We enjoyed couscous night - the lamb & sausage was delicious and there was a good wine selection. We also
ordered profiteroles with ice cream and the cheesecake for dessert - definitely worth the calories! Will be back soon.

We made reservation for 2 at 7pm though we came in at 7:20. Not may people yet, just 2 families and we were seated by the window ;). Even before our orders come, the people start coming and the place is instantly full... on a Thursday night!

We ordered the seared onglet and the grilled one both on medium well. Both comes with simple salad, the seared onglet has fries and I chose veggies and rwd wine sauce to go with my grilled onglet. The seared is more of well done but the grilled is my perfect medium well. We had smoked bacon salad (which we finished before I remembered to take a picture of) which is also amazing!

The staff are very friendly and attentive.
Ambiance is very good and tables are properly spaced that you are not bothered by noisy neighbor.

We used zomato gold so price-wise super duper happy!

We will surely be back to try the other grilled steaks.

Went in October 4 2019 on a friday without reservations and the staff were so accomodating and fixed us a table by the counter. It was somewhat perfect. The food was great had Angus Ribeye steak both for me and my fiance. Perfectly done steak.i had a medium steak perfectly pink on the midle. Compliments to the chef and the crew.

Ordered the grilled US black angus rib eye steak with peppercorn sauce and mashed potatoes, and it certainly did not disappoint. The ambiance was very chill and intimate, service and staff were on point and friendly. I will definitely be back!

i love the rib eye steak in medium, best to go with peppercorn sauce. yet tastes so good as it is. tender and juicy and a big chunk of 350g meat. the salad dressing is kinda sour, for me best suit the steak since i got the cheese sauce. cozy. dim lights. nearby our office. the place is huge. not crowded even during lunch time. service is great too. you can get more complimentary bread which i dont think its advisable to eat more than the usual if you’re gonna get the rib eye. we left the place all smiles and belly satisfied. btw, got another complimentary rib eye of the same quality and quantity (not less quality even if is a zomato gold complimentary dish) which is amazing. definitely going back there for a date night with my 1+1 food. we accepted defeat, ribeye steak won our hearts & tummy too :)

We enjoyed our late dinner here. We had their flank steak, it was tender and tasty. The gravy I chose was red wine gravy, it was good too, I mixed it with mushroom gravy. For the sides, I had mashed potato, also good. For starters, I had their French Onion Soup, really flavorful and oozing with melted cheese. The waitstaff assigned to our table (forgot his name) was very friendly, accommodating and even helped my friend with directions since he got lost, handed him the phone and he patiently gave him directions. Good service indeed! We also stayed on after dinner just chatting, we were the only ones left. But they let us stay and were gracious to wait for us, though we told them they could go ahead and clear our table. But they said its okay and didnt bother us. We will surely be back!

Sagana French Bistro, formerly Sagana Epicerie and Bistro, is an oasis of tranquility in the middle of the busy Bonifacio Global City. Who would’ve thought that Net One Building has a portal to classy and luxurious fine dining restaurant on its ground floor. A champion of farm-to family ideology for local produce, this restaurant extends their support for our local farmers while producing the best of French cuisine has to offer.

A shortage of ingredients isn’t possible for Sagana, as they still have a lot of bandwidth to even sell wines and plenty of local produce for customers to have their hand on what our local farmers have been giving their life and dedication. We even spotted Hineleban’s Adlai, our favorite rice substitute!

Very neat and with a little hint of garden-inspired interior make up the whole restaurant, with some few leaves draping from the ceiling.

Sagana French Bistro prides itself a French Restaurant that promotes and uses the best quality, locally sourced produce while remaining true to the traditions and authenticity of French Cooking.

Food was good, but it felt super bitin (definitely not for the hearty Filipino appetite) huhu! So because of the small serving size, I docked a star

What we ordered:
1. Prawn bisque with cheese, seafood, and parmesan crisps: Mmm this was just OK. The soup was nice and creamy but I felt the seafood didn't meld well with the soup flavor
2. Grilled apahap with creamy tomato parmesan Adlai risotto beurre blanc sauce: the local sea bass was really good (albeit very thin) but the risotto lacked flavor
3. Crab and pumpkin ravioli with aligue sauce and salad: Loved this! But again, super small serving size. Five scoops and it was gone :(
4. Beef brisket bourguignin style braised in red wine, smoked bacon and mushroom sauce: Beef brisket was ridiculously tender. We paired this with ratatouille
5. Grilled US Wagyu beef onglet: this was supposed to be their star dish but I thought it fell short. Steak was medium rare but felt kinda tough. Salad was soggy. The fries, on the other hand, was just right

Overall, would probably not come back without the Zomato Gold offer as it's pretty pricey

The ambiance is A+++, great for date nights. We ate here for lunch and went for pasta and steak. Crab pasta is not too salty (borderline bland) but flavorful. The croquettes are a must try, and your man will definitely enjoy their meat offering. Excited to be back!

