It is one of my default places for Italian Cuisine. The quality of the food is consistent from the start that it opened until now. Cozy place to catch up with friends or have a meeting.

I booked a special dinner date for my in-laws because it was their anniversary last Sudnay. I’ve been anxious at first on how their date would go (thinking that I wouldn’t be there to assist them) but it went well as planned with the help of the restaurant’s staff. I am grateful to Lisa for keeping notes of all my requests and for assisting in making my in-laws date a very special one. It was their first visit and they said that they loved the place, the ambiance and the food. Food portions are generous and are worth the price. They kept sending us the photos of their dinner date and these are the ones that I wanted to share. 😊

The staff here was absolutely fantastic. Even when we left our table momentarily, our napkins were folded and hung on the arm of our chairs for our return. I personally enjoyed what I ordered (truffle tortellini) but the rest of my company felt the portion sizes were ridiculously small for the price. I agree, for things like soup, there is no excuse to give just a small ladle-full portion if the price is 3x the average amount of soup and the restaurant is not a Michelin or anything of that sort to warrant such tiny portions. Another ordered the skewer set and was given a small plate of tiny meat skewers that were honestly a laughing topic for our party. Sangria was absolutely divine, however the sticker was left on one of my apple slices which may detract more critical guests from the experience (I personally didn't mind it since the portion, presentation, and taste of the sangria was delightful).

Truffle is loooove. 🖤 I enjoyed the Spaghetti con Panna e Tartufo. The Agnello Alla griglia, charcoal-grilled lamb chops, was flavorful but would have preferred it to be cooked medium-rare. I liked their Iced caffe latte too! 👍🏻

Great place, a bit pricey though.

4.5 out of 5. For four main dishes which amounted to less than 3,000 php, we were more than full and satisfied with the following:

Margherita, 680 php. Eight slices. 2-3 pax.
Spaghetti al Ricci di Mare, 450 php. 1 pax.
Risotto al Parmigiano e Vino Rosso, 550 php. 1 pax.
Porchetta, 650 php. 1-2 pax.

Seatings are spacious, and there's an open kitchen with a large brick oven to allow you to see your food being made. Given its open layout it can get pretty lively if you're looking for a more intimate setting, but this is still a great place for date night, or if you're just feeling like having some good, authentic Italian food.

Wow, just wow. This place is pricey as hell but the food is SO GOOD. Would highly highly recommend if you're looking for a place to splurge.

My thoughts on what you should get:
1. 12" DOC pizza: OK, for 850 pesos, this pizza is EXPENSIVE. When I saw the price, I was pretty shocked - I mean it's basically tomato, mozzarella and basil... But it's supposed to be award winning and the costly price is due to them importing all the ingredients from Italy so I guess why the heck not? Omg. It's so good!! I'm not a crust person, but this crust is heavenly - with a lovely doughy texture. The mozzarella isn't overpowering and practically oozes in your mouth, while the tomato and basil add a nice burst of flavor when you bite into the pizza
2. Sea urchin pasta: Serving size is pretty small... But the texture and consistency of the pasta is definitely interesting (it's neither cream nor tomato based), and the sea urchin definitely makes it different from the other pastas I've tried before
3. Beef cheeks with mashed potatoes: Again, very small serving size (like 3 pcs of beef cheeks only!) But, wow, the beef cheeks are so incredibly tender and practically melts in your mouth. The mashed potatoes have been mashed finely with no chunks of potatoes left for your teeth to snag on. Just perfect!

Overall, our bill for 3 came out to PHP 2400. Pricey? Heck yeah! Worth it? Definitely. Will I come again? For the next special occasion...

We ate on a Friday night n i can say, this place had a lot of patrons. They even had someone singing while playing the piano starting at 9pm i think. I forgot the name of the singer but she was good.

About the food.. we had salad n salmon to start with n i tried their beef cheeks n my friend had gnocchi. They were both good but i found the serving a bit small..

But the ambience n crowd made up for everything.
Its a big place to have party celebration as well.

Will defenitely go back.

We craved comforting Italian flavours so we ordered Beef Carpaccio and a Veal Cheeks and Mash in red wine sauce. Loved the low-key, pristine touch to flavours, letting ingredients shine as naturally as possible.

I'll always love raw mushroom over raw beef.

The veal cheeks were a treat - finely cooked and placed over silky potato puree.

I wanted more puree. Ha ha.

Mini reunion with HS friends. Large corner location with high ceilings and open plan. Cool. Warm welcome and preppy waiters. Check. Then the complimentary rolls with EVOO came and caught my attention. Warm, tasty and probably best I’ve had. This could be a special meal, I thought.

I wasn’t disappointed. Appetizer, salad, pizza and pasta were all great tasting, presented impeccably and served hot. The Italian white paired well, too.

Highly recommended.

Superb staff! And their Ossobucco is to die for! It is also my first time to try Seaweed Zeppole (free bread basket) and it's really good! Aside from the Ossobucco,we also ordered Gorgonzola e Porchetta Pizza (nothing special), Spaghetti alle Vongole con Zucchine e Pomodorini (💯) and Tagliatelle con Crema di Salmone Affumicato e Spinaci (💯). They are opening another branch, soon, at The Podium.

I barely took photos because the place has the upscale vibe with the dimmed lights during dinners. I feel it too scandalous to turn on my camera flash. But for countless times I have been here, the only time I was disappointed was with lamb chops, as it was nothing special, especially for its price. The antipasti were all decadent and made with carefully selected ingredients to present a special gourmet cuisine that warms your heart and makes you feel at home, despite its fine dining aura. My favorites are Caprese, Bruschetta, the Tartufo Nero. This is my favorite choice when some friends from abroad come over and would want to celebrate on a fancy but homey style.

