The bulalo is sumptuous! Not too salty and oily... You can even request for additional soup. Plus, they adhere to Senior discount.
Wide variety of Filipino food choices. Tastes delicious. Polite and courteous staffs.
Leslie is all true the best bulalo in tagaytay, abit pricy but big in servings.... Bulalo meat is tender everything else is masarap.... Our waiter that time is fast and very accomodating despite the fact is raining hard last saturday 08/31/19... We ate dinner here last saturday...
One of the best bulalo and tawilis! I actually want to commend their attentive and polite staffs for the great service, truly the stars of the restaurant. The restsurant offers nice interiors and scenic views. If youre lucky you could be seated near the the great view of Taal lake and Volcano.
Although we're unable to eat here with the amazing Taal Lake view, the food is amazing! We've ordered Bulalo Special and Liempo and was very delicious. Serving is just enough for 5.
Overall we've enjoyed the late dinner here at Leslie's.
Their Bulalo is the second best Bulalo I had ever tried so super thumbs up for that. Also, love their liempo. It was flavorful and the meat was not too tough. However, their sisig wasn’t good at all. It didn’t taste like any of the sisig that I had tried before.
Great service with good food. They say that they aren’t pet friendly but they actually have 2 tables that service those families with pets! Huge bonus for the unexpected accommodation!
We had the Sisig and the Pinakbet and both were good! The service was also prompt. I think the thing they need to improve on is the flies. It’s hard to eat when you’re swatting them away from your food!
Staff is nice and friendly. Bulalo special is huge and delicious! Soup has strong taste and the beef is nice and tender. There wasn't any marrow on the bone anymore but it probably just melted with the soup.
We didn't like the grilled squid. It was overcooked a bit and it has a ketchupy sauce poured over it that doesn't go well with it. :( Couldn't even finish half of it.
Also, this is probably one of the places that are open late at night which is nice for people like us who take late dinners. Most of the restaurants around closes by 10 I think.
My first time trying bulalo, and it was damn good. The meat is so soft, and savory. And a big portion. I think it was meant to be a family portion.
A Tagaytay classic--steaming hot bulalo soup with a view of Taal Lake. The bulalo was soothing and had large portions of beef; just wish it had more potatoes and a bit more greens. The buttered prawns had a delicious sauce. The hot chocolate was thick and delicious; not too bitter and not too sweet. The sago't gulaman was delicious with a hint of pandan flavor.
Service was efficient and there were local musicians playing old and new hits which gave the place a more vibrant vibe. The indoor ambience could be improved however, as it was a bit dark despite being early afternoon.
Dining at leslie's adds a sparkle to the whole tagaytay experience i must say. Food is great (kinda pricey but worth it) and the setting of the restaurant is really captivating 😍
I was about to give them a 5 star rating but i just wanted to comment on two things:
1. Lack of option to choose a smaller bulalo meal since we were only two. The serving is like good for 3-4 people haha. Good thing is that you can take it out if you can't finish it
2. The whole crew was not smiling or even showing any form of enthusiasm. Well, i guess it's because we dined in early morning, they haven't warmed up their customer service skills yet hahahaha
This place hold so much memories and will take you back every time. On my last visit, we came with a group of nine. Leslie still delivered the best, if not the best bulalo in Tagaytay even though I think their recipe somewhat degraded. Also did not quite like their "Leslie's Special" and was disappointed that their seafood kare-kare is already gone in the menu. The place, service, and the food in general however is great.
This place is so amazing. If you ever come here you absolutely must order their bulalo and sisig
But if you do bring alot of people because the bulalo isn't easy to finish
Oh and the bagoong rice as well
All of the food here is amazing and I highly recommend it

It's my second time eating at Leslie's. The food is great, and the waiters are very attentive. Their servings are also generous. The view of the Taal Volcano is nice as well. Would come back again.
The BEST Bulalo. I would definitely come back here again for my next vacation in Philippines. The view was awesome because you can see the Taal Volcano. Great location! 👍🤘
Never leave Tagaytay without trying their Best Bulalo!
Roadtrip and Bulalo Trip!
We had Bulalo and Kare Kare for early dinner And it was a great experience..