We dined in during dead hours (4pm on a Saturday.) And although they call it happy hour, the place didn't look happy - no music, a part of it near the restrooom had the lights off (maybe because someone was sleeping on the sofa) and it took some time for the staff to notice us when we came in. We were the only diners the whole time but two of the staff that were there cannot even pay attention to us (their eyes glued to their phones) but we're not complaining. Medium well onglet with the mushroom sauce was almost heaven. Food was great but service can be improved.

A+ service! Servers are friendly, helpful, even funny at times.

I always order the flank steak here with red wine sauce. Salad is also a great addition but the roasted vegetables side needs a bit more seasoning. Overall, one of my favorite places in BGC.

The food and service in Sagana was satisfactory. I got the beef brisket with roasted vegetables for the siding. It was cooked to my liking / preference. My partner got a pate platter which was also good. While my other friends got the steak. Their steak was also good, its premium quality and cooked to perfection based on their request which was medium well. Overall, good experience and will definitely comeback and refer this to my friends. Also, they have zomato gold 1+1 food which makes it very worth it.

Been coming to the restaurant when it was still Je Suis Gourmand, then Champetre, then now Sagana. The menu now includes some French-Filipino fusion dishes, apart from the staples. Food is always great, however it seems that the service has deteriorated a bit. But will still keep on coming back because this place serves the best pan seared foie gras in my honest opinion.

I love everything about sagana french bistro. The service is fast and attentive. The food is... delicious. Certainly the best and most typical French brasserie food in Manila. My favorite are the foie gras, onglet (beef hanging tender) and oysters (when available...).

Service is always worth a penny, and so are the foods. 5 stars for the overall experience. We used zomato gold and their service is still the same with non users. I had several experiences with other restaurants that when they knew that we’re using the app, they will have a different treatment to you (so I’m wondering if it’s only us who experienced it tho). Nevertheless, we enjoyed the food!

Though no expert, I’ve been to France on a few occasions. And I can say the food is indeed, well, tres bien! Onion soup, lamb chops, grilled prawns, apahap, creme brûlée with a Bordeaux and rosè... all very good and well presented ... in French.

Prawn Bisque is very rich, its like tasting the ocean in your mouth - a must order. Paired with their complementary starter bread, Yumm! Beef tartar is also good, if you're not a fan of raw meat, then this may not fit your tastebuds. Duck confit is goof but the outer part seems dry, nonetheless the meat inside is good paired with its sauce. The steak was heavenly! another must order. Ravioli is a bit disappointing, the sauce is the same with the prawn bisque, nothing special.

The ambience is really cozy and the wait staff are very attentive and helpful.

The best among the dishes we had is the organic egg with creamed mushrooms. Super umami! Perfect starter!

The flank steak was cooked perfectly and flavorful. Fries were just okay.

Grilled apahap. Nothing special. Locally sourced. The risotto though was delicious.

Pork tenderloin/medallions are good but nothing really special.

Crepe was just okay. I appreciate that they made the chocolate syrup from scratch. You can really taste the difference. However, the mangoes and bananas were not perfectly ripe.

Overall, the experience was great. I will definitely come back and try other dishes with my friends .

Service is excellent, staff is very friendly, no discrimination towards Zomato Gold users. Bread is delicious, food was served on time. Food was plated and seasoned well. Taste and vibe-wise, it feels like a BGC branch of Chef Jessie or CDP in Rockwell, made more expensive because of the astronomical rent prices of the area. Even with Zomato Gold the food is still very expensive. Spent 1,500/head for a group of 5 with wine (1,800 without Zomato) and was still hungry at the end.

Anything organic interests me so off we went to Sagana for today’s late lunch. Cozy and well-appointed, the white, lined tablecloths were perfecr with the red carnations on little glass vases.

We were served warm bread after our orders were taken and even though I usually ignore breads I could not resist this warm, crusty outside and soft inside slice. Our orders of prawn bisque, goat cheese salad, flank steak, and pork tenderloin were all excellent. The ratatouille that went with the meats were charred and greatly appealed to all of us.

The only reasons I give it 4 stars are that the restroom ceiling had a leak and the playlist was confusing (sometimes French sometimes Columbian/Spanish/I don’t know what). These can be corrected overnight so no big deal. Come here. I would come back here again and again and again.

The place is notably on the pricy side (which is saying something since it's in BGC) but makes up for it with high quality food. The atmosphere here is really nice, it feels like a quiet french restaurant. Im a Zomato Gold user and I had the Ribeye steak (it's covered by the promo!) and French onion soup. Both dishes were excellent and I strongly recommend eating here for dinner if you're in the mood to spend.

