Cool place that serves excellent coffee, shakes, smoothie bowls, pizza, fried chicken & waffles! It's a place for everyone - whether it's for a family meal, catch up with the girlfriends / barkada, or some alone time :) Come check it out!
Their salted egg pancakes and truffle pasta are the best!
Looooove the Southern Fried Chicken with Waffles! The chicken was flavorful inside and out (big cuts as well), and the waffles! Oh gahd the waffles! It was crunchy but fluffy inside, goes perfectly with the cinnamon maple syrup. I'd definitely come back!
Excellent food! I especially love their Southern-style Fried Chicken and Raclette with marinara dip. Sooo good! Makes me hungry now. It's a must go place.
I love their southern fried chicken with waffles and mac and cheese on the side! Their coffee is the best!!!
While I was walking around BGC, I saw this unfamiliar place in a very familiar place which is Burgos Circle.
Anyway, I got attracted with the neon sign "COFFEE" so I immediately went inside and checked their menu.
Ambiance - 4.0/4.0
For me the interiors are pretty much artistic and follows a color palette which is very enticing in my eyes. The magazines are pretty much updated and very informative.
Service - 5.0/5.0
The staff (I think she is the manager) is really accommodating and entertaining too. She even encouraged me to leave an artwork which I appreciate.
Food - 3.5/5.0
I tried their Adobo Flakes Bowl and I was pretty surprised with how the egg was done. It was pretty different and unique. I suggest that they make the Adobo Flakes more chewy. Overall the serving is really overwhelming. I was not able to finish the garlic rice which has a perfect balance of garlicky and oilyness
Went here for brunch and got curious with their Adobo flakes neighborhood bowl. Serving size ok though the flakes could be a bit more. Flakes on the bland side so the vinegar sauce was a must and saved the dish.
Enjoyed their coffee better (got their long black).
Cozy comfortable ambience and friendly crew. Service was fast.
Fun, clean, simple
Good food
I love coming here after working out since it’s just below AF Burgos Circle
Plus they have a really cool not so hidden hidden bar on their upper floor
Visited this place with a friend looking for a take out coffee. We actually ended up staying in the coffee shop for bfast. The coffee is great. We had a capuccino and iced mocha. The food is good too. Loved the scrambled eggs with the green peppers. They also serve home-made hash browns. The shop is very homey too. Their staff is very nice and accommodating. No issues on my side. Will defintely drop by again.
Went here on a slow rainy Tuesday. Tried their Peanut butter bomb and it was good! Mint cucumber taste legit! Good customer service. Will be back again.

A and I visited here after my speaking event yesterday. 💕
FOOD:
We’re still full from Marugame Udon, so we decided to chill here.
💖 Iced Cappuccino was really good. Make sure to ask for a sweetener (if you’re on Keto) or just bring your own.
💖 Strawberry and Banana was filling and mild. Gentle for digestion. :)
SERVICE:
😅 Please fix the bathroom door - unless you want your customers to get shocked.
💖 Accommodating and efficient staff with prompt service.
AMBIANCE:
💖 It was a Sunday afternoon and we enjoyed the place as there were only a couple of people staying here. Yay for introverts! ⭐️
😓 WiFi was disappointingly slow. I waited for my email to load for 15 (15!) seconds. Please improve on this.

Am completely puzzled what’s with the bad reviews. I even took the time to read everything off. I guess am just pretty lucky that during my time of visit there’s just me and the couple who’s a few tables away from me. Service was great. Greeted me nicely, offered water and adviced that my order may take some time to complete.
So while I was waiting, I took a couple of shots of its interior. A really cool vibe I must say. It didn’t take that long too and all I remember was how good their Chicken and Waffle is. It was soooooo good I completely forgot I was in a hurry to meet my mom. Their cafe mocha is suprisingly strong. So beware lol.
So overall, it’s a very nice place. Quietly tucked in Burgos Circle and has good food. 💕
This one right here is added to my go-to chill place. My first time here was last December. Finally had the urge to catch a gig of Leanne and Naara (my favorite indie artists).
The ambience tolerates their music choice as well. Coffee beverage options is good as I'm a fan of espressos. The food pricing for groups if you're targetting a decent budget.
Frank and Dean is my favorite breakfast place in Burgos Circle. Chicken and waffles for a little over 200 bucks is a winner, and the coffee ain't half bad!

I was just walking around Burgos Circle, looking for a restaurant that I haven't tried before. So I went here, and good thing I checked their zomato page to see what to order. So I settled for a 2 piece chicken with rice. The chicken skin is pretty hard but the chicken meat is really tasteful. I just wish they will add mashed potato as one of the sides of the chicken. The service and the ambiance was excellent. I love the vibe of the restaurant.
