaurant is fun and engaging.
I love sushi and am so glad we have Genki sushi here in manila as they've been my instant favorite. Their sushi are really fresh and good quality although pricey. We've ordered some party platters for a houseparty last night. Assorted sushi's in each platter and all were fantastic. Highlights for me were the assorted type of salmon sushis and shrimp sushis. The salmon sashimis were great and fresh too. Such a comfort food :)
I was alone so I decided to explore.. It's so much fun having the simple conveyor belt from Japan come over to BGC. Nice concept and fast service is the first thing you'd notice here. The sushi is ok... not that fantastic but quite good overall. My fave was the Spicy Salmon Gunkan~ The miso soup tasted a bit off though although I can't determine why. I just wished that rather than the same old same old English pop music, they would play Japanese songs. Definitely a place I'd recommend just for the novelty of it
We had a quick lunch and meet up with my friend. We ordered the bento with breaded chicken and it was good for sharing. I love the concept of them having the sushi delivered via small train or plane, my daughter loved it.
I love this place so much because it doesn't need much human interaction (this place is good for introverts like me). You order on the ipad or whatever you call that and viola your order is set and on its way on a cute shinkansen train.

We tried Genki Sushi years back when they just opened in Bonifacio Stopover. I don’t remember having a good experience there because (maybe it was new then) we had to wait long as there was a queue and I think we were seated in a place that didn’t have a “train” - will explain later- or we didn’t have our “own” table but since it was packed and we were hungry, we just sat and ate hurriedly even, if I remember correctly, because there were lots of people waiting to be seated after us.
Our recent experience this week in the SM Aura branch was very different and in a good way. We ate on a weekday and non-peak hour. TIP: For best experience, don’t sit too close to where the “trains” come out so that the vehicle carrying your orders can travel longer. Please refer to photo attach to better understand. This recent experience of ours was more relaxing and the place was bright and clean. I had fun ordering through the mini tv screen and waiting for it to be delivered to our table by a long miniature race car. I can imagine kids would have lots of fun too. Don’t worry they have fried chicken, rice bowls, tempura and even fries if your kids don’t eat sushi.
We also enjoyed the food, the servings are small which can be a good thing so you can order more and taste more. In my opinion it’s an affordable place where you can get the aburi and other sushi variants plus it’s not intimadating like upscale Japanese restaurants (but please also don’t expect them to have the high end dishes like toro or uni).
Also enjoyed the complimentary unlimited matcha which you prepare yourself, there’s a mini faucet for hot water on your table!
Anyway, it’s quite hard to detail everything in a review, just go and experience it and don’t worry, the servers orient first time customers at the very beginning.

Been here gazillion times already. What can I say? Every time I go to this restaurant, I always end up munching on the first plate that gets on our table. Believe me when I say that it took me a humungous amount of self-control to not grab on the first order that arrived.
I am a regular here so the staff know me pretty well. Whenever I arrive, they instantly bring wasabi and Japanese Mayo. They also inform me whenever they have something new on the menu. Everyone’s just so polite and I really enjoy eating here.
Another awesome thing about this place is their technology. I can just input my order in the computer and in a couple of minutes’s going ro come through a small train-looking trays. I also like how their orders are small that I can try a lot of other stuff.

Most of the food we ordered were good. Service is ok. You order via the touch screen and it's pretty convenient and straightforward. Food delivery is through the train system except for soup items. Delivery time can be improved. There is free green tea powder and hot water is available at the table. For me though it's kinda pricey. Don't go here if you are very hungry--you'll be spending a lot.

The first time I went to Genki was in their BGC stopover branch and I have to say eventhough it’s the same resto the food in Aura was so much fresher and yummier. I enjoyed all the food and I have to say they were all really good however after spending more than 2,000 pesos we still didn’t feel full. The slice of the sashimi is a bit thin as shown in the photo. The tempura was unexpectedly really yum! The steam egg custard was also a surprise. The downside for me is that portions are deceivingly small making you order more. We got the strawberry ice cream for dessert which was good and a slice of the Vanilla crepe with strawberry sauce which was 😋 but bitin!
❤️ Though a bit pricey I look forward to coming back!

First time to experience Genki Sushi. Really amazed with their trains as their waiters. Less assistance needed. What I loved more here is that you can already see your running bill. And can just tick on it anytime. Amazing they they incorporated technology to make everything way convenient.
As for the food, we're really craving for sushi that's why it became all the more mouthwatering. Will definitely go back here!

