Try the place, they got great food and price sulit sa budget with a cool ambiance, first time to visit the place but definitely were going back
The Ribs and Cheese cake are amazing. The Lemon grass Flavored theme is unique and in a league of it's own , a blend between Filipino and American cuisine. Ribchon is definitely worth a visit .
Will definitely recommend this place to my friends. Superb ribs and chicken! :) thank you!
A very good place to dine. Ordered baby back, bangus, chicharong bulaklak and bulalo. Lahat masarap! Cant wait to have our next visit.

nice place, warm atmosphere, good service, yummy food....really enjoyed the okoy bites
The new joint #WhenInTagaytay! Check out ribchon_homeofthebabybackbaboy! Home of the Baby Back Baboy (sauce optional! it's that yummy)! Got the Ribchongganisa, Ribchon Kawali (not your typical one!) and Okoy Bites! Dont forget to smother your chorizo rice with Tanglad Oil!
Place looks great and far away from the crowded area of the city. Definitely a go-to resto when in Tagaytay!
We ordered the full rack Baby Back Baboy and the ribs are tender and juicy. The souos are also delicious, Sopa de Ajo and pumpkin soup. Then there's the bulalo steak, gravy pa lang ulam na. Can't wait to go back!
Loved their Salad with cesar dressing. And their ribchon is delicious! Will definitely return and recommend to friends. :)
Thank you for the nice accommodation, ambiance and also the best ribs! I really love the taste of the original ribs! You deserve 5 stars ;)
Ordered their ribchon full slab that comes with pumpkin soup, salad, tanglad oil rice and barako dressings. Also got sinigang sa miso and okoy bites. Love their ribchon altho some were a bit burned. Not much on the sinigang but was thrilled with their okoy bites. Will surely come back to try on their other dishes. Price is okay. We were billed 2,400.
I loved it here. Ate here today for the first time under the new normal (GCQ). The service was fast and the food was excellent! I ordered the crispy corned beef hash silog and it was heaven!! Super comparable to gourmet pubs but at half the price. My bf ordered the ribsilog and let's just say it disappeared in under 10 minutes. Huge surprise with the food! I seriously want to go back here even if it's a long drive!
My sister has been recommending this restaurant. Quantity is good, and quality is really great.
We've ordered:
1) Sisig - crunchy and flavorful
2) Sinigang na hipon - Very sour (sarap!), seems they have used sugpo, or maybe tiger shrimp which are really huge. Shrimp was not overcooked, good job, Ribchon! :D
3) Beef Caldereta - I was expecting for a Batangas Caldereta (cooked with liverspead, cheese, worcestershire sauce and WITHOUT veggies), but taste exceeds my expectations, it has plenty of veggies, and the beef is tender.
4) Crispy Pata - Perfect! Crispy and not overcooked!
5) Lumpiang Sariwa - VERY BIG!
Not aware about the prices, sorry!
Great food, good price. Went here with family ☺️
Amazingly, I like this resto. Their Lechon Ribs is quite unique, although I am not a fan of tanglad. Overall their food is a great value for money. Their crispy tawilis is also cheap compared to other restos.
Good food at reasonable price!
Place is clean and Earth friendly. They use metal straws instead of plastic, and eco bags and tupperwares for takeouts.
Overall experience was superb. From the ambiance, food. We were surprised that they served the food in 10 to 15 mins only. We ordered bulalo, pinakbet, monggo, sisig, karekare, calamares and everything is masarap. The tanglad oil goes well with plain rice. I suggest that the crws should be more friendly and approachable.
Ribchon is one of the restaurants that makes me want to drop everything and go. Now that's a little dramatic😅, but not a lie entirely.
I live in Manila and travelling to and from Tagaytay just to eat at Ribchon says something about this chic restaurant. My all time favorite is their Crispy Baby Back Baboy(Crispy Fried Ribs) paired with their Kapeng Barako Sauce. And the garlic rice topped with Tanglad Oil goes really well with the Ribs.