Visited Frank and Dean's with 2 of my friends. They recommend the place because one of my friend is lactose intolerant so she has difficulty finding her hangout coffee shop and luckily they found this place. They do serve breakfast and pasta but haven't tried it yet, but for the coffee I can say it really can compete with big brands. What I want as a coffee lover is that it should match the great coffee served by its ambiance. So it did! I'm excited to visit the place soon! 4/5 ☕☕☕☕
I ordered chicken zing salad. One order is actually good for one person if it'll be your main meal. The chicken bits were tasty. But I was confused with the sauce. It has a bit of mayo that couldn't cover the entire salad, and a meager of some dressing that I only noticed when I saw a bit of it on the leaf. The salad was dry.
Frank and dean offers wide range of breakfast meals perfect for their coffee.
The place is perfect for lunch meetings, coffee break and if you're just simply looking for a place with good food.
We ordered their Truffle cream pasta (P250) Chicken Zing Salad (P330) Truffle scrambled egg (P280) and Frank and Dean breakfast sandwich (P190)
All of the meals ate good for sharing. And i loved all of it! Specially the burger. Its just hot omelette and onion glazed but my god! Me and my boyfriend liked it a looooot i swear! You also must try their greens super crunchy and comes with chicken bits that so peppery good!
Their staff also accommodated us with all we need from water refill, menu inquiries and even a port so we can charge our phone. Super homey and plays good music. This is definitely one of my fave restau in BGC.
I'm a bit confused on the identity of this resto. It has a fancy name but the interior and the menu seem to have a casual vibe. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich (I wish they had more options on their menu) and flat white. It was okay, nothing exceptional. Their coffee also had too much milk in it. On a positive note, service was good. The waiters were attentive enough.
Good food and equally good ambiance. Loved the pizza, portions were good. Other items looked appealing along with a wide range of beverages.
PLACE:
Very spacious and interiors are quite nice.
FOOD:
Truffle Pasta: This is the simplest looking paste I've ever had yet it's definitely the most mouth-watering one. By the time the pasta was served, I can immediately smell how good it is. This is so simple but the taste is sooo divine (thanks to truffle)
Paprika Fries: This is definitely one of my favorite fries. Super yummy and crispy.
Chocolate Cake: Cake was sooooooo dry (ang tigas pa 🙁)
PRICE:
Good value for money (except for the cake)
SERVICE:
Friendly and accommodating staff.
VERDICT:
Did I enjoy it? - Yes (except the cake)
Will I recommend it? - Yes (but No for their cakes)
Will I come back? - Yes but not for the cake.
P.S. I super love Frank and Dean's dishes but their chocolate cake during my last visit was really awful.
It was dinner but I was badly craving for breakfast food, so I dragged Norman | The Travelling Tongue here at Frank & Dean. We've been here before when they first opened and this would be our second visit. I remembered feeling "meh" about their food and coffee so this would be a good chance to check out if something changed. 👍🏻
I've always loved their retro vibe, it's a fun and casual ambiance. Also loved the neon "COFFEE" sign they added, makes for a good IG photo!
We had the following:
🥞 Salted Egg Pancakes (P250)
2 pieces of pancakes with bits of salted eggs in it and comes with butter and maple syrup. This was actually good. I'm all for the salted egg hype so I really enjoyed this one. The pancakes were soft and fluffy, I liked the contrasting flavors of sweet and salty.
🥞 Chicken & Waffles (P270)
Southern-style fried chicken with a piece of waffle and homemade gravy. The chicken was nicely done, savory and tender. But the waffles were a little bland and their homemade gravy was weird-tasting. 😐
🥞 Iced Cappucino (P160) & Iced Mocha Latte (P190)
Their coffee was just okay. It was strong and bold. But it wouldn't be my go-to coffee for my daily caffeine fix.
Overall, nice ambiance and good service but food and coffee is still meh. And it's a tad too expensive. But it's worth a try in my opinion if you still haven't been there. Peace out! ✌🏻
Frank & Dean Review:
Ambiance:7/10 Great location and design. The only thing that i dont like is you can smell the cigarete smoke inside. 😭
Food: 7/10, food is expensive but it taste good. 👌
Service: 6/10, they lack people. 😭
Tip: there is a secret bar upstairs that you cant rent for your party.. 😁
FOOD
.:Southern Fried Chicken with Waffle:.
Big cut of chicken breast (you can choose your cut) with F&D breading, homemade gravy, waffle (can be mac n cheese/rice/doughnuts), and maple syrup.
So sorry as I can't figure out how to show how big this is. 😂 Chicken's juicy and somewhat crispy, perfect with the thick homemade gravy with peppercorns. Waffle's crispy yet tender inside, and since it's not sweet, it goes perfectly well with the syrup. 😋
LOCATION
Very cozy and plus points for having wifi and sockets. 😊 Will be on my list next time I can't take extending work in the office anymore. 😑
I don't smoke but since there are limited spots in BGC where you can dine and smoke, be advised that they have a smoking area on the 2F. 😉
SERVICE
Lovely staff and very attentive. I was prepared to wait for 20 mins for my order (it's noted in the menu) but got mine in less than 20. 🎉
I had cream of squash and truffle eggs with hash and bacon. The presentation is no non-sense, just straight up food on your plate. The cream of squash was tasty and had the right amount of thickness. It was a bit tricky though because it came in a big, deep bowl but the soup is just about a fourth of it. The truffle scrambled eggs were tasty, same comment about the hash. The bacon strips were quite dry and hard though and lacked a bit of smokiness.
