Gringo joins the foray into ready-to-cook meals.
Cook your favorite Gringo staples in your own kitchen. Had a go at cooking their Smokehouse BBQ Baby Back ribs the other day...
Great ambience perfect for a group dinner and quick catch up with friends. Food were really flavorful and quite satisfying but a little pricey especially for the crab because it doesn't have that much inside of it that you can eat. Main dish served in medium portion and the sides were of really small portion that is enough for a single person.
Overall, worth the price and still one of those mid-range restaurants that you'll find in BGC.
Have been to this branch twice already and the reason I keep on coming back is the food.
I've tried their Gringo Original Chicken and BBQ Ribs. Must try is their Mashed Camote side 🤤. They have a variety of sides you can choose from and I like that they have healthy options. I also like the fact that the chicken and bbq ribs meal comes with some nachos. I like their salsa, there's a bit of tangy taste to it, must be lime. It tastes refreshing, I really like it.
It can get too crowded during lunch and dinner though. It is not also the place to do your catch up sesh since the place is a bit too crowded most of the time and a bit noisy. You can have your lunch or dinner here then transfer somewhere else for your chit chats.
I only knew about this when I was looking around for places to eat around BGC and it was one that came up. Reviews were okay so my hubby and I tried it. Honestly, I am not a fan of Mexican dishes but I liked it in here. The food was amazing and the staff were also very accomodating. They even offered to take our pictures. The meal portions were really big and will definitely leave you full.
Pros
+ Themed Decor
+ Large Meals
+ Reasonable Price
+ Close to authentic Mexican food
+ Amazing staff
Cons
- A bit warm
- Hidden
- Dark (subjective)
I ordered their roast chicken burrito and french fries. It tasted good and was so filling. The mexican rice inside is flavorful and has enough chicken breast pieces. The fries is crispy and thick.
Great restaurant when you're looking for a Latin American taste and tired of the sweet style chicken around the metro.
The taste of their chicken is one the highlight of this restaurant. The ambiance, location, and service were great. The price range is good and worth it for the value of the food.
The nacho grande at Gringo’s has a creative spin to it. You will appreciate a mixture of sweet, salty, and sour that truly blend well together.
This place is indeed budget-friendly, with big serving, and great taste. 👍🏻
My colleagues and I dined here at dinnertime. Nice ambiance with lovely/lively music on the background with lots of green plants (are those real?) on the walls and above the ceiling.
We ordered chicken, ribs, and nachos. For me, the taste of their nachos is different than the traditional ones. It has a "sour" spice to it, which I didn't really like but okay-tasting. The ribs are good, not that hard to slice. Chicken tastes good, too.
I hope to try the cocktails and their seafood feast soon.
kenny rogers can move aside ‘coz this gringo’s may just take over su casa. i hope i did that right.
i am but blown as to how enormous their chicken quarter was, im like, if i werent hungry - like the no breakkie eatin’ kinda hungry, i wouldnt be able to wolf down that piece. it’s as big as twi of my fists combined and my tummy’s only worth one of ‘em. good thing it’s an elastic lil sucker coz my 2 side dishes need space. yup, it comes w/ 2 sides for 265php, im like... yeah! worth it!
choose between their original and spiced flavors - though i gotta say im a lil withered when it didnt have a kicker of spice in it but their hot sauce, woah, packed a cloud of punch in my palate. i had to cough my words out.
as for the sides, im all for the sweet corn nibs but the black bean i wasnt a fan. it was on the sweet side like sweeter than pork n beans kinda sauce, the beans werent as soft as i imagined and yeah w/ the sauce, it was a lil runny thin - ok i am comparin’ to pork n beans.
ambiance, i loved ‘coz you can totally do lifestyle shots w/c i did not let pass and service was okay, but i wouldnt recommend when it’s a full house. we werent even occupying half yet reelin’ ‘em in for something took some time. still, i got all smiles from them so, i guess ‘okay’ still cuts it.
Consistently tasty, hearty, and well cooked with light/healthy side options. I’m obsessed with the lemon sauce. The original chicken is my post-workout staple!
Gringo is always the place that first comes to my mind when we're talking about baby back ribs. Aside from having big serving for our go-to orders, their Baby Back Ribs and Southern Spice Chicken, their mashed potato and garlic rice just blend perfectly together for my taste.