Uptown Parade, the new area in Bonifacio Global City has been producing more and more anticipated restaurants in the area. One of these is the highly anticipated Salvatore Cuomo. Although this branch is yet to be accredited by the Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana, Chef Salvatore Cuomo already has 3 other accredited restaurants in Asia that served the “True Neopolitan Pizza”.

I'm a New Yorker. I grew up eating New York pizza 7 days a week. So it is no small thing when I say that the pizzas at Salvatore Cuomo - while obviously not New York style - are some of the best I've ever had. Proper ingredients, properly prepared, and consistent from one visit to the next.

As good as the pizza is, the pastas might be even better. On my most recent visit, with a friend who has traveled a lot more of the world than I have, said that he'd be happy to be served Cuomo's pasta in Italy.

On this last visit, with three friends, we ordered the Mozzarrella di Buffala Caprese, the Italian coldcut platter, the Insalata Amore, the Prosciutto e Rucola pizza, a plate of assorted yakitori, and the Spaghetti alle Vongole. When the server brought the dessert menu, we opted to order another pizza (the four cheese) instead. Together with two bottles of wine, the bill came out to around P9,700. And the next day my friends all thanked me for bringing them there.

I've eaten here several times now, my experience has been excellent each time and it remains one of my favorite spots in Manila.

Went here because I was craving for some ricotta cheese in a pizza. Ordered Calzone and DOS pizza and mango shake. Food was great. Not the best italian restaurant I've been too, I had some nice spots in sydney. but it's Authentic italian restaurant in manila! Nice ambience very classy and relaxing. There's a piano performance which makes the place very cozy. Staffs are very accommodating and friendly too! the pasta dough was freshly baked, I would try more of their dish.

I want to highlight first and appreciate the interiors of the place. It has a modern and classy vibe that will appeal to groups, families or dates. It has a bar area with nice leather seats, and also a dining area with long tables.
I came with my wife's family so we ordered 2 pizzas and 2 pastas. As always, I appreciate that free bread was provided. The pastas were a little bit underwhelming. I found that it lacked sauce (at least for the Amatriciana). The truffle mushroom pasta was good, you can taste the truffle flavor. For the pizzas, we had 4 cheese and gorgonzola e porchetta. The 4 cheese was a little bland, and I was looking for more sharpness in the cheese. Fortunately, the gorgonzola pizza more than made up for the taste. I'm not sure if it was the porchetta but there was something really flavorful in it. I would definitely recommend it. For dessert, we ordered the choco walnut mousse which was so-so.
Overall, I was happy with the dining experience and I'll come back to try their other dishes.

We decided to have lunch at Salvatore Cuomo and right outside the door was this huge poster announcing their lunch buffet for only Php 600 per person, what a lucky day! Despite the affordable price, food quality was not at all sacrificed. The lunch offer comes with a main course, and a buffet spread containing appetizers, salad, pizza, and drinks. I chose the pancetta bacon and mushroom risotto for my main course. Serving size of the main course was quite small but it didn't really matter because there were a lot of other dishes to choose from at the buffet. The chefs would go around the tables offering freshly made pizza and they tasted amazing. Will definitely be back!

Pretty big place actually. It’s good for romantic dates and even for barkada night outs. They have private rooms too. They have a wide selection of drinks, perfect for those long days. Music is live played with piano. Overall, I will surely come back and eat here with my friends.

The place is swanky. I love the furniture, the seats are comfy, it wasn't crowded, there’s enough room in between tables. They have several sections subtly delineated with the different furniture they use. I really like the interiors. Loved the cutlery and the glasses. You get a loud, Japanese style, Italian language greeting when you enter (of course), and it sounded like they were shouting the number of people in our group.

I like their rib eye, 4 cheese pizza, complimentary zeppole, and their butabara.

I felt so bad the risotto and the bistecca florentina was not good, considering this t-bone alone was 4500. It was chewy and not tender at all.

Happy 2nd Anniversary to Salvatore Cuomo & Bar in Uptown Parade, BGC. They are up for treating their customers for a Special Pizza and Lunch Buffet for the P600 (weekdays) or P900 (weekends/holidays). This is your chance guys because honestly when you order  per ala carte at Salvatore it will leave your pocket empty. Their prices are a bit high but it’s worth it, imagine you are dining in a premium Italian restaurant of Chef Salvatore, A known Chef who introduced the authentic Neopolitan Pizza in Japan.

Salvatore Cuomo and Bar celebrated its second birthday last June. As part of its month-long anniversary celebration, you get to enjoy some of Salvatore Cuomo’s signature dishes without leaving you bankrupt after. For the price of P600 (weekdays) or P900 (weekends/holidays) you can indulge in their Anniversary Special Pizza and Lunch Buffet which already includes Italian appetizers, fresh salads, pizzas, drinks and  one main course (pasta).  They have several pasta dishes offerings which I will also post below.

Modern Italian decor, open industrial kitchen highlighted by a customized pizza oven, good Italian food, an extensive wine list and courteous staff is what highlights this prime find of a restaurant on the corner of 9th and 38th

Best tables for me would either be by the floor to ceiling windows or near the open kitchen bar.

We were here for a private occassion, with their on-going lunch time buffet offering for their Anniversary promo. Choices were not as extensive but bets on quality? With several choices of fresh from the oven pizzas, antipasti, some mains, soup and salad bar. There was a small dessert corner with some selection for drinks.

For the mains, I got to try the Lasagne, a delicious layering of pasta and rich and creamy tomato and melted cheese.

I had the best Porchetta, melt inyour mouth, with crispy skin, rolled into perfection, a memorable dish indeed.

The oven roasted Chicken was also good.

