I ordered Gyudon and I enjoyed it a lot, it tastes close to the one I've tried in Tokyo so I recommend this place. The food is on the pricier side though but they offer Zomato Gold deals for a number of dishes plus the food tastes authentic so it's a win all-around.

A gem in McKinley I'm glad I discovered because of Zomato Gold. I can say that the generous serving of Salmon Belly really impressed me. It is perfectly cooked with the slice still fresh and juicy. Every bite I had of this salmon is a delight. I also liked the Gyudon. Rice is delicious and sticky as you would expect of a bowl of Japanese rice with egg yolk. This meal is very tasty and has the right kick of umami. The experience should have been perfect if it wasn't for the Okonomiyaki which was really dry. It was the first time I had Okonomiyaki this bad. It lacks the ingredients and flavor and was really dry and overcooked like a plain flour bread. I want to give this a try the next time it improves. Overall though, the experience was nice. All thanks to the nice staff and that perfect Salmon belly.

Ramen good enough, thanks Zomato gold for 1 + 1 on food. Turn off was they charge an additional p50 when we asked for extra sesame seeds for our ramen.

It was my first time, and here's my thoughts
Food: I had the tonkotsu ramen and it immediately took the top spot of my ramen list, it had a certain taste that I couldn't explain, it's just so good. My girlfriend had the sushi bento, and it was done so well. The sea weeds, it's so good, both in the bento and the ramen.
Place: it's serene and not a lot of people. Although, if you have a car you might want to consider parking at venice since they only have two parking slots.
I'll definitely come back to this place. 👌

Go here to get legit Japanese food. Food is a bit pricey as usual for legit jap food but having zomato gold is really good deal.
Can I just say that this Japanese restaurant in Tuscany is really the place to be. As I've mentioned before, my love for Japanese food is never-ending so it took me to another gastronomic experience with the clean and healthy appeal of Japanese cuisine.
We came in for dinner after watching Spiderman Far From Home. Honestly, I think I enjoyed the dinner more than the movie LOL. Anyway, we took advantage of the zomato gold perks and got two orders of the Gyu-Tendon Donburi. It was served hot and it was a treat! Juicy thin-sliced beef and perfectly-fried shrimp on a bed of steaming rice. As an addition, we also got an order of their unagi maki and tekka maki. The tuna and the eel were fresh and the rice and nori were superb. There was not a trace of fishiness. Bonus treat was the miso soup which was really comforting. Domo-Arigato!

Staff are really nice and accommodating. Celebrated the birthday of a friend here and they have decent space upstairs. Food is great especially the sushi and sashimi sets. I also liked the vegetable tempuras.
I'm a sashimi lover and sashimis here in Nihonkai is one of the best and generous in town. Haven't been to their rooms but it's very tempting to try to get a japanese feel while eating.

This has been one of our go to Japanese restaurants in the metro. Great service, one time we came and the air conditioning system wasn’t working that well but they made sure that we were comfortable and set up an electric fan for us. Food is really great here, I love their Ten Zaru Soba which is why I always get that. I can say one of the best sobas I have had. The Banana Split Tempura is really something different, not you typical banana split (a must try.) I am not a fan of banana split but this is really good.

Get the Ten Zaru Soba if you’re a fan of cold noodles. Their Soba Sioyaki was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Their version of Gyudon, a favorite among us Filipinos, was pretty amazing too. Then cap it all off with the perfect Tempura Banana Split for dessert.

I think that this is a sister branch, albeit more modern and classy, of Nihonbashitei.
The food was similar and stick with the authentic flavor.
I love their gyoza, which was big and flavorful.
The bento boxes were 'sulit' and really filling.

Ordered the Makunochi Bento(Ippo!). The chicken was flavorful, to the point where I finished the meal and then realizes I hadn't touched the sauce. Wellt worth it, generous servings that will surely make you full. Also got to taste Katsu Ni which was quite tasty. We were seated on the second floor, the place looked old but nonetheless it was quite clean. The people were friendly too.

My go-to place for Japanese cuisine. Their Kani salad is one of the best I've tasted. I cannot count how many times I have been here and have food delivered from this restaurant.
Place is clean and quiet, good for family dinners. The people are accommodating and give good service.