For the taste, serving, and value for money, Gringo is the place to go! 😊
We were having our HS reunion with 22 attendees and were hard pressed to find a restaurant in BGC who could accommodate that big a group and reservation at such short notice. Thankfully, we found Gringo's
I've tried Gringo's at Greenhills before, but I think the Burgos Circle branch is better food-wise
Given we were such a big group, we ordered multiple platters (not found in the menu) which includes their famous chicken, ribs, tacos, steak and nachos + sides of your choice, ice tea, and their mango dessert
I arrived late so I didn't get to try everything. From what I did get to try though:
- the chicken was really good! Good flavoring without need for any additional sauce. The taste is evenly spread across the chicken, not just on the skin
- the ribs sauce was very good and it was quite tender. I did feel like the ribs were quite thin though - wish there was a little less bone and a lot more meat
- the nachos sauce was very good
- for the sides, I'd recommend the mashed kamote (yummy!) , roasted squash (tastes very healthy!) and Mexican rice (for carbs)
- I didn't get to try the dessert but I heard masarap
- Ice tea can be a bit too sweet. Add a bit of water to dilute it
Also, the Salted Egg chicken skin is delicious (we didn't order it this time, and I can't find it on the menu anymore... What happened?!?)
Overall, a nice experience and a perfect backdrop to our high school reunion
Love every food that we ordered. From the Lemon Butter Crab to Mango Squid to Southern Spice. Place is a little smaller than the one in Makati. Hope they can transfer to much bigger area. Staffs are friendly and was satisfied with experience.
Midnight rib craving satisfied! Serving was plenty and I love their tacos! The food was okay, I was full for sure. Will try to eat in the restaurant next time. They catered dinner at my company so maybe the dining experience is better at the actual restaurant.
Craving Mexican? Looking for huge cuts of spiced up quarter chicken? Looking for great ribs? Huge stuffed Burritos? I can go on and on about this resto but it boils down to how great tasting the food is and the size😁A Southern spice quarter chicken with 2 sides can be shared by 2 but truth be told, it can serve 1🤗The chicken plate is served with nachos drizzled in sauce✅My fave side dishes are the Mexican rice and grilled eggplant or corn - depends on my mood. Their signature sauce is lemony and full of flavor and the hot sauce-ooooh it is sooo hot! Their huge burrito is bursting with goodness😍 it is a meal on its own👌I also love their quesadillas💕Their new dessert which is the Sticky Rice with Mango is lacking in my opinion✌️the best part? We get a discount every time we eat there(office partnership). Let’s eat! #gringo #delicious

Super delicious Spicy Chicken and Nachos with four dips.I would probably order this again and again. These are my favourite every time I came here with officemates and friends.
.
This is a perfect place to have a quick lunch or dinner with friends. The ambiance is cool with good modern music 😎. Which I appreciate since the sound is not too loud, our voices still have space to chat and laugh 🤣.
We had a rack of ribs for pick up with 4 sides: garlic mushroom, marbled potato salad, roasted eggplant, and fries. Here's a review of the food since we barely stayed in the restaurant to add it's service and ambiance to this rating:
RIBS MUCHOS: Good and plenty! The serving was very filling and you won't even need any rice or potatoes to fill you up for a split serving of these ribs. The selection of sauces were on the spicy/tangy side and I'm not mad about that. I advise you to taste them first because one of the 3 sauces was too spicy. As for the meat, it was very tender and it fell off the bone like butter.
SIDES: I loved the 4 sides except for the roasted eggplant. I wasn't really expecting ketchup/tomato sauce to be made out of eggplant when I saw what it was. It really looked like red mush with eggplant seeds and it wasn't appetizing. I paired well with the fries so I guess everything worked out well? The mushrooms could also be very well improved. They were old. Like Gloria Romero old. I don't know if it's on purpose but they were soo shriveled up and sad. If it were not for the nice garlicky flavor, they would have yucky.
We had 2 orders of Nachos Grande (P250+), 1 carafe/pitcher of mango mojito (P550+, for 4pax), and 1 carafe/pitcher of regular mojito. These orders (around 2k) were enough for the 4 of us.
The nachos were plentiful and served hot. Good service as well, though I always had to ask for water. I wish they would just serve us a pitcher on our table. Other than that, the whole experience was pleasurable given the laid-back vibes of the resto. I loved the lights inside.
