Great ambience, coffee and desserts as usual. The cold brew is a real lifechanger. A full 12 oz cup of milk is required though to make it taste milder than the overpowering bitterness.
This place has always been our go-to area for studying after our work shift :) the ambiance is nice, good place for relaxing, catch up session as well but some of the areas have dim light not suitable for reading.. Nonetheless, you can enjoy the place and their food
Interior is wonderful, super cousy. Staff are pretty nice. I went with double chocolate latte without coffee (cold on ice, not slush). I don’t understand why there’s no a ‘non slushy’ cold chocolate in the menu. Anyway it was ok, flavour and price point wise
I've attended a few wine pairing sessions but tea pairing is definitely something new to me. And when I got an invite to attend Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf's tea appreciation event with its Tea Master David de Candia, I quickly said yes. Hello, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf has established itself as a brand that serves great selection of beverages and dishes making it an ideal place for a quick drink or meal. Though coffee tends to take center stage, CBTL's tea selection is also worth checking out. And I had a fantastic time learning which sweet treat would go best with different teas.
I am a tea person, and just this year I was able to appreciate it more when I learned about their process in really producing their teas for cbtl! Among all, I live their paradise blend! It’s actually new! I actually have it at home! My day isn’t complete without it! 😊❤️
David de Candia, internationally renowned tea specialist and The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf’s Senior Director of 21 years, arrived in Manila for a series of workshops entitled “Discover Tea”. Resident Tea Master, Buyer and Blender, de Candia revealed his latest creation specially crafted for Filipinos, Paradise Blend.
How do you like your tea? With milk and sugar, or without? Black, green, white, or yellow perhaps? Well whichever way you drink it, having a cup of tea is always a great idea. And just recently, my favorite The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (CBTL) had a special surprise for tea lovers like me. David De Candia, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf’s Senior Director for Tea revealed his latest creation specially crafted exclusively for us Filipinos — The Paradise Blend.
It was indeed a delightful afternoon spent with Tea Master David de Candia learning all about tea at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in Burgos Circle, last Thursday....
Straight from California we’ve met The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf’s Tea Master, Mr. David De Candia at Forbestown branch in BGC. David let us discover tea like never before. He introduces CBTL’s newest tea blend called the Paradise Blend during the exclusive tea appreciation with him.
🍵Paradise Blend for Php695.00 (20 whole leaf tea bags) - A fruity, flavorful blend of mango, orange, carrots and Rooibos tea with apple and citrus notes.
During the event, we learned so many things about tea from David and CBTL’s team like the steeping time of the whole leaf teas:
🍵Green Teas - 3 minutes
🍵Black Teas - 5 minutes
🍵Oolong Teas - 5 minutes
🍵Herbal & Fruit Infusions - 7 minutes
Aside from learning on how to steep whole leaf teas. We also explore the perfect pairing for the teas, especially with CBTL’s cakes and pastries.
Overall, it was an afternoon full of fun. With all the activities we have participated, we learned something new. By the way, I created my own blend and I called it The Sunset (Orange Rose Tea), it has Orange Peel, Rose Petals and Black Tea.

I just gave 4 stars because this cafe is too cold [for me]! Sanitation, cleanliness, staff, service and menu are all 5 stars! This 2-storey cafe is great! They have tables outside which is refreshing!
Attended a National Oceans Month 3 Part Celebration at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Burgos Circle, BGC. The Event was at the second level. Everyone at the store was well informed and guided invited guests to the venue. It was a pleasant and informative afternoon shared with like minded individuals over some food Sponsored by CBTL. I enjoyed the Bolognese Pasta, thick Tomato sauce with generous meat. The Chocolate chip muffin was a filling dessert. The store offers a good view of the rotunda below. Great for relaxation. Recommended.
Iced Americano, Black. No sugar, no cream. Enjoyed the outdoor seating for the first time as smoking is now no longer allowed here.
Right by the circle, with a nice view of the small park.
One of the CBTL branch that I really enjoyed. The 2nd floor is very spacious and love the artsy color of the wall. This branch is really good thats why you'll see a few student camper upstairs.
For this holiday drinks of CBTL. I really love the Chocolate Blueberry latte. Still have that caffeine kick while having a hint flavor of berries in it. For the cake, the ube cheesecake is a must try. Love it! Not too sweet and hindi nakakaumay. Another plus point to CBTL you only need 12 stamps to have their planner. Yey!
Overall this place is a great quiet place to have a coffee. :)
Update Dec2017: Management has taken action and placed NO SMOKING signs on the table. Here's hoping they stick to the rule.

Me to cashier: Excuse me, your customers seated outside are smoking.

Mexican chocolate latte and Mexican chocolate ice blended for FREE! I was able to try two of their new drinks during their open house, and guess what? It reminded me of my childhood memory of cinnamon roll and chocolate drink! Cool eh?