The staff were really nice and friendly. Will definitely come back.
We chose to have our meeting in Frank & Dean the other day. We had their bestseller, the Fried Chicken with Waffles and the Truffle Cream Pasta for lunch. We liked how the waffles tasted crisp yet chewy inside. The chicken was well seasoned and juicy. Though the pasta was not something that we would order again. The Cucumber Mint smoothie was refreshing but it lacked taste. I suggest that you order a fruit based smoothie or one of their frankiccinos instead. If you feel like eating something healthy, try their refreshing smoothie bowl!
After eating lunch, we started with our meeting. We loved the cozy atmosphere of the cafe. The service was great. They had the initiative to offer us an extension cord in case we needed to charge our laptops.
The chicken served here is good. The thin crust margharita pizza is yummy and tasty. The WiFi is ok and the option to plug your gadgets is available. This is one of the best places for open mics and to listen to featured bands. I love the community atmosphere here. I loved World 🌍 Extravaganza community when they used to have weekly open mic sessions there.
Brunch at BGC on a weekday... it's always a struggle to look for a perfect place to chill due to limited ones that open early. The place offers a nice light ambiance that's great for a nice morning get together with friends or loved ones. The place is a bit secluded so you won't have to get distracted by people walking around or cars driving by.
Food was nice, proportion was decent for the price. We ordered Frank's House Omelette, Breakfast Plate and Peanut Buttet Smoothie. It was good. I just wished I specifically mentioned not to overcook my omelette, it still tasted good. The smoothie was perfect. Staff were attentive and friendly. Clean area. Fast service.
Not sure how the place is for the rest of the day, but for a low key, relaxing breakfast or brunch, it's perfect. ♡

You can't go wrong with Chicken and Waffles!
Product: We tried their Southern Friend Chicken paired with Waffles and Mac & Cheese. For drinks we had a glass of hot chocolate and Choco Cream Frankiccino.
The chicken is really big! You get what you paid for, I can definitely vouch for that. The chicken's skin was too salty for my taste but once you get inside, the tenderness of the chicken, is so appealing. You will still see the smoke appear as you tear into it, so be careful not to rush in eating it. The waffles were a great partner for the chicken. It wasn't sweet, it actually tasted a bit more savory than usual. I'm gonna take a guess here and say that there was a little bit of the chicken oil mixed with it but I can't be too sure, all I know is, it wasn't as sweet as I expected or compared to the ones I had before and that can be a good thing especially if the people who will order aren't fond of the sweet and savory flavor that the pair chicken and waffle gives but the syrup definitely helps bring out the sweetness. The mac and cheese looked gorgeous. It looked so creamy, cheesy, and milky. You'd want to dive right in. And dive in we did, after taking the pictures of course. Here is another perfect combination for the chicken.
The hot chocolate wasn't a famous hot chocolate mix, and I love that. Most restaurants where I ordered hot chocolate, they just put that famous hot choco mix and rise up the price. This is definitely their own mix, although there isn't much that makes it stand out, I still loved that they do it on their own.
The frankiccino is a must have! Oh, wow. It was really good. It was sweet and creamy and chocolate-y in the best way possible. This is the one I enjoyed the most out of all the things we ordered, and that says a lot because I liked everything. If you love your chocolate drink, this is the one to get.
Venue: I love the ambience of this place. It had a modern feel into it, it would be such a great place to hangout with your friends. The servers are very attentive and so friendly, they actually ask us about what we're doing or how we're doing or how we're liking the food. You don't find much restaurants that have that. I like it.
There's so much to try in here, I could definitely see myself coming back.
Enjoyed 1 piece chicken with Waffles which is 270php. However if you dont like greasy food, i recommend you not to order this and order other food 😁
Food here at Frank & Dean is a tad bit expensive. Nonetheless, my friend and I decided to get a truffle cream pasta for sharing, an iced latté for me, and a strawberry cream frankiccino for her. We both liked the pasta but our drinks were... ok. Nothing special about it. I felt somewhat shortchanged with the iced latté that I ordered, because it was served in a small glass only.
The truffle cream pasta really was the saving grace from our trip to this café. I'd still come back to try their other food, though.
This is a hidden gem located anong the busy street of Burgos Circle. The interiors and overall mood of the place is good. It gives you a chill kinda vibes which is a great thing when you are dining. We ordered Chicken and waffles and a frappucino. The chicken was tender and flavorful that tasted like Bad Bird's umami chicken. The waffle was great and should be eaten while it's still warm. The serving time took too long so that really gave me a disappointment but maybe i was just so hungry at that time 😂Will definitely come back to this place
Definitely going back! Their hash is everything! Plus they play a lot of good songs! I never expected that they'll play Lewis Watson and I was so excited that morning!
Tip: Go here early in the morning if you want to enjoy the serenity of the cafe alone.
