Truffle Pasta cooked al dente with the right amount of cream and truffle essence. Frito misto was very generous with prawns, mussels, and squid. Tartar sauce was a little too sweet and lacked flavor. Server was kind but the mere fact he had runny nose, had been sneezing, and was the one touching our plates and utensils was a huge turnoff.
Good food. Good service. We were the only 2 there. Did the experience the reviewer who didnt get served bread sticks.
Good italian food. Pasta was a little over done but tasted well anyway. Restaurant has a nice, homey ambiance that's a welcome experience when dining in Tagaytay.
In line with my Tagaytay Staycation post, I decided to do this mini-series. Since we were only there for a day or so, we really just went on a food adventure here. There are lots of restaurants to choose from. Dining is much easier now compared to before. You only had the good old trusty restos. But now, there are new ones such as this Italian Restaurant at Fora Mall.
Ravioli was a bit hard, Risotto was okay. Pizza was worth it!! A fly landed on my water, so that was a bit uhm. They give complimentary bread during the beginning was very tasty. They give it with pesto, tomato, olive oil, and black vinegar. Everything was made fresh. All in all it was tasty.
Let me start off by saying their Calzone is 5 stares in my book. I've had their steak, osso buko, minestrone, Pizza Bianca (if you like white pizza and cream sauce) is to die for, and other dishes. I've ordered each of these more than once and will order again. Everything is cooked from near scratch or something prepped that day. Even the breadsticks are made on site.I eat here probably once a month as I work in Tagaytay. The only drawback for some is this is slow cooked food - if you want good food you need to wait for it to be cooked. The quality always makes me feel like I am getting a deal.
After ordering, we were given complimentary bread with two dips, pesto and tomato in olive oil. Both of which are a fitting start for our Italian dinner.
Our orders were:
Ravioli di spinaci e ricotta con salsa di noci
-This ravioli is generously filled with finely chopped spinach with cream cheese and some walnut. Chewy with a perfect filling; not too heavy.
Prosciutto e rucola
-semi-thin crust pizza with mozarella, prosciutto and romaine lettuce. They ran out of arugula hence the lettuce as substitute.
Verdict:
This restaurant satisfied our expectations. We used Zomato Gold (1+1 on food) so we were able to get a good deal. Nonetheless even without the discount we will still order the Prosciutto Pizza. The staff were courteous. The place has a fine, cozy vibe with its interior and soft music. When we come back, we will still be happy to have the same choice of orders.
A great place for a good dining experience if you want a change from the regular Bulalo and Tawilis from Tagaytay.
Place
The mall provides ample parking, and the restaurant location inside the mall gives a relaxed view and feel (the view is a park).
The tables are well arranged giving enough space for private talks. The table setting is excellent and helps set the mood.
Food
There are a few Italian restos that I like but this one sits as one of the best for me. The fresh pasta was a surprise, the Vongole was perfect, and the serving was enough. The Quattro Formaggi pizza was not lacking in cheese, the crust was good and perfectly "oven-ed."
Service
My wife and I went for a late lunch and there was not much people so it was easy to call in the waiter. I noticed that the waiters knew the dishes and their when we asked.