One of the best nachos I’ve had! The chips don’t get soggy overtime, that for me is the most important. Topped with mozzarella cheese, meat was sweet and crispy with a nice spicy sauce. The chips were thin and crisp, it was a completely different nacho experience. The tacos killed it too! I love every bite of it.
We also had mojitos and different flavored vodka shots. They weren’t stingy on the mint which i love. Their mix is just perfect for me.
Their bbq ribs is a must-try!! Meat is flavorful and just falls off the bones.
Will definitely keep coming back to this place!
We went here after my scholarship interview, we booked thru Booky and got P300 discount for a P1000 worth of bill. We ordered the Southern Chicken, Original Chicken & Half Ribs, I can say that the food is incredible, it's worth the price. The serving is big and will leave you happy & full
Decided to go to Gringo to cure a ribs craving. We ordered the Gringo Baby Back Ribs half rack with 2 sides x2 (365 pesos each). One with 2x fries and the other with 1x fries and 1x macaroni salad. Everything was nice, but would be better if the sides were a bit bigger to get value for money.
Entire Team has been wanting to have lunch here for quite a long time and we brought foreigner friends they quite like it though. The place was nice, so chill, I'm liking the lampshades. We ordered I couldn't remember all the foods taste really good. Baby back ribs were cooked to perfection I also like the creamy potatoes and the prawns. Though the plating for me was kind of ordinary not so IG worthy however I was captured by how nice the food was. I would love to go back again. I suggest that hopefully, they expand a bit cause there was a lot of people who eat there.
What makes a night great? Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, a chill and accommodating staff, and of course friends to play games with. Gringo’s menu does not disappoint, I’ve been there twice and their Baby Back Ribs and Chicken is great! For the sides a must try would be the Mashed Camote.
I love the southern chicken, juicy and tasty. We ordered southern chicken, calamares, baby back ribs & iced tea. Servings are large and price is just right. Restaurant is filled with people and place is quite small. Hope they could improve their customer service.
The staffs were polite and were very quick in getting what we want. Big servings and delicious food. Worth every penny. Definitely going back
Their Southern Spice Chicken is delicious. Favorite sides include the Macaroni Salad, French Fries, Mexican Rice and Mashed Potato.
The Truffle Queso Quesadilla is a must-try!
This is my first time to visit Gringo. I heard so many good things about this restaurant especially their chicken. My friend brought me here for lunch.
We ordered Gringo Southern Spice Chicken + 3 sides and grilled shrimps. The servings was huge, good for 2 people. Very tasty and flavorful. I love their sauces too!
Gonna try ribs for my next food trip :)
Ate at the sucat branch with my family. We ordered 2 pieces of quarter chicken, 2 burritos (chicken and beef), cream dory aoili soft taco. I had the beef burrito and i didnt like it. It had a confusing taste, a mix of sweet and salty. I had better burritos. But i did like the chicken and the soft taco. The chicken was soft and juicy and the taco had a sweet and spicy taste.
We ordered the baby back ribs combo here together with two sides. Quite "sulit". Ribs were within expectations.
The best thing about here is the attentiveness of their staff.
I was really satisfied with our dining experience here. I love their food especially the Quesadillas. I also love their high chair. That's a big plus for a mom like me. I find the place a bit small though.
Value for money. Good tasting food. Accommodating staff and great service.
We ordered the muchos ribs with the four sides which cost only 1099 compared to TGIF and Chili's which costs around 1500++ for the serving good for 4 to 5 persons. They have a variety of sides to pair with the ribs.
The nacho grande is a great appetizer while waiting for the mains to be served. The serving is good for 4 to 6 persons.
Ambiance and lighting is perfect. I'd call it a "chill" place. Food is great. The nachos keeps me coming back for more. It is bomb! I had the half rack ribs with mexican rice and potato salad for sides. The meal is very filling and you can really taste the spice in the rice. Delicioso! (´∀`)
We tried Gringo as we saw the review here so we tried. The ambiance was great & fab ( BGC branch) They're usually jam packed as this branch is not so big. We have to wait to be seated for 15mins. But it was worth waiting, the food is great and delicious. Really value for money. To our surprise we ordered nachos and the serving is HUGE! Maybe good for 3-4pax. The chicken and sauce is just delicious🍗😍Would definitely come back!! It's really value for money.
