First time to try this out and it did not disappoint. My fave was the squid ink pasta. As for the pork kimchi burger, expected more kimchi/spice on the burger since it was supposedly the highlight of the dish. Maybe a sidedish of kimchi would do to feed the kimchi craving of the dish. Service was good as well.
Good cozy place to hangout. Not crowded, you can have business meetings here. Good food, I really loved their pork and chicken menu. Worth to try in the Nuvali area.

We went here on a Monday and they apparently have a Monday promo wherein their food items are 20% off, which is great!
My sister in law got their pig pen burger, she loved the patty and the sauerkraut! She enjoyed it a lot. But she thinks that the buns doesn’t pair well with the burger, so I hope they do improve on that. It’s served with supposedly crispy onions and fries, both were limp and cold which was a let down.
We ordered fries, it was crispy but not salted properly so it didn’t taste much. My niece enjoyed it though, like any other 5 year old who likes potatoes.
I got their combo meal of breaded pork with curry sauce, red cabbage, and rice. It also came with a banana cheesecake. The pork was yummy! Such a good quality of pork with a great curry sauce, I’m a big fan of Japanese curry so this was a delight. The rice served with it is quite a lot so it’s very much worth it. I’m not a Big fan of the cheesecake because the crust tasted like sugar cookies.
My niece got their fried chicken with spaghetti off of their kiddie menu, it came with a comp ice cream which she also enjoyed. Their serving of spaghetti was a lot, sulit! It’s not Filipino style spaghetti so some kids might not appreciate it but my niece loved it. The chicken was crispy but not that flavorful, it’s also served with ketchup instead of gravy so it appealed to my niece.
The servers were great and accommodating, the ambiance is good too! Would totally come back and bring some folks with me to try their bar menu!
Food was great and the place was nice to chill at. Since it is also a bar, the ambiance was a bit dark than the usual restaurants. The staff were nice too!

This is our regular watering hole. A Scaled down version of The Black Pig. You will find an assortment of both Asian and European dishes. A fair selection of pica-pica, full course meals, wine And craft beer. Their cocktail selection places them In a superior position over the local competition in the valley.
Mushroom with Truffle Soup - it’s good but not impressive.
Crispy Chicken Skin with Salted Egg - very good and must try! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Asian Salad - also good;
Grilled Tamarind Chicken - delicious especially with the dip it comes with;
Beef Brisket - while the meat is tender and the dish itself tastes good, the plating could be improved.
Chorizo Pasta - I had mine customised with parmesan cheese and drizzled with lemon. Yummy!

My husband and I ate here on our anniversary. I had this crispy pork with hoisin. I do love hoisin so much but what made me enjoy this dish more is the tender pork inside and crispy coating outside. My husband ordered the pork belly kimchi and it tasted ok. We had dulce de leche praline for dessert, it was served cold. It was heaven in my mouth. I loved it so much. The staff were also very nice and accommodating.
First time eating in Pig Pen. The place looks classy. I love the color. Black. For the servers, all are friendly and kind. Service was great! Food — love it. Worth the price. Ordered hungarian sausage with mixed salad and banana cheesecake. Cheesecake was sooo good. Drinks? We ordered peach cucumber lemonade. I thought I wouldn’t liked it, but wow. I love the taste of it! :) Love their plating too. Instagrammable. 👍🏻