Overall I would love to be back in this place to try their other offerings😉 Good for family weekend get togethers, dinner dates and power lunching with collegues or clients

My wife and I spent our 8th anniversary here and it was amazing! Ordered the bruschetta (super tasty) the spaghetti amatriciana (the pork was crunchy and spiced really nicely) and the mixed meat platter (every morsel was just a delight for the taste buds). But worth even more than the scrumptious food was the wonderfully attentive service that spoke of the amazing training the staff had. I rarely give a 5 but this resaurant earned it quite easily. Will be coming back...often.

Always wanted to try Salvatore Cuomo, as I alwas passed by it. I soon learned that in my visit is that they serve authentic Italian food and a bit of authentic Japanese food as well. The place itself screams of sophistication and class although their prices is at par with some restaurants. Salvatore Shigata is known as “the pizza man” and they boast themselves for the authentic Neapolitan Pizza.

We were offered their month long anniversary celebration of their lunch buffet (P600 weekdays and P900 on weekends). Italian appetizers, salad, pizzas and 3 types of juices are offered for their buffet while the others are ala carte orders for pasta and with an addition of 300 for meat or fish.

We were given the opportunity to taste all the ala carte orders from the Pasta which were the authentic spaghetti carbonara,Pancetta Bacon and mushroom Risotto,Home made lasagna, Spaghetti with Clams and Zucchini, Gnocci in Tomato Sauce, Grilled seafood skewers, Pan fried Salmon with Mediterranean Sauce, Home-made roasted pork porchetta, Oven roasted chicken with balsamic and mustard sauce. For dessert we had the Chocolate Walnut Mousse (P320 a favorite) ,Cannoli(P280), Amaretto Pannacotta with Fresh Mango Sauce (P320), Torta de Fruta (P320), Tiramisu with Pistacchio Gelato (P420), and Chocolate Souffle with Latte Gelato (P320)

All the pastas were delicious, there is no wrong answer to the question of which pasta should you order. I specially liked the risotto and Spaghetti with clams. For the meat or fish I specially loved the Salmon with Mediterannean sauce as it was delicately prepared has this foodgasmic salmon umami taste. The chicken was another favorite as it was well roasted in the oven yet still remained juicy, the mustard sauce was a good tweak of flavor for the chicken as well. The porchetta was a best seller as it was consumed minutes after taking pictures of it. The seafood skewer was delicious and grilled perfectly.

Talking about dessert I specially liked the dark chocolate taste of the Chocolate Walnut Mousse, it wasn’t too sweet as I expected but it was super tasty and really cleared my tastebuds. The canolli was hard to break but was delicious, I specially loved the pistachio bits. The tiramisu with pistachio gelato was another favorite, the pistachio gelato was magnificently made from scratch and had the taste of pure pistachio goodness, pair it with the coffee taste of the tiramisu to balance the flavors. Lastly was the chocolate soufflé which you can never go wrong with, sweet strong taste of rich chocolate paired wit the latte gelato to reduce the sweet aftertaste, a wonderful treat to your tastebuds.

Favorites: buffet of course, salmon, chicken, porchetta, soufflé, chocolate mouse, tiramisu with pistachio gelato.

Food 5/5- Everything was freaking good.

Service 5/5- Knowledgeable on their food and on point with amentities.

Price 4/5- Price is a little steep but worth it.

Ambiance 5/5- Window light is magnificent and at night it’s still well lit. You can feel the classy ambiance all through out the room.

Went here since we were too early for clubbing, the place seemed nice and the ambiance is quite romantic. The place itself has that feeling that you are in an expensive place. Haha!

We were greeted warmly by the staff and they seem sincere about it. We were attened by Stella and shes quite attentive to our needs. She also has proper knowledge of the menu and what could be our liking would be.

We only had wine here while waiting. Ordered Elfo. Wine is great and the price isn't that too steep, but i think barcino offers cheaper variants of wine. (although i am not sure since i dont order wine that often in restaurants, i only take these in house parties.)

I like that the place.
Would probably come back if i will be back in the area of uptown, although there are new restos opening this is one of my favorites already.

As Salvatore Cuomo & Bar in Uptown Parade celebrates its first anniversary, it offers an Anniversary Lunch Buffet worth P600 from 11 am to 3 pm. Diners can choose from a wide range of Italian appetizers, salad, pizza, and drinks.

Among some of my favorites in the buffet include the Peperonata and the Marinated Pumpkin. The Peperonata consists of roasted yellow and red bell peppers with olives that is sweet and earthy. The Marinated Pumpkin is soft and can be cut with a fork or spoon, with the sweet pumpkin taste giving way to a smoky finish.

I also recommend the Margherita and the Quattro Formaggi (Four Cheese) pizzas. The Margherita, with the red, white, and green of the Italian flag, is a mild wonder of melted cheese, tomato sauce, and basil. The Quattro Formaggi can be enjoyed by itself, or with some honey for sweetness to contrast the saltiness of the cheese.

For the pasta, I enjoyed the Spaghetti Carbonara and the Pancetta Bacon and Mushrooms Risotto. The Carbonara is creamy but not too sweet, and there are golden brown bits of pork for a savory crunch with each bite. The Risotto is a wealth of taste and textures, with the bacon and mushrooms offering both crunch and softness before being enveloped in the rice.

Last, I suggest the following for meat and fish: the Pan-fried Salmon with Mediterranean Sauce and the Oven-roasted Chicken with Balsamic and Mustard Sauce. The Salmon's pink flesh is tender and mild, with just the right amount of sweet and sour thanks to the sauce. The Chicken is richer in taste, with a strong sour note thanks to the balsamic vinegar and the mustard.

Salvatore Cuomo & Bar, a worldwide Italian restaurant with a touch of Japanese cuisine, recently celebrated their first anniversary here in the Philippines. With this, they're treating us with an Anniversary Lunch Special — Pizza and Lunch Buffet!

