When we got there, many are on waiting list and they’ve been prioritized since their hc is about 50. But when the manager saw us and asked what we’re waiting for, I just answered the buffet (it’s not yet the time to enter) but he let us enter and eat first. I love how he accomodate those people and let us go inside even if it’s not yet our turn. Hehe
We went here to celebrate my wife's birthday and we did not regret coming here. The view was wonderful, the food was delicious and the servers were great and attentive. We'll definitely be back here

Tagaytay has been always my perfect getaway destination whenever I need to unwind from all the stress I’ve been receiving. I went here nth times already but still wanting to explore more. Tagaytay has so much to offer! The famous Taal Volcano, cozy hotels that is perfect for staycation, and even restaurants with good food too (Don’t forget to try BULALO! Its a must here.)
We celebrate our 2nd year wedding anniversary in here and it was heaven! The location, service and food together with the cost its perfect. We will comeback for more.
Going to Bag of Beans on either a saturday or sunday night for dessert has become some sort of a family tradition. I love going there for either a frozen or hot chocolate and pairing it with their quezo de bola cheesecake. Also great for a romantic night out!

Had a good mouthful of their apple pie and blueberry cheesecake. Not too sweet. Good to pair with their house coffee and cold breeze.

It’s so nice to have a family who supports me at what I love doing – my job, being a mom, a traveler, a foodie, a blogger. I really am thankful that everytime I say “I wanna do this,” they’re there holding me up like my number one fan. As much as I could, I want them to also experience and see why I love the outdoors. This time, I brought them to my fave nearest vacay spot – Tagaytay.

All I can say is that the food blew our minds and tastebuds!! We have been hearing of this from friends and it did not disappoint!! Portions were huge and a bang for your buck. Already missibg the flavors as soon as we left. Servers were courteous and accommodating. Will definitely be back!

It has been years since our family last went to Tagaytay. The last time I was here, we were just passing through and had this as our stopover. Over the years, Tagaytay became popular with multiple condominiums and malls popping here and there. But it’s nice to know that establishments such as the Bag of Beans stood the test of time. They even had more branches much like this one where we had our dinner. 🙂

Out of all the Bag of Beans branches and company, this is my personal favorite. We dined here on a busy Saturday night but wasn’t noisy and disturbing. It was a good dinner since everyone else around seemed happily eating.
The boneless chicken was bland and quite tasted like charcoal. It was dry as well. But the saving glory of this dish is the sauce and the veggies though the main star of this dish should be the chicken. My boyfriend didn’t enjoy this. I had the salmon and it was cooked to my liking. It had a bit of seasoning but the authentic salmon taste was definitely there. I preferred the sauce of the chicken rather than the actual sauce of the salmon. The mashed potatoes were good, and wasn’t powdery. The veggies again, i wish I had more cause it was really delicious. Caramel Macchiato was a bit sweet, and the house-blend coffee was better. Ended the meal with our favorite Blueberry Cheesecake and still, the best as ever. Seriously, The Cheesecake Factory should have this one on their menu.
The service was great. The waiter even gave us extra complimentary bread when my boyfriend asked if they also sell it in their bakery.
This place is special. It seemed family-oriented and the vibe just gave me joy. I would want to try dining outside next time, and yes, I would definitely come back and dine here.
Food is great! Their tapa tastes good esp with the atchara on the side. The fluffy pancakes are really fluffy and smells so good.
Plus, the view is magnificent. We have the Taal view right smack in front of our table. Just gorgeous!
The wait service could be improved a little. The price range isnt that cheap so you would hope that the staff will be a little more attentive. They have forgotten little requests like vinegar and warm water. But they are very friendly and courteous :)

Such a pretty restaurant to visit in Tagaytay! We had the beef medallion and the salmon during our last visit and both were good choices. We also ordered their blueberry cheesecake which we loved! So rich and tangy with just the right amount of sweetness.
Plus, the awesome Tagaytay view was definitely a bonus to an already great meal. See you soon, Charito!
Ordered the vongole pasta and caesar salad. I was really happy with my order - generous serving and flavorful food. Worth the price if you are sharing. Great ambience too. I've tried 3 branches of Bag of Beans and Charito is by far my favorite.
Our family is a regular customer of Bag of Beans since 2010. Each time I visit tagaytay, I make sure to come by in any of the branches either for lunch or dinner, and of course, coffee. Charito is one of the newer outlets, it is my fifth time coming here. There is alfresco dining area, which has a lovely view of taal so try to come in the mid day. But we usually stay indoors. I like the fact that it has a spacious yet homey feel. As with its main branch, a store is attached to it. Store sells pastries and coffee beans. Food is great. Our favorites are the daing na bangus a la pobre, salad, and vongole. On previous occasions, I've tried a variety of pancakes and pies (which bag of beans is quite known for). Food portions are quite big - good for families. Crew is always polite and attentive; service is also quick. Overall, this is great value for money. It is very consistent in terms of quality of food and service.