Must try: Nachos
We ordered southern spice chicken whole. Taste was ecstatic with tipsy and spicy punch . It was really a new taste in category of roasted chicken . Sides served with this dish ( macaroni, mushroom)could have been better. Dip taste was also satisfying considering it a whole new experience. Service was prompt along with the good staff behaviour.

What I have tried during my visit?
- Nacho Grande
- Gringo Original Chicken
- Gringo Baby Back Ribs
- Mexican Rice
- Mashed Potato
- Mashed Camote
Food: Over-all, I likes their Nacho Grande and Mashed Camote. If only chicken and ribs were served warmer (or maybe the airconditioned was too cold that made the food cold immediately) I mighy have increased the rating. The ribs are tender, it can easily be eaten.
Service: Staff are friendly and accommodating. Their no. is also enough to attend with their customers need on time.
Facility: There's only one restroom but it's well maintained. I also love the smell of their hand soap that time (I'm not sure if they change the scent from time to time though). Spacing of the chair are also good. You can easily pass the table even during peak hours. During dinner, they dim the lights (but at some point during our stay, they opened again the lights after dimming it for a few minutes. Not sure why, but they tell their customers that they will be dimming the lights prior to doing it).
Value for money: Definitely! The selection of food is good. The taste is also ok. Compared to other similar restaurants which offer the same cuisine, Gringo can beat them especially in terms of value for money.
Room for improvement: I would just love it more if their food are warmer.
My go-to paydate place! 😛❤️
Perfect ambiance plus the food are all awesome! I always crave for their chicken. Just like right now while typing this, i’m officially craving haha! 😂

If you’re into Mexican deli, here’s the perfect place to go. My friend and I went here after our toxic shift, went home satisfied. The ambiance of the place is well dimly lit by wood surrounding the open space. Plus, I loved their signature pieces! Quite pricey but I’m definitely going back!

It has been my second time eating at Gringo and the restaurant has yet again, impressed me. Even up to now, I still cannot get over the Latin inspired dishes that left me with a good impression on my first visit. Gringo's branch in SM Megamall surely did not disappoint, and I was hoping to have the same or better dining experience in their BGC branch.
Gringo's branch in BGC is not located inside a mall which makes it hard to find parking. Surprisingly, the restaurant had its own valet for their customers and that the parking would be free if you spend more than 1000 php after dining in Gringo. Such a win win situation.
So it was my sisters birthday and she decided to treat our family at Gringo. It is the perfect place since the food is great for sharing, and at the same time inexpensive. My family may be a family of four, but what you do not know is that we eat way more than an average family 😂 Here are the dishes we ordered and my thoughts for all of them.
➿ Gringo Southern Spice Chicken *half w/ sides ➿ (375 php)
[Gringo's famous chicken made extra delicious with a distinctly Latino flavor]
-A generous half serving of Gringo's flavorful roast chicken. I love the blend of spices and the kick of heat. The sauces that came with it were also very enjoyable. It gave the chicken a spicy yet tangy overall flavor. Do not forget the chips at the side as well for that complete Gringo experience.
➿ Gringo Baby Back Ribs *Half w/ sides ➿ (365 php)
[An ultra-manly (and meaty) masterpiece!]
-Sweet, saucy and succulent fall off the bone ribs. I love the chariness from the meat that gives it the most extraordinary flavor.
➿Clam Chowder ➿ (185 php)
-Creamy, thick and filling. It may be small on size, but it is big on taste. The pastry on top was a nice touch too, giving the soup a nice flaky crunch in every bite.
➿Latin Salpicao soft taco ➿ (105 php)
Generous serving of beef, cabbage, and onions topped with the most indulging sauce all over a soft flour tortilla. The combination of flavors and textures played very well in this soft taco. Definitely a must try!
➿ Grilled Squid with Mango Salsa ➿ (350 php)
- Soft and tender squid topped with a sweet mango salsa to balance everything out. The side salad was unnecessary for me but it did give a nice hint of color to the overall dish. A must try!
➿Sides ➿
Mashed Camote (75 php)
Refried Beans (60 php)
Fried Saba (50 php)
Macaroni Salad (75 php)
Marbled Potato Salad (75 php)
White Rice (50 php)
- All were good, consistent and delicious. All sides are a must try.