My Sunday brunch led me to this place in the Burgos Circle area after I did some real estate viewings in the morning. This cafe offers some decent all day breakfast food and coffee to perk up your morning. It is a place for that much needed privacy although their mango smoothie was a bit pricier and something any one can do. Their breakfast was on the high end but thankfully the crispy bacon made up for it as their hashbrown was not so much to my delight.
A morning stroll at BGC led me to stay Frank and Dean. It is on the quiet corner of Burgos Circle in Forbestown Road.
It is a great place for caffeine fix and comfort food. The original Southern fried chicken is something to love about this brunch spot. You can pair chicken with Waffles, Mac n Cheese, Rice, and I got mine with 2 Old Fashion Doughnuts. Plate of chicken and doughnuts is priced at P250 matched with sip of long black coffee for P120. Frank and Dean tied up with Yardstick for coffee.
There’s a secret door that will lead you to somewhere else. Hidden inside a telephone booth at the 2nd floor is a speakeasy bar. Music and drinks is what you’ll find at Ocean’s Telephone Company. The bar open from Thursdays to Saturdays from 7:00pm to 3:00am.
Frank and Dean is open from 7:00am til 12midnight.
Frank & Dean sits quietly at Burgos Circle, serving all day breakfast, pasta and other entrees. As it falls deeper into the night this family restaurant installs a band that you could watch, enjoy, and jam with. We were lucky to catch Grass Roots and enjoy the beautiful music. We also noticed several people coming up the stairs, so mustering enough curiosity and sleuthing powers we climbed up and entered a different realm. The 2nd floor of Frank & Dean was a balcony for smokers and drinkers called Tropic and further down the small hallway, behind an inconspicuous door with an old school red public phone was OTC. We peaked inside the dark room which revealed a bar and saw some people dancing. My friends and I were not in the mood for this so we headed down back to Frank & Dean where we had Truffle Pasta and Salmon Roesti. Price per head is at 500 - 1000 pesos.
Can't give a proper rating as I only ordered a mango smoothie while waiting for a friend. The drink itself wasn't sweet, which made it taste more natural. Servers were nice and attentive, but when my friend arrived later on and ordered the same drink, it took them a while to get back to us and say that there were no more fresh mangoes in stock. Kinda sucky to run out of fruits so soon on a Saturday afternoon, considering the place also wasn't packed.
I thought this'd be a straight up coffee shop but it also serves alcohol! Not what I was expecting but a good idea if you and your friends are split between wanting to have coffee or alcohol, lol.
This also has live music, I don't know if it's only every Friday! It's pretty chill, and has dinner options too.
I got the choco cream frankiccino, while my friend got the cappuccino. And as if we weren't full enough, we got beignets and a slice of chocolate ganache cake. The beignets are ok - they're good while they're hot but become pretty chewy after they've cooled (maybe because it came from the display cabinet and was just heated up?). Chocolate ganache cake was ok too.
It's a good place to hang out, especially on a Friday night, since it's pretty lively and has a steady stream of people coming and going. The only downside I'd say is that there was an odd smell when we first came in. "Smells like floor," was what my friend said.
That said, this is a good choice to hang out with friends after dinner and want to unwind :)
I love how Frank & Dean made comfort food in its simplest form.
No fuzz, hefty serving and awesome service also. Their Paprika Fries was a hit!
Totally satisfied with their food selection. Place has this homey feel that's makes you comfortable combine it with their food, HOMEY. Thumbs up!
It was a rainy evening and i was in the mood for some caffein and appetizers before Locavore. Dropped by this place and ordered me some southern fried chicken with old fashioned doughnuts. For the caffein craving I ordered a mocha frankiccino. Don't bother with the drink I ordered. Its too basic in my opinion. Also it had that slush vibe where you sip all that flavor immediately with lots of ice left molded together in your cup. I'm not sure how this happened. Probably not blended well? That's a problem. I enjoyed my meal though. Loved the contrast of the sweet doughnuts and the fried chicken. So good.
Went here for @jimbooooowww zine. The staffs are accommodating and very nice. The ambience was good, i love the scent of coffee as well as the dim lighting. Drinks were good, for goodness sake it doesnt taste starbucks haha
This is a place of comfort for people who are into continental cuisine and good coffee. Portion sizes vary--some are good for sharing, others are only good for one person. They serve alcoholic beverages too for a perfect way to cap the day.
My first visit here at Frank ad Dean was by recommendation of a friend. We came in at around 830PM on a Saturday night and the ground floor is almost full of people. We decided to go to their second floor which is an alfresco dining area.
On my first visit I had their Southern Fried Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese and their Margherita Pizza. I really didn't liked their Southern Fried Chicken at the time so when I got the invite from Zomato, I decided to join in.
We had their Waffle, Fried Chicken (yey), their pizza, coffee and some donuts. I really liked their chicken this time around. It was tasty and I actually liked it that my first try. For more details, please check my blog.