Big serving for food ✅
Price is right ✅
The view of Taal Lake ✅
Approachable staff ✅
This is one of the best bulalo you can find in Tagaytay. Has a big serving, good for sharing and you can refill a soup for your bulalo. The ambiance is super welcoming and relaxing. You can even take a picture to the most popular Taal Volcano. Aside from Bulalo, We tried their tawilis, seafood platter, and Lechon kawali. The staff is very accommodating in our request. Surely, will come back soon 👌
Pinakbet - 295 pesos. Good for 3-4 persons na itong dish na ito. As in ang dami and punong puno ang mini kawali nila.
Daing na Bangus - 375 pesos. Sulit! Ang laki ng daing. Good for sharing din ng 3-4 persons
Pork Sisig - 349 pesos. Sizzling hot ng sinerve. Perfect sa cold and windy weather ng Tagaytay.
Ang babait ng staffs/crews and they gave us a bowl of Bulalo soup with pechay. Grabe! Sabaw palang panalo na! Ang sarap! Kahit walang laman lasang lasa mo ang Bulalo. Thank you sa free soup saktong sakto dahil super lamig noon sa Tagaytay
A must visit if you're in Tagaytay for a visit. We asked for a lake view table and they were able to accommodate. What's a better way to enjoy lunch after a long ride from Manila and sightseeing all morning. I haven't been here for a few years and food quality is the same; big servings and tasty. The sisig and signature bulalo was delicious, and as an added bonus we were given extra soup for the bulalo. The atmosphere was relaxing with live band for entertainment if you don't mind the noise.
When you go to Tagaytay you think of bulalo...when you think of bulalo you think of...Leslie’s!!! Aside from the awesome location and breath taking view. Whenever I’m in Tagaytay I always go to Leslie’s. Leslie’s bulalo is ❤️. They offer good variety of food which tastes fantastic.
During our second visit to Tagaytay, we were recommended to Leslie’s by one of the relatives. First of all, the ambiance of this restaurant is amazing. Diners can enjoy traditional Fillipino food with the breath taking view of Taal volcano. Surrounded by wooden chairs, tables and interior, we felt really comfortable, like being at home.
I found their bulalo, beef marrow stew, very salty. Not even sure if it’s a famous dish in Tagaytay. As a big group, we had the luxury in ordering many dishes. Kara-kare -beef stew in peanut butter sauce, tortang talong- eggplant omelete, sizzling sisig, pancit -stir fry noodles, and whole crispy chicken. The mango shake was a little bit thick and sour, but I really enjoyed it.
The band came around each table and entertained us with our favourite songs. Service was quick and efficient. Nice place to dine in when you visit Tagaytay, the Phillipines.
It's one of the go-to place when you want to have the famous Bulalo in Tagaytay.
I love that fatty and flavorful bone marrow which you can just request for free and they give it to you generously so, eat at your own risk! :)
One time, a friend had way too much to handle (and bone marrow floats since it's mostly fat) so God knows where you had to throw it all up while we were on our way back to Manila.
Anyway, the place is big, warm, and homey and the people too were accommodating.
The live band can play old and modern songs which makes the place more lively.
It's not the best Filipino food but I'd still recommend this place to experience for yourself.
Food was great but sometimes they serve it cold already. Though, you can ask to microwave the food again. It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth it.
One of the best ever resto in Tagaytay. For a long I’ve been wondering why Leslie’s name is synonymous to Tagaytay up until today that I had a chance to drop by and eat. Leslie’s over delivered.. the food is amazing, the serving is generous, the place is awesome and the customer service is great.
Ambience
It's insanely spacious! I can't imagine worrying about running out of seats at all. Interesting seats are found way at the back and left side too!
Food
Bulalo Special was goooood! It was very meaty and fit for foodies with huge appetites such as myself. We were able to request for bone marrow (The initial serving didn't have any.) and extra soup (an entire bowl). Eat responsibly!
Grilled Tuna Belly was huge, tender, and you could really taste that grilled flavor! Toyomansi goes well with this.
Service
It was great! Waiting time was fair and worth the wait. Everyone was attentive, happy, easy to call, generous with our food requests, and quick. Some musicians were playing from table to table but they only gave ours one song. It's probably based on customers' support and energy.
Leslie's has a prime time location if you're after a good view while dining outside! They have these lovely Nipa huts that give you the most wonderful view! Of course this would only be a good idea on a nice cool day. The other option is to dine inside. It has a wide space and a little loud. But it's a fun atmosphere!
We chose to sit in the Nipa hut. We had a great view but it took such a long time to get our food. We ordered adobo, ensaladang talong, bulalo soup, and leche flan for dessert. It was quite good. Then once we had been served our food, we looked down and saw some members of staff by another hut and it just wasnt appropriate. One member of staff was smoking beside someone who was eating, and another was drying the plates! I think the staff should take breaks in another part of the restaurant where the diners cannot see. It looks unprofessional and not appropriate at all.