Went on my weekly hunt for fruits and I was brought to Mahogany Market in Tagaytay. I was able to get Red Lady Papayas, langka, avocados, saba bananas, sweet and plump mangoes, buko juice and meat, coconut milk, watermelons and pinipig. On the way, I spotted Ribchon, and I remembered how the guests at my eldest son's wedding raved about this Tagaytay resto. So, might as well give it a try since I am here and it's a little past lunchtime (they close at 3pm and we arrived past 2).
We got the Half Rack Package for 2 which included soup, salad and rice for P760. For the soup, we had one bulalo and one pumpkin soup. We chose the tanglad vinaigrette dressing for the salad and tanglad rice upon the recommendation of Brian, our waiter.
After a few minutes, Brian came out with 2 bulalo soups which were piping hot, since the pumpkin soup was made from scratch and he didn't want one of us to wait. Being close to Mahogany Market pays dividends since you could really taste the beef flavor in the soup. The pumpkin soup arrived and it was delicious, just the right consistency with a hint of butter and cream but the pumpkin was the star.
The salad greens were fresh (this is Tagaytay, after all) and the recommended vinaigrette dressing was fantastic. It was a combination of onion, garlic, lemon, tanglad and vinegar. It just gave off the right sour notes that after finishing the greens I sipped it like soup.
The main attraction of ribs came and initially I thought half rack might be "bitin" for us. But, the serving was big and could definitely satiate two. The ribs were beautifully rubbed with their signature coffee rub and some secret spices. They gave us plastic gloves so we could use our hands in handling the ribs. Boy, did they come in handy because no knife and fork job could do justice to feast on these magnificent ribs. There were additional condiments on the table; spiked suka, soy sauce-vinegar, tanglad oil and kapeng barako sauce. You could actually play with the flavors with any or a combination of these sauces. I found out that with vinegar it would taste somewhat like lechon, soy-vinegar and it's crispy pata, kapeng barako makes it Ribchon. It's also great with tanglad oil. But, the rice is best with tanglad oil and a smidgen of vinegar or just tanglad oil is fine.
We were pleased with our experience here at Ribchon. I love it when you're eating food like listening to an opera. There are soft, muted tones and loud and sustained vibrato. Such is the flavor musicale Ribchon presents.
A very cozy atmosphere. I like the Industrial design of the resto. The food is amazing! Food proportion and presentation is awesome, the sauces are heavenly (try the tanglad oil and barako sauce), They have a friendly & informative staff when you ask about the menu. Price-wise, it is affordable. Gives you the chance to try out their dishes without breaking too much of your wallet. 😜 💳
Oh i almost forgot to mention their Caldereta...man, the sauce was so rich and the beef was really tender. I looove it! 😘👍
I've recently tried their HUGE fresh lumpia, it's also a winner. 👍
Will definitely come back for more! Keep it up, Ribchon! 🍖😋👍
I first read about Ribchon on OAP and was able to try them out during one of my work trips to Tagaytay. During lunch hour on a normal weekday, the place was packed with around 80% of the tables occupied. Our group ordered a full rack split into original and crispy. Side salads and the soup were so good (I liked the salad with the tanglad dressing the most). The full rack of "Ribchon" arrived and looks just like the photos on the review of OAP. The ribs were really good BUT same as lechon, it leaves you feeling unhealthy after finishing your meal. =)
Went here last Friday, sobrang solid ng Baby Back Ribs and their Bulalo Steak! Ang saraaaap! 💖💖💖 I give my complements to the staff kasi ang bait nila tapos sobrang accomodating sila, and the place is so nice and neat! 5 stars for you guys! We will definitly come back here
I had seen this resto for quite sometime now so I read the reviews here in zomato for some feedback. Since the feedback were mostly good we decided to try it.
The ambience is good and the Airconditioning is very cold. The staff were welcoming and attentive.
We were a party of 6 with 2 picky senior citizens. I said picky because both of them.were good cooks, so most of the pinoy restos that we went too they always had a negative feedback. But this time, they both like it and my mom was touched that the chinoy (the owner I presumed) opened the door for her when we were leaving.