Enjoy all you want from a wide range of Italian appetizers, fresh salad, pizza and drinks. Choose one main course from their pasta, fish (+P300) and meat (+300) for only P600 from Monday to Friday; and P900 during weekends and holidays. Good deal, right? 👌🏻

We were invited for a Zomato FMU to try their Anniversary Special, and to top it off, they served us each of their main course. Here are my top picks —

APPETIZERS:
🍽 Zeppole — These little babies are deep-fried pizza dough with nori. So good and tasty, I've read that generally Zeppole is a dessert or a doughnut but Salvatore Cuomo's version is savory and bread-like, perfect with butter or dipped in balsamic vinegar.

🍽 Cauliflower Gratin — Okay, I've heard and eaten Potato Gratin, but Cauliflower? Hmmm, interesting and quite the healthier version too. One bite and I was sold! I loved the thick and creamy sauce, plus the cauliflower was soft and cooked nicely. Not overly cooked and still has that crunchy texture you'd come to expect in veggies.

🍽 Fried Potatoes — aka Friesss! Loved this one because even though it's on display and a bit cold already, it's still tastily good and retained its crunch. Not sure how they did it and kudos to them! 🍟

PIZZA:
🍽 Quattro Formaggi — I'm a fan of anything cheese so this pizza definitely called out to me! This is best eaten while hot and with a light drizzle of honey.

PASTA:
🍽 Spaghetti Carbonara
🍽 Homemade Lasagna
🍽 Pancetta Bacona and Mushrooms Risotto
🍽 Spaghetti with Clams and Zucchini
🍽 Gnocchi in Tomato Sauce with Cheese and Basil
🍽 Tagliatelle with Italian Sausage and Broccoli in Cream Sauce

I liked that they have a nice selection of pasta from spaghetti, risotto and gnocchi. But I'm a white-sauce kind of girl and I'd go for the Tagliatelle. The white sauce was creamy and thick, and the sausages added a nice kick to the overall flavor of the pasta. Another good one is the Gnocchi, it was soft and chewy.

FISH:
🍽 Grilled Seafood Skewers
🍽 Pan Fried Salmon with Meditarranean Sauce

I'd go for the salmon under the fish category any day! It was soft and well-seasoned.

MEAT:
🍽 Homemade Roasted Pork Porchetta
🍽 Oven-roasted Chicken with Balsamic and Mustard Sauce

The chicken with balsamic sauce was a nice surprise. Chicken meat was tender and has a salty outside. Went well with the roasted potatoes that came with the dish.

DESSERTS:
🍨 Tiramisu with Pistachio Gelato
🍨 Amaretto Pannacotta with Fresh Mango Sauce
🍨 Cannoli
🍨 Chocolate Walnut Mousse
🍨 Torta de Frutta
🍨 Chocolate Soufflé with Latté Gelato

Okay. So it's kinda hard to choose a favorite among these amazingly good desserts. I think I'd have to go for the Torta de Frutta and Chocolate Soufflé. I loved the different kinds of fruits in the Torta de Frutta, it was refreshingly sweet. And the Chocolate Soufflé was perfectly paired with the Latté Gelato. Just sinfully good.

The place is huge with a classy ambiance. Service was superb and the food's great. Head on over to Salvatore Cuomo and catch their month-long anniversary special! 💯👌🏻

You can be forgiven  for mistaking Salvatore Cuomo  for Salvatore Ferragamo. After all they are both premium Italian brands. But while the latter is into expensive and luxurious leather products, the former is famous world wide for its authentic Italian food and a sprinkling of  authentic Japanese food.

Salvatore Cuomo is the Italian-Japanese chef that made this happen (in partnership with the sane owners of Chili's).

The place has been serving authentic Italian dishes for more than a year now and to celebrate their anniversary, they created a special lunch buffet for P600 (Mondays thru Fridays) and for P900 (Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays) from 11AM to 2PM. This just made the place affordable as compared when getting a la carte so make sure to try it out!

The buffet includes an array of appetizers i.e. salad, 2 kinds of pizzas, fries, 1 pasta, zeppole (mini bread which has seaweeds. Yummy! Perfect with an olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip), different kinds of vegetables (the pumpkin and the cauliflower were my favorite!) and a soup.

The lunch buffet also lets you order one of the mains from the menu. You can choose from 6 different types of pasta, 2 fish dishes (additional P300) or 2 meat dishes (additional P300).

Pasta Dishes:
✔️Spaghetti Carbonara
✔️Pancetta Bacon and Mushroom Risotto
✔️Homemade Lasagna
✔️Spaghetti with Clams and Zucchini
✔️Gnocchi in Tomato Sauce with Cheese and Basil
✔️Tagliatelle with Italian Sausage and Broccoli in Cream Sauce
****All the pastas were delicious but I really liked the risotto. The stock was flavorful. The bacon added a nice texture to the whole dish. FYI, all their pastas are made from scratch!

Fish Dishes:
✔️Grilled Seafood Skewers
✔️Pan Fried Salmon with Mediterranean Sauce
****Both dished were good but I'd go for the salmon.

Meat Dishes:
✔️Homemade Roasted Pork "Porchetta"
✔️Oven Roasted Chicken with Balsamic and Mustard Sauce
****Both were really yummy but I am going for the chicken. Looking at the portion, the pork seems bigger but I guess the balsamic and mustard sauce with the roasted chicken just blew my mind away as you can taste a little bit of sourness and sweetness there.

For drinks, you can choose iced tea, lemonade or detox water.

Ambiance, the place is huge. Thanks to the tainted glass, it's not too bring in the morning. Definitely a great place to either have business meetings, catch up with your family and/or friends or host a special event. It's posh!

Theme of the meal:
1. Too much of a good thing is bad.
2. Price is more for quality of ingredients than taste.