Located in Solenad 3 at Nuvali, Sta Rosa, The Pig Pen is one of the places I'm definitely visiting again. I ordered the Pork Belly Kimchi and it was just mouthwatering good. The combination of kimchi and pork belly was just perfect.
Loved the Pig Pen in Makati. Hungry in Nuvali, we came in here when we spotted it. Their group set took the guess work out as we just picked from their available seats
Flavours are almost the same but the presentation is a bit different. The sisig wrap is pale compared to the golden brown we ate in Makati. Plus it’s a little wet here, so it wasn’t fried that well. I also enjoyed the salad.
Great food and even greater service! Went here on the way back to Manila for some late lunch. I was very impressed by the ambiance. If we weren’t from out of town we might have made this our regular place. Good choices of whisky for me and cocktails are available for my girlfriend as well.
We ordered the European Salad, Crispy Pork & Hoisin, and Pork Belly Kimchi. For your first time, you wouldn’t go wrong going for their best sellers. The interesting flavors were executed very well but you have to rely on their sauces to get the full effect.
Our server for the afternoon was very professional. Even though there was a small issue with our order, he quickly resolved it without even reasoning out. (We might have even given the wrong order after all) What’s more is that once we were out of the restaurant, he even went after us to return what belongings we left.
We would definitely come back should we be near the area again!
Got this beautiful rice bowl with fried pork belly and kimchi. Definitely satisfying and serving size is good for one hungry person! I wish there was more kimchi though and this would've been the perfect dish for me. :)
My officemates ordered tamarind chicken and fried chicken -- former is good but lacks a more evident tamarind sour taste while latter is really good, according to them.
Sample platter for 6 will introduce you to their best sellers. Place was neat and tidy, and the crew were friendly and attentive. Will visit again!
If you are looking to spend your money for good food, I would highly recommend The PigPen. I ordered Pulled Pork Canneloni (pasta) and to my surprise the taste was absolutely amazing! Moreover, my mom ordered this combo meal called Pork belly paired with a cheesecake as your dessert for only 395.
Wanted to dine at Silantro, but it was mad packed so tried out this resto. Definitely recommended and better to pay the extra bucks to dine right away then wait.
Ate here with my firlfriend for our anniversary. The staff here are very accomodating and friendly. They even let me taste the iced tea first before I order one and it is good! We ordered the rib eye steak and pork belly kimchi and both are superb. I recommend this place and will surely come back! Keep up the good service!

A bit hesitant when we first ate here because we haven't experience dining at this restaurant. We don't know what's the taste of the food they offer or if we'rw going to like it. But we had no choice since it was the only restaurant with vacat seat that time.

A great place for family and friends to dine at. The food selection is great. They have salads, pizza, beef and pork dishes. I loved the cappuccino and the Italian Bolognese the most among the viands I've tried. They have group bundle meals as well. The WiFi is good.

I like cuisine that are truly authentic ,I'm not a fan fusion.But here at Pig Pen they made their food differently without veering away from it's true character .They serve mostly Asian food,yet they still have pastas and western favorites as well.
Have tried their prominent dishes like the ff:
Beef Papadum- their version of nachos but instead used the Indian Papadum as chips with ground beef,cheese sauce and salsa ,the simplicity, thinness and crispness of the papadum raised this dish into another level.
Grilled Tamarind Chicken - a Southeast Asian take on BBQ chicken,a montage of tropical Asian herbs and spices like lemongrass,coriander and peppercorn as marinade ,brushed with tamarind sauce to give that superb distinct subtle tanginess .The inclusion of the green Mango and papaya salad as sides brought back memories of my Indochinese journey.
Crispy pork and Hoisin - crispy pork sisig wrapped in shoestring potatoes,the texture of this pork dish is a charm ,the Hoisin sauce made it very Asian.
Pork belly and kimchi- who wouldn't be a fan of crispy pork belly ,just be sure it's crispy and nice marinade then I'm an instant fan.This is a good stuff with kimchi as a side dish .A comforting Asian favorite.
Pulled pork Cannelloni- fresh cylindrical pasta stuffed with pork smothered with cheesy white sauce,a delight for white sauce lovers.
European Salad an assortment of green lettuce,with black olives, parmesan,red radish, cucumber,croutons ,feta drizzled with honey mustard sauce as dressing.A meal itself perfect for health buffs.
Beef shank, mushrooms and bone marrow-bone filled with shredded shank meat , chopped mushrooms and marrow,this could have been phenomenal if they don't mixed the shank meat with the marrow for a more flavorful and pure taste.But it's good.
Overall a great place,good service ,I love the lighting ,a perfect place to hang out,to have some beer and they serve great local craft beers too.