My personal rating for the restaurant:
Food: 4.0
Service:-
Place: 4.0
Happy Eating,
Foodie Day Out
Frank & Dean is a restaurant in located at the Ground Floor of Forbes Town Centre Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City. The restaurant name was hailed from music icon Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. The place offers a very simple interior with brick and wood details. Known for their southern fried chicken, breakfast dishes, coffee and pizza.
After our group's quick trip at Tipsy Pig, we went to Frank and Dean which was just above Tipsy Pig. Quite full already after eating/drinking at Tipsy Pig, our group ordered their buttermilk fried chicken and a couple of beers. Salute to this pub as this is probably one of the few that serves Blue Moon which is my favorite! Place is nice though their dining area didn't felt like it was a pub though their balcony is nice though.
Frank & Dean is tucked away in a corner, out of sight from the more popular restaurants that are actually near the rotund in Burgos Circle. It has that relaxed ambiance, nothing felt rushed considering the foodie meetup was held at lunch time. It doesn't have that intimidating vibe that I feel with some upscale restos and cafes (IDK if that's just me or what). It's contemporary and cool.
The same people behind the crowd favorite, Pablo's Pub & Restaurant were also the ones responsible for opening Frank & Dean. If Pablo's was named after Pablo Escobar, this 'cafe x kitchen' was named after Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, two of the most influential music icons back in the day.
I love the industrial chic, semi-rustic theme of the cafe. Brick walls? Check. Steel materials? Check. Wooden fixtures? Check. It also had some hints of vintage because of the retro knickknacks all around: a vinyl player, chalkboards and walls that double as mood boards. The wooden pallets and metal caging of sorts that held the lights were a great touch! The way the natural light enters the cafe was also perfect for, of course, Instagram-ming their equally picture perfect food.
For this Zomato meet-up, the grub that they chose to serve us were items that make them different from other coffee shops and restaurants around the metro; they offer three things that most of us look for in a menu: coffee, chicken and pizza. You can stay come here for the Yardstick coffee (yes, they partnered with Yardstick for all your coffee needs), and maybe if in the long run you need to stay longer, you can order their chicken and/or pizza for lunch or dinner so you don't have to go to another place.
I was impressed by their Southern Fried Chicken with Waffles because of the salty-sweet flavors complementing each other. I've always thought that crispy fried chicken is always best paired with rice but this works just as well! The chicken was juicy and flavorful; the skin, crispy and tasty to the last bite. This has been FxD's signature dish but you can opt to have instead doughnuts, mac n’ cheese or the good ol' rice. The waffles had that crunchy exterior but light and airy inside. Don't forget to drizzle the maple syrup all over to intensify it's and the chicken's flavosr. I found this really good and I will definitely come back for this.
I found their pizza moderately well. Maybe it's because the pizza turned cold with all the photo-taking we did. Hahaha. #bloggerproblems Flavor-wise, it's not as delectable and tasty as I'd hoped. Maybe I'm looking for the comfort that a greasy pizza brings.
These bite-sized doughnuts are what we had for dessert, which were served warm, that went perfect with my F&D Basic Cold Brew. And because I like my coffee on the sweet side (to the point it's almost not coffee anymore hahaha), I asked for sweeteners and milk. Perfect!
Frank & Dean also serves liquor and cocktails for those evening hangout with friends. Proceed to their second floor to see their small bar and al fresco tables if you prefer feeling the night breeze.
There's this red wooden door that's peculiarly placed beside the mini bar and you'll discover that it's a telephone booth with 5 vintage phones in it. Lift the right handset and you might find a secret passageway and be transported to a concealed watering hole perfect for a late night to early morning of cocktails and spirits with your squad.
Overall, eventhough Frank & Dean screams hipster vibes, their food is uncomplicated, unpretentious and effortless -- some of the comfort food classics that's we all love. They have all-day breakfast, pasta, salads, soups, mains, sandwiches, coffee, wine, beer, non-alcoholic drinks, and even a secret space that can make you stay here from sun up to sun down until the sun rises again!
(Date of visit: March 16, 2016 / Zomato foodie meetup)
Fried Chicken, Coffee and Pizza are the things Frank x Dean is known for. But there’s more to this café than meets the eye. Though it opened last July 2014, Frank x Dean is a fairly new place in the BGC Burgos Circle area. Its location is both a blessing and a setback. A setbackbecause it’s hard to spot since it’s tucked away in a not so busy area of BGC that you need to look up its location first before you can find it. It’s a blessing because if you want a cozy and quiet place to have coffee, breakfast and a somewhere you can do your work outside an office setting, especially in the morning, Frank and Dean is one of the best places in BGC where you can do that.
Frank & Dean gives you the casual dining place and cafe ambiance in the morning, and a diner and bar ambiance by night. The creative design of the place is very modern. The menu is pretty extensive. They serve all-day breakfast meals, pastas, pizza, coffee, wines, beers, etc.
We were invited for lunch foodie meetup by Zomato and Frank & Dean. They served us their Southern Fried Chicken with waffles, 3 pizzas-Margherita, All Meat, and Pepperoni, and Coffee.