➿Mango Cream Sticky Rice➿
(165 php)
- A Latin twist in the classic Thai dessert. This dessert has definitely exceeded my expectations. The combination of sticky rice + mangoes + sago + cheese ice cream all topped with a sweet caramel-like sauce has definitely stole my heart! All the elements fit so well together that I almost cried of how good it was. Such a great way to end an already great meal.
Gringo is definitely a place worth visiting. The quality and quantity of their food cannot be miss! So what are you waiting for? Let us go and dine at Gringo 🐔🐷

The boyfie and I overslept one Sunday and we decided to visit BGC. This place is open till 3AM which is very nice for those nocturnal peeps. I love their Mexican food so much and the special spices! Will definitely go back!
P.S Order their lemonade! So good and refreshing!
I was really surprised when I went to Gringo. The ambiance was dimly lit with wood and steel fixtures surrounding the open space.
The food:
Chili cheese fries
The mozarella melted over the chili sauce on top of french fries. It's tasty, crunchy, and very flavorful.
Full slab baby back ribs
It was tender and flavorful, and perfect with their sauce. It also has a hint of smokiness to the outer crust of the ribs.
Latin style Grilled Chicken
The chicken was cooked well, with a hint of sweetness with a rich barbeque taste.
The sides were all very tasty.
I would definitely come back and have more of the ribs and chicken.
Still one of the best go-to-places for that chicken craving! The food, flavor, and your value for money are all met! You will come in with a hungry stomach and leave with a satisfied smile on your face. Oh, and I think this place is better than Peri-Peri.
This place has the most fantastic chicken and chicken and noodle soup, and it makes me feel like home. The schedule is great for everyone and the service is outstanding.
Food: quarter of southern spice chicken with 2 sides or half ribs with sides. definitely a MUST TRY! for the sides, mexican rice and buttered corn. so yummy combination.
Ambiance: Nice interiors. backyard feels.
Service: Prompt and friendly crew. The best thing about this resto, they're very consistent with their service every time I came here.
Had dinner here with friends on a Saturday night, I'd say it's a must try! Value for money and good food. We ordered Nachos as appetizer and their Original Gringo Chicken, really good, just don't like their sauces as it doesnmt compliment the chicken for me. If you're eating here with group of friends or family better be early coz it gets crowded later at night. Good place to catch-up, bond and eat.
Giving it a four for four reasons
1. It is on the affordable side. for less than 500pesos, two people (or one very hungry person) can already have a decent meal.
2. The taste is great. The modern twist on the chicken and ribs are really worth it. You should try the ribs and the southern style chicken. The nachos is also a winner. big serving and big in taste.
3. The lemon sauce (idk what its called) that they serve with the chicken is a real hit. my friends told me that they keep on coming back because of that.
4. The staffs are really friendly and attentive. This one is very important for me as it really sets the mood whenever i eat.
Dined here with some friends just last night. The menu is really easy to peruse as they don't really have a lot to offer. They have an alcoholic beverage menu which I didn't get to browse.
I loved that they served the food rather quickly (except for the sides): Ribs Muchos, Nacho Grande, and Southern Spice Whole Chicken in under 10 minutes. I guess they were all pre-cooked and reheated upon order. The tortilla chips stayed crisp throughout our 90-minute stay.
I only wish they'd heeded my request to have them served 5 minutes later than expected which the server agreed to in the first place. I liked that the ribs and chicken menu has a "with sides" option so you can save a great deal of moolah when you opt to avail it. What was weird was that when we finally ordered the sides, they took longer than their meat counterpart, we had to do a follow up. And when my friend requested for steamed banana, she was given a half-ripe one - a portion of the peel was still green.
The food was okay. Taste-wise, nothing really special but it wasn't bad either. And I really liked the medium hot dipping sauce - I smothered the chicken with it.
Ambience is okay, it doesn't really scream Olé! Mexico! but the place is alright. You get value for money when you're eating with a group and you split the bill as the portion size is quite large.
Yum. Yum. Yum. Yum.
PLACE:
Great place.
FOOD:
Gringo Original Chicken : Super yummy chicken! Its juicy, soft, and undeniably tasty!
Dirty Rice : I don't know what's with the rice but its super yummy! Kinda oily tho.
Mushroom thingy : Forgot the exact name but this was good. I love have garlicky the mushrooms are.
