One word sums it all up! SARAP!!! Thank you Daniel Lubadahon & Faye for the wonderful experience and top notch service! The Japanese Wagyu beef, green/Red leaf lettuce salad with honey and cheese are to die for! The sashimi melted in my mouth. The Hokkaido king crab & jumbo scallops were great addition to the special menu they served for us, plus the eel served on yummy rice! Definitely a must try! Though pricey, it’s worth it! Quality Japanese cuisine at its best! I will definitely go back! What an awesome experience! Three thumbs up!

What I love most about this place is the ambiance and the authenticity of their food. Cooked especially by a Japanese chef and imported ingredients from Japan.

It was our second time here and we were quite impressed with the lunch sets. Okonomiyaki was still superb, but to introduce it with the beautifully crafted appetizer of salmon sushi, tofu, and tamago was a feast to the palate. I also liked how the crispy parmesan and the bread, was part of the teppanyaki experience to top the tasty salad that goes with the meal. Add miso soup and everything was truly more than you paid for. Definitely coming back.

This is hands down the best Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant in Manila! Everything feels and tastes authentic. Oh yeah, heard too that their ingredients are flown in from Japan. How can you beat that? It's always nothing short of amazing whenever we dine here

I saw this restausent several monthes ago, but as I think than I am not yet to find a great japanese restausent for a drink or rainy day, I have to admit thar I've been hesitated to visit here, moreover the running time was out of my purpose. When I thought I was so fed up with OGAWA which was concerned me as greatest Japanese in Bonifacio city, (But quite expansive-) , I tried to go this branch and it was successful. In terms of beverages, they have got a wide range of priced wines and Sakes. I can not believe the rate they've had, because of several reasons. Firstly, their food was not that too salty. Sometimes I felt the salt almost kill me and nowadays it can not be accepted like the past. They keep a profitable rate of saltiness and if you are a checking your longevity knid of people, you should visit here. For more information that could tempting you, they are preparing a clean toilet without any smell! When I started to stay here, I am started to be gratuated to meet a clean w.c and It made my feel better. As to dishes, I would not to describe more, but I wrapped up several menues. There are also a bit a lacking which means the running time, because I thought the place was quite excellant to spend a time for drinking with dearst friend or family.

This is an underrated Japanese restaurant worth splurging on. I tried the Angus and Wagyu steak course (P3,500++) and the amount of food per course just surprised me! We started with 5 appetitzers (which included noodles!) and a large serving of salad; followed by grilled jumbo prawns with lemon truffle oil; more than 100g of Angus and Wagyu steak; then okonomiyaki good for a group; assorted desserts; and coffee. There was so much food it took us more than 3 hours to finish our meal! The ambience is a bit dark and drab, but somehow it reminded me of being in an Osaka restaurant. You can choose from private rooms or teppanyaki table seating.

We invited our Japanese friends to try this restaurant so I made a reservation for Teppanyaki Table for a great dining experience.

We ordered 3 Chef Okochi's Angus and Wagyu Steak Course (Steaks in Medium Rare) (Php 3,500/course) and 1 Okonomiyaki for our little Japanese friend.

We started with appetizers. The course includes 4 varieties of starters. It has sweet tamago, salmon sushi, chicken balls, beans, a prawn, a fish and mixed veggies. I I was not expecting too much with the appetizers so everything on my plate was just fine.

Next was the fresh salad which I really liked. It was sprinkled with lots of parmesan cheese. 😍

I fell inlove with the grilled scallop during my first visit here and when I saw it again on my plate, this time with Sea Urchin sauce, I was too excited to try it and I was still impressed with how delicious it was. I like the Grilled Jumbo Prawn with Lemon Truffle Oil as well as the Salmon Eggs.

Before the mains, Okonomiyaki was served. This is the best tasting Okonomiyaki I've tasted so far.

Before I finished my Okonomiyaki, they served the mains. That time I was already full but still I had to fight to finish the battle.

Mains were served together with the garlic rice and miso soup. Steaks were so tender, juicy and tasty. The garlic rice was so good. Likewise with the miso soup.

Lastly, Japanese sweets were served together with our coffee and tea. We had Matcha Tiramisu Cake, fruit jellies and a cookie.

