Met up with my friends at he Uptown Mall BGC for dinner but can't decide where. Stepped out and there it was... Tim Ho Wang! Surprising no long waiting queue and we got a table right away. Ordered the Set B menu and didn't know what to expect. So happy we did choose this place that day. Them pork buns are EXCELLENT! When I'm back in the Philippines I'm sure will be dining with you and trying more from your menu! #happytatti #happytummy #pinayinabudhabi
Service was good and staff were friendly. Waiting time for the food was fast enough. Food was delicious though the rice wrap of the hakaw (shrimp dumpling) was little too thick. Other than that I think the staff had a shortage of Chinese spoons. Otherwise it was a decent experience.
I super LOVE the Pork Bun and the Pork and shrimp dumpling. I LOVE all the food!. I made a vlog about it on my YouTube channel JLives7. Definitely recommended!
Food was superb as expected. Service was fast also. Though each item is cheap, you still end up paying a lot because you’ll be ordering a lot to feel full and satisfied, which makes it kinda expensive eventually.
Our orders:
Chicken wings, crispy shrimp beancurd roll, hakaw, congee and spareribs rice. Comfort food!
We normally come here for a quick noodle and dim sum fix after work and so far, the food has failed to disappoint. The fried custard is very good and it is a plus that we can avail of a buy 1 take 1 offer with another app. The rice toppings may look small but I have been pleasantly surprised by how filling they can be. The shrimp dumpling is a must have along with the pork siomai and the spare ribs.
Food are good but nothing special, except for their baked bun. Staff are accommodating and were able to serve us as expected. The place is not crowded during our visit, around 3-4pm.
See food vlog here: https://youtu.be/tRrfKa0WS14
Has the best prawn dumplings and steamed pork buns, just don’t order anything else. I ordered rice with beef and egg. It is the total opposite of their signature dishes. Their desserts are good, however, to remove the umay.
Had dinner last night with family to celebrate send-off of my brother abroad. Ordered the following:
Wasabi Salad Prawn Dumplings
Beancurd Skin with Pork and Shrimp
Baked Buns with BBQ Pork
Pan fried Radish Cake
Prawn Dumplings
Spinach Dumplings with Shrimp
Chow Mein Stir Fried Noodles
We feasted on these and were happy of how good the food is, as usual. We tried to check Chef's Basket (group meals) but some of what we liked weren't included in the selections so we ordered individually.
Always a good eat at Tim Ho Wan! Baked Buns and Prawn Dumplings are always the stars in the menu! 😊
Our go to dimsum restau whenever I crave for dumplings.
I have been to their SM North and Glorietta Branches and they were all exceptional. Love this new branch in BGC since I just live in the area.
My fave would always be the Prawn dumplings, Vermicelli Roll and the Spinach dumpling with Shrimp. Yum!☺️
Aside from it being open until 3am, I like this place because they serve their food fast and warm. I love those prawn dumplings.. 5 thumbs up! it's super soft and yummy. The pork dumplings with shrimp are also great. Their steamed egg cake is good too specially if you'll pair it with the rice porridge (I forgot what its called). I'm not that hungry when we went there maybe that's why I did not get amazed with the spares ribs rice. I also liked The super soft and tasty chicken feet. One of the best!

Tim Ho Wan has become our go to resto. Their food is yummy and the service is good! It could’ve been great but there are still some kinks that needed to be ironed out... like some staff scares you from ordering anything from them... they don’t smile and they do borderline roll their eyes at customers... haha! Either way... there are staff that smile the sun at you as well... that’s why we keep coming back! Oh and their spare ribs rice is my tummy’s bff and wants a shoutout! Keep coming back! Its worth it. :)
Huge selection of nicely prepared, high quality Chinese dishes. Not as expensive as I thought. Can be a little bit crowded so reservation is a must.
I had the nice congee and, several dimsums with shrimps and greens.

I don’t actually know where my photos went,
but this place is a gem for times when you want to remove your drunkenness. Not too drunk but, Chinese comfort food at its finest. I appreciated the dimsum here and the small serving of freshly made Beef Brisket. It actually looks small but it’s big in the tummy and meat so tender.
I remember so vividly, taking a lot. But they photos disappeared probably because I have one too many. But this place that is open until 3AM is really good. I ate so much that my drunkenness, not too drunk, just the right kind, put me into food coma. I was so full that I can’t remember how much I really ate. We vegetables so fresh with their ever awesome sweet sauce, the Beancurd Skin with pork and shrimp and the spring roll with egg white is so crunchy and basic we had to add a second round, I didn’t expect this to be that great as I have tried so much Chinese before but this one hit the spot because we were too hungry and craving for just plain food, no specifics. I don’t always eat congee too but, we were able to finish two bowls with 2 beef brisket orders. I don’t know what’s gotten into me that I have to lose the photos in order to further describe my experience but, this one was a great one considering that, we were celebrating my boss’s birthday and was accompanying it to midnight. I’d surely come back for more of those new menu items like the chicken feet and the pork dumplings in spicy sauce. I’ll come back for the pictures I would like to show you, hopefully soon.
Need we say more with the pork buns? Also the shrimp vermicelli is a favorite.Every item on the menu I think is worth a try. They serve in small portions though 😅
Tim Ho Wan is one of our fave restaurant to go whenever we are craving for dimsum. They serve wide range of dimsum. Good ambience and nice for dimsum brunch.
The freshness of their dimsum, speed of service, and their good value makes this resto my go to place for a quick meal. Located at the ground floor of Uptown mall.
Finally, my fiancé and I ate here for late lunch. The place is still busy and jam packed but we were able to get a seat for us immediately. Everything we’ve ordered are must-try. There’s always been a hype for their Baked Bun with BBQ pork. It’s as big as the palm of my hand and sooooo delicious. The bun is delicate that a light pressure might crumble it to pieces. The filling is so good. Also their chili oil and chili paste really compliments the dish. The prawn dumplings and shrimp siomai were also good too. There were real prawns and you’ll know that they are fresh because it pops in your mouth when you chew.
I finally tried Tim Ho Wan and it was wonderful!!!
We ordered prawn dumplings, pork and shrimp siomai, pork bun, bogo deep fried milk custard, chow mien noodles and pork ribs rice. Everything was delicious but my favorite were prawn dumplings, deep fried milk custard and pork bun!! It was affordable but serving was only good for 1-2 person. Service was fast and staffs were accommodating.
Keep up the good work!
Tim Ho Wan (Chinese: 添好運) is a Chinese dim sum restaurant chain that originated in Hong Kong. It now has 20 outlets in nine countries including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Australia. This is a place to try if you are feeling “chinese” tonight 😉 Delicious 👌
Great food, great service as always.
Beancurd roll, baked buns and radish cakes are definite must trys. Coming back here is always a simple yet great experience.
One of the best congees I’ve had. My forever comfort food! I just hope they could improve serving time because it can get a bit off in the evening.
Writing this makes me miss their Baked BBQ Pork Bun. They’re really good, I can eat all three buns by myself. I haven’t tried their other dishes (other than the hakaw and siomai) because the baked buns are what I always eat there.
Tim Ho Wan is such a great place to get pretty good Chinese food while not shelling out too much from your wallet.
I always love the prawn dumplings here. For me they're always a must order along with their pork buns! The pork buns are so tasty and has such a great texture. I love them so much. 😍😍😍 their rice meals are pretty good as well and very much worth it. 🤗
I can eat their pork buns all day, over and over again because they're TOO GOOD. Enjoyed their congee as well! Great taste, generous serving size, and good value for money. I like their airy interiors and fast customer service as well.
Tim Ho Wan is one of my go-to Chinese restaurants since they serve good food at affordable prices. Orders also come in quickly.
Dimsum aside, my favorites would be the Tofu Pork Floss, Braised Chicken Feet in Abalone Sauce, Poached Fresh Green with Oyster Sauce, Baked Buns with BBQ Pork, and Congee with Lean Pork, Century Egg, and Salted Egg. Theirs is tastiest congee I've had so far; the flavors are spot-on and well-balanced.
Tip: You can order their Beef Brisket Noodle Soup after 10pm.
While eating we can enjoy the musical fountain outside, it’s really relaxing.
All food is small portion like a snack, my favorite one is bbq pork bun, super good and everyone will order it. Service is good :)
This is not my first time here. I don't remember what I've had previous times, but here we go.
We came here because of their "Chef's Specials". It turned out they stop serving it after 10pm (the place is open till 3am). We still stayed to eat here, so we'll probably come here again.
I ate the following items:
* Steamed Egg Cake
It was really nice. Puffy at matamis (just the right amount of sweetness). Reminded me of my granny's cakes, even though she wasn't Chinese.
* Beancurd Skin Roll with Shrimp
It looked big on the picture but in reality it's really tiny. That said, very yummy, although I wish it didn't have coriander because I hate it. It has shrimp, though, and that's already a win.
* Baked Bun with BBQ Pork
Super yummy inside. The bun it self is a little bit sweet and I wish it wasn't. Too many things are already sweet and I don't like savoury sweet stuff. All in all, because of the filling, it was very tasty.
* Cold Barley Water
Sinabi ang nobya ko dapat iyon ay hindi masyadong makapal pero gusto ko pa rin. Reminded me of the morning rice Korean drink a bit.
I'll be back very soon for the special menu!
It’s my first time to try Tim Ho Wan. I usually like to eat veggies when I go to a Chinese restaurant. Tim Ho Wan is known as one of the best HK restaurants because it is recognized by Michelin. Visited Tim Ho Wan at Uptown Mall about 12nn on a Saturday. There were not much people that time but people started to come after I went. Ordered prawn dumpling, spinach dumpling, pork dumpling, fried chicken wings, and pork ribs with rice. I enjoyed spinach and prawn dumpling. The ambience was also good. Food was served for about 5-10 minutes.
One of my fave restaurants and this is my fave branch since it's near my house. I love the food with its affordable price. My favorite are congee and salted fish skin.
Food is ok but I have had better in other Chinese restaurants. I was surprised of the affordable price but even more so with the amount of serving per dish. But on a positive light, the amount could be pleasing for those watching their diet. Also, MSG in the food, if any, was not strong very fortunate for those allergic. I may come back but not too soon. But I want to commend our server Glenn who was very attentive and kind. Thank you!
Update: They currently have a Chef's Special menu available until 10pm. I tried the laksa soup with fish cakes. It was so so. I didn't fancy it that much. It lacked that coconut milk flavor that SG laksas have. They also used fresh chilis which aren't as good as dried chilis. The serving was quite tiny for the price too... But tbh everything they serve is tiny.
At fist I thought the pork buns were just a hype but I understood why they're famous when I tried it. It's sweet, salty, and a little tart. Those buns are packing flavor! Anotber dish I recommend is their brisket soup. It's perfect for a rainy day. Their chicken feet are fun to eat and super good too!
Mabilis ang pag-serve ng food. Sana lang mas pala-smile ang mga staff in general :) masarap ang food. Gustong gusto ko yung Prawn Dumplings and Spinach Dumpling with Shrimp. Yung veggie with oyster sauce masarap rin, crunchy and fresh :) more power Tim Ho Wan Uptown. God bless! :)
Pork Buns, Radish Cake, Dumplings, Vermicelli Shrimp and Fried Noodles are delicious. They have a lot of dimsum choices but only a handful of rice meals. Spare ribs rice was good but I'd like more choices and more vegetable options.
Finally I was able to try their baked bun with BBQ pork. Becasue when I was at their other branch, I still have no idea that it was their bestseller. And it really is. So far the best pork bun I had ever tasted.
The place is clean. Waiters are fast. Food is great, as always. Highly recommended.
Dumplings, dumplings, dumplings!!! Yes, dumplings and PORK BUNSS! Start with the pork bun, it's the best one you ever tasted. It's soipao on a bread with crunchy and sweet taste! And then try the dumplings! I live for the prawn dumpligs and the spicy one. THE BEST HUHU!!
Along with that we got some noodles and rice and some dessert, it was okay. BUT TRY THR DUMPLINGS and PORK BUN! Pork buns so good that I had to take home another order!!
Price is okay, I didn't find it expensive when I keep on ordering food, but when u got the bill, oops my bad. But it was worth it, I'm so full i had to take home other left overs.
(lame photos sorry, didn't bring my cam)
Whatever happens -- ALWAYS GET PORK BUNS. They're sweet and savory at the same time! For rice meals, I recommend the chicken, sausage and mushroom or the spareribs. Beef and egg is also good, but not as tasty as the previous two. Along with my rice toppings, I also like to get either prawn dumplings or dumplings in spicy sauce. Even if you get 2 or 3 dishes, it won't be too expensive as nothing costs above 200. Definitely a good casual place to get awesome Chinese food.
The food is nice and the ambiance and the staff too. I love their pork buns. The best talaga yon. So kung medyo mabilis mabusog, hinay kay pork buns, malalaki yon hehe. Hakaw is sikat too. The last time we ate here with my colleagues, napunta kami sa medyo masikip na area, siguro dahil madami kami. Ok din ung lightings sa dine area, di nakakasilaw, hindi din madilim. Mas ok din sana kung mejo well ventilated. Overall, good job Tim Ho Wan Uptown Mall branch :) some of the flod we ordered are in the pic :)
We ordered tim ho wan thru food panda and the taste is still amazing! The place in uptown is usually full so we decided to have it delivered.
We ordered 6pcs baked buns with bbq pork, chow mien stir fried noodles, spareribs rice, braised chicken feet, rice with chicken, sausage and mushroom.
I loved everything that we ordered especially the pork buns and we'll definitely order again! #happytummy 😋😋
Tim Ho Wan never disappoints! It has really become one of my favorite since it came to our place.
No wonder why people are always ready to line up every time we visit their restaurant. My requisites for every visit would always be their Shrimp Dumplings, two or three orders maybe, their Pork Dumplings with Shrimp, the Pork Buns course, and I interchange between the Chow Mien, or the Chicken, Sausage, and Mushroom rice!
Their famous pork buns are the bomb! I always make sure to order these preciously baked creamy yet savory buns! Other menu items are okay. Servings are relatively small.
The food made me remember my childhood! 😊The noodles was tasty! 🍺 Everything was soo delicious! I will bring my family here and share the incredible food! 😋
Tim Ho Wan Never disappoints! This branch stays consistent with the taste of the other branches but what gives it an edge is it operates until 3am due to its location. I recommend all their dim sum and beef tendon noodles. Tim Ho Wan also has my favorite chicken feet if you're into that.

Love this branch because it is huge, clean, spacious and less crowded than other branches plus it is open until late for those midnight cravings or to statisfy those after-last-full-show-movie hunger pangs. And who doesn’t love dimsum, right? My top 3 favorite things to order are: 1) Pork Buns, 2) Spareribs Rice (even better than Le Ching’s, in my opinion, which used to be my fave), and 3) the oh so yummy Deep Fried Custard Milk - just the name can make one drool right!
Food is always delicious. Dishes are always cooked just right; not over cooked, chewy or dry.Their Siomai (Pork Dumpling w/Shrimp), Spare Ribs Rice, Beancurd Skin Roll w/Shrimp & Baked Buns are a must! Service is good, plenty of seats and always clean inside.
A good choice for dim sum favorites. Happy also they have on their menu to white thick noodle with shrimp filling topped off with a light/sweet soy sauce that is reminiscent of hakaw but a different take of it. Spareribs on top of rice is also a great choice from their menu. A happy food place for a quick and good meal.

Always one of our favorite resto at uptown, plus the fact that they open until 3am. 😊
Prawn dumplings is my favorite! I can have just that all day!!!
Ordering wise, it so easy as you already picture how food looks like and I get to mark down my own order. No too many questions had to be asked by a waiter/waitress upon ordering, it makes the process easier that I marked down what I want and they just had to repeat it once for me to confirm if all are correct. It is also great that serving time does not take too long.
PS: Photos shared are taken on two separate times we dined there.
Ambience:
Restaurant has plenty of seats with different table sizes. Daytime light coming through the windows is relaxing, and good thing it isn't direct; it feels like morning at lunch time. It's also well-ventilated like other branches so far.
For first-timers, each table has order sheets. You'll write down the quantity of each item you want and food photos are available on the paper placemat.
Food:
Congee with Lean Pork Century Egg & Salted Egg is good! I know it's just rice porridge but I still enjoy the thickness of it. Salted egg is the best part and the century egg works like a flavor-enhancer since it comes in tiny pieces.
Cold Barley Water was interesting to try since I've only had it warm elsewhere. It's okay but I think I'm fine with water. It has some weight as you drink it but not like a shake; feels like drinking guyabano.
Dimsum - I'd recommend any. All I've tried are excellent!
Pork Buns - Must have at every visit.
Service:
Waiting time was reasonable. They gave typically good service but nothing out of the ordinary. I wish I got my change faster because I wanted to give my table to the 3 groups around me asap. Everyone was giving me glances, including one of the other servers, and I just wished the change could teleport to me instead.

I will always be Tim Ho Wan’s pork bun fan so I’m still giving it a 4. All the other things on the menu I would have enjoyed eating somewhere else. plus service needs to improve so badly. Staff weren’t quick to attend considering there were just 3 tables filled that afternoon.
This is one of my favorite restaurants especially this branch since they close late. I love all the food in their menu, plus the service is excellent! My experience with several branches is the same, all of them have good service. If we have comfort food, I have comfort restaurant, which is Tim Ho Wan.
Tim Ho Wan will always have my heart swelling, just as swollen as their steaming, hot hakaws, and pork buns! 😄 I had a chance to dine here with my dear friend. It was her treat, and that made this Tim Ho Wan trip much more enjoyable. 😀 Special commendation for this branch too, as they are open even at the wee hours of the night, latest is at 3:00 am! Talk about catering to cravings at any time.
Tim Ho Wan is definitely in the family's list of reliable restaurants to go to with the family and balikbayan visitors.
Their menu is pretty straightforward. Their prices are friendly on the pocket . Their food is simple and delicious.
Of course their michellin-starred pork buns are a must try. "Kopi-roti coffee bun meets hen-lin" is the piggery's description on these famous buns and they mean that in a good way. I think they are on point :)
Dinner time for hubby and I at Tim Ho Wan Uptown Mall.
We have plans of going to HK in the summer so this was sort of a comparison review for the both of us.
We ordered the Baked Bun with BBQ Pork, the Deep-fried Prawn with Minced Pork, Pork Dumplings and Shrimp Dumplings.
The place was bright and clean, the staff was a little lackluster.
Over all, it was quality food and left us very full at the end of the meal.
Love the pork buns. Dumplings are okay. Price is acceptable. Staffs are friendly, attentive and accommodating. Needs improvement on cleanliness. Overall, the experience is good.
A starred Chinese restaurant from Hong Kong, Tim Ho Wan has a small menu where each dish delivers upon expectation. Its trademark dish, the pork bun, makes people order them by the dozen (each order has three buns). The softness of the bun along with the rich flavor of the inside singlehandenly make Tim Ho Wan what it is today.
The glutinous rice is a personal story for me as my grandparents kept giving this to me while I was young. While it was from a different Chinese restaurant, the flavors remind me of them and will always have a place in my heart.
Tries 12 dishes in total.
FOOD - my personal favorite and best dim sum in Philippines so far.
AMBIENCE - all good. Surprising many flies and mosquitos.
SERVICE - Nothing to complain about.
Overalls - I was just so happy excited to have good dim sum. Once food was being served nothing else mattered. I even forgot to take pictures. Definite must try restaurant.
We were a group of 10 so we ordered almost everything on the menu so we could try everything (almost)... I paid special attention to the Pork Buns (read all the good stuff about it!) and, boy, they did not disappoint! Everything we ordered was so good! EVERYTHING! The pork buns were my favorite! I actually ate 1 order (3 pcs) all by myself 😊 the spinach dumplings were amazing! I also enjoyed the spareribs rice and chow mein noodles. Tim Ho Wan will definitely be part of my favorite Chinese place starting tonight 😊
Tim Ho Wan is my go to place for dumplings or when I am eating alone - since the portions here are good for one and I love their spinach dumplings! So, ordered Steamed Spinach Dumplings with shrimp (Php 120), Prawn Dumplings (Php 160) and Chow Mien Stir Fried Noodles (Php 130). Service was prompt and prices here are pocket friendly due to the small portion size.
A safe choice if you want to have some quality Cantonese dim-sum, especially if you are looking for a balance between quality and value-for-money.
This branch is up until 3:00am for midnight dimsum treat. Ordered the Prawn Dumplings, Pork Buns, and Pomelo Mango Sango before our late hour movie screening at Uptown Mall. Food is undeniably keeping its good quality. Love the unique burst of flavors seized in the pork buns. Price is reasonable and service is commendable.
While I was profusely using my chopsticks to grab Tim Ho Wan’s dimsum and other offerings, my tummy was grateful for them coming here to the Philippines. They got 6 branches now and counting, and hopefully more Michelin star restaurants land in our shores!
The price points here are friendly but one could get carried away. Each order is just around Php 200, so you might get to stretch your budget unknowingly.
I and my friend have been to their other branches, we only got what we already love and just enough food for early dinner. We shared their well received juicy Chicken, Sausage and Mushroom Rice (Php 170), staple and packed Prawn Dumpling (Php 160), tasty Vermicelli Roll with Barbecue Pork (Php 190) and a relatively new item with a kick, Wasabi Prawn Salad (Php 140).
I suggest going for some touch of their own version of wet but not greasy chili and instead of the usual soy sauce, have the sauce they serve with the Vermicelli Roll. It is not as salty, it is more watery with a more distinct taste.
To fully enjoy this Hong Kong flavor, sip too any of their two teas, bolder Oolong or light Jasmine for just Php 60 per kettle.

This is my favorite branch of all Tim Ho Wans in Manila since they have a different selection of menu after 10pm. It's worth checking out if you already love dining at Tim Ho Wan
I am a sucker for Chinese food and Tim Ho Wan would be that one Chinese restaurant that I would instantly think of to steam off that craving. It is delicious at the right price. My usual orders would be Hakaw, Siomai and Beancurd. New found favorite is their Beef Brisket and Tendon Noodle.
My only comment is that their billing out process is so long. Other than that, I always enjoy my visit to Tim Ho Wan.
Affordable and tasty.
The pork bun and custard cake is what I really love.
Plus this branch is open until 3am, it's great for people who have Chinese cravings during this hours. 💛
PORK BUNS ARE FOREVER!!! And the Oolong Tea is divine 😭😍
I learned a new trick for the pork buns, you can poke it and put chili inside to add some spice! Also the vegetable dumpling is a must try! It is refreshing!! I love it dearly. The serving of the congee is small but I really love it especially after a good night out to escape hangover 🤐😬
Nonetheless, I love Tim Ho Wan. It might be priced high but I love going back for more taste of my favorites in this restaurant.
Tim Ho Wan has been my staple quick Chinese food cravings. Glad that they opened in BGC.
I have to compare the service of this branch from Glorietta's. Their queue is fast but disappointing. They write your name then call you out and once they called your name and did not appear, they will immediately cancel it. They should have provided for a number card or take the customer's digits. It was not even a minute (I assume) after they called us ( we were standing near their door while waiting to be called), the staff crossed out our name. I asked why she cancelled it, she didn't have a good response. Anyways, she still gave us the table.
The service is quick but seemed unorganized. They sometimes forget to cross out the ones they have already served.
At bill out, we've waited for forever to get our OR and change, ended up leaving the place without taking it.
We ordered our favorites : hakaw, spinach and shrimp dumpling, tofu with pork floss, congee, and hot tea.
Hakaw is really a must try! Just be careful though coz it's served really hot!
Spinach and shrimp dumpling is so tasty too.
Tofu with pork floss is my favorite. It's crispy from the outside but inside is soft and tasty. This is too hot too when served, be cautious!
Their congee is bland. Just ask for calamansi and you're good to go, or add some sauce that they provide for.
Another must try here is their pork bun. Although the one in Macau is way better, their pork bun here is at par.
If you like a weird but interesting mix of flavors, try the vermicelli with peanut sauce.
Order the hot tea after eating, this is good to help you digest all the food you ate.
Overall experience was good. I suggest that the management change the queue process and tell the staff to bring the OR and change as soon as they can (we literally waited for nothing here).
Food is good. Taste generally comparable to Gloria Maris and other genuine dimsum place. Quantity is small but this allows you to order more variety so its ok if you are a group or family. Congee is very good.
I like Tim Ho Wan cause I believe it is very reasonably priced for the quality of the dishes that they serve. This is definitely the place to go to satisfy your dimsum craving. I especially loved the spinach dumpling. I found jt to be very unique and flavorful! However, the only downside to dining here is the slow and inattentive staff.