P.S. If you're not a fan of cinnamon, this might not be a good choice for you.
Been here in 2013, one of the cozy coffee bean shop I've ever came. Not only the taste of coffee, the waiter and service here were good. Ambience also nice, so quiet.

CBTL is really on top of my list for coffee...Always have their Caffe latte and whatever pasta that suits my craving. But I got Banana chocolate muffin this time. I missed this place. It was reno for awhile so we had to make tambay somewhere else when we need to 😔. But now, it's back!😁😘 I love the coziness of this place... must visit - Burgos circle is one of the best guys🌷🌷🌷! Enjoy ☕ or ice blended this summer ☉
It's one of the better branches by virtue of density. It's quiet; perfect for contemplation, talking to yourself, and not looking like a creep while people watching.
I got the Hazelnut Blended Coffee. Perfect.
I find this place very cozy and spacious! It's a nice place to chill. A nice, quiet view over a cup of tea and slice of cake is good for breakfast after my stressful work and believe me, you would love to just stay in this place!
My new favorite branch of CBTL.
It's very spacious and the staffs are friendly too. :)
I like it that they have a second floor for extra seating.
Oh, and did I mention that they are one of the branches who serves the COLD BREW? :)
Order suggestions: Sardine & Garlic Pasta thingy, Ready-to-drink Berry Iced Tea (in a cup with ice), Caramel Macchiato
Good points:
- The wifi works
- Ambience is nice
- There are sockets (limited)
- Their ice bubbles are cute and fun to chew
Meh Points:
- I am not a fan of their drinks, it's more expensive than Starbucks
- Iced/Ice Blended drinks are more than half ice. DO NOT order here if you think Starbucks is already full of ice.
- As a regular customer, the service you experience is very inconsistent (kudos to the Ate who is always nice even if her co-workers seem toxic)
I have to agree that this CBTL branch is cozy place to just hang out and chill especially at the second floor. It wasn't busy on a Friday night (8pm to 10pm) nor on a Sunday night.
Might be the best place to get coffee and dessert after dinner in the Burgos Circle.
I really really really really really really like.... the turtle pie and another chocolate cake that I forgot the name of but had a price of Php155. Ofcourse they have the usual CBTL drinks of which the flavored hot teas are my favorite.
The restroom is clean, so that's a big plus for me.
After pigging out with a nearby restaurant, I just had to get my caffeine fix.
Since I get my daily fix from a competitor for practical reasons (back of my office), I wasn't sure what would work for me. I had the audacity to ask the barista whilst describing the type of drink I usually get (even mentioning the name of the drink) of their competitor 😜😂 but the barista was graceful enough and a good sport - kudos to that! To add, she was quick to recommend a drink that matches the profile of my usual; also had it long shot (dripped extra long). I loved their take in it, it's just too bad, their branch is 2 blocks away and I always go for convenience (proximity, time, parking etc.)
Overall, good coffee, efficient & friendly staff and good interiors.
I love CBTL. (Check out my reviews and you will know).
So I tried their Eggs Benedict for breakfast. And like what I said, CBTL will always be my comfort zone. Whenever I want to eat breakfast or to drink coffee or to relax CBTL is the first thing in my mind.
My daughter and I were craving fot breakfast and it was a good thing that Coffee Bean and Tea Keaf opens as early as 6AM. We ordered the Brek O'Day (P 265) with Chicken Ham and Panini (instead of bagel) which comes with brewed coffee, scrambled eggs , salad, butter, jam and salad. pan de sal recipe. My husband got his Spick Tuna Pandesal (P 65).
The oandesal it is one of the best Filipino dinner rolls that I have ever tasted. Its fluffy and semi-sweet buns conplemented the spicy tuna inside. We also ordered the Ultimate Vanilla (P 175). I so live this ice blended concoction---milky and not too sweet.
Ever since I tried their White Chocolate Dream, I knew Coffee Bean has become my favorite coffeehouse. Coffee Bean is usually calm and peaceful, allowing you to really savor the taste of your frappe or coffee.
For a student's budget, this is quite pricey but well worth it. Their coffee tastes really good, it's not too overpowered by whipped cream. This place is becoming my go-to coffeehouse for studying because more often than not, people go here to be productive or quietly drink coffee.
The cheesecake was delicious. It was really light and was the perfect partner for coffee. I love the ambience here and I'll definitely go back!plus plus points for the very nice, approachable staff and being open on Sundays!
Checked out this branch after dinner within Burgos Circle. I was not familiar with their menu so I checked with one of the Barista what could she recommend. Ended up having a large Mocha Latte, Red Orange Sweet Tea and their Guilt Free Chocolate Cake.