For the food, we ordered half slab of ribchon, sisig,. Lomi, waffles with bacon and the okoy bites and leche flan for desserts.
The sizzling sisig is a bit salty for my taste. The lomi taste good (though it still needs a bit of citrus flavor) and the serving size is really big. The waffle also comes in big size with generous amount of bacon and it tasted good.
The food that really stands out for me is the ribchon and the okoy bites.
The okoy bites were crunchy and one can really taste the "alamang" flavor. Aside from the usual kalabasa, they also used green beans and sweet potato. The serving size is generous too.
For the ribchon, i was surprised that the half slab were enough for the 6 of us. Some of the ribs were meatier and some were not. It was not a "fall of the bone" kind of ribs but it was tender enough to chew. I liked how simple it was marinated (sorry im not fond of the smoky or bbq flavored ribs) with just salt and pepper with some herbs in it. The rib sauce was good too, not too sweet. I wonder how some reviewers said that this is pricey. As.compared to the ribs of texas roadhouse and racks, this.one has more value for money.
The half slab order also comes with 2 soups, 2 green salads and 2 rice. We chose the bulalo soup which were very tasty. The garlic rice is superb and the green salad, the mustard dressing is a hit while the tanglad vinaigrette tasted good too.
Finally the leche flan. Since we saw a lot of diners ordered this one, we tried it and it didnt fail us. The leche flan has a rich and creamy texture with the right amount of sweetness.
This will be added to our list of tagaytay fave. My mom already told me that she wanted to try the kare kare next time.
We were here last week on a week night. It's better to come on a week night. Love the ribs, tender satifying. The tanglad salad and rice was refreshing and new. I like this new flavor for a change. Chicharon bulaklak was really good too, crispy and not to salty. Skip the tempura. Service was fast, like the ambiance.
Something different in tagaytay cuisine. The ribchon ribs and ribchon bacon - both have great blend with the sauce and rice! The place is good for group dining with good ambiance!
A must Try in Tagaytay!
Very accessible via commute or with car. The place is big and clean specially the comfort room. Excellent service. Our server is always smiling everytime we ask favor. Instagrammable place! 📸
The food was great! 😋 But the tawilis will taste better if it is crispier.
All in all it was a great dining experience! 👍👍

I've been wanting to try this out since I'm a ribs lover. So this was first in our itinerary for a quick day off getaway! Great take on baby back ribs, unique sauces, complete meal and pleasingly great service. Must try in tagaytay :)
Ribchon is a 10-minute walk from where I live and I often find myself fighting the temptation of ordering their sinfully delicious, cholesterol inducing best seller meals. It’s a great place to treat yourself once in a while. Every thing I’ve tried so far are incredibly delicious. The deconstructed kare-kare is phenomenal, my husband never eats kare-kare until Ribchon. Their bulalo is also one of the best I’ve had in Tagaytay, and that’s coming from someone who’s lived here for four years. Definitely life changing.
The ribs are cooked in a different way that preserves the taste in the meat. The flavours of the ribs are also quite refreshing. The set meal was quite filling. I am looking forward to my next visit. Lipsmacking experience!
We had the full slab of lechon ribs — they come in either original style or crispy. The waiter recommended half and half servings of each.
Ribs were tender and tasty, we all preferred the crispy ribs as they were more flavorful and were falling off the bone. The ribs come with salad, soup and rice so while the price may seem a bit high, you get good value for money.
We also ordered boneless chicken skewers, a generous serving of lemongrass flavored grilled chicken.
Instead of the more expensive bulalo, get the nilagang baka, if you’re craving for beef soup. Half the price and the serving of tender beef cuts is good for 3 or 4 people.
Service is attentive, courteous and efficient.
Come early because parking is good for about 6 or 7 cars only.
Number of times visited: Once.
Parking: Available.
Food: At first I was expecting fall of the bone, smoky, sweet ribs – and we didn’t get that. Was puzzled initially, then I finally got it. We were so used to that kind of ribs that we forget that it can be prepared in several ways. The name of the resto is Ribchon after all. A portmanteau of ribs and lechon.