Been to this charming restaurant two nights in a row! Knew from the bread served that it will be a great meal. Food is served incredibly fast. The flavors are clean, bold and very complimentary. Presentation is also a highlight yet never overly complicated. There’s a high level of skill behind the kitchen and portions are sized just right. Will be back many times more! Maybe one of the best French restaurants in the county!

Me and my friends always see this restaurant before and after work everyday. I personally been intimidated by the place and the prices haha. It seems that only rich people can afford to dine in this kind of place. But me and my friends decided to conquer our fears one day and decided to visit and taste their dishes; and here we are dining in a prestigious restaurant.

We ordered the following:

BEEF BRISKET BOURGUINON STYLE 4.5/5
Beef was tender, juicy and flavorful. The sauce was so good and the sides we chose balanced the taste of the whole dish.

ROASTED ORGANIC BLACK PORK TENDERLOIN 3.5/5
I find the meat a little bit tough (one of my brackets was detached upon chewing it); but the flavor is good and tasty as well.

CRAB AND PUMPKIN RAVIOLI 4.5/5
Ravioli was al dente, the taste of the crab could be identified easily by my palette and the pumpkin sauce makes the fusion of flavors awesome. I wanted more cheese though.

NORWEGIAN SALMON STEAK 4/5
Salmon was cooked to perfection, though there is something more I would like to have with the sauce, but I just can't think of what flavor could be missing. Haha the confused palette.

The food and place is so good but so pricey too. For now, we must say that this is for the rich people. Haahahha At least we tried and experienced it, maybe our next visit will be until next Christmas season.

Quality of the food is unquestionable, service was extra ordinary and ambiance is great.

Excellent French restaurant in BGC. Originally known as Champetre, good to see this restaurant still attracting a full house of patrons on the Saturday evening during our visit.

We started off with a bottle of Muscadet wine with a couple of appetizers - Wild Boar Pâté from the daily special menu and Fried Adlai Vegetables and Parmesan Croquettes. Both were good, with the latter being excellent.

Our mains were the Grilled Apahap with creamy tomato parmesan risotto and buerre blanc sauce and Chicken Breast braised in mushroom tarragon cream sauce. We lived the fish, while the chicken dish was ok.

Dessert was the yummy Davao Chocolate Mousse with lovely biscuit

I had met the owner in one of my work meetings and I was made aware of his restaurant. I immediately set the dinner with my friends the night after.

This is truly one of the best French restos in BGC. My personal favorite is the truffle pasta. The server explained the dishes very well.

Plus points as the place is also cozy!

My family has long been a fan of Marc Aubry from his Champetre days to his current baby Sagana. I have been to Sagana more than a few times since it opened and I was a happy diner each time. Chef Marc through his culinary creations introduced me to French-inspired cooking that is very flavorful yet never pretentious. I particularly like the philosophy behind Sagana — locally sourced, farm to table produce transformed into uncomplicated but highly flovorful French-inspired fare. I particularly love the apahap (local sea bass) which is grilled and served with creamy ratatouille. Rich but not overly so. The angus ribeye steak with roquefort cheese sauce will always be a favorite. I love steaks and I am used to having it with the usual sauces — red wine or mushroom or peppercorn or bearnaise. Or maybe even with just the basic pepper and rock salt. And then I come across roquefort cheese sauce in Sagana. Lovely. And then there is Chef Marc’s vegetable gratin. I used to ask for cauliflower gratin in Champetre to go with pretty much every thing I ordered. It was that good. In the menu now is eggplant gratin. I suppose no one does gratin better than the French. Another solid favorite are two soups — prawn bisque and french onion soup. I have brought many foreign colleagues from the regional bank that I used to work for and that french onion soup always made an impression. The lamb chops are a favorite as well. And if you are in the mood for a bit more culinary pampering then you might want to try the foie gras and pate sampler. Oh, one more thing. You need not break the bank when you dine in Sagana. You get real value for what you pay.

Excellent experience at Sagana (renovated, rebranded and relaunched Champêtre)!

We ordered the L’Onglet, which was a favorite. Very tender and generous piece of meat served with a side salad and fries. We also ordered the Algerian Couscous and I especially loved the sausage and the lamb chops that came with it. Everything was on point, even our request to have our meats prepared medium rare.

We ordered the Le Nancy for a sweet ending. Great flourless chocolate dessert. The chocolate ganache tasted homemade. Overall, excellent experience!

Had my first experience in Sagana Epicerie and Bistro on the evening of 1 February 2018 and I love the food, drink, service, and ambiance.  I highly recommend their French Onion Soup before taking the main course.  Definitely I will go back for more.