Overall PigPen does that: give you good food with pleasure.
Design is described as a balance between natural and industrial although it does give more a vibe of a stylized canteen; what with tables and chairs placed almost at elbow length, it can't be helped almost all restaurants in the area have the same size.
Service is good and prompt, attentive and knowledgeable of their menu.
Food serving is just right in portion, served at good temperature in a simple, visually appealing presentation. Had a refreshing Tomato and Salted Egg salad, though the tofu was more prominent in taste and portion that I think it should be renamed "Tomato-Tofu Salad" instead of "Tomato Salted-egg Salad," but it's good nonetheless and refreshing, makes you whet your appetite to eat. Papadum tortilla is not a fave, a bit over cooked and burnt to taste, it easily crumbles to touch. Pulled pork cannelloni in carbonara sauce is good: pasta is good, light carbonara sauce that doesn't overpower the pork which was just rightly seasoned, tender and juicy. Deconstructing the Pork belly kimchi bowl: the pork belly is good, the skin has just the right crunch, tender meat that is lightly seasoned; kimchi is not so good and the rice is too mushy for me; bowl is topped by soft-boiled egg cooked just right. All in all still good.

The owners of this aptly called Pig Pen love pigs. They do have a Black Pig restaurant in distant Alabang and am guessing they live somewhere in the south. These two are concepts of Chef Carlos Garcia and his partners Ms. Tricia Villacorta -MacDonald and Ms. Berna- Garriz. We got to indulge in a number of their Asian and European fusion thanks to a Zomato food crawl here at Solenad 3.
The ambiance is on the casual side with little cute pigs on their walls. The menu is full of pork and quite surprisingly they also offer lots of organic green choices. We were served first their colorful and fresh European salad filled with crispy lettuce, pickled radish, Blue ternatea, sliced black olives, julienned carrots, dried berries, nuts, and croutons. A worthy starter for only Php 480 to share.
This was the fifth stop of our eating spree and I was not able to try a lot. They also sent us an unusual croquette, yummy black ink variety, fried pickles, deep fried crisp onion rings, sour and savory Pork Belly Kimchi and tender Beef Shank Mushroom.
I almost forgot we got the sinful Bone Marrow as well. This was slimy good and very rich. I suggest this for the adventurous and healthy.
For a drink, I was served fresh orange with carrot, a refreshing healthy drink I needed after a day of gastronomic proportions. Try Pig Pen, it's out of the box, they worked hard for their unhealthy and healthy menu.
Excellent service. Excellent food. Nice presentation. Pumpkin soup was nice and creamy. Tamarind chicken was refreshing and light. Nice grilling. Crispy pork was interesting and tasty but a tad oily if you eat too much. Good pricing as well especially for gourmet casual food.
We ordered the Grilled Tamarind Chicken, Pork Belly with Kimchi, Pulled Pork Canneloni, Fried Chicken and Asian Salad. Service was fast. Food is good for sharing.
We've been here twice. The first time was just me and my husband on a Wednesday so we got a glass of Sangria. I had the Roasted Garlic Chicken and my! It was delicious! On our second dining experience, we were with my family for Mother's Day. We had to wait for a long while for the foods to arrived, which is understandable because it is Mother's Day. For some reason though, they gave us Truffle Pasta coz they said we ordered it. We were hungry so we ate it anyway. It was the first food to arrived. I'm currently pregnant so I'm a picky eater. I can't eat anything with garlic and onion. The Mac and Cheese also satisfied my cravings for cheeeese. Overall, it was a good dining experience.
If you're in for some European-Asian fusion, then you should try Pig Pen at Solenad 3 and their 2nd branch at Legazpi Village, Makati. They offer a wide variety of foods. But i highly recommend that you try their Chicken Mole, Grilled Tamarind Chicken, and Beef Shank Mushroom and Bone Marrow.
You must also try their Onion Rings and Black Ink Croquette for appetizer.
Pig Pen is also one the best place for you can visit after spending a long day at work. They offer local brews and have their own cocktails. China

