Aghast. Food is okay, but SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. From waiters not knowing their menu, to delayed orders, and at one point, they even served us the order of 2 tables away. Also, took more than 10 minutes to serve a single beer, so we just cancelled the order. The waiters are very preoccupied with themselves, it's like they're trying very hard not to look at costumers. This place is terrible, maybe try the other branches

For Sunday lunch, we decided to have Japanese and we knew that one of the best places to go to was Nikkei.
We got to try alot!
🥘 Tataki Roll - my least favourite among the 3 rolls we got. Flavor was quite bland in comparison to the other rolls.
🥘Spicy Tuna Roll - The kick of spice was really good in this dish! The crunch on top added an extra texture that was great too.
🥘Soft Shell Crab Roll - My favorite among all the rolls! I love how the mango perfectly complements the crunch of the crab. Flavors were strong and amazing!
🥘Pollo Saltado Donburi - This dish didn’t have that much going on. It was quite bland for our liking, but the tenderness of the chicken was still something worth noting.
🥘Ahi Katsu with Tempura - A very premium feel to this one! The tuna was medium rare and was evidently very fresh! The thin lining of breading was also not overpowering. Love this one!
🥘Chifa Bao - We never fail to order this when we’re here. May have been the dish with the strongest flavor! The bao is perfectly soft and the charsiu was heaven.
🥘Tempura Moriawase - Normal tempura. Hahaha!
🥘Fideo Saltado - Probably my favorite new order. The raw egg added so much creaminess to the noodles and all the ingredients were so fresh! This is what you call a perfectly balanced dish.
Nikkei is definitely a restaurant that I will come back to over and over again.
I really love this branch, especially the ambiance and location. the food and drinks are awesome and I always bring office guests to this place for a good meal. Sushi, sushi rolls and sashimi were all good and the ceviche was done right. Only downside is that they have a few ‘for sharing’ options aside from the sushi. Usually people get a bowl then add some mains and sushi. It would be great to have some mains thats good for 2-3 persons for group diners who would like to share and taste a lot of food while dining here. Nonetheless, awesome job.

Nikkei is the right place for a chill Friday evening! With 2+2 on drinks thru' Zomato Gold! We had the cachaca based Norito and Shiso Elderflower Gimlet. Both were refreshingly good!
Papas Ala Huancaina with its mix of slow-cooked sweet potato and potato in duck fat & olive oil was good. Pollo Anticucho was excellent Chicken Skewers with tagarashiand teriyaki sauce. Lomo Saltado was a tasty sauteed tenderloin dish!

The place is neat, modern, feels like little details are important (lighting, music), most of the food tastes good, calamari tempura, potatoes calamari, tuna sushi with cheese - beautiful plating. Adamame wasn’t cooked enough. Service is really bad, house cocktail are average. Therefore 4 and not 5
It was my first time visiting the place, and the manager on duty, Kitty, was very helpful when I asked about the donburi. I got the tuna tartare bowl upon her recommendation—and it was incredible! I loved how the fried onions mixed well with the tuna sashimi. Going back for the drinks next time for sure!

Food was good. The Chirashi sushi stands out as the plating is fairly unique and they give you a generous amount of sashimi on a flat bed of rice on a black stone plate.
Only issue was that the inside acoustics can be a bit loud with a full house. Will definitely eat here often.

We chose a table at the al fresco. Would have been perfect, shy of a minor issue with Soban, restaurant next door, with their exhaust directed at diners.
Great place to have dinner and drinks with friends! Their sake sangria is good, you’ll want to get the carafe. The parmesan scallops are my favorite! The spare ribs are a must try as well!
Taste for each dish is very distinct. Loved the Gyu Nigiri!

Someone suggested that I should try this restaurant while I was walking down the classy One Bonifacio High Street Mall. Let me stop you right here and tell you.... this restaurant will satisfy every crave you’ve ever had in your entire life. The service was impeccable, or I might even go as far to say, over the top. The manager who was servicing my table catered to my every need, with many pleases and thank yous. She was obviously brought up very well. Kudos to you young and gorgeous lady! And the two servers, just incomparable! Always on time, refilling my drink the minute they saw that my glass was empty. Just fantastic. I had a delicious well made and nuanced Sake Sangria. It was so good!
The whole evening I've experienced great service, and the manager was fun, calm and satisfying as she radiates some kind of harmony to the table. The restaurant had a beautiful wooden interior design that suites it purpose well.
Now to the food.....Oh yes! Just amazing! The food is lovingly prepared and beautifully presented. The sashimi is super fresh and gorgeous to look at. The menu is varied and I found that everything I ordered was delivered to the table in short time. I had the Unagi Kabayaki, Fresh Oysters, Tuna Mango roll, Soft shell Crab roll, Chicken Teriyaki, Salmon Sashimi, Ikayaki Grilled squid, everything is top quality and tasteful. Yeah, I was really amazed!
For dessert, their Tres Leches was one of the best desserts I've ever had! This sponge cake soaked in custard cream, topped with thin layers of mangoes and caramelized sugar glaze. The cake is light and airy with a delicious sweet taste. I loved how the cream oozes out of it in every bite. So yummy!
The fusion of Peruvian and Japanese was something I’ve never heard of and I know Nikkei is still unknown to many diners. My dining experience at Nikkei Nama Restaurant was perfect from start to finish. It feels like a little hidden gem in the heart of BGC. I wish I had taken more pictures. :D
So lovers of Sushi, Sashimi, Japanese and Peruvian, if you are in the BGC area, please go to Nikkei Nama Bar, I advise you to check it out for yourself, and ask for (if I remember correctly) JEN, JEM and ERIK! :)
Nothing to complain about, it is quite expensive, but that wouldn't stop me going again as it was a real indulgence!
The restaurant lives up to this exceptionally well and is comparable to the finest dining in Metro Manila. Yes, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Ambience really set the mood for me and my girlfriend. What really stood out for both of us is the soft shell crab roll. Other than that, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely come back!

