this place is good for a barkada or family treat because at 1500php, you’ll not only get satisfied but you’ll get your money’s worth as well! though we didnt take advantage of the group meal because we’re just 3pax, fajah got the chicken inasal- for him it was okay, it lacked to really make an impact on his taste buds, but it wasnt bad. the free batchoy soup was okay too, wasnt piping hot but it was good, they disnt crimp on the chicharones. my order took a whhhiiillle to be served, bout 20mins, but when the squid sisig came out- omg! it was soooper delish!!! i was surprised to see that the minced squid was fried to imitate the texture of the pork sisig itself and once it hit mouth together w/ the caramelized onions, i fell in love. lunch time even on weekends are crowded!! so come in at least 30mins before to ensure getting served earlier than usual.
I just had lunch here and I was surprised at how great the food was. I'm ranking their chicken Inasal as third best to Chicken Bacolod House in Intramuros and Oks Manoks in Pioneer. Well marinated but tangy and a little on the dry side. Their pork barbecue was just yummy. The meat was tender and lean and the sauce was sweet. Their molo soup was okay, a little bit on the salty / msg side.
This is my second time dining here. The first time I just had dessert, halo-halo and mais con yelo if my memory serves me right. It was good but nothing unique.
It's a typical Filipino restaurant that does live up to the Filipino palette. This time we had the kare-kare laman which was really really good. It serves just enough for me and my companion.
The ambience was okay, showcasing wooden tables, some couches. The place was clean.
The only downside may be the price. It is kind of expensive for food that you can cook in a typical Filipino household for a lot cheaper price and bigger serving.
First time to try here! It's not that disappointing tho. The serving is just a little bit few for the price. We ordered, kare kare (we liked this so much!), grilled petcho (normal grilled chicken), grilled wings (i'm a wing over but I didn't liked this one), calamares (so few for its price), pork barbeque (this is good!) and their pancit canton.
They have very accomodating staffs to think they are free of service charge! 👍
One of the most underrated restuarants I've encountered. Jay J's offers a Filipino Cuisine which could come close to other popular resto-bars in the area if only advertised well enough.
We came by 30 minutes before their closing time but still they welcomed us with a smile. The food was actually good but it was served warm thus, the 3.5 rating. I like my food hot, which I suppose everyone else does too.
We ordered Crispy Pata, Gising-Gising and Tuna Belly. As I said, everything was served warm even the rice which was quite a disappoitment, except for the Tuna Belly which I think was grilled.
The Crispy Pata was tender and soft, not that crispy and if you ask me, I think they could've done a better job at it but it was delicious. It wasn't and didn't taste like burnt coal which I admire about. Nothing special though but it tasted good.
The Gising-Gising seemed greasy, it looked microwaved since it was warm so, I didn't quite enjoy this but still it was okay. It could've been a good dish if only they prepared it right.
Lastly, the Tuna Belly didn't caught my taste buds, it seemed too fishy for me and the scales were intact which was a big off for me. Lol. I personally don't enjoy having fish for a meal so, it's a bit of a bias but I actually hoped this'll be different but yeah, guess I expected too much.
Overall, we were satisfied. The staff were accommodating and attentive, fast service. The place was quite plain but has its own charm and like I said, it could be a great resto-bar if only they advertise the place more and improve on marketing strategy to get people's attention. Relatively cheap without suffering quality and quantity which I admire about them.
My girlfriend and I had our dinner date here last week to celebrate our monthsary. Their sinigang soup is the best! Very sour which i love when it comes to sinigang. I alos like their crispy tadyang here. It was my first time to eat it and i was mesmerized by its taste. Very flavorful and crispy.
This place is very filipino food. Where in you'll enjoy foods like chicken inasal, adobo, steak, etc. Yet, the place here was good, well maintained and organize serving. Continue to keep your restaurant clean and make sure that you give the best to your customers. #justsaying
Relatively cheap food. And the food taste's great (at leasty palate enjoyed it). I had the Inihaw na Baboy (sweet style) and the vegetable Kare-Kare. The Pork was nicely sweet. Not overly sweet. It goes well with the soy sauce and calamansi. The Kare-Kare was so-so. The bagoong was forgetable...