The food was great. They say too much of a good thing is bad. Well that was pretty much our experience in Salvatore Cuomo. It was one good thing after another, too much maybe We were filled to the brim and not wanting anymore.

Started our food journey with Caprese con Mozzarella di Bufala. It was a caprese salad with Buffalo Mozza. You should maybe skip this as it was nothing special. It was good, but not special. The hefty price was more for the quality of the ingredients used rather than the taste.

Frito Misto, the seafood was fresh and tasty. The lemon was the perfect addition.

Assorted Yakitori, it was a bit out of place in the menu but if you consider the history of the restaurant (it started in Japan), it makes sense. So-so.

Quattro Formaggi, drizzled with Honey. One of the best thing we had. We also had Salsiccia e Funghi, the sausage was very tasted. The pizza crust's texture and taste was more reminiscent of a Naan than a pizza crust. It was chewier and a lot oilier.

Fettucini ai Scampi, the scampi was huge and tender. The sauce tasted of the sea, fishy and a tad briny, in a good way. We also had Spaghetti alla Amatriciana, it was nothing special. The pasta was good, but skip it as the price again is more for the quality of the ingredients rather than the taste.

Tiramisu with Pistachio ice cream, the Tiramisu was okay but it could be better. We also had Chocolate Walnut Mousse, the Mousse tasted great, I didn't care much for the walnut crust.

Overall, the restaurant served good food. The ambiance and the service is 5 of 5. You will not be disappointed with the quality of the ingredients. But if you do want to make the most out of your experience, maybe search the net for the best dishes here

Can't get enough of the complimentary bread basket of focaccia and zeppole. And they give a lovely serving!

Salvatore Cuomo, an Italian-Japanese chef opened his namesake restaurant in Uptown Paradise, BGC just last June 2016. He is famous for using the highest quality of ingredients and the most traditional of techniques to honor his homeland. The restaurant has a fully-open kitchen that one can marvel on the skills of the chefs; and a spacious and comfortable dining room where one can relax and lounge. Truly, one can experience the best of Italy here.

We were there last Sunday night; and after reading some reviews we had some high expectations on the restaurant and let me tell you that they didn't let me down.
Yes, the restaurant can be perceived as pricey for the Philippine's standard (Php 2K+ per pax); however, the quality of what you get is worth what you pay.
Service was slow and restaurant was 90% full. we had to order the next sangria immediately after we received one, in order to avoid to be too long without a drink and fort the first we had to follow up with the waiter. The waiters make an effort on speaking Italian; but it's a little bit annoying that they shout every time a customer leaves; you are not in Fridays or in a fast food chain; so, that i would change immediately. those shouts interrupt any conversation you might have.
Getting back to the food... Food was great and you can taste that ingredients are good quality.
the overall experience was a 4/5; Food 4.5/5; Service 3.5/5; Ambiance 4.5/5.

Salvatore Cuomo is a premium Italian casual dining restaurant named after Japan's "Pizza Man" himself. Cuomo was born in Naples, Italy by an Italian mother and Japanese father and spent his early days training under Naples' finest pizza restaurants. He introduced authentic Neapolitan pizza in Japan, blending traditional Italian cooking with Japanese perfection, and was rewarded by queues of hundreds of people craving to get a taste of Italy.

Cuomo is a celebrity chef in Japan making multiple appearances in TV programs with hundreds of namesake restaurants around the world - all serving quality food and premium service. It used to be very difficult to find a premium, authentic Neapolitan cuisine in Metro Manila. Now, we are lucky to have Salvatore Cuomo.

All of Salvatore Cuomo's pizzas are baked in a custom-made oven shipped from Naples, Italy which a combination of local beech wood and imported composite wood that gives a unique taste and texture to the pizzas. How much more authentic can you get?

Salvatore Cuomo recently released a new Lunch Menu with far more affordable prices when compared with when you dine in for dinner. The dishes below introduce some of their lunch menu favorites with lunch prices.

Here's what you can expect from Salvatore Cuomo's Neapolitan lunch menu...

An Italian restaurant like no other!

I've been wanting to visit Salvatore Cuomo for a while now since I've been hearing a lot of good things about it, especially their cheese pizza. I got the opportunity to go with some of my foodie friends a few weeks back to try out their lunch menu (which is basically the same as their dinner menu, but in smaller portions). I like the idea since it makes everything more affordable, especially for the folks who want to spoil themselves during their lunch break without breaking the bank.
I was surprised to discover that the restaurant originated in Japan since everything they offer is Italian - with a lot of their ingredients being shipped in straight from Italy, so you're getting the most authentic versions possible. It's pretty much like dining in Italy where quality is key.

Salvatore Cuomo is undoubtedly one of the priciest restaurants in BGC so I'm
amazed at how it's always jam-packed with people. Oh food is very very good. They use the highest quality ingredients like imported Japanese cherry tomatoes and so forth. A modest meal for two can easily set you back over P2k. We went with a big group so we can order more dishes and share.

The place is posh. It’s the type of fine dining restaurant you bring people you want to impress to. I immediately noticed the open kitchen set up. You can see how they go about preparing food while waiting for your own order.

Their complimentary appetizer called Zeppole is a must-try. It’s fried dough that’s super chewy with just a hint of salt. It’s served with a bit of olive oil for dipping on the side.

We started off with Caprese con Mozzarella di Bufala (P750). I’ll be the first to tell you that for the price it’s a really tiny serving which I can easily finish by myself. What makes this dish so special is the incredibly juicy and sweet Japanese cherry tomatoes. That and the extraordinarily milky mozzarella cheese. Yum but woot, you're almost at P1k and there's no way this will make you full.

We also had Tagliere di Affettati (P960). It’s a typical cold cuts board with parma ham, salami, and mortadella ham. It’s served with sundried tomatoes and olives on the side. It was okay, but I’d rather order something else with P1k.