Gringo Original Baby Back Ribs - Super tender baby back ribs with just the right amount of bbq-ish flavor on it. Not too sweet also compared to other ribs.
Corn - love this!
Macaroni - Wasn't able to taste this since I'm not a fan of mayonnaise. But as per my friend, it was good and she really do like it.
Nachos on the side - The only thing I didn't enjoy. Super plain / bland nachos.
SERVICE:
Friendly and accommodating staff.
PRICE:
Super affordable!
VERDICT:
Did I enjoy it? - Yes
Will I recommend it? - Yes
Will I come back? - Yes
Had lunch with my friends here the other day. We tried a number of dishes from their menu, including the roasted chicken, both options of quesadillas, the nacho grande, tacos and a burrito. For us, the nacho grande, the southern fried chicken and the tacos were the ones that stood out among its dishes. Planning on coming back to try out the baby back ribs and their seafood options!
My boyfriend and I ordered the ribs and spiced chicken with Mexican Rice. Personally, both dishes doesn't go right with the Mexican Rice because the rice already tastes like a dish. Maybe it would go better with garlic or plain rice. The staff and their service was good too. This restaurant is a more expensive version of Silantro.
We had dinner here last night and loved it! My boyfriend and I had a quarter each of original and spiced chicken. For the side dish, obviously we picked the more expensive ones (P75): Mexican Rice, Marbled Potatoes, and Macaroni Salad. The only thing I don't like here is the macaroni salad which tastes like anyone at home could make.
We also ordered an appetizer, Truffle Quesadillas. It was full of flavor in every bite. I seldom repeat eating in the same restaurant but I would eat here all over again to try their other dishes. Our bill at P600+ was worth it and more. Thanks for the filling and flavorful dining experience, Gringo!
If you want a lemony flavored meal, then this is the place to eat. I love their huge Southern Spice Chicken and the Nacho Grande, which was served on a large hot plate. The toppings were few but very tasty. My friends were not really fond of the food because of the sourness - from the chicken, to the nacho sauce and the chicken dips, but I liked it. I was just not a fan of their sides (Mashed Potato, French Fries and Garlic Mushrooms). What impressed me the most was the service we had from the crew. Even if we arrived at 2:15am (store closes at 3am), they were still energetic and very accommodating.
If you want to enjoy a great evening meal with friends, or even just sip a few drinks, then I recommend Gringo. Aside from their soft and hard drinks, Gringo offers an assortment of Tex-Mex/Latin American cuisine for its guests.
For those who want something to munch on while enjoying a few drinks, I suggest getting the Chili con Carne Fries or the Nacho Grande. The nachos live up to their name by being served on a large platter and are filled to the brim with cheese, shredded meat, and tomatoes and onions. Perfect for a large party of hungry mouths.
If guests are more inclined to eating only, they can choose among the variety of street tacos for snacks. They are meat and vegetables of one's choosing served on a soft taco shell a little larger than a saucer. For heavier fare, guests may opt to get the rice meals with Gringo's Original Chicken, Southern Spice Chicken (both in quarter, half, or whole portions), or their Baby Back Ribs (in either half or whole racks, or Ribs Muchos, their largest) along with a choice of of at least two side dishes (with more depending on the size of the dish).
The staff are also a part of the overall great experience, as they are accommodating, prompt, and precise. No matter how good the food, an establishment's reputation is made or broken by the service it provides. I have no problem with Gringo on that front, and I plan to return soon to sample more of their fare.
I was there for the opening. The free ribs and chicken was a great deal. I love both. Though the ribs are more expensive, I love the chicken more and the sauces and spices are a great complement as well. The ambiance is cool and great for hangouts with friends and loved ones. They have wifi but lack sockets to plug your gadgets. The staff are friendly and accomodating. Great place for chicken and ribs!
I love, love, love Gringo! For an ultimately satisfying meal these dishes are highly recommended: Chili con Carne Fries- perfect golden fries topped with a generous serving of chili and lots of melted cheese, Spicy Tuna Street Tacos- chunks of tuna sashimi in a light, flavorful palate pleaser , Latin Salpicao Street Tacos- smoky, tender salpicao flakes that will leave you wanting more, Gringo's Latin Spiced Chicken- perfectly seasoned and roasted just right so the skin is brown and crisp and the meat juicy and tender. This comes with sides. 1875 Beef Pot Stew- reminiscent of Caldereta; fork-tender beef and veggies stewed in rich tomato sauce and served at your table in a pot. Instagram worthy presentation. Prices here won't break the bank. True value for money😊
Overall, our dining experience was great.