We were a big group and made a reservation.
I liked the interiors of the resto, it was modern but still homey.
The french onion soup looked enticing and tasted rich.
I got the grilled apahap and it was so tasty - went well with my white wine. I realized though that there were parts of the ratatouille that were a bit too salty.
My group’s favorites were the Scallop Gratin and Beef Tartar.
We were able to meet Chef Marc Aubry which was an awesome plus!

Sagana is a real gem located in BGC. Unlike most restaurants, they won't play to adjust their market. They are driven by a strong concept, which is to bring their guests the freshest local products, grown in an eco-friendly environment and respecting the soil where they've been grown, to become real french dishes, cooked with french tehniques by chef Marc Aubry.

One of the best example of product found in Sagana that show how rich and interesting is filipino agriculture would be the coffee.
Their beans are coming from small farms located in remote islands. A world-class coffee, brought to you by passionate people, that help small communities to sustain their activity in your own country. It's the kind of thing that really touch me and show a very positive philosophy of a restaurant.

I can also talk about the ambiance. You feel a lot of serenity when you enter this place with a mix of wood and greens with adjusted lightnings and very comfortable seats.

I tried one of their flagship dish, the Onglet.
A wonderful piece of beef, flavourful and perfectly cooked that come with a salad and french fries.
Simple but totally efficient.

This place won't be your typical hip place, shining from outside with a menu full of people pleaser dishes. Once you enter this restaurant, you enter a place where you will live a real food experience, completely different from anything you can try in Metro Manila.

Been in this restaurant 3 times over my stay. They have quite a large choice of real French cuisine. While they called themselves a bistro the food is actually closer to gastronomic but with large serving and reasonable price. Ambiance is cosy and service is surprisingly fast.
The Chef is taking time to talk to clients and I even had the surprise to be offered a secret dish on my last day (an amazing beef stroganoff)
Strongly recommend this place to those who like (honest) french food in a cosy modern bistro ambiance.

Love the concept... French food prepared with locally sourced ingredients. We were trying to eat healthy so we stuck with the eggplant au gratin as a starter and the apahap as the main. Both very good. Will come back next time to try the foie gras. Only negative was that there were fruit flies and they landed in our wine. Thankfully the waiters were very apologetic and replaced our drinks.

This is absolutely my favorite restaurant here in BGC.  I have always had an excellent meal at a fair price.  Chef Marc Aubry prepares his food with obvious passion as it is quite simply superb and has me over indulging.  As an example my last meal there consisted of an appetizer of foie gras, followed by an entrée of onglet (awesome beef which I had with Béarnaise sauce, one of several offered) I had it with the french fries (a simple side but prepared perfectly).  Last but certainly not least was dessert, here I always have trouble deciding on just one and usually finish with 2, this time it was Leche Flan Cheescake and one of Marc's housemade ice creams.  Yes I know I will have to do a bit more exercise tomorrow but it is always worth it!

Formerly Champetre, which was my personal best-and-favorite French restaurant, has closed and now emerged into a French-Filipino fusion cuisine "Sagana".  Basically, it uses Filipino ingredients prepared with the finest French cuisine.  I am unable to provide a thorough review on this restaurant since I left BGC when this restaurant opened in second half of 2017.

Ambiance - neat & clean; a nice place for peace and quiet meal with friends and with yourself.  :)  As you enter the restaurant, the organic foods stand out upon the door.

Service - staffs are attentive and friendly, who are mostly staffs from the old Champetre.

Food - there's no doubt that the quality of the food does not disappoint one customer, but it also means that the price is high.  I have noticed that Sagana has shown great importance on the presentation of the food on top of the quality taste.  I have tried the Grilled Apahap (Local Bass) w/ grilled vegetables, and honestly, the fish is soft and well-cooked.  Sadly, I haven't tried their other dishes though.

Still, I personally feel that Champetre is better than Sagana, because I'm a French-cuisine fan.

April 2-7, 2018: Sagana commemorated the "Paul Bocuse" event where they served dishes prepared by him.  Dishes were superb, especially the signature dish "VGE Soup".  Wine selections were good, and made me realized how good wines are!  

Worth a visit again?  Yes, certainly!

Delicious grilled prawns with cabbage stuffed with crab claw... This is a special menu dish. Highly recommended for a light, tasty and healthy dinner!

Food is reasonably priced. Serving portions are generous. I had the Wagyu Beef Onglet with Mushroom sauce and Spinach side dish and it did not disappoint. Their desserts are good especially the Leche flan cheesecake and Crumble (Cream with mango bits)

The veggie stew of Algerian Couscous is good. It looks like the place is a casual dining from the outside but it is almost a fine dining experience from the inside 😊 would go back to this place to try their other dishes.

5/5 when I finally retire I will use all my life savings to eat here everyday until the good Lord takes me. Foie gras and venison all day everyday.