My friend and I dined here last Sunday (Apr. 9). We were looking for a restaurant that serves salad ('cause my friend's on a diet and all she wants is to eat a bunch of salad lol) and while walking my friend saw this place and we decided to try this out as we're constantly trying out random restaurants. Okay so here goes:
Food (6/10) - Food served to us was "mediocre". My friend ordered their Asian Salad (We've asked which is their most recommended salad and they've told us that this is their best seller) While for me, I ordered Crispy Pork & Hoisin i was expecting of a big serving considering the price but oh well i got a lil bit disappointed. I liked their fried rice though. Had to order again their fried rice and it costs mostly around 50 pesos.
Cons:
- I didn't like the wanton in it. It tastes awful! It's a bit sour and doesn't smell good. I had to drink a whole glass of water just to ease that awful taste.
- I didn't particularly liked the meat itself i can't even taste any slight of meat! It only tasted good when I poured the sauce to it.
Service (8/10) - Their attendants were pretty much attentive except for that one guy who literally ignored my friend when she was asking for him to take a picture of us. Oh i liked the guy who keeps on making our glasses full with water without even asking for it.
Cons: They could have been more cheerful when greeting their customers.
Ambiance (9/10) - I liked the ambiance itself. It gives off that kind of resto bar vibe.
Cons: Place could be more lighten up 'cause i find it a lil bit dark.
Overall, we didn't really much enjoyed our experience here as there are also other good restaurants in Nuvali to pig out.
The Pig Pen is a casual diner and bar that offers Asian and Europian fusion. They offer breakfast and a good variety of locally-sourced drinks and beers on top of imported ones. For the food, I first indulged in the salad. The European Salad was full of lettuce, pickled radish, fresh purple petals, sliced black olives, julienned carrots, dried berries and nuts. The salad was great!
Next, I tried the Papa Dom's Nachos . I had Kimchi Pork Belly (P 350) as well. It was great tasting pork meat cutlets with kimchi sauce. Beef Shank Mushroom and Bone Marrow (P 420) was something extraordinary! Double thumbs up for this dish. It combines the rich flavor of the bone marrow and the prime beef cut. It was like sinking my teeth into a premium cornbeef brand.
Grilled Tamarind Chicken (P 380) was cooked perfectly. The chicken skewers were so succulent that you can really taste how good the meat used was. I recommend that you visit this restaurant when you are in Nuvali.

Our last, but definitely my favourite stop during a foodcrawl in Nuvali! This innovative and casual restaurant is actually the sister company of the more established Black Pig Bar in Alabang - "younger" but going places as well.
There were a handful of noteworthy dishes and offerings at the Pigpen, but a few standouts are: the chiller full of local IPA beers, the fruity sangria (which i looooved), Indian papadom nachos with beef and carnitas, and the tamarind chicken. Everything was well thought of, balanced, and bursting with flavour.
Definitely a place i would frequent if it were closer to home.

Madness overboard and sumptuous dishes at The Pig Pen . This is casual all-day dining place in Nuvali,within Solenad 3 at Nuvali Santa Rosa, Laguna province.
This is another brainchild of Chef Carlos Garcia and his partners Ms. Tricia Villacorta -MacDonald and Ms. Berna- Garriz.
Their menu reflect strong Filipino , Asian , American and European fusion , One should not miss the opportunity to dine out in this restaurant.
The sitting capacity is inside is between 60 to 75 people at any given date . However, it is advisable to pre-book the restaurant if one is planning to invite some friends or relatives especially during weekends. Outdoor area can accommodate between 15 to 20 people.
Onion rings is thinly sliced with the right amount of spices and deep fried in batter mixture.

Last and definitely not the least for our stop was The Pig Pen. The Pig Pen is a casual dining place which owners are the same with Black Pig in Alabang. They offers food that is Asian and Europian mixed. They actually have a combination of everything. It is a restaurant/bar. The interior is consists of cute pigs that are drawn on their walls. They do breakfast too and have their own coffee supplier. A good hang-out during weekends as they serve different drinks, beers and local brewers.
We honestly enjoyed our last stop at The Pig Pen. They served us not only delicious food but pleasing to the eyes too. Every food was plated nicely, was thought carefully and some has its own twist. Their Black Ink Croquette is far different from the croquettes that I tasted. Their Homemade Potato Chips and Nachos are good combination with their wide arrays of drinks. Papa Dom Nachos which has Indian Tortillas is their newest offering.
I love their Grilled Tamarind Chicken, Pork Belly Kimchi and Bone Marrow.
Meals are all for sharing but they also have solo plates. The Pig Pen is one the places that I recommend for you to visit when you are in Nuvali.

