This is one of the best places for Spanish Food in SM Aura whether for a full meal or like for us, a great place for a nightcap or after dinner drinks.
We all know Barcino’s Gambas are delciious well as their tapas and Paella Negra plus many other dishes that have become classics/favorites.
Another nice thing to note is they have their own Comfort Room, no need to leave the establishment to use the common/public CR of the mall.
Only a few tables were occupied at the time of our visit plus we only ordered (alcoholic) drinks and some churros so we didn’t encounter any problems with the service during our stay.
I really enjoyed the steak here.Big servings and juicy meat.The wine is also good.Conveniently open even around 10pm at night and the location is al fresco 😊
The best food I have tasted so far, each plate was delicious and met all expectations, flavors are well defined. Definitely no local flavors so you must be willing to taste something new.
Desserts were wonderful.
Romantic, quiet and pleasant. The food is okay and the servers were attentive. They have a roof top view and good for date nights. Food serving is quite small.

We initially reserved in Burgos Circle branch but got transferred to SM Aura branch. Luckily, that has been a great switch as Aura's branch of Barcino is amazing! During our visit, there's no customer and as if we rented the place for private late lunch.
Food is a bit pricy (luckily we got Eatigo) but worth it. We ordered one dish that has a great resemblance to our chicken adobo. I would definitely come back up ❤
I love Barcino, They are everywhere! My favourite place for gatheringS over sangria, tapas and paellas. Clean, great ambiance and Friendly staffs
Good food, very nice staff. It is a great experiece dinning here. Complimenrary food is also great. All menu expect platter accept zamato gold.

Food is great! Paella is a recommendation from me. They also have complimentary appetizers so another brownie point. The server is very warm and hospitable, however, if you are seated in the secluded "private" table then it's hard to call their attention.
Great Paella! The Chorizo and Fried baby squid are also good though a bit pricey. The wine selection is nice. The staff is very nice. Definitely satisfying! Really good food.
Love the paella negra here, could use a little more fillings though. The great thing about Barcino is that the same level of service can be expected from all branches.
Barcino showed a very good customer service, very polite. A perfect place for a Perfect date with family. Will definitely come back for more.
Authentic Spanish dishes that are priced fairly. Ordered paella, chorizo and baby squid calamares. Hooray for zomato gold :D

My friends and I just finished attending and watching the TNG CHRISTMAS CHORALE 2018 presentations at the MAYBANK THEATRE in BGC, it was about past 9pm already. One of my friends still need find a pair of sandals for the wedding she will be attending, so we headed to SM AURA departmentstore to find one. Unfortunately it was already late and we haven't eaten our dinners yet. Since its almost 10pm, most of the food establishments are closing already, luckily we found Barcino which is still open until 12mn.
Barcino serves Spanish dishes that we are not quite familiar with, but since I have my zomato app and I am a zomato GOLD member, we were able to check some of the dishes that looks and sound familiar to us haha!
So we ordered the following:
PAELLA A LA GALLEGA 3.5/5 Php 795
Who doesn't know rice!? So its in the middle of the night and we are indulging in these carbs. Expecting more of the meat and veggie ingredients in it, but maybe it is just the right way of cooking it? I'm not sure, I should know better! The taste was fine, I can eat it alone on its own. Serving size is good for 3 and that's fine. I just need to see and eat more of the ingredients aside from the rice!

Well my points to ponder for this restaurant is that it is...
1. for rich people only? hehe because food and drinks prices are way too high for its serving size.
2. for people who would like some quiet time (maybe because we are here late at night and we are the only customers that time)
3. for wine lovers, they have a lot of it in the menu!
4. for people who love wooden furnitures, my friend really liked the chair that we are seating on.
This is one of my favorite places to have a drink. Wine selection is vast and the food is amazing You have to try their cold cuts and the Paella Negra. Sangria is also a popular drink here and that’s what first attracted me to this place.
Barcino is Latin for Barcelona, the capital of the Catalan community in Spain, and home to the founder who wanted to bring an authentic taste of their homeland into this region, Barcino first opened its doors in 2004 as a quaint deli bar in Ortigas offering selected wines, premium cheeses, and delectable Spanish deli. In a couple of years, it expanded to an extensive resto wine bar showcasing well-loved traditional Spanish flavors, tapas, and recipes. Now with 17 outlets, it continues to grow in the key cities of the metro by espousing the fun and festivity of the Spanish cuisine, yet remaining true to its treasured roots as a tapas wine bar.

And alongside with the merriment and cheer, comes all the amazing holiday food. Well, here’s great news for everyone throwing parties this Christmas 2018. Party trays and packages are becoming a trend. Luckily, one of my favorite Spanish restaurants in Manila, offers Barcino’s Party Trays and Packages for the holidays.
If I need to chill with a glass of wine/sangria after a very stressful week, Barcino is absolutely my go to place! I love chilling here with friends! I love their paella negra! It’s very flavorful! I also love their chorizo! I normally pair my wine with a cheese platter! I believe that wine isn’t complete without a cheese platter. This is really a restaurant that I would constantly come back! 😊❤️
Christmas is just around the corner and with relatives coming home for the holidays and potluck parties filling our calendars, I couldn't help myself from looking for some shortcuts. It is also the busiest time of the year for me so having a little help is very much appreciated. Thankfully, several establishments I patronize are embracing the holiday spirit and are saving most of us from slaving in the kitchen. And one of the newest addition to my list of saviors is Barcino.

Barcino is a great place to experience Spanish Cuisine!
The following are the dishes that seemed remarkable to me:
Ensalada de Pollo Y Mango
- Mixed green salad with roast chicken and mango dressed with citrus vinaigrette!
- This was a refreshing salad. The dressing’s great with the veggies and chicken! I liked its citrusy flavor!
Paella Negra
- Paella rice cooked with squid ink topped with squid rings and aioli
- This was mouth-watering! I didn’t mind eating only one or two pieces of squid rings at all because the rice was the BOMB!
Croquetas Setas
- Homemade croquettes with creamy mushrooms!
- I believe these croquetas have other variants. I was able to taste the croquettes with spinach filling. I enjoyed these croquetas too! They’re flavorful!
Pollo Empanado con Queso
- Rolled chicken thighs with Manchego cheese and caramelized onions, breaded and deep-fried.
- I was also impressed with the taste of the empanado though the flavors of the cheese and onions were strong, they blended well together! The meat was tender too!
Chorizo Picante Frito
- Spicy Fried Chorizo
- All of us loved the chorizo! It was delicious!
Pollo Al Ajillo
- Chicken sauteed with garlic and white wine sauce
- Oh I totally loved the flavor of this dish! I wanted it eaten with lots of rice. My goodness!
Tarta De Manzana
- Sweet apple tart on puff pastry with custard filling topped with glazed fresh sliced apples sprinkled with cinnamon powder.
- This dessert is perfect with or without ice cream!
Good outlet on top of SM Aura with the colorful fountain right outside the outdoor seating area.
I love the pollo al ajillo and the patatas bravas here. Excellent taste and just right to pair with drinks. We had Sangria Tinto, a mojito and red wine mix (forget the name) and Granita- their take on margarita.

I have always had this mellow curiosity about Barcino. It's quite known with the dining populace, but just as popular, if not at all famous, a drinking place as well. I must admit though, I am no drinker of any type alcohol, and Spanish cuisine is one food territory I'm not at all educated with. 😅 So, as one could imagine, this dining experience was borne out of curiosity maybe, and to be honest, and quite thankfully, it turned out very well. 😊 The place was ornately bedecked with rustic Spanish decor, and wine shelves all over. The light was dim, but it really added to that ambience they were obviously going for, and so was I; I was all for it. The servers they have here were so polite, and courteous to what I needed, and quite notably too, since Spanish food is foreign to me, they walked me through which went well with what, and they did it knowledgably well. Very plausible, indeed. I first ordered a plate of their Croquetas de Espinacas, which were creamed spinach croquettes. It was okay, and not to the point where I was blown away, or what. Mediocre. 🙂 Followed by a plate of their Pollo Empanado con Queso, which was so good! 😋 This is when things started to gain pace, a delicious one, that is. It was so good, and it came with a helping of side salad, but I decided to order a serving of rice to go with it. 😋 The finale for me, as it is the moset delicious, and perhaps could salvage the monotony of the croquettes, the Gambas Al Ajillo! 🤤 It was soooo delicious! 🤤 King prawns, with a generous helping of flavorful, sauteéd garlic, and chilis! 🤤 Deliociosa! 👌🏻 At this point, I already ordered my second serving of rice, it was that good! I remember eating every prawn with all the garlic, and chilis, and even sopping up all the oil with some rice, just to get all those flavor from the platter! 🤤 To sum it all up, this dining experience was one for the books! 👌🏻 Place, service, and the food, all win-win. It pays to satisfy your curiosity really, and get paid off with such a notably memorable dining experience! I would definitely keep coming back for that gambas! 😋🦐

I loved having their red sangria in the outside seating area where the balcony overlooked the BGC skyline. We went when there was a live band, which made the place very festive even at 2 in the morning.
I love the ambiance of this wine bar. Very classy and cozy. For starters we had the patatas bravas. It was sooo good! I love the slightly tangy and spicy cream sauce. We ordered the chorizo iberico to go with our wine. We had 3 orders of the chorizo, we love it that much. We ordered the seafood paella. It was disappointing though coz I find it too salty (considering the fact that I love salty food). The wine selection is good but the wine by the glass is quite expensive so I suggest get it by the bottle instead. Great customer service. I will definitley come back but I wont order the paella again.
I met up with my bf at SM Aura since it's one of the few places that was still open at 9pm. We decided to grab a drink at Barcino and opted to stay at their open area. I really liked the ambiance and how they creatively used wine barrel for some of the chairs.
For our pica-pica we had Janon Serrano (Php345) then for our drinks Sangria Glass (Php280) and Sangria Blanca (Php280). It was mixed perfectly, worth the price.
My only issue was, it lacked ventilation and hoped they had a fan or something to keep the area cool.

This is best for family get togethers, corporate meetings or if you simply want an airconditioned place. However, You can also hang outside at the bar where you can relax on their couches and gaze at the water fountains...

My first visit at Barcino Wine and Resto Bar was in their Greenbelt 2 branch for a quick late night get-together with my high school friends. They had their Sangria while I had my Mango Shake. For some reasons, I can no longer take anything alcoholic anymore. We stayed at the al fresco where there are a lot of people drinking and enjoying the music and the night.
I've eaten food from Barcelona, Spain and I have to say the flavour is very accurate. Good service, good food and a wonderful ambience.

The sangria is really good and sweet. Croquetas with mushroom are good, one of the best in Manila. Lots of food and drink options. Great vibe

Me and my boyfriend were looking for a nice, cozy restaurant to spend our anniversary when I was captivated by the menu I saw in this resto. Since we were longing for an european style, we decided to give this a try.
We ordered the seafood paella and the serving was big enough to accommodate 2-3 persons and must say that this really made our stomach full. Though, a little downer here was the rice was not properly done as it lacks in taste and does not compliment the paella dish.
But what I loved here is their potato salad (forgot the exact name) I liked how they stuff up the potato with cream, vegetables and tomato that it is really enticing to our tastebuds.
I also like their wide variety of cocktail drinks and alcoholic beverages and that you can go for non alcoholic coktail drink if you're not much of a drinker. We were also grateful by their complimentary bread served with vinegrette, olive oil, butter and tomato.
Over all, we were delighted at this place as it truly bring us back to the Spanish era and the classic, vintage wine house.
Barcino is a spanish restaurant, I ordered paella with pork and chicken toppings, it taste good and the serving is very big, good for three persons in one order. Plus the appetizer I had pull off the whole dinner experience, the meatballs in tomato sauce, super yummy and worth it. At the end of the day super busog and sulit yung binayad for the whole dinner exp, the ambiance is good, it's more like of a wine house, the place is kinda urbane. I can't say it's a must try but if you want something different visit Barcino nearest you :)
A perfect place for wine and cheese lovers. So much love for their Gambas Al Ajillo and different cold cuts. Very good interior design and service.

We were hungry and looking for a quiet place to eat dinner at SM Aura's 5th Floor when we reached the end of the promenade and there was only two choices-- the sports bar and Barcino. After looking at the menu, my siblings and I decided to sit al fresco. It didn't take long for our order to come-- calamares, salmon appetizers and the yummy looking seafood paella, We were not disappointed as the Paella was really good and the three prawns on top of the paella was just enough for the three of us. Calamares and the salmon were likewise fresh and we loved it.
Highly recommended.
I really enjoyed their food and service, and this restaurant was commended by my dad stating that their Spanish dishes are really noteworthy and can be compared to what he has experienced back in Spain. The food is generally flavorful and yummy, plus they look really scrumptious.

Been here start of the year, with friends. We ordered Paella Negra for lunch and came back the same night for a late dinner ( Tapas Gourmet, Cheese and Chorizo platter, Jamon Serrano, etc.) and drinks. The quality of the food and service was consistent and outstanding.
Definitely order their beers and cocktails or ask the nice staff for recommendations (specially for pairing).
The interior is cozy, with a touch of vintage rustic glamour which is a brilliant mix.
We stayed outside next to the fountain / water feature with stars above us. What a great way to end a stressful day.
I've always liked Barcinos. They serve authentic Spanish tapas dishes and have a great selection of wines. This particular branch though gets special mention coz I love the vibe here. Very steady although it's only open air (not sure how they handle the summer heat as we went here earlier in the year). It's located in the Sky Park on the rooftop of SM Aura.
Been reading bad reviews about this particular branch but I would like to differ. We had a great time here with my officemates. We had dinner and drinks to wind off after a busy week. Food was superb as usual. Barcino will always be my favorite, kahit saang branch pa! Serving time was good, servers' attention was a bit hard to catch but they act quick, al fresco set-up is perfect to hang out with friends.

After light lunch at a Greek restaurant (food review below), my brother and I decided to roam around SM Aura for a bit and ended up at the SkyPark. We chanced upon Barcino and decided to give it a go.
Being perhaps the newest branch, I'd say it also is one of the nicer ones. The wooden accents (they actually split wine barrels to serve as backrest for some chairs and as kitchen portholes), flat tv's and spanish monochrome photos exude that true tapas bar feel.
It was happy hour and we ordered two bottles of 1906 and the chorizo picante frito. Simply put, 1906 was the the best roasted malt beer I have tried. It packed all the earthy malt goodness one can wish for. No wonder it won the 2012 world beer brew challenge. I recommend this to anyone looking for a great beer.
The chorizo picante was superb as usual. It had the peppery (cayenne, paprika) and meaty taste that just goes well with malt beer. However, compared to what Barcino near Burgos Circle serves, the portion size was smaller. Or maybe they have adjusted it, compared to what I had from my last visit.
Interestingly, the resto also has three restrooms. One for male, female, and a third one with a picture of a male and female dancing.
Barcino also has two mini function rooms (seats 8 and 4 respectively )that usually has a consumable rate, but I think guests are free to use it on weekdays/ non -peak hours.
If you find yourself at SM Aura and happen to look for a great quiet place for meetups, me-time or just to relax, with good food and drinks, Barcino is the place to go.