The Lomo Saltado had a very tender and soft texture. It complemented well with the sauce and vegetables around it. The chicken teriyaki and smoked salmon roll were as good and delicious. These dishes went well with the strawberry and basil lemonade.
Love the ambiance, super chill on a Sunday afternoon. But I especially appreciated the 2+2 Zomato Gold drinks offer. Highly recommend their Sake Sangria!
This is my new favorite place in the area, food are fresh and flavorful albeit a little expensive. Cocktails are also amazing, my personal favorite is Sake Sangria. I dined here 3 times in the last 15 days! I definitely will be back.
As always, Nikkei lived to up to MY expectation of great food and excellent customer service! The food was served in a timely fashion, and the staff never let up with the smile factor whenever they came over to attend to us. I hope the guys and gals here keep this up! :)
When I was reading the reviews before coming to the restaurant, i had wish there were more pictures posted in their experience. Buttt i know get it. Once you come here, you just enjoy everything. From the view, the service and the food. My boyfriend and I came here for his birthday, normally kain kargador siya sa kanin. But he wasnt able to finish the rice because the food was so filling. Dont be fooled by the looks of it that the food have tiny portions for the price. Its really good and we had to unbotton our pants after. Lol

Been here multiple times already and I must say, they serve the best spicy tuna rolls in town. The ambiance is great and the drinks are great. The people are also very accommodating. Will highly recommend to other friends and relatives.

Better get their Chirashi and Seared Tuna Risotto! Not in their menu - Kobe Beef with Sweet Potato, Burnt Cheese and Blueberries. Must try!!

We always have a pleasant time chilling here with friends because of the good food and drinks (really a value for money) plus accomodating staff! It has a nice view of the city and relaxing ambiance as well. Totally recommendable!
The food was really good. My favourite dish was the smoked salmon sushi roll. I also enjoyed the sake sangria and the agedashi tofu. I also liked the fact that they used metal straws for their drinks. Even if we didn’t have a reservation, they were able to accommodate us. No complaints about the outdoor seating. Overall a good experience. Would come back here or to their other branches!

The tuna tartare was good but the serving was a bit small. The service was fast, efficient and polite. Try to get the Happy Hour 20% discount by eating 4-6pm! Would definitely come back!
Tried their new location in BGC! Outdoor seating was nice to appreciate the city view esp during the cool rainy season! Had the old favorites like parmesan scallops, and salmon aburi. Safe choices as always really good. Tried Panko roll, a surprisingly flavorful deep fried sushi. Sake sangria went well with everything. Servers catered to every need!
Really yummy food! We ordered the Nikkei Tiradito (white fish is amazing and light), the Spicy Tuna Roll (so basic but never disappoints!), the Parmesan Scallops (really yummy and worth it), and the Tuna Tartare Donburi (really good plus the poached egg was perfect). Definitely coming back. Great ambiance and friendly staff too

I super liked my Tuna Tartare Nama Bowl. Friends who ordered the Buta Bowl also enjoyed it. Nori Tempura that was part of the dish were a bit stale and uncrunchy. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
A Nikkei fan but it’s my first time to visit Nikei Nama Bar in Bonifacio High Street. As expected, food was amazingly good! My favorites from our orders were the Gyu Nigiri and Chicken Teriyaki! Loved their flavors! So happy we got to use our Zomato gold for 2+2 drinks! Strawberry lemonade all the way!!!

Nikkei serves one of the most extraordinary Japanese fusion food in Manila. First of all, the service was really good. The presentation, to the taste of the sushi were superb and just everything including the ambiance was really really nice. It may be a bit pricey but for me it's all worth it.
Craving for some cocktails and some bite sized eats so decided to hit up this place. If you’re a Zomato Gold Member, you get 2+2 for drinks. The food is great! It’s Japanese-Peruvian Fusion. All the dishes we ordered were flavorful. I loved the Ceviche.
Loved my visit. Great ambience overlooking Shangri-la Fort, cocktails are yummy and surprisingly strong (tip: it's 2+2!), and the smoked salmon roll is so good!!! Service is excellent too. Will definitely be coming back.