The original and spiced chicken are both tasty and juicy. The nacho grande is big enough for sharing but the toppings is too little. It's served at room temperature to cold though, chips were still crunchy.
I love their squid with mango. Taste-wise, it's perfect but I think it's a little overcooked. The backribs is so-so. I love their Mexican rice too, it's well spiced.
Don't forget to order their lemonade, it's so good! I think it's better than the iced tea which tasted like brewed Lipton tea (lol! I don't know which tea they used but it tasted like that, the yellow Lipton Tea).
Service is good, however, sometimes I think they got rattled as it was full house when we dined in.
I would still love to try their other dishes next time!
Ola amigos and amigas! Those are the words that come in mind when I think of Gringo, a restaurant known for its delectable baked chicken. And when I found out that Gringo opened a branch in BGC, I was beyond ecstatic! I could finally sink my teeth into some of Gringo’s well-loved chicken.
Hello, Gringo.
After a tiring walk around High Street and Burgos Circle to do some errands, I decided to reward myself with a nice meal before heading back home. And it was the perfect time to stop by Gringo.
This is seriously one of the best Roasted chicken I ever had. Aside from the very cozy ambiance, you will definitely enjoy the food.
I ordered Southern Spice Chicken and lemonade for dinner. You also have the option to choose your side. Mine is buttered corn. (obviously) 😅
Even the lemonade is soooo good and refreshing. Oh and they have tacos too!
The best latin american food I've tasted. Rating this resto a 5.0 because everything was great. Ambiance was very relaxing specially when they dim the lights. Food, Service and Ambiance was excellent.
We ordered the classic chicken with 2 sides which is mashed potato & buttered corn, chili con carne fries and 2 best seller soft tacos and a pitcher of their home brewed iced tea. We loved the food. Actually I love everything with cilantro. Also the price is very affordable and "sulit sa sarap". We'll surely go back to try their other dishes most specially their ribs. I personally recommend this place.
Btw, parking is on the basement of burgos circle then walk towards the corner of 2nd and 30th sts. They also serve mojitos and beer at a very affordable price as well. 👍👍👍👍👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is my go-to place whenever I can't think of anything. Gringo never fails to satisfy my nachos and chicken cravings, love that they have healthy sides option. I'll keep on coming back until I develop my own chicken wings haha 🐔
I love the southern spice chicken and their quesadilla always a fave, the acidity of the chicken complements the barbie sauce... Also house brewed ice tea is a must!
The place offers a cozy mexican ambiance with great food and customer service. Food is also great. The southern spice chicken has always been my favorite here. Definitely deserving of a high 5!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
If you are craving for mexican food with an affordable price, you have to go to Gringo! Their original chicken is the best pair it with any of their sides! You also have to try their truffle and cheesy quesadillas it is so good! Also note that their chicken meal comes with nachos 💛 Super worth it!
.Not my first time but i usually order their original chicken with 2 sides. They have variety of it. you can order varieties of rice since this is Mexican resto, buttered corn, mashed potato, salad and even saba.. :)
We had a pleasant Friday night in this area. We had to wait for quite a while to get seated but it was quite worth it. We availed of their Nacho Grande and Chicken Onion Melt. Both dishes were too good but I'd like to go back for their chicken. I just have to remember the next time I get here to request for less cilantro in their dishes. We availed of the 3 + 1 promo for beers but when we received the bill, we did not get any discount. Customers should be wary of this as you might not be saving anything after all. The place is beautifully-designed albeit less-Mexican than I expected it to be. We were transferred to a more comfortable area (without us requesting for it) which is a major plus to their service!
If you are a Ribs fan this is the place to be, great Ribs here and some awesome sides as well. My fav is the garlic rice and squash. A good heart meal. Great also on the menu, half chicken, tacos & burritos. Not a massive fan of the squid rings although I do love squid rings, this was not my fav. Like their tropical drink but only if you have a sweet tooth. Always enjoyed the service here as well
Hola. How can i forget the nilagang saba (steamed banana). That was awesome, imagine having those saba at home and yet i ordered it lol :P :D
My first ever order , half slab ribs is not bad. Looking forward to try other food in their menu.