The Pig Pen – A Good Reason to Pig-out
One of our favorite finds in Nuvali, Sta. Rosa is The Pig Pen. The name of the restaurant is enough reason to spark curiosity and we are so glad that we were able to visit them in one of the food crawls we attended. Thank you Zomato! The Pig Pen is a casual dining restaurant that serves modern Asian, Latin American, and European food. Along with the broad food choices, they also serve carefully crafted mocktails, cocktails, wine and locally brewed beer - kudos to them for supporting local suppliers.
We loved how minimalistic and simple the interiors of The Pig Pen are. There’s a display of beverages on the corner and an open bar that whips up all the handcrafted beverages they offer. The colors around are of gray and wood, which reflects the typical colors of a pig pen and there are also hand sketched design of cute little pigs all over the place.
As for the food, we had plenty to try during our visit and everything looked very neatly plated. It’s very obvious that the food was well thought of. We loved their Black Ink Croquette, Fried Pickles, Onion Rings, Pork Belly Kimchi, Beef Shank Mushroom and Bone Marrow and European salad complete with edible flowers. For the beverage, I personally liked the Blueberry and Pomegranate with Basil but their Sangria and Hibiscus Iced Tea are also worth trying. For the cocktails, we highly suggest the Bourbon Sour because it’s very clean on the palate and not too strong.
The Pig Pen is the 2nd restaurant to be opened after The Black Pig which is located in Commerce Center in Alabang. They are currently in the middle of opening a 3rd restaurant which is set to open in Makati. If you are planning to go to Nuvali during this summer, try The Pig Pen and we guarantee that you will now regret it.

The Pig Pen is an offshoot of The Black Pig, a restaurant located in Alabang. They almost have the same offers as its big brother, but at a more affordable cost.
The place got an urban feel in it that has a very inviting vibe to just chill out and wait for happy hour. They had the place designed to cater not only families but barkadas as well. IMHO, I really love at what they did to it.
The food is no less superb as well. The Black Ink Croquettes are their bite-sized version of paella. It may taste weird at first but it goes well at the end. Onion Rings are thinly sliced, really good as a bar chow. Same goes for their Potato Chips and Nachos, bar chow material. The Grilled Tamarind Chicken is AWESOME! It is very tasty, well marinated, very tender, definitely one of my favorites.
They also have a selection of local brews, both commercial and indie. They also have several cocktails that you could try on. I enjoyed The PigPen Bourbon Sour that they made. It’s something new to my taste but you could really enjoy.
Overall, I really love the entire experience! I just wish they had a branch in the North that we could try out.

My favorite among our 5 stops in our Solenad Food Crawl. Their food are not only very appealing to the eye, it's all very tasty and delicious too. This place is sure something worth visiting especially if you're someone who loves to share her/his food through taking photos of it!
The favorite dishes among those served to us were Grilled Tamarind Chicken (SUPER YUMMY GUYS!!!! It's just chicken but omg idk it's really delish), Black Ink Croquette, and Pork Belly Kimchi. Their grilled tamarind chicken's citrus-ey flavor went well with the salty and smokey flavor from the grilling. I really loved this dish. It's also perfectly seasoned and tasty even inside! The black ink croquette was visually appetizing. At first, I didn't expect it to be made of black ink rice; i thought it was brownie! But upon eating, i liked it because of how the crunchy outside improved the texture of the black ink Japanese rice inside.
The pork belly was very tender and despite being just okay with kimchi l, in general, I really loved the combination of it with the dish itself. Their nachos were a bit over seasoned for me but the flavors were okay. Their salad is also very interesting. It's very classy and garnished with red radish and asian pigeonwings which are all edible. It's like a garden plated into a dish (which they totally pulled off)!
Overall, I really recommend this place not just for the fancy titas out there but also for the adventurous youth who loves food and photography! The place's concept is very cute because the interiors are designed to look like a pig pen! The staff and the owner were very nice. BTW, they serve quite a number of local beer brands here. Don't forget to try it out! :)