We had some visitors from Singapore who wanted to try Filipino dishes. Knowing that we had to also consider their dietary restrictions for example one don’t eat beef or seafood only pork and chicken.
Since one of the bestsellers in Tagaytay is bulalo of course we had bulalo. Pork bbq and sisig (which they all loved). Food was ok but the service was slow. Ok fine the place was packed but i saw some servers weren’t as attentive even though they were standing around. Had to call their attention several times.
A family trip in Tagaytay.
As to the food:
It was great, tho it was really pricey but I enjoyed the fresh buko. Haha.
As to the ambiance:
I love the wooden tables, suitable for the Filipino vibes being depicted in the place. Spacious and it is not enclosed. Nice place overall.
As to the service:
Was not able to notice much of it, but there is no major inconvenience experience during our lunch in the place.
It was our first time to dine here with my family, and i must say the experience is fine alrhough we had to wait for a few minutes to have a seat, because the place were ro crowded. The foods and staffs were great.
A definite staple when you're in Tagaytay with one of the best bulalos. Price has become quite high but I guess it's driven by demand. I always like ordering the bulalo steak and ask for free soup. Yum.
My trip to tagaytay is never complete without a sip of the hearty broth of bulalo from Leslie's. Their bulalo offers a contrasting comfort to the cold weather especially during the BER months until february. The simple formula of beef broth never fails to indulge the most hesitant diner. Ive never met anyone who didnt grow fond of their broth after a sip. Leslies is by no means a fine dining or a hole in the wall gem of an establishment but it offers consistency, tradition and that nostalgic feel that makes you think of Tagaytay with every sip.
My husband is a person of habit so we usually eat at the same places over and over when his cravings need to be fixed. While I, on the other hand, wants variety and loves trying out new things.
Leslie’s has been one of the hubby’s fave when we go to Tagaytay, I can only count on one hand how many times we opted not to drop by at this resto.
Their special bulalo is super worth the price (which I may say is not exorbitant considering the big serving). I love the veggies and corn which makes the broth sweeter. I’m very particular with beef because I don’t want the beef to be too overpowering. And Leslie’s bulalo is just perfect for my taste. An order I guess is good for a party of 4-5 pax but hubby and I can finish a serving between just the two of us. They have unlimited soup too! Yey!
We usually order pinakbet, sisig and liempo to have variety.
They also have a small area selling native delicacies for snacks or pasalubongs.
Their restrooms are quite unique, with interesting local native designs.
There’s also an area where you can have a good view of Taal Volcano.
Nice place for couples, families, friends and for bringing foreign friends over to experience good food and nice views.
Update: their prices went up and is now almost similar to Balay Dako, sadly serving did not improve with the price.
Update 6/22/19: we traveled from Manila with no sleep since we saw Leslie’s open at 6am. We arrived at 5:45am so we waited in the car for 15 mins only to be told that they don’t open until 7:30am. Talk about a great tandem of hunger plus no sleep. 6am was also written in google as their opening hour (have reported to Zomato about the hours too before updating this review).
Ordered Tawilis, Bulalo and Pakbet.
Their servings are big. I loved their Tawilis Malaman sya. Their Bulalo I find it too salty and the Beef wasn't that soft. Their Pakbet is okay.
Fancy place. I've always brought my friends of different nationalities in this restaurant because of its ambience and of course--their buko shake and bulalo. Service was a bit slow on the day of our visit probably because it was a holiday weekend and they have fewer crew! Overall, experience was great and my foreigner friends love their food!

Been here twice already. As usual, the whole establishment is jampacked. This is the only thing i don't like about this place. Kailangan pumila parati.
Buti big portions food nila. Although the quality is puede na. Still a good restaurant to visit for your Filipino food fix in Tagaytay.
one of the best bulalo i had in tagaytay, and they provided a nice spot for me and my friend away from the crowd the ambience was just perfect~! good when bringing someone important to you
The food, service, and ambiance was great! It has a nice interior. There is also a bridge! How cool is that? Portions are great. I can't argue with that. 💕
We ate at Leslie’s and ordered the following:
Bulalo Special - 625php
Inihaw na Liempo - 299php
We didn’t really expect na good for 4 people pala yung serving nung Bulalo! I definitely find the price worth it. It was riched with flavor and ingredients! (halata naman sa sahog sa photos dibaaaa) Dito nasira diet ko and napa kanin ulit talaga ko nakakainis pero masarap kasi heehee The Liempo though tasted like your ordinary meal from the karinderya.