The revelation of the night for me was the Quattro Formaggi Pizza (P770). You’d think it’s just cheese and dough. But wow, drizzle the honey over it and take a bite. The combination of savory and sweet is a heavenly treat for the taste buds. This really is worth trying.
It's so simple yet so addictive that it's genius.

Our other pizza was D.O.C. or Denominazione di Origine Controllata (P850). It’s kinds of like a Margherita Pizza except that again it uses the Japanese cherry tomatoes and milky mozzarella. Chef Salvatore Cuomo adds some basil and a splash of olive oil and voila! Light and just right. Not really life-changing enough for P850 though.

After the pizzas, we had pastas starting with Spaghetti Carbonara (P480). It was light and savory, not at all cloying, the way authentic carbonara should be. They use pancetta instead of regular bacon.
We also had an olive oil-based pasta, Spaghetti ai Funghi e Salmone Affumicato (P490). It has salmon pieces, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Love how all the spaghettis we tried had perfectly al dente noodles.

They said that Tim Yap’s favorite dish is the Zuppa di Pesce (P1,400). It’s a vibrant tomato-based seafood soup with lots of mussels, clams, fish, prawns, and squid. I found it oddly comforting. Plus points because there’s no fishy scent or taste.
But whoa I won't order it again because it's too expensive lol.

Of course, we had to have meat! For that we tried Tagliata di Manzo (P1,800). This is a pretty straightforward grilled steak dish with basil sauce and parmesan cheese. The beef is of good quality and well worth the money. I daresay the steak at Salvatore Cuomo is better and a bit less expensive compared to the one I tried at Atelier Vivanda.

For dessert, we tried Tiramisu with Pistachio Gelato (P380). Smooth and decadent pistachio ice cream with this creamy coffee cake proved to be a winning combination. Then we had Amaretto Panna Cotta with Fresh Mango Sauce (P320). Light, milky, and delicious, just the way I like my Panna Cotta.

Totally loved the food at Salvatore Cuomo. The dishes are all characterized by a clean taste and the flavors come beautifully together. Yes it’s pricey, but they do fine dining so well that it’s worth going back to. A great place for date nights and special occasions.

Interiors are very well appointed love the long wooden table we were on. Open plan theater kitchen is very organized and a show in itself as food is prepared in full view of the diners. Italian Japanese cuisine not a combination I'd think of & sadly we only tried the Italian side of the menu but it was excellent!! Pizzas are delicious, made from simple but fresh ingredients, plus the oven gives them a rustic finish. I particularly love the restrooms with the Toto Washlet fixture - bery Japanese!

Salvatore Cuomo is probably one of the most awaited restaurants this year. Celebrities, high society and foodies alike cannot help but go crazy over this well-known food establishment owned by restauranteur and celebrity chef Salvatore Shigeta or more popularly known as Salvatore Cuomo. I wanted to visit it on its first days of operation but I was eying another restaurant at the same time and went with the latter. I told myself that I will visit it when there’s an occasion given its relatively steep prices for its mouthwatering dishes but with all the positive reviews I read here and there, I just have to visit it ASAP.

We started with Tagliere di Affettati (Php550), a selection of traditional Italian cold cuts, which included fine slices of Salami, Prosciutto, Coppa, and Mortadella. They tasted as fresh as the ones I had in Italy. We also relished on Mozzarella di Bufala Caprese (Php750), fresh buffalo mozzarella pieces and cherry tomatoes. The silky cheese is so soft and the tomatoes are sweet and refreshing. It is a recommended dish to start any meal.

The pizzas here are classics. They are made in the most authentic Napoli-style. The dough is not crispy but chewy, and the center is soft. The proper way to eat this kind of pizza is to fold it in half and eat. Here at Salvatore Cuomo, pizzas are cooked in a brick oven, made in Italy and from the volcanic rocks of Mt. Vesuvius. The thin-crusted dough highlights the quality of the toppings, mostly imported from Japan and Italy. Buffalo Mozzarella and Japanese cherry tomatoes are used as base toppings for their pizzas.

We first sampled on Margherita (Php580), a flavor that symbolizes the colors of the Italian flag. It is made with marinara sauce, basil, and mozzarella. Simple use of ingredients that highlighted its freshness.

We also tried Quattro Formaggi (Php620), the four-cheese pizza. Eating it with a drizzle of honey provides a unique yet true Neapolitan experience.

For a meatier flavor, we feasted on slices of Porcini e Porchetta (Php590). The succulent chunks of Italian pork roasted to perfection, partnered with the earthy taste and silky texture of the porcini mushrooms provides a rich and balanced flavor, and with the freshness of basil leaves, bring out the best in this dish any pizza-lover will truly enjoy.

It probably won't be an Italian restaurant if they did not serve any pasta dishes. Here at Salvatore Cuomo, you can get them as authentic as their pizzas. Their pastas are made fresh everyday and use the highest quality of ingredients to bring out the best of each sauce. The Tagliatelle al Crema con Gamberi e Spinaci (Php390) is my top choice on the menu. The wide and flat noodles are covered in lemon cream sauce then topped with shrimps and spinach. It tasted refreshing and healthy and is best for people who just wanted a light snack, without being bloated.

We have tried several main courses as well my personal favorite is the Agnello al Griglia or Charcoal-Grilled Lamb Chops (Php950). My favorite would be the lamb chops because of its melt-in-your-mouth tenderness and smoky flavor with a hint of that charcoal aroma. The charcoal used to grill their meats is from Laos, who is known to make fine, export-quality charcoals. This dish is truly worth coming back for.