I had the mocha latte without sugar and zero fat milk and it's good. Their red orange sweet tea was a refreshing option. The guilt free chocolate cake was so smooth and it tasted very light for me. Masarap without reservations.
The restaurant is very spacious although it was a bit warm when I dine in.
My personal rating for the restaurant:
Food: 3.5
Service: 4.0
Place: 3.0
Happy Eating,
Foodie Day Out
Aren't you glad coffee shops like these are available for you on a Sunday and at 630AM? They get a point for just being there.
I love Coffee Bean. Even if my initial orders were not available, it lead me to try their Roast Beef sandwich for the first time. And just to let you know I've been supporting them since they started.
The sandwich had a generous portion of soft tender and real tasty meat. It was well paired with cheese and tomatoes. Chai Tea Latte is a perfect match. Yes, they have this compared to Starbucks version. Just the aroma, already satisfiesz
Was here to see another client and good friend. I like this particular store because it is a nice spot and very peaceful. This particular store has 2 levels so if you want more peaceful time you will enjoy upstairs.
As this was a very quick meeting and I've already had 2 coffees before this meeting I ended up having some juice so of course my favorite is the Mango Juice and I suggest when your buy these juices is to put some ice with the already ready drink then it's perfect! :) I'll have to surely come here if around the area and have more meetings here for sure!
Great coffee experience ! :) they have a nice selection of coffee and cakes . The barista are nice to begin with . They are friendly and accommodating.
Coffee bean & Tea leaf or just simply CBTL is one of the original coffee shops in the country. Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is operational since 1963. Started from California and over the years, this restaurant expand until it came to our mother country Philippines. Today CB & TL have over 100 coffee shops in the country. And today this coffee shops became perfect venue for meetups and meetings. Since we are waiting for our supplier we decided to have a coffee first in the nearest coffee shop.
Food 3.5/5.0 - We ordered white chocolate dream latte(140 Small)(+20 Whipped Cream), this coffee is just an average, no latte art or anything the coffee says it all. Next is their Matcha Green Tea (185 large)(+20 Whipped Cream)(Must Try) i Suggests this to all milk tea lovers, I suggest to ask the barista to lessen the sugar or remove it completely. We enjoyed our coffee and milk teas. As I saw the menu of the cafe. they didn't listed that the whipped cream is +20 pesos. They have sweets and snacks but we omit the snacks because we will transfer to another restaurant for dinner.
Service 3.5/5.0 - Fair Ratings
Ambiance/ Location 5.0/5.0 - One of the best spot in the burgos circle, situated on the perimeter of burgos circle roundabout. This cafe also is near to the basement parking entrance. and very easy to find. for it's ambiance, the place is very cozy. Good place to chill and very clean. I also gave them a grade of 5.0 because the area is not too crowded considering the time.
Next time we will try their snacks and dessert....
Less crowded compared to coffee shops in BHS. Internet is very reliable and staff is really friendly. Started giving out cards for their planners for 2016.
CBTL Burgos Circle has two floors. The first floor offering limited seats unlike what they have in the upper level. The store is generally clean. The music choice is good but the volume is too high for my liking. They offer free slow wifi connection. This branch is best for lunch/business meetings.
One of the better Coffee Beans. Nice view, large space. Other people like it too, judging on the crowds that come. Grab a cup (my favorite is an iced mocha latte) and sit by the window or sidewalk to people watch. If you are hungry, their roast chicken and mushroom fusilli or sardine and garlic pasta are both awesome.
The music can get kinda loud so if you're studying or working, bring headphones. Also, check your order and change before you walk away. The cashier is a bit absent minded. She first, gave me the wrong change and second gave me the wrong order. But no harm done cuz I noticed right away. :)
I rarely go to Coffee Bean for a night cap, so on the rare occasions that I do, I need to order a kind of cake or pastry to go with my drink because CBTL offers great baked items. The turtle pie is delicious, as is the Chicago cheesecake. If you're in the mood for something a little less sweet, the blueberry muffin is a pretty good alternative.
Coffee bean and tea leaf is an international franchise so I thought maybe they would have a generic cookie cutter menu. I couldn't be more wrong.
So I was out of the country missing the familiar and found a CB & TL. Craving for one of my supposed guilty pleasure breakfast meals, their Eggs Ben, I opted to have breakfast there before I start my day. To my surprise they didn't have them. Apparently, I learned from a friend who works at one, that it can only be found here in the Philippines. I felt so proud and silly at the same time (it was early and I haven't had coffee in my system)
I was once ashamed to admit that I liked their food their but now I am proud that I do. Most of everything savory is good but another favorite of mine is their Chilled Spicy Chicken Pasta Salad. A bit of a tongue twister but it's worth making a fool of yourself ordering it.