Give it up for the cutest sushi shop who has an angry face for their restaurant logo! Cutie. Their sushi's a bit pricy but considering the way they serve it like they deliver to you like a train and you'll definitely would wanna bring your kids to see. The place is so techy too since you have the screen to order and you just wait for a couple of minutes to get your order. The sushi's tasted fine. They also have a matcha tea free on the table.
Food is good but tasted normal though nothing extraordinary.
Thus, We enjoyed the way the food was served to us.

This is the second branch of Genki Sushi that we've explored and it's a little odd how quickly it's gotten a bit worn around the edges, if you get my drift. This remains to be more a novelty than a great dining experience as the sushi is good but not amazing nor always of great value. Still it's fun and our alternative to the dearth of conveyor belt sushi places.
Will definitely catch your attention. The dining experience is out of the ordinary. Booth-style seats, touch screen menu and good service. They were even kind enough to accept us bringing in kiddie food for our daughter who requested her favorite, Jollibee. Serving is good for one person, if you order a lot, no problem to share. We ended up ordering several items as you are excited to see your food delivered on wheels, literally. And the food menu is just there and will always entice you to order some more. I liked the Fried Maki Salmon (P160.00). The Aosa Miso Soup was my daughter's order, tofu was a bit salty for me. It was a nice family lunch, we enjoyed our dining experience.
The experience of eating here far outweighs te food itself.
Genki Sushi is like a modern revolving Sushi Bar times ten. This self-serve
restaurant features tables provided with a tablet where patrons can place their orders based on photos that appear onscreen. Once done, there is a fee minutes' wait before small ( and I mean really small!) plates of food arrive courtesy of a plastic mechanical train. Cool right? As for the food- we had Lobster Salad, Salmon Sashimi, Chicken Terriyaki, Chicken Katsudon, Agedashi Tofu to name a few and the taste was so-so. I was expecting more. The price? Appears cheap at first but you'll soon understand why. Servings are so tiny, it comes out as expensive-or even more so- than high quality Japanese restaurants.
Loved the sushi! My sisters and I spent over 3K because we loved the sushi train experience! You order from a screen and a train delivers the sushi when it’s ready! The ingredients they use are fresh and the sushi we ordered were delicious!! Staff were very helpful, too! They’re happy to walk you through the system if you’re a first timer there. Just a tip though, make sure you check your bill from time to time to keep track of your orders and how much you’re consuming! In my experience, we got carried away by the unique experience and wanted to try everything!! It was money well spent though!

So I was craving for sushi and luckly I was near Sm Aura to try Genki Sushi.
The staff greeted me nicely and they were able to assist me to my seat, also asked if I was my first time and helped me with how to order stuff. It was around 2pm so there we're much people when I got there.
It was a fun experience tapping away on the small tablet to get your order, having a train deliver food to you and since I wasn't that hungry I only ordered tobiko, northern shirmp for my meal and daifuku for dessert. They had pickled ginger and matcha on the side so never bothered ordering drinks since they're drink menu is rather limited. (Had like bottled drinks ex. MoguMogu, orange juice) Wish they had more drink varieties.
On with the food, Tobiko was really good (usual thing I ask every sushi restaurants I go but usually doesn't have it) it was one of the reasons why I wanted to go there on the first place. It taste fresh and love how it pops in your mouth giving a sweet salty taste like seaweed (they're like lil sea bobba). Northern shrimp was really good; fresh, sweet and juicy! The portion is not big (unlike in other sushi restaurants where it's a mouthful) and was good for one bite (unless you have baby size mouth lol). Matcha tea complemented the food, it's not sweet and it had a seaweed like taste too it. The pickled ginger is good palate cleanser, just the right kick!
Lastly the daifuku, it took a while (if you want to order this better order it with your sushi since it takes a while to prepare). Nontheless, it was worth it! Top had a crunchy carmelized sugar and the cream inside was creamy and coffee-ish in taste. The very dango itself was chewy and springy (be warned not to eat it in one bite coz you might choke).
All in all the experience was really good and my sushi urges were satisfied. Price is worth it for how fresh it taste (tho some may find it overpriced for 2 small pc a portion but I do say you're paying for it's freshness and really worth it).
PS. bring a bigger budget if you're coming here coz you'll be ordering more than what you think you will.