Other must-try dishes include Filetto di Salmone Gratinato al Vincotto or Pan-Seared Salmon with Vincotto Sauce (Php750), Cotoletta di Vitello alla Milanese or Veal Cutlet Milanese-Style (Php480), and Tagliata di Manzo or US Angus Ribeye with Balsamic Reduction (Php980).

A feast is not a feast without desserts, and Italian desserts are worth saving space for. Try their Tiramisu with Pistachio Gelato (Php380): made with real coffee and Mascarpone from Italy, this soft and moist cake has real flavors that won't disappoint. The cool chiffon just slides down your throat that would just give you a sigh of satisfaction. It comes with a cup of pistachio gelato which adds a little creaminess and sweetness to it.

Since you're at it, do also try their Amaretto Panna Cotta with Fresh Mango Sauce (P320). The cooked cream tastes like Chinese-style almond jelly, only softer. The mango chunks and sauce adds flavor to the dull dessert and lights up the mood. Torta Caprese or Chocolate Walnut Cake (Php380) is a moist walnut chiffon in a fudgy ganache that is rich yet truly satisfying. It is so addicting that a slice will never be enough.

This is probably one of the restaurants in Manila where diners can expect authentic Italian Cuisine, prepared with the same quality service as with any other Salvatore Cuomo in the world.

Chef Salvatore Cuomo takes pride in serving the most authentic Neapolitan Pizza in Manila that is cooked in a huge brick oven (Oven is made from Volcanic Rocks from Mount Vesuvius) How awesome is that?

Their menu doesn't just limit you in having the taste of Italy during dinner but you can also savor one delicious Neopolitan meal during Lunch!

Lunch Menu price is more affordable but quality of food is still the same. With this, you can have your favored dishes on smaller portions from 11AM to 5PM Mondays to Fridays. Meals are Lighter and suited for Business meetings and group lunch outs.

Lastly, everyone will love Salvatore Cuomo's ambiance. A fine dining feel but you can still go casual.

Lately, The Food Crawlers are getting slammed with invites, definitely more than I can be physically present for with my current work schedule. But our good friend Joey's events are always fun (and she keeps us well-fed too), so her invitations are always pushed ahead of the queue and never get lost in the shuffle.

Salvatore Cuomo is an Italian restaurant and bar located at the corner of 38th Street and 9th Avenue in BGC. It has recently developed a special lunch menu that we were only too happy to try.

Tagliere di Affettati - The meal started with a beautiful plate of traditional Italian cold cuts. It's on the menu as Tagliere di Affettati, and is comprised of salami, mortadella, coppa, and prosciutto.

Mozzarella di Bufala Caprese - I've had several run-ins with the caprese salad before, mainly during catered company lunches and dinners and business trips. I can remember only two that I really enjoyed. Salvatore Cuomo's Mozzarella di Bufala Caprese is one of them. I kid you not, the cherry tomatoes were fresh and sweet, and worked well with the mozzarella cheese in keeping us in our seats while the main course was being prepared.

Porcini e Porcetta Pizza - I'm no food snob, so I wouldn't deny loving my meat lovers pizza. If you find yourself in this place and looking for something familiar, then I would recommend the Porcini e Porcetta Pizza. Savory slices of porcini mushrooms and roast pork atop a layer of gooey mozzarella cheese and a warm, soft crust.

Quattro Formaggi Pizza - Because one pizza is not enough. Salvatore Cuomo's Quattro Formaggi Pizza is SERIOUSLY DELICIOUS! It has the softest crust of ALL the pizzas I've had so far. Don't forget to drizzle some honey on your slice before that first bite.

Grilled Salmon - Despite the crumbly topping, I thought the grilled salmon was perfectly cooked. And I wish I had asked the server what was in the glaze/sauce because that was wonderful too.

Ribeye Steak - The steak was cooked perfectly, though I wish steamed rice was an available option at this restaurant.

Tiramisu - I love the tiramisu! It has a bold coffee flavor, not too sweet or rich, so it is not as cloying as your usual tiramisu dessert.

Get together for a weekend dinner before one of my friend will go back to Japan. We dined in super uber cozy place in Uptown Parade in Bonifacio Global City called Salvatore Cuomo & Bar.

Salvatore Cuomo & Bar originated from Japan, having branches in China, South Korea, Taiwan and now in the Philippines.

This is not my first time in Salvatore. I was here last year with foodie friends. That's why I recommended the dishes what I've tasted before.

A Basket of Zeppole (complimentary) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5
"I am so addicted with these tiny herb breads. Putting olive oil around of it makes the zeppole more flavorful."

Quattro Formaggi (4 kinds of cheese pizza) for Php770.00 - ⭐⭐⭐⭐️⭐ 5/5
"Honestly, when I had this pizza last year, I don't like it because it's already cold. But when I tried the pizza with honey while it was hot. Gosh! Ang sarap!" 😋

Butabara Yakitori (Pork Belly) for Php210.00 (2 pieces) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5
"Always be my favorite in Salvatore. The juiciness and yumminess of pork belly barbecue was really appetizing."

Spaghetti ai Funghi e Salmone Affimicato (Spaghetti with Smoked Salmon, Mushrooms and Olive Oil) for Php490.00 - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5
"The oil based pasta was tasteful and I like the texture of the pasta "al dente"."

Tagliata di Manzo (Ribeye Steak served with Basil and Parmesan Cheese) for Php1,800.00 - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5
"The beef was so tender. Best served in medium rare to taste the beefy goodness of the grilled ribeye."

Porcini e Porchetta (Roasted Pork) for Php720.00 - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5
"It was roasted evenly although it's not that crunchy as expected but the pork belly meat was so tender."

Yes! It's EXPENSIVE (Be sure to have money before ordering)! But you will experience superb service from their accommodating staff.

Service is the first thing that I have noticed when I first set foot at this restaurant. Their staff are very attentive. They would change your plates and would refill your water without being called.