If there's one place I'd definitely recommend to friends for a visit should they drop by Nuvali and Solenad areas in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, it would be at The Pig Pen. Why? From its über cool interiors and extensive drinks (both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages), down to their awesome food offerings, you'd never go wrong dining at this place, dude!
There were so many things I enjoyed at The Pig Pen namely: Black Ink croquettes, Onion rings, Poke Belly Kimchi, Beef Shrank Mushroom and Bone Marrow, Chicken Mole and Grilled Tamarind Chicken. I super duper loved everything they served the day we dined in. You know just too well how much effort the staff, the chef, the owners have put into each dish. The minute I took a spoonful, I wished there's a branch near my place. Sadly, I live in QC and Nuvali is like three hours drive sans the traffic. But I really wouldn't mind to go thru the hellish traffic if I'm served with fantastic foods such as the ones being served at The Pig Pen.
Excellent service, very nice ambiance and really good food + extensive beverages, what more could you ask for? Everything's here at The Pig Pen. The only wish I could ask is for them to open a branch somewhere in the north so that I can frequent the place more.
Went here for lunch and super loved the food. Everything we ordered was worth its price and the customer service was really good. The pumpkin soup, pulled pork cannelloni and the crispy pork hoisin is a must try!

They are hospitable and attentive to my needs. They know their menu thats what i can say. Unlike other resto, they just hire and the waiter doesnt have a clue on whats on the menu or what the food is made of.

Good tambayan for a PIG appetite like me
Food is delicious. The braised pork shoulder was very tender and the taste is just right. The fresh sausage was juicy and indeed fresh.Their peach cucumber lemonade was also refreshing. Price is fair and reasonable. The place is quite small though so it might be crowded during peak hours.
Me and my buddy tried their set meal. A dish was not available so our set was modified. We got the one that was good for four. Excuse us. Pulled pork cannelloni - this was okay. My friend loved it; European salad - the works! Edible flowers, beets, and many more fresh ingredients. I loved this; roasted garlic chicken - this was excellent; crispy pork hoisin - this was the shit. You can't go here and miss this. Overall it was a good experience. Bang for the buck especially with unlimited iced tea and rice. Another gem in the south.
There should be more branches out there of The Pig Pen! It was unfair that only Laguna was getting to try this resto. I'm sure that many would prefer to dine as long as the quality would be maintained.
I ate their Roasted Garlic Chicken and Banana Cheesecake.
Their Roasted Garlic Chicken was an absolute heaven. The portion of the chicken was huge and I commend them for that. Quality was guaranteed indeed. The sauce that went with it was complimenting the chicken well. The size of the rice and the chicken wasn't proportionate so that was why I gave them a minus star.
Their Banana Cheesecake was divine. The roasted banana toppings were sweet and crunchy. Truly recommended!
Crispy Pork & Hoisin Sauce is my favorite among all the others that we've ordered, the meat is so tender that you can eat everything including the cartilages that are left with the meat that you'll leave no trace of the meat once you've finished plus the hoisin sauce is so good and perfect with it.x))
The Pork Belly Kimchi is also good and refreshing to eat, the spicy kimchi really compliments the crispy pork belly.(Photo not included.)
We also tried their pasta (Pulled Pork Canneloni and, Beef Shank and Pork Lasagna) and it was surprisingly good and although you will not get the usual taste of sauces from other pasta theirs were savory because of the generous amount of beef and pork in it.:)
All in all it was a good experience for us here. They even served us free Sangria and different kinds of bread.:)
Asian Salad was the best food we ordered.
Chicken Mole & Pork Belly Kimchi was good too but I think that it is too expensive for its serving size.
I wish they will have one in North!
I appreciate the industrial design that Pig Pen has ('coz that's my peg). Also, I appreciate the friendly staff.
Head's up: They have a very fast wi-fi. Also, they don't have a restroom inside the resto. You need to go out, which is okay.
My favorite was the Roasted Garlic Chicken. The tenderness of the chicken is nothing but excellent! I also tried my friend's orders (tho I forgot the names). The one I also love is the Pulled Pork Pasta.
Overall, I had a very great experience. I am just looking forward for a branch somewhere in North. ;)
Even from the outside, one can see the well-designed interiors of this place. It gave away that relaxing vibe where you can eat your food without anything else in mind. They also had good service, made sure that your needs were attended to. And as we were going through the list of beers, the waiter was kind enough to voluntarily give us a free taste of one of their best sellers. We also ordered the Crispy Seafood Surprise and the Beef Shank and Pork Lasagna. Food was great, though I think the Crispy Seafood Surprise was a bit expensive for its kind. I particularly loved the Beef Shank as it was tender and flavorful. Will probably go back to try their other dishes.
We've been here twice so far this year. Same owner as Black Pig in Alabang, but this is the more affordable version. Our favorites: Crispy Pork & Hoisin, Pulled Pork Canneloni & Pork Belly Kimchi. Reasonably priced and great food taste and quality plus nice interiors too!
I tried this restaurant out of curiosity. I was trying to avoid eating pork but since Philippines is such a "Pork Republic" so I finally gave in.
Tried their pulled pork cannelloni and I enjoyed this dish so much (even though it is bordering being salty) that I felt like the portion is quite small. I will definitely order this again when I come back.
Another dish that I tried is their waffle, not a big fan of this one.
I love the industrial feel of the place, it is quirky and not intimidating.
Definitely a must try in Solenad.