I love their food and I love the novelty of food being served by a sushi train.
I liked the following:
- Spicy Double Salmon
- Fried Maki Salmon with Cream Cheese
- Salmon Taberu Layu
- Shrimp Garlic Butter
who doesn’t love salmon and shrimp??? hehe
We didn’t like the following so I won’t recommend these:
- Fluke fin which was buy 1 take 1 at that time
- Salmon Maki Roll
- Tuna Maki Roll
These are the cheaper options so we ordered them pampabusog pa more but not a good idea. 😊

This place offers affordable sushis and makis. I was surprise about the food pricing. It also serves food via running train which is a new experience for me. We had their tuna roll (P90), salmon roll (P90), spicy tuna (P150), chicken karaage (P200), salmon skin (P200), chicken teriyaki (P300) and match green tea (P150)
I highly recommend their spicy tuna roll and matcha green tea ice cream, the best. If you're craving for japanese food this is the place.

You will notice that they spend time and effort to ensure the quality of each dish. I like it that you don't need to ask for a menu and can order without much hassle or waiting.

My folks seriously enjoyed dining at Genki Sushi, mainly because of the plates on trains, which create a fun vibe. The bright interiors look similar to their Shibuya branch we'd visited years ago, except it's an all-bar seating arrangement.
One of the most affordable Salmon Sashimi in town (php250 for 3-4 slices), Grilled Salmon Belly php290, Miso Soup php90, Fries with Pollock Roe php120, Fried Salmon Skin php100, Fried Maki Salmon with Cheese php160, Chocolate Mousse php140.
I would recommend the Salmon Sashimi, and Chocolate Mousse. Best thing about Genki Sushi, for me, would be the unlimited hot water faucet (on each table), and the green tea powder provided. Yum!

My girlfriend and I had more than just sushi cravings as a reason for trying Genki Sushi. We read that some interesting features it had was a tablet ordering system. Little did we know that there were a lot more in store for us when we went there. One thing that I noticed and admired with the look of the restaurant was the cleanliness probably emphasized by the white tables and well lighted dining area. Both of us were excited and amazed trying out this method of ordering via tablet. With the continuous rise of technology it augments the customer ordering experience. There was also a wow factor when it comes to the serving system since they don't the staff for that or those usual sushi conveyor belts. They instead use mechanic plate servers on a track that goes directly to your table. (see pictures)
Notable food items in our meal was the Genki sushi which had a favorable yummy look which is the same as the taste. I liked the look because the outer layer is salmon slice that wraps around the sushi. As a salmon lover I approve of this. There is also the Spicy Salmon sushi that had the right amount of hotness to create an exciting taste. We washed down the food also with unlimited Matcha hot tea which you can make yourself on the spot since the powder and the hot water spout is already in the table.
The experience that was brought by the automated systems and good sushi brings a sleek and shiny experience which I think will entice sushi lovers both young and old.
It was my first time to visit genki sushi. I order for chicken teriyaki rice, the taste is awesome. It has new menu roll cake (citrus & honey). The taste is awesome. You should try it. I also order for california roll, tempura, fried tofu skin, vegetable kekiage, adegashi tofu. All of those menu, the taste is above average.
My son said "this is the funnest restaurant ever!" as he took his food brought by the bullet train. I totally agree even if I'm a grown up. The experience was so new, it was truly memorable. They had lots of sushi options but we are not sushi people so we just got the tuna roll and the spam tamago. We also got shrimp tempura, chicken teriyaki, fried chicken and cheese fries. I ordered the rare japanese cheesecake which tasted unusual for me while my boys really loved the strawberry ice cream.

We loved this japanese restaurant ever since it opened its first branch at Bonifacio stop over. Now i am waiting for their branch in near alabang in southern metro manila.
We were also ecstatic when we saw this branch at SM aura where we frequent for our groceries.
This is now our second time on this branch and we loved the food and the service. The crew are polite and alway ready to serve. The food is great and has wide variety for a conveyor sushi restaurant. We specially love the seared salmon, crispy salmon, fried chicken and chicken teriyaki. We are definitely going back every once in a while.