Southern Fried Chicken is strongly flavored. Their waffles are cooked in waffle pans with oil which gives it the fried taste. The waffle in maple syrup may not be the best but it goes well with the chicken with gravy. Out of the three pizzas, what I liked best was Margherita. I like the right salty taste for this piece. All meat pizza was good, too. The meat is evenly distributed on the pizza. Pepperoni goes last amongst the three. The pepperoni on the pizza could be improved a little. We were asked how we would like our coffee. I had it cold brew. Their coffee was served without sugar. It was served plain with a separate container for the syrup. You can also ask for milk if you like.
Overall, it was a good experience. Food is great and I'm going to visit again for the all-day breakfast. Thanks again to Zomato and Frank & Dean for inviting us.
Named after Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, Frank & Dean first opened its doors in July 2015 in Burgos Park, BGC. It’s an All Day Breakfast cafe, but the second floor hides a speakeasy bar called Ocean’s Telephone Company whose entrance lies behind a telephone booth. (For Table Reservations: Consumable PHP 10k per table on Fridays and Saturdays, but are free on weekdays.)
This is my go to place whenever I crave Southern style chicken and waffles. The place is very homey, especially the retro couch. I ordered 2 pc chicken and waffles, it's good for sharing too. I like their maple syrup best and you can always ask for more (which is a yes for me since I am not really a gravy fan). I suggest sharing the 2pc chicken and waffles, you can even ask the staff to split it. I like looking at the post cards and just about everything posted in their cork boards. It's a very hip place with interesting pieces like the industrial lamps and light up COFFEE sign.
Frank & Dean was an inspiration from the veteran artists, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Just like the variety of the artists mentioned, this restaurant have it all under one roof. At morning, it can be your hearty, booster breakfast while at lunch you can have all that comfy, quick bite food and when evening strikes, this could be the perfect, cozy place for your chill out nights, party drinkers. Yey! It transforms into a cool bar at the 2nd floor named as Ocean's Telephone Company and can cater for different kinds of occasion, be it a simple reunion and get together with your peers to special events like Christmas Party.
I had the opportunity to be invited for a lunch and also my first official meet up with fellow Zomato foodies. We ate one of their signature lunch dish, the Southern Fried Chicken. It was served with waffles on the side. Who says that waffles are only for breakfasts and snacks? Sounds new right? I also heard that you can opt to pair it with other sides of your choice like rice and glazed donuts. While tasting the chicken, I love its crunchiness, tender enough to make you crave for that best chicken quality. However, the taste was a bit too salty, maybe this is the reason why it was served with waffles, to balance the saltiness and sweetness. For a new classy and vibrant restaurant like this, I would expect a more savory and mouth watering chicken dish as we all know chicken is almost found in every resto, competition for the best chicken dish is very tough so it must be luscious in its own way. The waffles were enticing enough. It's not too sweet that's why you would love to drip all over the maple syrup for your sweeth tooth satisfaction with worry free of being too sweet. On the other hand, the appearance of the waffle made it looked like it was a bit overcooked as it is brownish. Nevertheless, this had a little effect on the overall taste though it's already a bit toasted.
We also tried their different pizzas. The first is the Margahrita Pizza which is perfect in its simplest form. True enough, less is more. The other two were the All Meat and Peperoni Pizzas. They were all delicious, not too salty but taste just like the other pizzas in other stores so its not like you can crave for a second order. I just wished also that the crust will be thinner and a bit more toasted (sorry, I am fond of thin crust so this is more of a personal preference) but it left me confused as it's like it is in the fine line between thick or thin crust. Nonetheless, I still love the taste as it won't make you feel bloated enough unlike other pizzas that were too oily and the dough not done well that you don't get to appreciate the whole flavors because you will be firstly overwhelmed.
We had also as a compliment, their own F & D Basic Brew. It was a really natural brewed coffee that you can't have it all without adding sugar and milk depending on your preference.
I must say this is a wow factor as this is the right way a brewed coffee must be prepared. All natural without the artificial flavors.
Overall, this restaurant is a great hang out place especially for corporate people who would love to have a relaxing and serene atmosphere. The ambience was great enough that it was even tagged as one of Instagram perfect shots.