Overall, I gave 5 stars to this resto. I'm planning to bring my family and come back often as we like going to Tagaytay. Even without the 1+1 Zomato Gold promo, we'll dine here.
One of a must visit in Fora Mall in Tagaytay. If you're looking for a romantic place to date your partner, you'll both enjoy the food and feel the romance as you dine. The owner Mom and Son both lived in Italy for years, have a very humble and kind personality.
We were generously served with the following...
Carpaccio di Manzo is an Italian dish with arugula Salad, Cheese and thinly sliced raw Beef meat. I enjoyed them eating all at once and I think it's great with a glass of wine! 😍
Pasta Marinara with generous Seafoods on top. Definitely filling.
Quattro formaggi Pizza is my favorite! The combination of mozzarella, gorgonzola, Corcina. It's simply divine!
Tiramisu is a must try too. It is well plated, has a balanced coffee flavor and is not too sweet.
If you're on Zomato Gold, enjoy the 2+2 drinks here! 😍
If you’re after for some quiet and alone time while indulging on some Italian favorites then this is the place to be.
This was our second stop for our food crawl and yeah, it may be random but we heard that the food here is good so we had to visit. The resto was inside the mall and was quite hard to find as they’re situated at the very back, near the park. Took us a bit of time to get to the place. Perhaps some signage would be helpful.
Food was good. It wasn’t excellent but at least it was true to Italian tradition so I was super happy.
* Carpaccio di Manzo - One of my faves here. Nice thin slices and very good lemon finish. The arugula was a really good touch to give the dish some kick.
* Pasta Marinara - Generous serving of well-cooked shrimps and clams. Well seasoned too!
* Quattro Formaggi - Typical cheese pizza. Nothing special really. But at least it wasn’t bad.
*Tiramisu - Good finish to our meal. I like the hint of bitterness that cuts through the sweetness of the cream.
Service was great and the servers were very attentive. Will probably come back if I want some quiet time again.
Ordered spaghetti bolagnese, margherita pizza, and seafood marinara. Really enjoyed how the pizza was well toasted above as well as below. All were excellent. Staff was welcoming, engaging and accommodating. Highly recommend. This is an excellent alternative to our previous Italian go-to place, Amaroma, which is now closed.
This is our second stop in our Tagaytay Food Crawl, and they feature Italian cuisines. This restaurant can be a romantic place for a date (if not that crowded).
Pasta Marinara - has a fresh seafood taste topped with shrimp and mussels/shellfish. The mussel has that strong fishy taste which I hate.
Quatro Formaggi - it has a thick yet crispy crust. It was not too cheesy, it was just okay.
Carpaccio di manzo - I recommend eating the thin beef with the arugula salad and cheese in one bite.
We had Tiramisu for a sweet ending.
Disclaimer: Dining was sponsored by Trifoglio Ristorante and ZomatoPH.
Great service and good Italian food in Tagaytay. The authentic Italian food in Manila is still better but their version of Italian food is already good. Fresh ingredients and very good service.
The location of this restaurant is hidden, but worth the effort!
Here are my higlights:
1. I enjoyed their PASTA MARINARA! It’s like Italy in my mouth!
2. They serve authentic Italian dishes! It’s worth visiting!
3. I love their TIRAMISU dessert!
I feel like service needs to be improved in terms of customer service. I did not feel the heart of the server to actually serve us. She did not have this personal touch. Also, she was not aligned with the availability of the products.
I love their food tho. Very authentic! Owners were really nice also! :)
Tagaytay is still one of the best places to go to if you want to have a quick getaway and a change of scenery from the everyday city life. There’s also no scarcity of places to see and locations to fill your tummies. Time and again you would hear that there is a new restaurant to try in Tagaytay.
Realty nice Italian restaurant. Steak was good. Tiramisu was awesome. Coffee was great too. I particularly liked the aglio olio. Service is prompt and courteous.
Trifoglio Ristorante is a quiet little Italian restaurant situated at the back of the new Fora Mall in Tagaytay City. Personally, I loved the place. I can spent an afternoon here reading a book nibbling on carpaccio while sipping red wine. Of course, those scenes you see in Hollywood only. But I believe that one can actually do it in Trifoglio. Hmmm... why not?
Speaking of Carpaccio, the Carpaccio di Manzo (raw beef thinly-sliced with a marinade made of lemon and olive oil) was the standout among the four dishes served us. Every bite of the beef was perfect with parmesan and arugula.
The Pasta Marinara was deliciously al-dente with fresh shrimps, mussels and clams and fresh tomatoes. And for dessert, the Tiramusa (coffee-flavored favorite) was a hit among the foodies.
The Quattro Formaggi (four cheese pizza), I didn't quite like. The crust used seemed grocery-bought. It was too thick and the cheese topping, bleh. It was a better version of Greenwich.
Just the same, I enjoyed my Trifoglio experience. If ever (a big if!) I bring a special someone, it must be here at night with a bottle of chilled wine beside a plate of Carpaccio di Manzo.
And yes... no need for a book. Smiles.
[2018-11-20] Trifoglio Ristorante is the second restaurant of a six restaurant food crawl of Tagaytay and Sta. Rosa. We initially had issues while we were taking photos of the exterior of the store. Thankfully, it was sorted out quickly. Food served – I hope serving food on succeeding food crawls/meetups be done similar to this. There is a set of food/drinks used for photos and there is a ‘sampler set’ served to each participant that includes all featured food (and drinks if multiple types/variants) in small size enough to have a good taste. This enables all participants to have a taste of all food/drinks served and eat it while still hot/peak of goodness/freshness.
Trifoglio serves italian dishes. The vibe is relaxed and the food is quite affordable.
We recommend the following dishes:
Four Cheese Pizza - Melted cheese on a tangy tomato sauce and a crispy crust. This was really good.
Beef Carpaccio - The arugula salad and mushrooms on top of the carpaccio was a great compliment to the thinly sliced tenderloin.
There are a few italian choices in Fora and this one is worth a try. If they had fresh pasta that would even be better.

Oh my gosh! You have to eat here! I recommend their Carpaccio! and the Capricciosa Pizza!!! Their dishes tasted like the authentic Italian dishes!
Daryl, their manager, and the rest of the staff were very accommodating!
Also, as of the moment in Fora, they are the only restaurant with a comfort room haha I really need the comfort rooms hahaha
One of the Best Italian Restaurants we've had!
The place is situated in the newly built Fora Mall and in the center of Tagaytay. Got difficulty finding the place as it is located in the far end (after 7-11 and Giligan's).
What outstands me the most was their Marinara Pasta that is well seasoned (scrumptious feeling) and mixed with squid, mussels, clams and shrimp and tasted so fresh like its catch of the day. The Pasta is cooked to my likeness - nice to chew and can absorved all the flavors. This gave me the chance to take a bite 'again and again' in every after dish we take as it is that so yummy!!
The pasta was not left out as we had ordered 2 more, their Rib eye steak (reg), marbled fat which comes along the meat and seared with butter and herbs, perfectly cooked. Meat quality can be improved but probably the reason of having Australian Prime Rib as an alternate option...though double the price. And the 2nd, we had the chance to taste
their calzone! never imagined that the serving was HUGE! and we only ordered their smallest portion (medium size). It looks as though it was a 12-14" Pizza which was folded it in half and sliced to 4 pcs to be shared with the group. Initially I removed the crust, cause why eat it, right? But my gf told me to try it! It is crispy and not tough just the way you like it when you want to end a good meal.. this will be better to go along with their sauce served from the start - pesto and tomato..
Every time we will go in Tagaytay, this will definitely be on top of our list and I'm proud to recommend to try their wonderful dishes and have a taste of the authentic italian style in the cold city near Metro Manila.

The food was amazingly tasty, the service was excellent, and I will come again. My date had the lasagna, and I had the Occo something. It had delicious sauce.