There are a lot of restaurants in nuvali where you can dine. Choosing between 3 restaurants is stressful especially when you haven't tried any of the 3. Ended up at the pig pen since I have been eyeing to review this place whenever I'm in the area.
Ambiance I would say relaxing & interiors were industrial type simple yet classy. I love how the walls looked like brick walls ( or is it really?) also love how they settled for dark colors which really gives this place a classy fine dining feel. Looking from the outside place looks expensive but believe it or not their menu is affordable. Menu was very colorful and nice ; napkins were customized it was too cute to use.
We ordered:
Pumpkin soup : served hot and it was seasoned well.
Pork belly & kimchi : no wonder why this dish is one of their best sellers. Pork belly cooked to perfection with its tender meat and crispy skin coated with kimchi served with java rice and egg on top. For Php 240 it's a pretty good deal. Serving of rice is also more than a cup I guess. It was a lot I tell you.
Chicken mole: crispy deep fried crisp topped with kinda like a Mexican sauce with jalapeños on the side.
Over all dining experience was excellent. From service to presentation of the food this place has got to be one of the best in the area.
Out of all the restaurants in Solenad 3, Pig Pen caught my attention the most. They don't have neighboring restos yet so you wouldn't have a hard time thinking which to choose. The Black Pig's sister restaurant has it's same feel. The price is cheaper though but the quality of food is the same! They have variety of "easy" dishes to choose from which isn't intimidating.
When entering the restaurant, on your right, you'll see a freezer of their "go to" snacks and craft beer (overpriced though!).
Always go for the rice meals— SULIT.

The Pig Pen's store looks great with the very simple and industrial design. Staff was very attentive to a customers need from the simple table napkins to the refilling of their bottomless iced tea. Ordered the shrimp burger with a side salad and it was fine, tastes good but nothing special. Took advantage of being in Solenad and ordered another from their menu which is the squid balls which is at around Php 90. Its your usual squidballs but skewered with chilis and tossed in their hot sauce. All in all, experience is great but the prices are quite heavy on the pocket.
One must not miss this place in Solenad. Dishes were served fresh, tender, and light. Not too oily and salty. Prices are very reasonable too. Another plus is that they are using local ingredients
We ordered their Corned Beef & Fried Egg, Chicken Mole (moh-leh), Pork Belly Kimchi, and their Pigpen Burger (40% rib-eye, 40% chuck-eye, and 20% bone marrow). Will definitely go back here to try their other dishes.
It's not your typical cafe, I wouldn't go here to study and all, but their coffee is great! If you've heard of the Yardstick Cafe up in Legaspi Village, I think their coffee comes from there.
The place is great if you're looking for a chill hangout. They have a wide variety of beers - local craft beer.
Food for me was a little bland, I wouldn't recommend so much on the lasagna, but I've heard the Pulled Pork Cannelloni is really good.
Although, prices are a bit high for their portions.
However, I'd like to say that this place has very hospitable staff. Would definitely come back soon!
The pork belly with hoisin sauce is very nice. The plating is so appetizing! The pork is so tender too! The beer selection is a plus! Will definitely try them next time :)