Cafe x Food x Bar, Frank & Dean is another diverse type of restaurant which caters a lot of individuals with different needs. By day, people looking for a peaceful place to work, study or wanting to have an alone time can enjoy their All Day Breakfast, which comes with free basic brew coffee (7am – 10am). Come lunchtime, Pizza, Pasta, and Mains await you. Don’t forget to try their best seller, the Southern Fried Chicken which comes with different sides, depending on your mood. You can have it with Waffles, Rice, Mac ‘n Cheese and Glazed Doughnuts. During our visit, we have it with waffles. I find the chicken too salty and soon after realized, as mentioned by my co-foodie, that’s why they served it with the waffle and honey to balance the flavor. However, I think it’s better if we can enjoy the chicken itself with its rich umami flavor. Moving on, there are still lots of mains to try in Frank & Dean such as Pan Seared Salmon, Baby Back Ribs and Steak. Besides from their best seller Southern Fried Chicken, we were served with 3 types of pizza namely Margherita, Pepperoni and All Meat. My personal favorite was the All Meat since it’s flavorful and delicious already without having to add any chili flakes or hot sauce on top of it. For some who’s too busy to visit here during lunchtime, you can always dine here during dinner and even enjoy their club located at the second floor. Spirits, wine and beers are always available. Upon checking on the club, it’s good for intimate celebrations with friends and colleagues. I’m guessing it’s not the type of bar wherein it’s too crowd-y and people are lurking everywhere. Overall, there's still a lot of items in the menu to try for Frank & Dean. Definitely coming back! :)
This is a different creature at different times of day. At night, it's a cozy nightcap spot, an easy walk from Tipsy Pig and Wagyu, while during the day it's a good place for an easygoing lunch. Go upstairs, and you will find the entrance to Ocean's Telephone Company, a dark, smoky speakeasy with tufted chairs, whisky and cocktails, and jazzy music.
My friend and I visited for lunch and ordered a Caesar salad, which the staff nicely offered to split in two plates, a one-piece chicken order with doughnuts, fish and chips with paprika fries.
This is not complicated food, but its was cooked and arranged attractively. The fries were a nice touch, while the breading on the fish, cut into strips too thinly, was not the greatest. I thought the chicken was okay, but the doughnuts were heavy; this duo might work, but felt a little gimmicky and overpriced to me.
Ambience makes up for those little things; we had cool drinks to accompany our meal (iced chocolate, iced coffee), while room temperature and the volume of music were just right to engage in lengthy conversation.
Fun place to be; the food is what it is.
It's Pancake & Waffles Day!!! I would happily eat waffles daily (Frank & Dean is one of my favourite restaurants these days, love both sweet & savoury) and so I thought I'd talk about a restaurant I went to recently that serves them!
Frank & Dean offers more than an interesting and delicious dessert list and those can’t-get-enough-of-them luscious fried chicken. They also offer pastas. And it’s good. Really good. Roll up on a Saturday or Sunday for three gently poached eggs floating like little protein islands in a light hollandaise dressing, with fresh sweet bacons, chestnut mushrooms and a pile of golden toasted grains for crunch. Break the eggs open to enrich the broth for instant breakfast soup. The intensity of F&D's licorice bread is such that you can smell it three tables over.
Breakfast at Frank & Dean's isn’t cheap, but then a morning meal in BGC rarely means getting away for less than a thousand bucks once you’ve factored in coffee, juice and an extra serve of brioche eggs – let alone a little sneaky breakfast dessert. Love to hate it or love to love it, F&D continues to deliver a level of food and service most cafés aspire to.
Another good bar in BGC!
We had the Frozen Mudslide (a milkshake with Kahlua, Bailey's and Absolut) and excellent whiskey sour.
For chow we had the squash soup, which is super thick and comforting, though a bit too salty. And the All Meat Pizza. The pizza took a while coming, but tasted great.
There's a hidden speakeasy inside Frank & Dean behind the telephone booth! But we left that for exploration another day!
I've been to Frank & Dean thrice and my default order is the Southern Fried Chicken with Waffles. Always for sharing, of course. I'm a big pepperoni pizza fan and I enjoyed their version of it. Coffee has a good kick as well. I am just not fond of their service. In my last two visits, I had to wait for "forever" until the food arrived. We had to make follow-ups. And there weren't many people in the place to begin with. Bad service ruins good food experience. I hope they ramp it up.
FRANK AND DEAN | GF Forbes Town Center
Southern F&D Chicken x Mac n' Cheese x Glazed Doughnuts. For the best tasting Fried Chicken & Donato-s at Fort. It can be pricey for the size but u don't wanna miss this. 👍
Price Range: 280-600 PHP
(Get their coffee too)
Great coffee! Their brewed coffee is good on its own. For those who don't want it hot, they have Yardstick's cold brew coffee available, too. Check upstairs for a not-so-secret "speakeasy" ;)
Good food, excellent customer service!!!!!!!!!! 😉👌🏼The servers are very accommodating. One of the many reasons I keep coming back. Try the southern chicken, pesto pasta and tuna melt pesto! 🙏🏼
Frank & Dean Cafe x Kitchen is a new specialty cafe in Bonifacio Global City that serves a tasty cup of coffee during the day and transforms into a cool, vibrant bar at night. They also serve some really good western brunch platters - albeit a bit expensive. I love the vibrant interiors of Frank & Dean. It feels like a great place to have a nice brunch or to unwind after a long day's work.
I've tried what Frank & Dean has to offer and here's what you can expect from Frank & Dean.
Tried the Southern Fried Chicken and Waffles. Pretty good, though I wouldn't go back for it. Also, it's pretty expensive at P420. The fried chicken isn't as great as I though it would be, and the waffle tastes fairly plain.
Food is pricey and in small serving ... I mistakenly asked the waiter if the mac n cheese was for us ( bec we ordered a full plate what he was serving looks like for a side dish) to my surprise this was the full plate - its about the size of my palm.