Food 5; Price 5; Service 4; Ambience 5. Food was very good and servings were generous. One serving of roast beef could serve 3 persons easily. We had tenderloin and gambas and the quality of food is comparable to a five star hotel. Price is not the cheapest but more than justified by the servings and taste. Just prepare to wait during peak hours. We had lunch at 2pm and there was a short queue, and people were still arriving at 3pm. Cannot beat the view of Lake Taal while dining.
Deapite being a famed restaurant in Tagaytay, I’m not a fan of this place except for coffee. It’s a good thing my friend dragged me to this place to get dessert, which was surprisingly good. The tres leches was a bit on the dry side but after a few bites, it seems to grow on you (a good thing). It actually tasted good. The blueberry was above expectation. It wasn’t your usual baked cheesecake but the no bake, more of the cream than cheese type. It was surprisingly good that we had bought more to take home.

Aside from their sumptous food in big serving (2 people can actually share one order) the best thing.about this place is the view. You have to come while the sun is still up so that you can take lovely shots of Taal Volcano.

Our lunch place staple whenever we are in Tagaytay. Whole menu is good, almost tried them all. Come early tho, because most of the desserts/pastries are gone by 2pm, especially on a Sunday. Usually, the line there isn’t long. Staff are nice and the view overlooking Tagaytay is amazing.

Ang ganda ng mga decor and the view for taal also maganda for picture taking. Okay yung foods pricey pero masarap ang hirap ubusin sa totoo lang. Ang mura din ng parang pasalubong bilihan area nila. A very instagrammable place with good food. I ordered the smoked salmon and mushroom fetuccine and i felt love at first bite. Serving is good for two. So I can say that the price is reasonable. Me and my family enjoyed our time here. I’m rating 4stars to this place simply because it was very hot during our late lunch there I feel like they can still improve on the ventilation. Plus, I ordered iced americano then got an iced coffee. I had no energy left to complain and just finished my coffee 💕

I loved the melon juice, been craving it for a while. Buko Ala Mode’s Vanilla Ice Cream was a bit too sweet for us but coconut meat was good and fresh.
They served each of us buns with butter despite us just having ordered desserts, it was a nice touch that we appreciated.

Perfect for closing our first day in Tagaytay. After we ate Bulalo we decided to eat dessert here.
We ate there around 8pm so the wind is chilly yet calming. I ordered their famous blueberry cheesecake and Apple pie ala monde for my boyfriend.
They're perfectly sweet and savory. I recommend trying the two desserts.
What can I say? Great food and great views. The servings are quite hefty but since they're really good, you won't complain! From the pancakes to the Filipino breakfast meals to the cocktails (yes, we had cocktails for breakfast), this is a place that will cater to everyone!
Had our brunch there before heading back to Manila. When you are lucky, you can see the Taal Volcano scenery since it’s covered with fog most of the time during our meal.

This place was introduced to me by my friends, food serve were all good and enormous in serving size. They hype is real as well for this place since we already went here past lunch time knowing that this place is always full but still the place was full of customers even during past lunch time around 3PM-4PM.
It's a perfect place to unwind seeing the amazing view of taal, cozy ambiance and a good food. We tried their Fish & Chips, Grilled Boneless Chicken and a slice of Chocolate Mousse cake. They have big servings, I love the food and I must say it satisfies our tummy. A bit pricey but worth the price because of the food & ambiance. We celebrated our anniversary here at Charito BOB and we enjoyed taking our dinner but one thing I noticed that the waiter mistakenly gave us the wrong food to take our order out.

Breakfast here was great, the view of Taal lake and volcano is simply unbeatable in the morning. While the place has ample parking, it does tend to get full easily as midday approaches so early mornings are best. Their cappriocosa pasta was a delight, with the perfect balance in terms of flavor and amount. No skimping on the ingredients, and that’s great because I love prawns. The clubhouse sandwich is fairly standard, serving size and taste is good. Coffee selection has the right mix.

Tried the blueberry pancakes (oh dear God they have big servings of these, so don't assume it's for one person only) and tasted their hot chocolate. Ordered blueberry cheesecake for myself. Since I'm not much of a sweet tooth, I cannot finish it all, but it was soooooo d*mn good. All so amazing, so solid! Went on a dusk, so the vibe was so chill; amazing view of the Taal volcano. Perfect for romantic dates.
I haven't tried their pasta, so I hope to go back for that.
My friends and I enjoyed our lunch in Charito by Bag of Beans. It is one of the must-go-to places in Tagaytay. The food is awesome. I love the fresh buko juice! You can also have your coffee while enjoying the beautiful view of Taal Lake. Kindly ask the staff to give you a table in the veranda.