I was warmly greeted by one of the staff and ushered me to a vacant table. He quickly handed the menu and gave me a glass of cold water.
After some thought, I ordered Quarter of Gringo Original Chicken with two sides (PHP225). For sides, I went with marbled potatoes and roasted squash. I also got a glass of House-brewed Iced Tea (PHP75).
The place and ambience was good. Staff are very friendly and accomodating. The food was great and with big servings although a little pricey.
But overall, good 👍
They don't lie when they say the chicken is good. Couple that with some delicious sides (Mexican Rice, Mashed Potatoes) and a quesadilla and you're good for lunch.
Satisfied at P300 per head, and you won't find as much value for money as Gringo's in Burgos Circle.

Quick service and a good grilled chicken - what's not to like. The healthy sides of garlic mushroom and corn are a great compliment to southern style chicken. The size of the platter served are ideal for any appetite as well. Skip the drinks though.
A bit small in serving, its only good for one person but you'll definitely enjoy the food. Pleasing food presentation, nice to take pictures before consuming it. Hahaha! Excellent service, friendly and accommodating crews. Must try restaurant in BGC!
If you want to eat here at peak dinner hours, you better get here early because of limited seating. There are seats outside, an obvious sign that they get filled up at times. In fact, we had to wait about half an hour to get seated.
Inside, the place is brightly lit and heavy with wooden furniture. It looks like they tried to squeeze in as many tables as they could, so it feels a bit cramped. The servers are pretty nice, and the wait for food isn't that long.
We started with the Nacho Grande, which they describe as "manly." I'm guessing they mean to say it's loaded because it is, but flavor-wise, I wasn't feeling it. The pulled pork, which I was expecting to be maybe spicy or smoky, was just sweet.
We had some original roast chicken, which tasted pretty good. The sauce that supposedly goes with the chicken kind of tasted strong, which I thought would overpower the flavor of the chicken, so I ate it bare (meaning sauce-free; I ate it with the skin on like a normal human being).
The ribs had the smokiness that reminds me of the ones at Rack's, but Gringo's version is a bit too sweet for my taste. Very tender, though. The housebrewed Iced tea was also good; we actually ordered two pitchers.
As for the sides, my favorite was the roasted squash, followed by the Mexican rice. The mashed potato, while great-tasting, was way too smooth for me (I prefer a more chunky mash). And the garlic mushroom was criminally overpriced. Php60 for about half a cup of canned mushrooms sauteed in garlic? Really?
Wouldn't mind coming back for the chicken and roasted squash, plus a friend of mine says the lemon garlic butter crab's a must-try.
You'll spend about 500 per person for a decent meal. It's great enough for me to come back. There was a lazy waitress though who pretended to not see nor hear me even though I knew I was clearly on her peripheral view.
One of the best chickens on the city, flavorful and tasty through and through :)
Ambiance suffers because of poor acoustics, though. Difficult to carry out convos.
Service is also excellent.
We arrived here on a Friday night, close to 7PM, and were lucky to get the last available table. After almost two years of abstinence from meat, Gringo's chicken was my first meat consumption.
We ordered half original chicken and half southern spice chicken; our sides were mashed potato, garlic mushrooms, and roasted eggplant. I liked both flavours of chicken equally; the hot sauce and lemon herb sauce were a refreshing addition to the already flavourful chicken. My son enjoyed his mashed potato too much that he had finished it before I could even get a taste. The garlic mushrooms and roasted eggplant were just okay for me.
The truffle queso quesadilla was a bit of a let down. I already had this months ago from The Block and it was quite delicious, which is why I ordered this again. However, there was absolutely no taste of truffle in the quesadilla. It was just plain cheese quesadilla.
We also ordered a carafe of the classic Mojito. We were given glasses without straws so we ended up taking the mint leaves out of our drink (otherwise, you'd either be chewing on 'em or having them get stuck on your teeth). Alcohol content was barely there.
Service was quick, staff were very attentive and friendly.
Just a few steps away from our office and St. Lukes. Gave us authentic Mexican food experience. My favorites are their Quesadillas and signature baby back ribs. They also have dessert called Mango Cream Sticky Rice which is actually a combination of ice cream, tapioca and hot bico. Ambiance is also impressive. Staffs are courteuos and entertaining.
Value for money: 7/10