Aside from that i actually find the food satisfying and delicious.
Good place to study or work. I like the coffee selection. Their Southern Fried Chicken tasted good but their Mac 'n Cheese was just okay. The location's pretty great too.

There is no question that the BGC area is undoubtedly full of food choices. Have you explored around lately? If you’re already familiar with Frank & Dean, located at the ground floor of Forbestown Center in Burgos Circle, well they have new surprises for all of you!
Named after music legends Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin of The Rat Pack, the spot opens from 7 am until 10 pm. For those who didn’t know, not only do they serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and coffee—they also have smoothies, milkshakes, and yes, alcoholic drinks.
If you haven’t been there, imagine just how diverse its clients are. This is also evident with the interesting mix of offerings they have on their menu: from Paprika Fries (Php 190), to Sour Cream Pancakes (Php 250), and the Vegan Quinoa Bowl (Php 330).
Moving on to the new stuff, several blogger friends and myself were invited to brunch to try some new treats. First off, let me introduce The Frank Champion (Php 190) a warm and gooey combination of scrambled eggs, chives, cheddar, and caramelized onions on a soft brioche bun. It was like a warm hug, packed in a filling morning sandwich to start your day.
If you want a heavier dish, the Jambalaya (Php 220) is for you. The aromatic bowl of meat, vegetables, and rice can accompany you while studying for an exam, discussing a school project, or even for a work meeting over brunch.
For the drinks, I was able to try the All Natural Protein Shake (Php 270), with that familiar taste that health buffs will recognize and the refreshing Mango Burst (Php 180).
To cap off our morning, we were served with Old Fashioned Doughnuts (Php 55). This has been in their menu but whether you eat them right after your meal or have them as takeaway, they will not disappoint.
So whatever you’re in the mood for, there is something for you. Follow Frank & Dean on Instagram: @frankxdean and Facebook: FRANKxDEAN for more updates!

Getting excited reviewing restos that are new. One of them is Fort's Frank & Dean. It prides itself with fried chicken and all day breakfast. My friends and I found it good for its creativity.
Pro: The food tasted great!
Neutral: Coffee could have been better. It was a full house when we came in so it took a while to get a server's attention.
Con: Small serving for high price.
When I first went to Frank & Dean, it was a shame I didn't order any of their food choices. I had a few drinks with friends at Ocean's Telephone, the speak easy bar above. I told myself though the next time I visit I'll try their savory dishes.
Sure enough, I had lunch there and ordered their spaghetti and meatballs and fried chicken. The spaghetti was a bit firm for my taste but didn't mind too much. The meatballs were nice and hearty. The chicken was crispy and flavorful.
The place itself is a feast for the eyes already. Each corner being instagram ready. Definitely trying their other dishes when I come back.
The place is so laid back. The staff were all nice. Food is great. Try the southern fried chicken - rich in taste and paired it with their waffle. The Raclette Grilled Cheese with Marinara dip is a good choice as well. 👍😋
Elg Santiago: Takaw Mo Elg!
+3.5
A relaxing place to dine in based on its ambiance and location. Good marinade on their Southern Chicken dish. Its gravy tastes so good. The salad is also delectable. Nice interiors and that vinyl turntable is just so cool! 😋😎
A relatively new place in the Burgos Circle area, Frank x Dean is quite a hidden gem with pretty interiors. Their main selling points are coffee, which I didn't try since I'm not much of a coffee drinker, and southern chicken, which I didn't try as well because I was in the mood for breakfast food. What I did try was their Truffle eggs, which are pretty good but wasn't all that spectacular, though it surprisingly made me full. Should've tried the eggs ben instead! Overall, nice ambiance and pretty okay food, but quite pricey for me.
Unexpectedly good coffee. We ordered a hot cappuccino and Frank's Espresso Shake (FES). The FES was special! Very, very good. Like melted mocha ice cream with an extra kick of coffee!
Wonderful ambiance! The perfect place to just sit down, grab a cup of coffee (or a delicious bite of chicken and waffles), and relax. Or hold a meeting. Or just burrow yourself into a book.
It's a bit difficult to find, but extremely worth the visit.
A chef friend of mine back in the US always said the best way to test a breakfast restaurant is to try their Eggs Benedict. If that's the case then Frank & Dean is a promising and welcome addition to the BGC area. The eggs ben were done perfectly, with a masterfully done hollondaise sauce, perfectly poached eggs. Highly recommend.
If I were to describe FxD in three aspects: modern interiors, comfort food, good coffee. After admiring the interiors from afar, I finally decided to come here for coffee one balmy afternoon with friends.
They serve American comfort food: fried chicken, waffles, fries, pizza. Coffee choices are limited but the ones I've tried so far are good enough (iced cappuccino and iced latte). Prices not too affordable, but serving sizes and ambiance can compensate. Limited tables outside for smokers, overlooking what seems to be a mini-skatepark now. Let's see how this place fares with all the other cafes in BGC.