Go-to place when balikbayans hit Manila. The place has a spectacular dining view you'll feel Taal volcano is just a stone's throw away. For the food - they are good. It's just that sometimes, some items on the menu are not readily available, like the last time our family went here, the sugpo / prawns were not available. Nevertheless the place is special as we have spent a lot of lunches and dinners here to celebrate family milestones.
Our family's go to restaurant whenever we are in town at Tagaytay. The cool breeze with the scenic Taal Volcano is a refreshing sight away from the city. All your favorite Filipino dishes can be savoured at Leslie's. There is always a huge crowd so it takes a little bit of wait to get the attention of the servers. Love the fact they now have "free soup" while your other dishes are being served, a simple taste of how delicious their bulalo is. Unlike other native restaurants, the crispy pata from Leslie's is worth it because it really has the meat on it, the tasty part. Their sisig is also a tough contender for the other restaurants to beat. Having the guitar serenading you adds to the entertaining atmosphere to it.
Our favorite restaurant if all time in Tagaytay. Definitely a must visit for all tourists and licals alike. We have been visiting this restaurant for over 7years now and they have never failed to surpass our discerning palates.

One of our favorite restos when in Tagaytay this place is a classic serving Filipino food. Love the location as well over looking Taal volcano and lake. Avoid meal rush hours as lines and wait times will be horrible
Our usual treats whenever we think of tagaytay--Leslie's always top our list. It's a go to place in tagaytay,as it boast the scenic view of taal lake. The sisig was not sizzling when it arrived at our table, the crispy pata is excellently crispy paired with the sauce, definitely yum! The sugba platter is also a hit!
Hands down the best bulalo I ever tried! The place was packed when we got there, luckily we were among the firsts to get a table. We initially wanted to be seated outside for the view, but we were told the wait could last for 45 mins. Everything we ordered was savored with enthusiasm! Somebody was even selling mango iced candy inside that we also enjoyed. The big bonus is the view outside of course.

Leslie's is one of the popular dining place at Tagaytay located along Magallanes highway. The preparation time for the food is 30 mintues. Our waiter was too slow. We've tried their special bulalo instead of the regular bulalo. The only difference about the special bulalo is that it has corn and potato.
We also tried their Pinakbet but it has a bland taste and the vegetable is too dry.
I really love sweets! For dessert we've tried Mango Tango Ice Cream drizzled with chocolate and strawberry sauce and OHH heaven it's soo delicious! The mango used was very sweet and the vanilla ice cream on the side compliments the mango, chocolate and strawberry sauce!
Leslie's is one of the very well known restos in Tagaytay, at least for my group of friends it is. We like to have lunch outs here and even bring guests to taste delicious Filipino food. Not onky do they have great food, they also have a great view of the Taal lake and it's volcano. It's great to eat there on cold months like this but not quite on summer because the restaurant is open to the outdoor air. Even if Tagaytay is high altitude, it still gets hot up there in the summer.
My recommedation:
Bulalo - They have delicious Bulalo and it's perfect for cold months like this. Order a big bowl and you can share it with a group of 4 or maybe even 5.
Tawilis - Since it is near Taal lake where the only fresh water sardine in the world is found, you have to try the Tawilis.
OMG I super love the Filipino cuisine they're serving! I love the bulalo perfect with breezy air in the evening with matching band that will serenades you while enjoying the food!
The famous Leslies. As usual, the place is too crowded and requires you to reserve before going there because you might not have any seats. But the food is great.
Tagaytay has been famous for its breath-taking views and prominent for having the best 'Bulalo' (beef shank) in the country. Note its chilly atmosphere that adds up to the experience.
In search for the best Bulalo in town and for more time together, we came across Leslie's, a restaurant right beside Villa Ibarra - where our friends held their wedding. Me and college circle haven't met since May when one of our friends also got married (OMG they're tying the knot one by one nakakapressure! Hahahaha) so we decided to hang out and eat more.
The resto is very spacious inside, it could keep large groups of friends and/or families for dine-in. Too bad we came in late at night, the view of Taal Volcano while eating could add up to our excitement. The place is so cozy plus there's a mini band serenading each of the tables while people are eating.