The place also has the best cheese pizza. I usually don't like cheese pizza alone since it usually tastes salty. We ordered their cheese pizza with honey and it tastes excellent. Just the right amount of sweetness and saltiness. I would definitely recommend the cheese pizza.

Ever since i saw the tarpaulin of this restaurant while the construction was still on going, I always tell myself, I am going to eat here! As a follower of Chef Salvatore on fb I have a glimpse of what this guy can do and how excellent he can cook.
My college friends were also wanting to try this restaurant so we visited together.
I can't ask for more when it comes to ambiance; fine dining environment, dimmed lights, wine bottles and wine glasses everywhere , relaxing music, very accommodating staff and the bar in dining area *which is my favorite part* really looks very exciting! This is my kind of place!
Food were good but not as much as I expected. We had Fettuccine ai Scampi, Stewed Pork Cheek in Red Wine, Roasted Chicken with wine and Lemon sauce, Spaghetti alla Carbonara *which was the least i liked, too salty for me* , their signature Quattro Formaggi pizza drizzled with honey *my favorite!* and almost all of the flavors of their fresh fruit frozen *infused with alcohol* which was quite average and made us struggle drinking the whole night. I suggest they order customized long straws instead of combining regular size straws to make a long one. It just looked good for me. No offense but as a restaurant professional I can make a frozen cocktail better than these.
Overall, Im happy with the service and ambiance but the food were below expectation considering the price.
Will surely be back for the pizza and maybe some risotto or steak next time!

Finally got to try this restaurant. We just walked in so we were just able to get seats at the bar (tip: make reservations since they get full). But it was still ok since the ambience and the service was great.

Now to the food. We ordered their carbonara and D.O.C. Pizza (they recommended this). I loved their carbonara. The sauce was not creamy and just the right level of lightness. I also liked their panchetta that complemented their carbonara well. As for their pizza, we also loved it. The cherry tomato made all the difference. No wonder this is their specialty.

Great food. Great service. Great ambience. Highly recommended for dinner dates.

This is probably one of the best examples on yielding rich flavors from the very best, freshest and finest ingredients, no matter how simple the dish. Take the Caprese con Mozzarella di Bufala (P 750), a simple and rustic traditional salad with plump cherry tomatoes, premium mozzarella, basil, and olive oil. The simplicity of the dish can be deceiving, it's dishes like these that demand more attention and only the finest ingredients. And Salvatore Cuomo & Bar's version is one of the best in the metro. The D.O.C. (P 850) recreates the classic Neapolitan-style pizza, with its spotted scorch marks on the thin and crisp crust topped with ripe cherry tomatoes, basil and bufala mozzarella generously drizzled with olive oil for fresh and clean flavors. Pair it with their Fettuccin ai Scampi (P 850) for a perfect pizza and pasta combo. The handmade noodles and the creamy tomato-based sauce add layers of comforting textures and distinct sharp notes, capped by the briny sweetness of the large prawns. At Salvatore Cuomo & Bar, even the simplest dishes come alive with fresh and vibrant flavors, proof once again that the finest and freshest ingredients are all you need to deliver rich flavors.

Been seeing this on my friends post and got to try it with my girlfriends before going to the Anniversary of Valkyrie.

Their portion was for sharing. Heard their 4 cheese pizza is good so we ordered it. Additional were Risotto, Clams Pasta and their salad were all good!

Their price is a bit expensive but when you are a lot it's worth the money, plus eating in BGC you already expected that it's a bit pricey.

This is a very classy restaurant with their service staff aptly complementing the ambiance. Started with zuppa d funghi and although good, the serving size needs to improve. They are known for their pizza, we tried the porcini e porchetta and we were not disappointed. If you've been eating those famous delivery/commercially made pizza and compare it with this, you'll realize that the former has bastardized this dish! The resto host claimed that they make it the traditional way. Also tried the tagliata di manzo, but was rather neutal on it. Should have just gotten another pizza.

Been seeing posts about this place so my friends and I decided to try it. Located at Uptown Parade, not in the mall area. The ambience is really nice, very hip. It's an Italian restaurant with Japanese influence. The lighting is very nice. I love places with Open Kitchens and high ceilings of which this place has both. Feels like a bar in New York. They provide baskets for the ladies where you can place your bags, to me this is a great idea. The service is great. Down to the food. To start, they serve bread, looks like mini donuts(munchkins from dunkin) that was good. We tried the Tagliere Di Affettati which is an assortment of parma ham, salami and mortadella ham, Just OK. Then we had to try their Pizza, they suggested their best seller, The D.O.C (like a margherita pizza)tasted bland, not great. For the Yakitori we tried the assorted(5 kinds) they give you a choice of the skewers topped with the salt or the yakitori sauce, we chose the yakitori sauce but my other friend who tried the skewers with salt said it tasted better. The most satisfying was the pastas we tried, Got the fettuccine scampi and the spaghetti vongole. But It’s good for one, not for sharing. The Dessert was good, we had the tiramisu with ice cream and the flourless chocolate cake, a bit bitter but good. I would come back to try their other dishes but I’d skip the Pizzas.

An Italian restaurant with Japanese influences, as they describe themselves. Lovely setting with open kitchen and high-ceilinged industrial design. Service is very attentive and lively with the 'Bueno Sera' and 'grazie arrivederci' shout outs to arriving and departing guests.

I had a glass of good Italian wine - Elfo Primitivo - and my partner had a glass of Prosecco. We shared a hearty Minestrone soup with their complimentary bread and olive oil. Followed by a Marinara pizza - which is tomato sauce and garlic pizza. Very good pizza. We tried an order of Sasami Yakitori- chicken breast fillets. This was just ok.

The Tiramisu with Pistachio Gelato was great.

Excellent addition to the BGC restaurant scene.
