Went on a roadtrip with friends and tried their bagnet sisig and pancit bami, did not expect the sisig to be that good as it was sooo crunchy and tasty. definitely worth going back to. Need to try their kare kare

The go-to place whenever you are around Tagaytay. Very accommodating staff, excellent overall service and wonderful food choices that is sure to satisfy your cravings.

The ambiance complements the food they serve considering the breathtaking view in the outdoors. Plus, the service is world class because the owner is very hands-on. He is very nice and friendly.

Our tropical state of mind has been awakened by Cabanas, a tropical themed restaurant standing at Tagaytay, a good and refreshing find from the usual Bulalo places we usually go to. The main dining hall will satify the minimalists. It’s sleek and clean while providing the best view of the lake. Don your summer shirts and let’s have a quick drive to Cabanas Dine and Bar.

They got some nice interiors and the location is just perfect. You can see an overlooking view of Taal. They have a relaxing ambiance especially at night when the lights are on and the music is live. Service is excellent.

They offer traditional Filipino cuisines with a twist. We got to try the Bulalo Kare-kare which uses a bulalo beef instead. It was tender and the sauce was soooo thick and peanutty.

I also like the Bagnet Laing though I think it needs to have a stronger taste (because before heading here, I ate laing in a different restarant). I like how there are big parts of bagnet on a laing.

They also have a different kind of nachos. They used molo wrappers to create this appetizer. They also topped it with turmeric chicken.

I can easily taste the Squid Ink flavor of their pancit.
Try the Tawilis as well. It was good!!

A hidden gem in Tagaytay.

One of my bestfriends was looking for a place with a breathtaking view that's far from Manila and has the feels of nature, where she and her bf can date/relax-- and I finally found a suggestion for her!

At first, there is a stairway down to the restaurant & bar, so you might want to be careful and not tumble down (since it's a loooong way down)-- and once you reach the venue, just wow. The bar, the dining area, etc.

What's a view without scrumptious foods to go with it, right? For the appetizers, we had some onion rings, potato chips, nachos and mozzarella pops. For the mains, we had some Bulalo Kare-kare, Cabana's Signature Bulalo, Bagnet Laing, Cabana's Chicken, Tawilis ala Gambas, and Pancit Pusit. I love their potato chips! Seasoned right especially when dipped into their zesty spicy mayo. Hope it was the same for the onion rings though. The mozza pops was good, maybe when it's hot. The nachos has some turmeric chicken as toppings aside from salsa etc. As for the star of our table, the Signature Bulalo really hits the spot. Tagaytay experience complete! (LOL) Broth is flavorful, meat and bone marrow are the right examples that's what's bad for you are undeniably tasty. I also loved their Bulalo Kare-Kare and Tawilis ala Gambas! As usual, I can't get enough of their plain rice-- yet again. The Pancit Pusit really lived up to its name and glad it didn't stain as much as when I eat some Pasta Negra.

Now, for the desserts! The 4 Ways Cheesecake needs improvement. It may look delectable but idk they need to work on the taste of the four flavors. The Fruit Fritter is good for someone who loves fruits in desserts, but for me it's really not in my preference (sorry huhu) while their House Blend Carafe is too sweet they say (but for me, since I love sweets, it's fine with me hahah). All of the desserts we're a miss, but most of their foods are a hit!

I'm not much of a drinker, but when they served the White Sky and Sky High mocktails, I honestly liked them. The White Sky tasted like chocolate, and the Sky High was juice-like and yeaaah really colorful and instagrammable.
The venue can also be rented out and it can fit up to 100pax!

Would love to bring my fam back here someday (especially on the Ber months!).

We people go to Tagaytay, ang una talagang priority is the view. Sa food naman basta tagaytay, masarap eh! Haha. Anyway, dito sa Cabanas Dine and Bar, sobrang panalo kasi ang ganda na ng view, maganda pa ang interiors and ang sarap pa ng food!

Yung restaurant is an open dining area, may bar for prep ng cocktails. And may enclosed glass dining area na kahit saan ka lumingon ang ganda ng view!

Food: Pinoy food + Western appetizers + cocktails. Complete na for barkada chill sa gabi, family day sa hapon. Favorite ko yung (1) Bulalo Kare-kare , (2) Bulalo (3) Tawilis , and (4) Pancit pusit.