So the highlight of course is we ordered their famous Special Bulalo for Php 625. Well, the only difference of it from the regular beef shank that they're serving is the additional corn and veggies. We also got two family rice servings and pork sisig because I'm craving for one.
I did not expect the serving was quite fast - I thought it would actually take 30 minutes or more. And I actually would not mind if that's the case because my friends and I were busy chatting about what happened at the wedding and updating ourselves with each other's lives. So yeah, the serving's fast and we got too excited for the bulalo!
The beef shank is great - uhm, not so sure, because I haven't tasted other beef shanks yet to compare. But the sabaw is so enticing, the flavor is so beefy and the meat itself is tender. The pork sisig was medium scored, nothing special, but still delicious.
My rating: 4.0 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We spent 2 days in Batangas and while we were having good food, I was craving for some mean Bulalo. So on our way back to Manila, we made a side trip to Leslie's. We had the set package good for 5 and ordered some extra sisig for good measure.
The food was perfect. We savoured everything on the table and even asked for more rice.
We enjoyed our lunch with a view while being serenaded by the local band.
Exactly like how it was 5 years ago when I last visited. 😊

We were looking for a good bowl of Bulalo and ended up trying Leslie's.
Special Bulalo (P625): Service was pretty quick but it seemed that the soup needed more boiling time. The beef was very tough and the soup got cold easily. Serving was huge, it was good for 4, and flavor is good though.
The restaurant setup is nice compared to other Bulalo joints but I have tried better Bulalos around Tagaytay.

Leslie's has been around for quite a while. Classic Filipino dishes are always on the table. However, when we recently dined in, it seems that the delicious flavor faded. The food seems bland. We had Special Bulalo and Seafood Chopsuey. Serving is huge and each plate has a mid-range price.
This restaurant has a nice view of Taal Lake / Volcano. Outdoor seats are available. I think the nipa hut area gives a relaxing dining experience (though we didn't go there coz we were with a number of kids)
I had eaten here before when I was younger with my family and it's good to be back to eat there again with my co-blogger, Lloyd, and our couple friend. We dined here during dinner so we didn't get the chance to see the view. Well, even if it's already morning time, I don't think we'll still be able to see the Taal volcano since it is covered with fogs. It's the rainy season. At least, they offer entertainment through an acoustic band who can perform one's requested songs. We just feel bad not giving a tip to them.
Anyway, these were the food that we ordered:1) Leslie's Bulalo Special - We surprisingly found this big and meaty and filled with joints which our friend found to her liking. Although they don't serve it in a heated bowl since it cools right away because of the weather, slurp the soup right away since they give soup refill. You just have to ask for it. We were just disappointed with the bone itself since there was no marrow filling to scoop. We know it's bad for the health, but that makes Bulalo as Bulalo.
2) Buttered Prawns - It only contained 5 pcs. of medium sized prawn drowned in butter and garlic. I guess if you're eating at Leslie's better stray away from their prawn dishes since you won't be filled.
3) Calamares - We were happy to see that they have a lot of serving for it. It comes with a mixed ketchup and mayonnaise dip.
4) Steamed Rice (Family Size) - We think it's good for 5 to 6 people. We still had a lot of leftover rice.
Leslie's Restaurant, Is our fave bulaluhan spot in Tagaytay. ❤️❤️😊😊 The BULALO here is yummy and the servers are friendly and attentive plus there's a live band singing from table to another. 😄 I recommend this place if you're in Tagaytay and crave for Bulalo. 😊

** Sorry for posting the review so late ,
Recently updated my reviews due to hectic schedule
1st time to visit and experience this kind of ambiance HAHAHA my friend suggested this place , since im enjoying the place the taste of the foods adds to my excitement as well
First time trying bulalo out and was told that this was the place to be. I can say it was a present experience. The food was ok but service was less to be desired, even if the place was not that packed.
Just your normal bulalo place. Nothing special on their menu as well plus a little pricey. I like the place though.. it has lots of tables and has access to great view.
It was upon my insistence that we drove over from Sta Rosa Laguna to Tagaytay in order for me to finally have a taste of the famed Leslie's.
We arrived at a vast place with truly breathtaking views of the Taal lake, that which alone will be enough of a reason for us to schedule a visit again soon.
As for the food, out of the 6 dishes we ordered, the chopsuey stood out. Their portions were generous, especially their bulalo, and so everyone had a feast and still had enough leftovers for the next day.
Will definitely consider to pay them another visit soon!