If a restaurant features a modernized interactive tablet with touchscreen where you could just drag the items you’d want to order plus it also features a cute motorized mini Shinkansen bullet train that will deliver your food right at your own table, wouldn’t you want to try it? Genki Sushi uses two mini trains [Shinkansen bullet train and Kousoko train] instead of a converyor belt which slowly parading who-knows-hold-old sushi in circles. Here at Genki Sushi, you order the sushi you want from a tablet and it gets delivered to you by a speedy train.
Admittedly, I’m a newbie in this type of restaurant. The last time I had something similar to this was back when I was a kid. Anyone from the 80’s who remembers ‘Choo-choo-junction’ restaurant? [Okay, I know I'm reavealing my age here]. Basically, the experience was some kind of déjà vu. But I’m telling you, I was so clueless the first time I went to Genki Sushi. So allow me to share with you the things I had experienced at Genki Sushi so that when you come and visit, you wouldn’t be as ignorant as I was.
Mounted above the seats is a tablet where you can just drag the items that you’d want to order and put them on the ‘train.’ Once you’re done, you can just tap the word go. Yes, use the tablet to navigate through the various sections of the menu and add items to your order. You can order five items at a time. Since what fits on each tray that zooms towards your side, you can order as many as you want. The trains come out so quickly and it buzzes off if you won't press the yellow button for the train to go back to the kitchen. Oh, and don't worry, the train stops right at your table, so you can be assured that it only delivers the things you have ordered.
What is most delectable about Genki Sushi is the plethora of flavours of sushi it has in store. Each and every piece of this savoury delight exudes a pleasant sweet flavor upon bite.
Located at the Basement of SM Aura Premier – I must say that Genki Sushi is a hidden gem within the Bonifacio Global City [BGC] area. This Japanese restaurant is marvelous in terms of its food and service quality. Be it sashimi, sushi, maki, tempura, grilled dishes, rice or noodles, I felt that each of them were genuine reflections of the Japanese cuisine.
There’s a condiment set on the counter between stations that contains chopsticks, napkins, a bottle of soy sauce, pickled ginger and use the faucet mounted at your station — it dispenses hot water.
When your order arrives, the button will start to flash and the speaker will beep at you. take your plates off the “train” and press the flashing yellow button to send the train back to the kitchen. At first, I was ordering a lot of stuff and eating without sending the train back away, thereby I didn’t realized I was causing some delays! I’m sorry!
Oh, and you guys should also try their delectable desserts too. New batch of tasty desserts are also available. Worth trying are the Caramel Mochi, the Maki Dessert, and the Vanilla and Strawberry Mille Crepes.
Favorites such as the famous Chirashi Don, Seared Salmon with Black Pepper, Chicken Teriyaki Don, River Eel Rice Bowl, and various sushi selection remain and new menu items have likewise been introduced. There’s the tasty Kushi-Age, 5 different kinds of deep fried skewered meat and vegetable in special Japanese batter; Coconut Shrimps, deep fried shrimps in panko bread crumbs rolled in coconut flakes; and 4 new selections of sumptuous sushi trios.
Genki Sushi’s fresh and easy-to-serve advantage, combined with its sleek and elegant setting, is truly deserving of its expansion. My first time in Genki Sushi, and definitely won't be the last! :)
I have been craving for sushi for the past few days. Today, after running some errands and taking my son to school, I had some ME time by heading over to SM Aura to get my Japanese cravings satisfied. At first I thought of Sushi Nori which is located in the foodcourt, but I remembered seeing a couple of weeks ago that Genki Sushi is opening in June. So I headed to the lower ground floor and was so happy that its finally open. The other BGC branch is in BGC stop over, which is too far for me.
I excitedly went in and asked to be seated away from the crowd as I am alone and I want to enjoy my sushi moment without being judged. Hahaha.
Good points:
•The ambiance is very lovely and lively, bright colors everywhere which is very enticing for eating.
•The staff are very jolly, energetic, accommodating and patient. Patient because for first timers like me, I had to ask the server (Benj) to teach me how to operate the touchscreen ordering facility. He gladly taught me how to order and where to receive the order and to press the yellow button after I get the order from the 'car'. He also made sure that everything is received in a timely manner. One thing Im impressed about is their greeting (in unison) upon entry and exit of customers.
•I have also seen that the owner is hands on in the restaurant, overseeing the operation. That's something I rarely see in other places.
•The prices are okay. I have included pictures of the menu with prices so you have an idea of how much to bring when you eat there. I paid a total of Php381.25 for authentic, fresh Salmon Taberu Layu (sushi with fresh salmon, chili oil and onion leeks on top, 2pcs), 3pcs of Fried Salmon Cheese Roll and a bottle of Sprite. That includes a service charge of 10%. You may think it's a bit pricey but it's worth it as I can tell they are made upon order. Super fresh, no hint of frozen stuff.
•The menu has a wide range to offer from your usual sushi to rolls to rice bowls to noodles and soups and even desserts.
Overall verdict: EXCELLENT
What to improve: NONE
Suggestions: Please place the touch screen to a bit lower part for it to be easier to access for people who have heavy flabby arms like me. Its like my arm is suspended mid air and its a bit of an effort especially on the shoulder.
Please continue to be awesome. I have already spread the word to my friends that you're alreasy open in a more accessible location. Will surely go back there and try other things on the menu. ❤️👍🏻🍣🍣🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵
