Thank you for having an option for vegetarians! The mushroom ramen always hits the spot whenever I crave for ramen since we decided to go plant-based. Always a pleasure to order from Ippudo in Uptown - the staff are friendly and they leave thank you notes to their patrons.
I would normally have family dinner here at ippudo, one of the best ramen houses I tried every time that I am in the Philippines, though I must say that I keep on trying other joints - at the end of the day I would go back to my comfort ramen shop. I never missed to order their pork buns with my ramen. Plus my fave after ramen treats ... matcha creme brulee
If these guys ain't the best servers out there...👍😱
Got high expectations since we've dined at Ippudo in Kyoto, Japan.
Akamaru Special and Shiromaru Special - 5/5
Ingredients of both ramen are the same. Difference is the flavor. Akamaru is kind of spicy. They use the same broth which is not too rich. You can also choose the texture of yiur noodles. My husband and I loooove the tamago. It is perfectly soft boiled egg with smooth yolk.
Hakata Style Gyoza 5/5
Plump and juicy. The ones in Japan were small but around 10 pieces. The ones here are 5-piece dish.
Ebi Tempura Roll 10/5
Initially, we prefer the salmon roll but it's not available. So, we opt for this roll. NO REGRETS!!! This is the bomb! It is sooo flavorful and has lots of roe.
Ambience: 5/5 (They have a good playlist. The place is so clean and cozy.
Customer Service: 10/5 (They have good team membees. Shout out to Ellane. She is knowledgeable, friemdly, amd accommodating)
Zomato Gold 2 + 2

I am not that particular with the flavors of ramen especially with the plethora of choices in Metro Manila. But I knew that just having a single sip of the broth and bite of those scrumptious noodles that I am experiencing something special.
The broth was delicious but the texture of the noodles really convinced me that this was a notch above or dare I say the top players in the Ramen game here in the Metro.
Thank you Ippudo for giving me this wonderful dining experience.
Tried their lunch set and it was sulit and filling! What I liked about it is that I got to try a bit of different foods in the menu 😊 First time to try Goma Q and it was amazing! There's something in the dressing that makes me want more. The ramen is excellent, not too rich but the taste is definitely there. Will come back to try tantanmem 😄 As always, servers are very nice! They check up on you too to make sure everything's okay.
Ippudo’s ramen is the best❤️ Can’t complain. .
Another ippudo outlet which my family and I always enjoy. This is a much bigger branch compared to Rockwell. It is very good but I enjoy Rockwell more. Will be back again soon.
This place has the most tasty ramen and possibly the closest to the Ramens in Japan. I usually order the Yokohama ramen. Their place is very spacious too
First timer. Price is expensive, which is expected since majority of the ramen places in PH are really expensive, but still worth it, especially if you haven't had ramen for a while. I used Zomato's gold promo so we got an extra two drinks.
Ordered shirumaru tamago which I enjoyed, although I was expecting to have more noodles and pork loin in it, since the price is expensive.
Staff was polite and accommodating. One of the staff member quickly offered us a seat and the menu, although he wasn't able to return my ID which I only remembered when I was on my way home already, which is still fine since I work near the area (though a bit hassle to get it 😁). Also, it was a different staff already who gave us our bill, so he might not be aware that my ID was with them or hasn't been returned to me.
No one answers the number indicated in their receipt, if that number is not being used anymore, they might want to update it.
Feedback form was given after we've ordered. In my opinion, if business really wants to get honest feedback of their customers, it should be given once transaction is finished to avoid bias, otherwise customers will have the idea of what needs to be observed and they will only focus on observing those indicated in the form.
Best place to get a ramen!!! I've eaten here twice already and what keeps me on coming back is their ramen that is full of flavor and their fried gyoza. A must try!
Another excellent Ippudo outlet and truly stands for its quality ramen and excellent service.
I had the Karaka Special as I wanted to experience a spicy flavour. Replaced pork with Tofu and opted for the very hard noodles. The broth is wonderful and rich with flavours.
Place is packed when we arrived but they accommodated us immediately since we’re just two pax. Ambience is good but it is a bit hot in the other parts of the restaurant. Their ramen is, undoubtedly, to die for! I loved their spicy ebi maki😍 This place is really a must-try.
Ippudo is my favorite ramen resto ever. It's their ramen I crave for whenever I feel down 😁 the service is great too. Although, I dined in Ippudo Uptown twice, idk but I hope they don't have prob with AC, I'll rate them perfect 5 still.
My first time trying Ippudo, recommended by my friends. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Service was great, I was seated right away. Food was served quickly and it was delicious. Glad I took the time to try Ippudo.
Went here with visitors from Cebu on a holiday so no long lines or long wait. Everything was good. Ramen, gyoza, okonomiyaki and salmon sushi were all good! Except for me and a friend, it was their first time to try this restaurant and they loved it!
Not a super fan of ramen but Ippudo definitely is one of the best ramen places in Manila. We were seated almost immediately. Ordered items were the Tantanmen, Yokohama Ramen, Gyoza and Ebi Roll.
Very cozy place compared sa iba branches and as expected, very good ramen. Medyo pricey lang ng konti but overall worth it naman. Attentive staff and very helpful.
I have made it my goal to eat at different restaurants every time this year...with exemptions of course; Ippudo is one of those exemptions.
I am addicted to their Karakamen. Great flavors, I just add more spiciness and it is perfect. The gyoza is Ok, no qualms and although not very memorable but still a good addition to every ramen meal.Karaage is sweet and the dip compliments the sweet-crunchy chicken well.
The place is spacious and comfortable. Modern Japanese. The servers are exceptionally attentive and go beyond their work. 5 stars for their servers alone.
Ippudo is one of my top 5 when it comes to ramen. The crew is attentive and being that it was our first time to visit, they took the time to explain their menu - what were the best sellers and recommendations based on what we were looking for. I also liked the ambiance - clean, not too crowded nor noisy. For the food, I had the Akamaru Special and my partner ordered the Shiromaru Special. The ramen were savory and not too oily. The noodles were cooked just right as well. Delicious! I also recommend their Ebi Tempura Roll - definitely a must try! As for the price, it's reasonable and proportion to their serving. Will we come back - yes we would! =) #HappyTummy
Their staff are friendly and their food is great. Though I gave only 4 stars because I know a restaurant that serves ramen with greater taste. The only advantage of Ippudo is that, tamago, nori, etc. are already included in your ramen, there's plenty of meat too, unlike with others where you're only served with noodles, broth, and meat, so if you like tamago, nori, etc. on your ramen, you'll have to pay for them separately.
Pre-Ichiran Ramen, Ippudo has been one of my go to ramen joint. Definitely one of the best ramen shop in the Philippines. This branch is consistently satisfying my ramen craving since day 1 - so as my daughter who enjoys their customized ramen bowl set made for kids. Their staff were very kind and courteous, they'll give recommendation and provide a quick menu explanation when asked. I just hope that they reconsider lowering down their price as sooner or later, the competition will be tighter and people will search for a good ramen at a good price.
Let's rate them shall we?
Food: 5/5
Ambiance: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Value for money: 4/5
Tried Tantanmen, a bit pricey but the price is reasonable. I love how spicy it is (spicy fan here) they served our food quickly :) will definitely go back and try other food :)
Tantanmen was the best ramen I have ever had so far. It was just right and the flavors bursted in every bite. The broth was just right. Will order this more often.
Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ambience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Their Ebi Tempura Roll is a sure win. I didn’t really expected it to taste so good since we were only there for their Ramen. We tried their limited edition Yokohama Iekei Ramen and Akamaru Special Ramen - the Akamaru Ramen won.
I tried their special ramen (it was in a signboard by the restaurant, not in the menu). It was basically like the Shiomaru. This place made me believe that there is a ramen god😂.
Their noodles were so good and thin, like the strands of a harp waiting to be plucked with my chopsticks. The broth was so rich as well. It was almost perfect- the chasu piece was just a tad too overcooked for me but it's very much forgivable. My bf and I lapped up our bowls like piggies 🐖🐖.
Their customer service is awesome as well! Shout out to their friendly and courteous wait staff that were so fast and attentive. They really nailed it!
First time for us to try Ippudo and we loved it. Love the ramen. The whole family did. There is just a bit of wait before you can go in but it was a holiday and during dinner time so i guess that's why.
This place is a direct competitor of Mendokoro Ramenba. This was my first visit but not the last one, that’s for sure.
I liked that their menu is very focused. It’s not scarce but at the same time also not overcrowded. It was also very easy to decide what to pick, so I went with Karakamen Special (hard level of noodles).
The pork wasn’t the best pork I’ve had but it was quite decent anyway. The broth is not as thick as at Mendokoro but it’s not a big deal for me. The broth was nice and spicy (moderately). Make sure to add sesame at bawang for that extra flavour. By no means the noodles were inferior than Mendokoro’s, but they were different (which is a good thing).
So who’s the winner: Mendokoro or Ippudo? To be honest, I’m not really sure. Ebi Tonkatsu from Mendokoro still beats everything, but this is only because I’m a big shrimp lover. I’ll come back to Ippudo to try more of their noms. Yes, I’m already dreaming of it... 😋
Ippudo is one of the better ramen joints in the metro. With firm and thin noodles in a rich, creamy broth, their ramen is adored by most people. The Pork Bun is fantastic too; the braised pork belly enveloped in a soft, steamed bun makes a great appetizer. I also recommend their Okonomiyaki, which is topped with slices of tender chasyu, and the Torched Salmon Roll, where the melt-in-your-mouth salmon, creamy mentaiko mayo, and fish roe together create the perfect bite

First of all, we were greeted a warm welcome by the staff. They are very assisting.
I ordered Shiromaru Special (P490.00), my fellow foodie ordered Karaka Ramen. What I like about the Shiromaru Ramen is that it's very light and creamy. The 'special' version has lots of servings of pork belly and pork loin and it was easy to chew :)
I tried tasting the Karaka Ramen and it was so good! Yes, it was spicy. I'm not fond of eating spicy noodles/soup. I like how thick the soup is. Broth used is tasty and I wish spiciness can be adjusted so I can finish and enjoy it (if I order myself that ramen next time).
I also tried the Pork Bun (P125.00) - world's famous pork bun, with juicy braised pork belly and Ippudo's special sauce and Japanese mayonaisse. The pork belly is too tender, like it literally melts in your mouth. I like it. The special sauce just made it more tasty which is a good complement of the bun.
For our dessert, we had:
Matcha Creme Brulee (P165.00) - Creamy matcha brulee topped with vanilla ice cream and a sprinkling of matcha powder. I like how it's not too sweet for my liking, at the same time, the matcha flavor isn't too bitter. In short, the flavor is balanced.
Their Ebi Tempura is H-E-A-V-E-N!!! I could eat it the whole day, way way better than any other. Just seeing it on my photo makes me crave for it everyday. We also ordered their Shiromaru Special Ramen, Okonomiyaki and Matcha Creme Brulee. We're very satisfied of the taste. Zac was very helpful since it's our first time to try Ippudo. Can't wait to go back again!
We went here because it's my bro's bday and we wanna try because a lot of people say this is the best ramen for them.
Apparently, it is not the best ramen for us. I won't mind the expensive price if it's really the best ramen. I hate the noodle because it has almost the same quality as instant Nissin ramen's. The pork could be better, softer and richer in flavour. I don't also see the point of topping it with wansoy.
However, IT IS a recommendable ramen. I love that they top the tantanmen with parmesan cheese; that it has big servings of ramen; that the spicy ramen is legitimately spicy; and that they offer good service and beautiful ambiance.
And oh, please try their salmon sushi roll! The best and cutest salmon sushi roll I had! ♥
No. 1 resto in uptown for me tho.
So I’ve been here twice and it keeps getting better every time I visit. I tried staying at the table where you can eat alone (forgot what it’s called) in my last visit, but it just gave me a hard time calling the attendants. But aside from that, everything is PERFECT. So i tried the Akamaru Special (hard noodles) and pork bun. I enjoyed every bit of these two orders! It’s something to try over and OVER again! So excited to eat here again!
I first tried Ippudo a few years ago when they opened they’re first branch in megamall , I didn’t like it much back then and that was the first and last I visited .
fast forward to yesterday, visited their Uptown mall branch which is a lot fancy now, more like a fine dining feel.
Got the Akamaru special and their pork buns.
This time it tasted amazing 🙌🏻
the broth was flavorful, bursting with umami and that hint of garlic and miso and its not overwhelming, the level of saltiness is just in the middle.
Their staff’s customer interaction is superb, from the greetings to product knowledge, Standard group outdid themselves.
UPDATE: 12/1/2018
The Store Manager reached out to me about a month ago regarding our last visit. Asked what happened and promised to make it up on our next visit. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting a message/call or to recieve any complimentary meals. But it was sincerely appreciated. My review was purely based on experience and observations.
Anyway, today was a redemption!
We were attended to by the Manager and Head Chef. 😀 Service was really quick; food quality is at par; and to top it off, everyone was very very accommodating and attentive. Thank you for the complimentary meals. And again, regards to everyone at your branch. Two thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻! Keep it up!😉

While I love Ippudo in general, and have eaten at this branch once before, our second visit was a bit disappointing.
Came here at around 3-4 pm on a Sunday, with only about 4 tables occupied, service was really really slow.
Our order included pork buns, a ramen, chicken karaage, and a roll. The pork buns were served first, then the karaage and ramen. The roll - had to follow up 4 times before it was even served. By then, we were almost done eating. And the thing I hate the most in rolls, is that the nori is soaked through and is very chewy when eaten. Only ate 3 pieces. What a waste.
Again, considering the few customers that they have at that time, service should have been faster. Coz thats the experience we’ve had in other branches - no matter how full the resto is, food is served really fast.
I guess this was also due to a staff meeting they were having at that time. There were only 2 people on the dining area and probably 1 left inthe kitchen.
Not happy.
We came to Ippudo to try the anniversary promo which only cost 290, the Ramen Zero. It turned out to be the best tasting ramen I ever had since Ramen Nagi. It became our favorite place indeed. The ambiance is great and the staff are accomodating. Pork buns and Okonomiyaki are our favourite side dishes. Will definitely come back to this place regularly.
Always great food. Ippudo will always be on my top list. I think this is better than Ichiran in Japan (though of course you pay for the experience in Ichiran). Pork buns are the bomb. I will keep coming back. As long as I have the budget lol.
The akamaru ramen was fantastic! I loved the medium level of hardness of the noodles complimenting the tasty broth.
The whole experience would've been perfect had the AC of the outlet been stronger. There were 7 of us and we were all sweating. It didn't even add that the table next to us was hoarding the air cooler that would'vr somehow make the out temperature bearable.
Overall, it is worth-it.
Super super late review. Sa super late, hindi ko na maalala kung ano to. Can someone leave a comment? Thanks in advance sa help :)
But yes super nagustuhan ko to yung linamnam at anghang saktong sakto lang. More power and God bless Ippudo Uptown!! :)
They have a really nice modern interior and the staff was all welcoming. Dine here for a couple of imes now, and the service was consistent. I must that the prices of their dishes are all expensive but it's worth it,
Torched Salmon Roll - a global favorite which also became my ultimate favorite. 😋 A torched salmon sushi roll topped with creamy mentaiko mayo and fish roe.
Goma Q - Japanese sliced cucumber with sesame dressing and a little spicyness that won't hurt your tongue. I really love this but it was quite expensive. 5/5 for the taste but 4/5 because it was TOO EXPENSIVE for a cucumber. Huhu. Bakit ang mahal? Pero sobrang sarap 'to.
Tantanmen - their limited edition ramen. How I wish this would stay forever on their menu! This ramen has everything balanced. Their signature tonkotsu broth was mixed with tantanmen oil making it a bit spicy then topped with ground pork, torched chasu, cilantro, and onsen tamago or the Japanese-style soft-boiled egg and parmesan cheese. Indeed, another piece of heaven on earth.
Deep Fried Gyoza - crunchy deep fried gyoza! I really love how it was served on a bed of cabbage. Yum!
Okonomiyaki - another yum but why was it too small? Bitin!

I'm giving them a 5 because of the fast response of their Manager. There was a problem with our order and they were able to fix it right away. For me, they have one of the best ramens in Manila, not too oily and with the right umami taste. We ordered the Shiromaru and the Akamaru, comfort food when it rains. The buns are also delicious.
The ramen you’ve all been craving for is now back. Experience Tantanmen’s one of a kind flavor with us here at @ippudoph new branch located at Uptown Mall BGC starting last July.

Overall:
I love their Tantanmen Ramen soooo delicious. As for interior design i love how they used their bowls and spoons as ceiling decors, amazing right? Servers were attentive, approachable and neat too. Will definitely go back and try their other sets of ramen.
Remember to Stop that reminiscing and start experiencing the world famous ramen perfect for this rainy season.

In this post: Tantanmen, Ebi Tempura Roll, Okonomiyaki, Mango Shake
A month ago, July 11, 2018, Ippudo brought back Tantanmen in their menu due to insistent public demand. And guess what? It is not a limited time offer.
I can hardly imagine that this is just the second time I've been to Ippudo. The first was even 2 years ago during the launch of Gyokai Tonkotsu which was offered for a limited time.
The place with so many soup spoon and bowl as their interior - fab!
It was lunch when we arrived here and lucky to get seats for our group, we're immediately assisted by the staff.
We even request to move into a cozier area even we already got our glass of water.
It was my first time with Ippudo and I'm okay how the broth tastes and the noodles as well - I tried Shiromaru. It's not something that would let me remember Ippudo's name, probably try another ramen from the menu next visit!
Ramen is one of the best food that will ever be invented by the Japanese and this restaurant totally captures that PLUS they have a really huge serving.
It's a good experience to visit this place.
We enjoyed their service, they are so helpful.
Me and my boyfriend can't get enough of their ramen. It's so good.

PSA: The Star of the 2016 Tokyo Ramen Show will be back in all Ippudo branches 🇵🇭 starting July 11! 🍜
I really like Ippudo’s version of Tantanmen as it’s so rich and creamy. It’s made with Ippudo’s signature tonkotsu broth, cilantro, onions, torched chashu, ground pork, parmesan cheese, egg, and tantanmen oil. It’s a bit spicy, but it’s truly packed with amazing flavors.
Be sure to get it soon as it’s just available for a limited time only. So see you this July 11?
The ramen here is above average but the appetizers are awesome. The pork bun, chicken bun, gyoza and nanban karaage are my favorite. Don’t forget to save room for the matcha brûlée.
My first time to try ramen and it was great! A totally unforgettable experience. The broth was great. Noodles were cooked al dente. Staff was very helpful. Took a while before I could finally order but they helped me through. And it was the best. Will be back to try the other ramen choices. See you soon Ippudo!
With its vast seating options, and high ceilings, this could be perhaps one of the more spacious Ippudo branches around. We went there on a stormy morning to get our fill of something warm, and hearty. I originally ordered a Karaka Special, but ended getting an Akamaru instead since they were out of the former that morning. We also grabbed plates of their Fried Chicken Bun which, as it has always been, very tasty, and flavorul! The Nanban Karaage however, was noticeably lesser in portion compared to when I last had it from a different branch, almost a year ago. It was, strikingly less, to say the least, and I could even say it's not worth the money anymore as they chose to retain it's original price point. As for the service, no complaints.
10/10, from the attentiveness of the staff to the yumminess of the food. My daughter loved the broth of Shiromaru. My husband and I loved the Karakamen. Gyoza, ebi tempura and the pork buns are also delicious. Kudos to Paul, no need to call his attention for anything as he is always checking on us.
Love the interiors, creative use of the spoons and bowls 😂 Kudos to the interior designers.
Broth was good too. Got the Akamaru order with medium spicy flavor.
I wished I hadn't made it spicy though. Because although the broth was good, I didn't get to enjoy the full taste of the broth since I felt the spice overpowered the flavor. So to help, midway through I added some sesame seeds and garlic for extra kick. Do it! It enhanced the flavor nicely.
Another thing was, I felt the noodles could have had a better flavor - any flavor 😶.
Either way, I'll definitely be back to try other flavors. Not spicy 😊
Oh and their service is great! Their treatment of you makes you feel good.
Ramen is legit. Price is also legit. Haahaa. Anyway, thats the irony of it.. you have to pay more for the food to taste good. Lols. Anyway, what can i say about their ramen. For me they are way way better than ramen nagi. I love the broth the soup whatever you wanna call it. I ordered the yokohama ramen i loveee it super! The salmon roll is a must try !! Their pork bun never fails to amaze me. Its also a crowd favorite. The makki roll is just so so... na uh. I wil definitely come back here i just need to save money. Hahahahah
Ippudo has always been a solid choice for ramen for me. I usually either go to Ippudo or Mendokoro for my ramen cravings. This particular branch though is close to my heart. I always eat here with my boyfriend when he gets out of class from law school in DLSU and when he's just famished we go here since it's pretty near. 🤗 I always order their Akamaru special. I'm not so keen on usually ordering something else because if I have a favorite I always stick to that. And this Akamaru special is definitely a favorite. I love how savory it is with the right amount of salt. I always order their pork bun too. It's just so good and it pairs perfectly with the ramen.
Aside from being known as a ramen house, Ippudo also offers food like Okonomiyaki, which you can eat with rice if you find it too salty. For me, it tasted so good even w/o rice. No wonder, almost every reviews recommend it.
Secondly, the beef ishiyaki which I ordered today, tasted so good too. esp. The sauce blended well with the beef, rice, corns, tomatoes and veggies. 👍🏻 Third picture is one of the ramen, which was good too. They served it in big bowls so it is a heavy meal already. You can choose if you want the noodles cooked Hard, medium or soft. Haha anyway, the ramen itself will satisfy your gastronomic delights.
4th is the torched salmon sushi roll which tasted good too.
The service is very satisfactory. They're helpful and nice. 👍🏻
ippudo offers no ordinary food and price haha so make a visit sometime. 😝

Amazing Ramen restaurant! The pricing is justified with a focused staff, servers who focuses on your needs and checks up on you and your food. Ramen arrives steaming hot and on time. If you're a Ramen fanatic like me, who appreciates thick, aggressive approach to broth then this is the place to be!
We had our dinner at this branch. It was my second time here too. It really amazed me that the ramen at Ippudo is very consistent...still very flavorful and tasteful just like what we had experienced at the Ippudo in Kyoto. We had the Shiro Special, Okonomiyaki and Tempura Roll. The staff was courteous and attentive. However there were some bugs that need to be address. Overall dining experience was all right.
So my good friend and I just had dinner here and i super enjoyed the food especially the pork bun! My friend was the one who decided to dine here. It was first time to eat here and i love it. The service is very good && the food is excellent. I LOVE THE PORK BUN! Sayang lang di pwede take out. Pang midnight snack sana. 👍🏻👍🏻
Just awesome ramen.
Ramen has always been my comfort food, and I'm really happy when trying it from different restaurants. A lot of competitors are coming out, but Ippudo remains one of those at the top. The excellence of the trained staff is really noticeable. From being seated, to taking our orders and responding to our requests, everything went smoothly. Kudos to this branch for giving such customer service.
-> Of course, I was expecting a hearty meal, and it didn't disappoint. I always prefer the original variant for each restaurant, and their 'Shiromaru Special - Shiromaru Tamago' is just so good. Can I just say that I want more, even if I'm already full? That's just how good it is. The tonkotsu broth is so flavorful. You can opt to have soft, medium, hard or very hard thin noodles depending on you preference. The pork belly and pork loin are so tender and just so good.
-> 'Akamaru Special - Chashu' are for those who prefer their ramen spicy. This is their best seller. The miso paste and garlic oil, goes really well with the broth. The pork belly slices are yummy, with the salted soft-boiled egg and seaweed giving more kick.
For a more complete experience, you can add some garlic which is available for each table. The place is spacious and not too bright, which adds to the ramen experience. The price is totally worth it, I'll keep coming back for more.
I tried their ramen in their first branch at megamall, and it was love at first sight. I’ve tried all the three origina flavors and they’re all sooooo good. But my favorite is Akamaru, not too spicy, and love the broth! I work at the office above uptown mall so it’s super accessible to me. Service is very good, your glass won’t run out of water! This is my all time fave ramen place.
Really good food - one of my favorite restaurants. Ramen has been a comfort food for me. Their nanban karaage is also perfect!
I just wish they could do something about the flies.

With the rainy season coming up, you can expect your Ramen cravings to attack you at full force. One of my go to places for awesome Ramen is of course, the world famous Ippudo. I'm no stranger to this place, having been there during the opening of their first branch at SM Fashion hall, and have returned numerous time since, especially when they have new dishes, and I most certainly was not going to miss out on a new Ramen that they claimed was "Boldly Meaty".. The Hakata Style Nikusoba!
First time at the Uptown branch and second time ay any Ippudo, we had a general idea of what to expect and were looking forward to a hearty dinner. The staff at this branch were super focused on achieving a customer service expectation of sorts including giving is the feedback form at the beginning of the meal.
To be fair, support and responsiveness was awesome from start to finish. We were seated quickly and the waitress made sure we understood the menu options and their available specials. All staff seemed to have been trained to use key phrases like "It's my pleasure" which was a nice effort.
The food in itself was a solid experience and yet still distinct from other Ramen places we've eaten at. We tried the it seasonal items and they were both nicely hearty bowls.
Definitely a dining experience worth repeating and a branch that deserves a lot of praise for the excellent staff training that has obviously taken place.
One of the best ramen place. The place is huge to accommodate families and groups. Great serving too. Our only concern were the mosquitoes due to the on-going constructions around the mall - as per their management.
I have only been in this place once but I could say that I will soon be back. Accomodating staff and nice place. Not to bright but not too dark. Perfect even if I am alone. Though food is a bit pricy, it is worth it.
Flavorful ramen - my comfort food. Gyoza is a must try as well. Place is nice. Staffs are accommodating and friendly. Price is acceptable. 🍜
Definitely the best Ramen in BGC. I can no longer count the times that I've been here but I keep on coming back. You get your money's worth on every sip and bite. Highly recommended.
My comfort ramen place. I tried their new sushi and was head on great!!! And the price was so competitive for the quality, indeed value for money. I am so glad they have an outlet here that makes me come back over and over again...
One of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve tried here in Manila. I’m really picky when it come to Ramen, but it was a delight when I got to try theirs! Indeed, it was a burst of creamy broth and flavorful spices inside my mouth. In addition, you get to pick your preference when it comes to the thickness and texture of your noodles. I tried their “medium” noodles, and it was just right for me.
You got to try their Torched Salmon sushi, the best I’ve tasted so far! It literally melts in your mouth. Their Pork okonomiyaki and tempura sushi were also part of their specialty and a must try!
The Overall ambiance of the restaurant is clean and spacious. Kudos to the crew for the fast service!
It’s quite expensive but I’ll definitely go back for those sushi and ramen cravings. Yum!
Stick to ordering their ramen selection specifically, the Shiromaru (add some garlic too) and you will never go wrong.
I tried the salmon roll but it was too mushy and their cabbage dish was too salty. What can I say? Ramen will always be tantamount to Ippudo. The broth is crave-worthy. Make sure to order the noodles "very hard" for perfect balance in texture.
Enjoyed Ippudo's world famous ramen once more!
On a particularly rainy day, my husband and I decided that it was ramen weather enough... We headed to Ippudo for late lunch... We were welcomed by their friendly crew. I went for my favorite Akamaru chasu while my hubby had their Shiromaru special. We were intrigued by their new ebi tempura roll... I believe it's a limited time offering, but we both enjoyed it! Packed with flavor and really filling, I urge you guys to try it! I can't say more about their Shiromaru ramen, since it's definitely one of my favorite bowls of ramen. Ever... Amazing taste and generous serving!😍
Service was fast and the staff were very nice. Bathroom was sticky and dirty though.
I had ippudo when I was in Nagano when I was in Japan last year, and it was amazing.
I went to ippudo here, and the ramen tasted as if it brought me back to that very same chair when I had my first taste of it.
No takeaways, but I guess that's okay.
For anyone who wants a ramen that is rich in flavor and the right kick of spice (I hope we have the same tolerance for spicy food), try this Ramen store and their Kara Kara Special
Napakasarap kumain dito!
Ippudo one of the best ramen in the metro. I have tried the 3 ramens in the menu. My favorite is the shiromaru ramen which i just add a hefty amount of spiced powder.
This is my go to place. A must try and you’ll definitely go back.
Staff are friendly to assist guest.
For desert highly recommended is the matcha creme brule that will leave you wanting for more.
Ramen was really good, but absolutely still not worth the price. The serving was really small. The eel was bland, and again, it was too small for its price.
I have been to the Ippudo BGC and near to my work place, which is the Megamall branch, and I can definitely say that, it is one of the best Japanese restaurant that offers splendid service and delightful food. Worth every penny, I’ve already tried their signature dishes from ramen, rice meal and their mouth watering dessert. We’ll definitely go back and make sure to try all the food on their menu.
Very good ramen. Not as rich as what I’m used to. Like that I can add as much sesame seeds as I want. Buns are good. Service is great. But the flies are a big issue for me for most restaurants in Uptown.
This is now my new favorite Ramen. Broth is very rich in flavor. Both Shiromaru and Akamaru. And this is the only ramen that I truly appreciated and enjoyed the noodles itself. The server suggested the very hard ones and it didn't disappoint me at all. It was so light and i really loved the texture and taste of the noodle.
We also ordered their spicy tuna roll and pork bun. Both were delicious but maybe next time i'll order gyoza and okonomiyaki.
Ambience was so beautiful. All the servers are very accommodating as in very maasikaso :) even if we were first timers. So i give this place a perfect Five!
I would love to go back again here. If it's just near to my place, it will be tomorrow haha!
original tonkotsu ramen -
richness of flavor - 4/5
the broth was very rich yet it wasnt oily
hardness of noodles 5/5
i asked for hard noodles and the noodles were firm and the perfect hardness for me
ramen as a whole - 4/5
all the flavors blended well together and it had enough pork and noodles
ambience 3/5
it is spacious and the seats were nice, thought it is a bit hot and i saw some spills of sauce on the floor that wasnt cleaned.
overall - 4/5
kinda disappointed that the spicy tuna maki wasnt available when i ordered it but its a reason for me to come back next time ((:
Nice place. Very friendly staff. The ramen is so flavorful and rich. The experience was great so I'll definitely go back to try other items on the menu :)
I've been to Ippudo several times but in Megamall branch. This will be my first time to dine at Ippudo Uptown Mall branch.
The place is located at the ground level of the mall. You will never missed this place 'coz of the big signage was very visible when you passed by at the 9th Avenue.
I got Karaka Special Ramen for Php495.00. It is Ippudo's original Tonkatsu broth, served with thin wavy noodles, pork belly slices, salted soft-boiled egg, seaweed, and spring onions. Topped with special spicy minced meat in miso paste and fragrant garlic oil.
Overall, I agree with Ippudo's tagline the "famous ramen in the world" 'coz they served one of the best ramen in the country. The Karaka Special had a spicy broth flavor but tolerable. It's so good!
#ilovetoeatph 😃❤️
Had my weekend lunch here, nice branch tho I like the size ,lighting and interiors of the one in Mega, which is more authentic and intimate and evocative of my visits in Northeast Asia.
Ordered my favorites Tantanmen ,torched salmon roll and the shrimp okonomiyaki.Tantanmen was still a bomb hope they will stick to that flavor and won't adjust it to local palate, authentic is still the best. The okonomiyaki was very good love the right flavors ,especially the presence of the squid bits in it and the shrimps as crowning glory for it.Still love the visually enticing and umami laden torched salmon roll.
Overall nice experience ,very good service.Still a favorite Japanese place.
Their Tantanmen is good. Spiciness or hotness level is 3 out of 5. Lucky Me's Hot & Spicy Pancit Canton is way hotter (I always use this as benchmark because this is my spice threshold haha). I ordered medium for the doneness of the noodles. It was just right--it had a bite to it, held itself well in contrast to the thick broth. Speaking of broth, it was rich and flavorful but too salty for my taste. I found myself looking for extra creaminess. I loved the extra raw onion but disliked their poached egg (not too happy with how it was cooked). Their chashu also was too tough. I would prefer it to almost melt in my mouth. Mendokoro's Tantanmen is still my number 1. Other things I loved about it were the restaurant's ambiance and their service staff who were attentive, polite, and knowledgeable.