Overall dining experience was excellent. We were given an exceptional customer service. Aside from that, they gave us a complimentary T-shirt which we really appreciate.

Will be back soon! 😊

If you’re feeling fancy and in a great mood for Japanese cuisine, I suggest a trip here at the heart of BGC, Teppan Okochi by Mangetsu Osaka. It’s a fine dining spot with a Japanese vibe at the ground floor of the newest building, Ore Square.

On top of a central teppan counter wherein, the cooks prepare dishes while you dine, its other tables are enclosed in rooms, a feature similar to a number of spots in Japan. This enables customers to have a private experience without an additional fee or minimum consumable says Daniel Labudahon, one of the owners.

Expect a specialize offerings by part owner and Grand Chef Akihiro Okochi, a resident of Osaka. He is here to stay to serve us authentic and soulful dishes from Japan. I met him personally, a quiet yet passionate type of chef.

For first-timers, I recommend going for their set meals, it is designed to give you full on package at a superior value. The sets include Wagyu (Php 2,500), Angus and Wagyu (Php 3,500), Eel (Php 3,800), or Wagyu set at Php 5,000. One could also avail these separately of course. They even have lunch packs for regulars.

Daniel served my companion and me their elusive Wagyu and Angus set, and this kicked off with an appetizing 6 piece starter which had some dumpling, tamago sashimi, French beans, Karaage, a small bowl of Sukiyaki beef and potatoes and bacon wrapped sushi. Pardon me as I was gazing on this platter too long I did not get its actual names. Anyway. this was a good preview of a gastronomic night.

Next was their rendition of Western Caesar Salad. The difference here was Japanese crispy grilled bacon, tasty and alive on a bed of greens, crunchy young corn and lots of sprinkled parmesan cheese.

On our first entree was the Seafood Platter of fresh Japanese scallops, oysters, and prawns in bold truffle oil. The scallops were prepared the teriyaki way. As for the oysters, they were cooked in garlic butter. The tiger prawn was massive and was an amazing bite after another.

For the imported meats, A5 grade Wagyu welcomed our eyes first. It was seared and beautifully prepared in front of us. It was marbled well and its texture was synonymous to fat itself. I did prefer the Angus variety for it was lean yet tasty. Both these meats were good without an additional need for seasoning. But if you may, it comes with its own sauces. A must try would be the pink salt.

We were also served their Unajyu or unagi rice. You may choose from their superior, deluxe, or prime varieties, with prices ranging from Php 970 to Php 1,590. The eels they serve here are sourced locally from a breeder in Butuan. It tasted light, with a less smoky taste.

Another must indulge here include Chef Akihiro’s specialty, Mangetsu Special Okonomiyaki. This was a filling plate, similar to a pie. Chef's version had tantamounting toppings to boost its flavors. This could be your carbs or you could also pick Yakisoba. The noodle was as impressive with generous meats and veggies to boot.

For a truly sweet ending, we had an assortment of sweets such as their Peach Mochi, Chestnut, and Sweet Potato, which was complemented by TWG tea. TWG, a Singaporean franchise known for its hundreds of tea selections, curated Teppan Okochi its own lineup that fits its menu.

If on the other hand, you would like to drink up, you may avail from their selection fine Napa Valley wines. My friend and I were able to sip four glasses composed of red, white and sparkling wines. For this night at a reasonable price of Php 1480, we had Michael Oliver Blut, NICA Sauvignon Blanc, Murphy Goode Home Front Red and Ca'Momi Merlot.

As a whole, I find Teppan Okochi your modern Japanese dining adventure. This could be the place to impress a date or to close that important business deal. And while you are it, look for happy Chef as he would gladly pose for a photo with you.

One of the few options for legit Japanese food in BGC. Must try their okonomiyaki and yakisoba. No problem if you're vegetarian since they can make adjustments for you, and even suggest sake pairing for veggie dishes.

Okonomiyaki were so GOOD, even when cold!!! Probably the best I've tasted in the metro. I'd come back for the okonomiyaki. Also got to try their seafood (Oyster, Scallop, and Shrimp in butter)—weren't for me though. Very fatty (but good), I wouldn't recommend it to those watching their cholesterol levels, go for the beef instead. The service was great. A bit pricey, but you won't regret the money spent.