The ribs were cooked in lechon herbs and marinade and it was quite good. The kapeng barako sauce complemented the ribs. They suggested to mix the tanglad oil with the rice and I totally loved that.
Loved the salad that came with the ribs, fresh and the tanglad vinaigrette was also good.
Price: Quite expensive, almost 800 for a half rack of ribs.
Service: Attentive and helpful. I love it that they explain their food and sauces upon serving.
Place: Industrial themed interiors and spacious. Quite a photographic place. The CRs are clean and pretty too.
Repeat: Yes! If we go to Tagaytay again.
Nice, minimal interior design. They were just on their soft opening though. Food’s good. Loved the Bulalo Steak and the Tanglad oil, poured it all over my rice. 😬
We Just ordered full rack of ribs that is good for 4. It comes with salad, soup, rice, and ofcourse, lechon ribs (half fried and half roasted with herbs). You can choose different flavors of each item per person.
My favorites were tanglad salad and the classic ribs with herbs. We also tried the newyork cheesecake. It was also good. The place is nice because its christmas season. Overall, we enjoyed the food.
Been trying to dine here but failed several times due to the influx of diners and zero parking availability. So we went on a weekday and was successful getting a table.
The interior and layout of the place were airy and very cozy. Almost dust free and very clean. Was impressed with the color combination and that brick wall with RIBCHON label on it. The comfort and wash rooms were also tidy and dry. Really well thought of design.
As to the food, I was very impressed by it too. We got the Half Rack Rib matched with Tanglad Rice, Chorizo Rice, Pumpkin Soup, and Tanglad Vinaigrette Salad, Pork Ribs Kansi, and Okoy.
All were delicious! Couldn't complain much about the flavors and texture. Everything served to us was delish. I also liked the barako bbq sauce. It had coffee hint to it which was surprisingly good and unique. It complemented the tender baby back ribs really well.
The Okoy dish was also favorite. It had vegetables with the right crunch and flavor. The spiced vinegar made it more tasty. The Kansi dish was tangy and tasted like how Kansi should be prepared. Loads of batwans. Yum!
Will definitely go back at night when the weather is colder and try other dishes.
Nice ambiance, friendly staff. I enjoyed some menu items more than others. I actually found their star dish, the ribs, a little underwhelming. I guess i was looking for a bit of char or smokiness. On the other hand, the skewered chicken, beef brisket nilaga, and chorizo rice were very good. Wouldn't mind coming back, though I probably wouldn't order the ribs again.
Went here for dinner with some volunteers before heading to our immersion. The place looks amazing esp in the evening.
Ordered the Full Rack Lechon Rib. I like the pumpkin soup and salad. The rib (not-so-much). I was kinda expecting that t'was fall of the bone (or maybe not because its lechon?) Meal is best paired with a bottle of beer.
Quite pricey, but understandable. The service is okay. The restrooms looks neat. Limited parking, though.
Food was great. Ordered the sizzling beef tapa and nilagang baka. House iced tea was also great, not from the packet.
It's near Mahogany market. Can be easily located.
the ribchon's baby back ribs which according to them "what you really came here from" was a disappointment. The meat is dry and walang lasa. But their pumpkin soup and salad in honey mustard sauce is good, their kansi could've been better if the ribchon in it is malambot, the taste is good. Their chicken lumpia shanghai is also ok and their chicharon bulaklak are the best i've ever tasted. The place is clean and the ambiance is good
The ribchon is too salty!!! Haha. It IS tasty except that it's too salty and the meat is a bit dry. They have their own sauce called Kapeng Barako Barbecue Sauce and Tanglad Oil, which is nice. They say you can mix the Tanglad Oil with the rice like what you do in Mang Inasal (though I ordered Tanglad Rice so I didn't have to). We ordered a Full Rack meal set which includes: (1) a rack of ribchon, (2) four cups of rice of your choice, (3) 4 servings of salad with dressing of your choice, and (4) four cups of soup of your choice.