Went here to get a quick bite and my memory of the food can last a longevity. It was really great compared to other well-known Japanese restos out there.
FOOD is a 5 - We had their bento meal and their Soba and I would have to say even though I am a voracious eater, both of these made me already full. The taste of their Soba is one that you cannot forget for it has an earthy flavor. Their salmon bento was cooked just right. We would want to imitate their side dish which we really loved the most.
AMBIENCE is a 4 - That time when we ate their the resto was not servicing a lot of guests. However, you can hear the chit-chat of the people who work their which was in a way uncomfortable, I would wish for them to take it on a down-low. The food was served generously if you are to ask! ;)
SERVICE is a 4 - They were courteous but it takes a moment before someone can attend to you.
PRICE is a 4 - Luckily, there was a 30% promo when we dined here so it did not really hurt our budget. Realising that the food cost a little bit more expensive compared to other Japanese resto, I would have to say if you are a commoner, you need to be prepared with the price of what you will eat for. But I promise you, it is all worth it! So spend a little more of your budget and eat your heart out in here.
If someone would ask if I would go back. Definitely! Especially if I am craving for a Japanese meal a few blocks away from where I live. It’s worth giving it a try! ;)

Nihonkai Tsukiji is as authentic as you can get when it comes to Japanese food in Taguig. With a wide selection of fresh dishes, you'll never run out of reasons to come here.
Come here for gyoza, aburi maki, spicy tuna maki, and their gyudon. Everything might seem steeply priced, but trust me -- you get what you pay for, and maybe some more.

Of all the Japanese restaurants I’ve been to, I can honestly say that their Jap cuisine has a taste of authenticity not to mention, good value for your money
I Ordered Makunochi bento which consists of a bowl of rice, miso soup, grilled salmon, sashimi, tonkatsu, tamago, coleslaw and age dashi tofu. Imagine, all of these delicious and healthy Jap food in a bento! (Priced at 450php) You’ll definitely taste the freshness of the sashimi as well as the salmon and the veggies included in it. I Believe it’s good for sharing (but I shared it with myself) The Pork tonkatsu is not too salty which I like.
Apart from the bento, I also ordered their Ebi tempura. I don’t know how they did it but it felt heavenly bite after bite. The Shrimp is thick, their breading is very crunchy and tasty. It’s kind of pricey for a tempura, but nevertheless, it’s very delicious.
The Feel of the restaurant is like you’re really in Japan. Their interior mimicks real Japanese restaurants which is very pleasing. Overall, i’d recommend this underrated Japanese restaurant in Mckinley!
We had to pay for 40 pesos for parking so we can eat in here. Food is delicious but service is not that good. A lot of servers chit chatting around which is annoying for me as for a casual dining restaurant, they should not display that kind of behaviour and they were loud too. Don't sit near the entrance as the food smell was very strong too.

Finally, I was able to catch this place open. It used to be that they kept such late hours that I was always turned away by the staff when I passed by during my lunch break...and I almost was, because when I asked if they were open the staff almost shooed me away again with an admonishment that they open at 11 (despite the fact that it was already 11: 05), if not for the Japanese chef (who seemed to be the owner too) who was sitting outside. He waved me in so the front of office had to accomodate me.
I was a bit apprehensive about how I would be treated as there have been consistent comments about the rudeness and indifference of the waiters and waitresses. I imagined that I would be briskly rushed through my meal and promptly booted out. Happily I was mistaken and I was able to have a quiet and delicious meal of sushi bento with an extra order of mackerel sashimi.
It is a mystery to me though how this restaurant can remain open if it is scarcely filled with customers during the day. They must have an enormous and ravenous crowd in the evenings.
Anyway, I find the sleepy ambiance during the day quite soothing and restful.

After an outreach event nearby for kids on a weekday, we got going to find new food spots to eat. We found ourselves here at Nihonkai, full from a hefty lunch at neighboring Moe's. This restaurant serves most of your Japanese favorites. They even have a create your own Maki going as well as a bunch of group meals and individual sets. We, however, got all their sweet line up instead.
For this Japanese dessert journey, we all enjoyed their rendition of classic Banana Split, Tempura style (Php 260). It got a bed of not oily battered sweetened banana, topped with ube, vanilla and chocolate ice creams. We also loved the Fruitti Kakiage, it was tempura on mixed fruits filled with ice cream. Their Melon Kakigori with extra yellow mango, however, was a miss. This shaved ice dessert was a fail for its huge chunks of ice, making it a chore to chew.
Since we needed some savory dish to assist our sweet palate, we also ordered their best selling Gyoza, a dumpling with ground pork and shredded vegetables.

It has been a long time coming for a date with my fam. This time, they went here where my partner and I live to have an early dinner. The kids weren't able to swim anymore in the condo pool because it was raining so we decided to first go to Venice Piazza since they have not been there. Unfortunately, there was a queue to the parking area. We headed to the less crowded strip fronting Tuscany. We decided to try one of the Japanese restos (now the only one) here. I wasn't too adventurous that day so I ordered the reliabe Katsudon (Php375). We had several other orders but I was only able to take a picture of just two other dishes, Ebi Tempura (Php390) and Tonkotsu Ramen (Php320). The place has a genuine Japanese resto feel and the staff were courteous and accommodating. We didn't mind the price being a tad pricey because the dishes tasted authentic.
For the love of sushi! I finally found a restaurant that gives legit sushi with a reasonable price. Fresh chirashi bowl and so full. They even have free fresh fish as an appetizer (forgot what it's called). Near the office and as a Japanese cuisine lover? This passes a 5!
Was craving for udon and glad Nihonkai Tsukiji has it. I first felt intimidated to go here as I know their food was pricey but when i checked their menu on zomato they have more food choices now and prices are better. Ordered the tempura udon and it's so yummy and serving was huge so it was worth its price.
Went here for 3 consecutive days just for their UNI SUSHI! THE BEST! very fresh, taste is clean. Value for money. Only prob would be their exhaust. It stings the eyes.
Walking distance from my office. The place was nice and cozy with faux cherry blossoms outside 😘. Ordered bento lunch set and it was good 👍😋the chicken katsu was crunchy and the miso soup was umami. I also tried the california maki, it was freshly made and tasty. The crew were nice and friendly, they were also attentive. Oh and they have service charge and free wifi. Would recommend it if you want some Japanese fixin 😊🍽

Searched for this one when I was in Manila and it did not disappoint. Ordered sushi with tempura on it, tasty, with right balance of the ingredients. I enjoyed it! The yakisoba was good as well, umami flakes on top which was adorable to watch as they flicker. I just think there was more veggies than the noodles itself. Nonetheless, I love the flavors on it. Only thing I've noticed, staff are not paying attention although there's a good number of them. Ambiance wise -- Japanese feel it is with warm towels served afterwards. The bill was cheaper that what I really though so that's a plus.
Place looked a bit old and didn't have the best ambiance. Sushi was okay. I liked their service, though they can be a bit confused when asked questions about their food. But they're very attentive.

Well, for the food, it didn't disappoint us. The serving was big enough so you can have it shared. We ordered Ebi tempura, Kani Salad my favorite, Sashimi, California maki and the others had ramen it was worth the price.

Looking for a place for late lunch I was thankful that they are open. Craving for anything ramen their Miso Ramen passed my expectations. I also loved their gyoza because its not too ginger tasting. They also have hefty servings of their rice bowl meals we tried the Udon. Service is good too because their staff were very attentive and friendly. It has been quite a while since I last went to this Japanese restaurant! It may not be as popular as other restaurants like Tsumura, Seryna or Inagiku but this place serves great food!
We were all famished and quickly ordered a bunch of Salmon Aburi (PHP95/piece x 16), Uni Sashimi (PHP320), Salmon Sashimi (PHP375), Sukiyaki (PHP450), Spicy Tuna (PHP360) and Ebi-Ten Roll (PHP375). Auntie and Uncle also ordered Agedashi Tofu (PHP170), Salmon Belly (PHP320), Chicken Teriyaki (PHP275), Salmon Head (PHP275), Nihonkai Special Bento (PHP1,050) and ramen bowl which I failed to take note of.
Service was quick as always and our salmon aburi was served first.
It was so fresh and the type that melts in your mouth. I loved that it was torched and the warmth of the salmon was so harmonious with the slightly cold Japanese rice.
The uni sashimi was the best! Its freshness was evident with its lovely sweet taste and smooth texture. It was love at first bite. I wanted to order another bowl but I was afraid I might get an upset tummy.
The spicy tuna and ebi-ten roll were served next.
The spicy tuna was pretty good. I loved the crunch of the sweet and mildly spicy topping. But I could hardly taste the tuna.
The ebi-ten roll was forgettable. It was as bland as rice and it just made me wish that we have ordered the extra uni sashimi instead.
R and I both loved the sashimi. The broth was sweet and salty (but more on the salty side) and the beef slices were tender. There was a generous serving of veggies but they were quite stingy on the mushroom as there was only one in our bowl. It would have been nice too if they added a bit more beef and noodles to offset the saltiness of the broth.
I had a bite of the salmon head and it was good. But I’d rather go for the salmon belly if I want salmon meat.
Overall, it was a great meal and it was a fun dinner with R’s family.
It's a little expected for a decent Japanese restaurant to be a bit pricey, but their servings are for 1 and a half of me. Love their food, dishes taste absolutely amazing and the sushi sizes are a mouthful haha. Just prepare for around 2k for a person.

I love their chicken karaage. It’s the best i’ve had so far. It’s tender and juicy. The service is nice and fast and the stuff is attentive. You wouldn’t have to ask for a glass of water because they would already fill your glass if they saw na half empty na sya.

Upon a recommendation of a friend, we tried Nihonkai Tsukiji at the Tuscany Estates. The outside looked like an extravagant Japanese restaurant with cherry blossoms and all things Japanese. The inside is a little small, however, they have a second floor. The store has good ambiance and a good Japanese feel. When you enter, a sushi bar greets you.
Just by looking at the menu alone, you will notice that it is a no-frills, authentic Japanese restaurant. We had most of everything on their menu:
- Green Salad - your favorite greens with carrots on a roasted sesame dressing. Normal but not overpowering.
- Ebi Tempura - Crunchy but the breading is too thick and bread-y at the same time.
- Yaki Soba - right balance of sourness and sweetness. Good for sharing.
- Unagi Don - love the rice as they use real short grain rice. The eel is enough for the rice.
- Chicken Teriyaki Don - rice is good. Chicken has good flavor but quite dry.
- Chicken Katsu - tender and doesn't have sharp breading.
- Uni Tempura - takes awhile to serve but serving of uni is generous.
- Salmon Sashimi - a bit too frozen for me.
Overall, a good place to dine with friends especially if you are craving for good Japanese food. A bit pricey, but pays for quality. Service is impeccable.

I love Japanese food and good thing there's Nihonkai Tsukiji relatively near my work place when I crave for authentic Japanese cuisine.
They've got everything! From sushi and sashimi, ramen/soba/udon, to bento, donburi, and yakimono plus a lot more. We usually order the Makunochi Bento. This is totally filling as it consists of sashimi, katsu, grilled salmon, tofu, miso soup, salad, and rice. Another favorite is the Ebi-Ten Roll. Love the Japanese mayo drizzle on the crunchy coated maki. For the ramen, I go for Tonkotsu Ramen. It's a huge bowl/serving size with 2 slices of pork and half hard-boiled egg. I always get this giddy feeling whenever I dine at Nihonkai Tsukiji. A feeling of craving satisfied!
Nihonkai Tsukiji does not disappoint. I was craving ramen that day and their tonkatsu ramen tastes good. It is fine for its price. We know that Japanese food is normally expensive but the serving is fine also. Thou I cannot say it's my favorite cuisine. I won't mind going back to this place.

Nihonkai Tsukiji is a welcome addition to the long line of restaurants along Mckinley Hill and only 1 of two restaurants that serves Japanese Cuisine (the other one is Ukokkei). They serve a variety of Japanese dishes such as sushi, maki, sashimi, tempura, ramen, katsu, donburi, udon and of course, bento boxes.
At Nihonkai Tsukiji, they offer three types of bento boxes and if you are new to their restaurant; you would probably get the Makunochi Bento as it would be the cheapest among the three and can already fill your tummy.

Really like this place, and since it's right across the street from my house, it is so convenient! The resto is small but free of clutter, so it gives off a very authentic feel. The food is very good, especially the sushi and sashimi - fresh and very generous in size. Tempura, Unagi, Agadeshi Tofu, and Beef Tepanyaki all excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good Japanese meal. Only downside is you'll find it hard to get seats if you are a big group.

Ate here with two friends. I loved the spicy salmon and shime Saba. I didn't like the waitresses to eager to take to clear the table though while we were not yet finished with our food yet.
The experience was great. I ordered their Shoyu Ramen and California Maki. I liked both of them, though I've tasted even better versions elsewhere. I love the ambiance, it feels like you're in Japan! I can also say the same with their service. So overall, I recommend visiting this place. I plan to order their bento meals on my next visit!
I'm really happy that this Japanese restaurant finally opened! I've been waiting for quite some time for a good Japanese place this side of town (there was one before, in Tuscany row as well, but it closed). I've been here twice already and it hasn't disappointed me so far. Food is really good! It reminds me of Nihonbashitei, only the place is much newer and smells better. The service staff is polite, although a bit overworked (they do get a lot of customers throughout the day). Servings are mostly good for sharing, even their ramen, so value for money. Japanese customers come here so you know it's good!
I absolutely loved the atmosphere here especially the cherry blossom feels just outside the place. We dined outside though so i had a few mosquito bites. Nevertheless, the food was great. We ordered a tonkatsu, salmon sashimi, gyoza, tempura and a teriyaki beef. They were all delicious although my personal favorite really was the salmon sashimi ❤️ the staff members were great and approachable too, as well as the owner himself.