I would have given a higher rating if not for the receptionist who assigned tables. We asked politely to be seated outside as we saw some tables were still vacant, and so that we could enjoy the view of the lake but she insisted that this wasn't possible even if there were no signs stating that the tables were reserved. She gave us a seat indoors where it was hot and the music was too loud. Ten minutes later, the receptionist assisted a group of people outdoors where we wanted to be seated. I brought this up with a waiter who then referred us back to the receptionist. I again asked politely if we could be seated outside, and seeing that we noticed that the other group was seated outside, she reluctantly obliged. On a more positive note, when we ordered two sets of pancakes, we were happy with the generous servings--three thick pancakes with blueberries, and the other had bananas and walnuts. The cafe latte was good too, just the right amount of sweetness. We ordered additional breakfast sausage and bacon, which came with eggs and hashbrowns. I loved the hashbrowns and the bacon was ok, buy could be crispier. The sausage was not really worth trying. The waiters were not very attentive either, despite the place not being full. Dining here is good for the view and serving size, but the service could really be improved.

This is my second visit to a Bag of Beans restaurant and once again, it didn’t fail to impress me. Of course the location is great as it overlooks Taal Lake. The restaurant itself is perfect for Instagram/ The food is superb, average-priced, and with generous servings. Even with the amount people dining, service was very good and orders arrived quickly.
Staff/Place: We requested to be seated outside since the weather was cool and view was nice. Staff were nice and efficient
Food: I read in a review that their Baby back ribs os a must so when we ordered it, it didn’t disappoint. Crispy sisig was vERy oily that made it a bit nakakasawa. Primavera was very good. Balanced creaminess with the other ingredients.

My friends and I had a stop here to take lunch before heading back to Manila. The prices of food might be a bit pricey but you’ll sure get your money’s worth. Oh! I love their Baby Back Ribs! Not because it’s among my favourites but it was so tender and taste even better with its barbecue sauce. Their Bangus ala Pobre was also great, topped with onion rings, atsara and veggies. I highly recommend their Greek Salad too and Blueberry Cheesecake. The atmosphere is so homey and classy. The servers are also nice, quick and alert. I’m satisfied with our dining experience. Next visit here will be with my family!
I love this branch of BOB for its cozy ambiance with nice view of Taal Lake . Perfect place for quiet time, romantic brunch/dinner. This branch also has function room that’s perfect for small group. Restroom is okay and parking space is just fine.
Food serving is big so even if it’s a lil bit pricey you”ll get value for money. Food selection is also good.
We arrived brunch time on a weekday and the guests were few but the service was kinda slow. For 4 tables, there are just 2 waiters. We ordered additional cup of rice and waited for 15 minutes. This is something that the management can improve.
I'm only rating based on what we ordered : hot chocolate and blueberry cake. IT WAS AMAZING. The cake was a bit frozen, creamy and not to sweet. The hot chocolate was a little bitter, not too sweet and thick - tablea ❤️

14 SEPT. Went here with a typhoon signal which made our visit extra cold (ambiance wise) and because of the same reason, there were only a few diners. We enjoyed it though because it was peaceful. Upon arrival, we got to choose to be seated on our preferred table (which was inside, near entrance door). I'd say, the staff are accommodating and attentive. The food we ordered was worth its price, we loved the ribs with mashed potato and the shrimp pasta (among our orders) except perhaps the carrot cake (I have high standards for desserts/cakes and the carrot cake didn't meet my expectation, not to mention the design of the supposed carrot). Another thing, I wanted to actually be transferred on the room that has pink and pastel like kind of theme, which I learned was located on one of the rooms at the second floor. We were told that it was not open for occupancy during that time and only when they're full house that second floor is used (aside from private events). Having these experiences, I'm giving it a 4/5.

We have the Carbonara. Italian Pasta dish with creamy sauce and bacon bits with additional Garlic Bread. Just add more parmesan cheese and your ready to dig in. Next is a slice of Blueberry Cheesecake. One of their signature cakes it’s a perfect dessert. It’s a combination of sweet, creamy and tangy taste from blueberry. After tasting it, you will order for another slice.

My family went here for my hubby’s birthday. Servings were uber generous and yummy! My favorite was the roast beef and since then i’ve been coming back from manila just to to eat it. Very nice interiors. Very good place for special occasions.
This is my go to restaurant whenever I visit Tagaytay. The ambiance is really nice. You can request for outside seats to see a glimpse of taal volcano while eating, just make sure the weather is good. The food menu has variety of choices from western to Filipino cuisine with a twist. Plus the place is instragrammable that’s a bonus.😉
All time favorite! We always make sure to eat here whenever we go to Tagaytay. The food is undeniably delicious, the staff were accommodating and very welcoming plus the view of Taal volcano is breathtaking.
Would still want to try more but was able to enjoy the food and the service of the servers...was not a good decision to dine during a typhoon but the staff was kind enough to make sure that the stay is still pleasant...
Amazing place and food!!! My new routine is to have lunch at this resto every time I visit Tagaytay! Ordered the breakfast sampler and paid 495 pesos. Definitely for two persons unless you are super hungry. Adobo was okay nothing special.
