It's about late afternoon we're on our way to Villa Escudero. Traffic all over the place Maharlika Highway to Tiaong. Got the early dinner at Shakeys. We stopped by this place in San Pablo City, Laguna and it's worth the stay and my personal recommendation to you those who want to relive the past to those Spanish era colonial buffs here's the place for you. Reasonable price (we took the family room good for 6) gave discount for 2 SC. Room was spacious air conditioned, big bath. But wifi was unavailable. They have the museum just across the house where relics and antiques raging from cabinets religious icons and figures with paintings and the typical Rizal era type household belongings furniture. Curator is well versed on his subject as he gives you a tour of the area. Food and drinks for breakfast was great I got Langoniza Lukban and Tea my Ching chose the native choco Tablea. All personnel and staff were polite and courteous.
We had a great fun in Sulyap! The food is really great, lalo na ‘yung kulawong talong, pako salad and sizzling bangus. The food was worth the wait. I’ll definitely come back and recommend this place to my colleagues.

Recently, me and my family visited Sulyap for our Christmas dinner...I was amazed with the place...the ambiance is just perfect for a family get together...I love their ancestral homes ... the food is great & the staff are so friendly, I would love to go back anytime soon...I would recommend this place to my friends & relatives.
The place is beautiful and picturesque. Our room was like going back in time. Modern bathroom. The staff very polite and friendly. Front Desk officer, Ellen Tolentino, was very accommodating and pleasant. The price was reasonable. We went on a Tuesday so it was not busy and we practically had the place to ourselves except for the restaurant patrons.
Nostalgic restoration of the past. Superb accomodations , good food and safe location. Gates are guarded and closed at very late hours at night. I am definely coming back and will recommend.
I don't normally send feedback to the places that I've been with, but Sulyap cafe is excellent their service went beyond my expectations, we arrived at 1am and I didn't expect that they can still accommodate us. The place is just so perfect for everything. A good place to relax, very peaceful and the ambiance is so Spanish era time and I loved it so much, It's an all in one getaway place, they have an Art Gallery, a very beautiful restaurant so cozy and the rooms are clean and so pretty as swell, and of course the people who works there are very friendly and I can feel that they are really enjoying working there. I love the place so much.. simply perfect!
Salyup is located within walking distance our summer home, but unfortunately it took us ten years to get there. However, now that we've experienced this wonderful establishment, it has risen to our Number 1 restaurant. Everything was Five Star from the food, to the service to the ambiance. My wife and I highly recommend it.

Rustically beautiful and elegant! Great place, great food, and great staff!
Sulyap made my birthday/family reunion very memorable. We got rooms at the Alitagtag and the Obando houses. I stayed at the Alitagtag house. We got a wonderful veranda where the family hung out in the evening, enjoying the romantic #oldfeels with the convenience of the #nouveau facilities (wifi, a/c, intercom, and really big modern bathroom). The resto food were all great (i loved the Kulawong Puso ng Saging and the Sinigang). The museum visit was made very interesting and educational by our excellent guide. Good job kuya kahit na sa accounting ka pala at hindi curator :) galing!
Sulyap is best visited in the afternoon to evening to catch the old romantic feel.
Their collection is superb. Takes you back to to the time when Filipino families live simply and modestly. Made me appreciate Filipino craftsmanship and the treasures of the past. Even the smell in the morning reminds you of waking up in a wooden house in the province.
The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. And also very instagrammable. We especially enjoyed the Beef Salpicao. Will be back definitely. Highly recommended !
Their boneless bangus is worth the long drive from Manila. Best paired with their pako salad :) Try their sago't gulaman, too!

The place is good. Gave me that feeling of reminiscing of my grand parents old house from flooring to windows and to the comfort room's door lock.
The food is delicious. Pinayti is a must try
