Sobrang chill place kaya go-to inuman kapag mapapadaan sa Cubao Expo. Mabait pa ang staff. Medyo pricy nga lang ang pagkain.
Okay naman ang Bagnet with Tofu, pwedeng i-share o iulam. Medyo nakakagulat nga lang na lasang-lasa yung kalamansi sa Bagoong.
Fred's Revolucion is a place where everyone is welcome.
Casual chill Cuban vibe together with cheap beers and great food is a good way to start your night.
FGDO Recommends:
Salted Egg Wings
Once there, grab a beer and a few orders of those salted egg wings. Their crips and covered in their signature salted egg sauce that's perfectly balanced with a hit of spice.
Food is good! Wings are super yummy. Drinks are so—so. We didnt like the one we ordered e, it was mango something i forgot the name. Pero yung wings talaga ang sarap. I will go back for the wings 👌
Great place for a chill night. Crowd and music is here is good, for my taste at least. I love that they serve both local craft beer and some imported ones. Their food is decent, you can eat and drink here. If you're going on a friday or saturday night, better to try to reserve a seat or get ready to be turned down.
Friendly and very accommodating staff. Their cheesy garlic fries is to die for. This place is very chill and homey, I feel very comfortable drinking and eating in here whether I am dining with friend/s or alone
If you're looking for a place to drink and eat great bar chow in Cubao, Fred's is one of the best places to go to. Get the farmer's oysters and the banger and mash. Goes best with a cold bottle of beer or two.😀
Really good food and ambiance. Generous serving of holy schnitzel, I also love their chicken chops, and beef stew is 👌 I miss Fred's na! But I'll be back soon. Hehe
Fred's Revolucion is a perfect place for easygoing drinkers who just want to spend some time. I got attracted to this place at the first time I laid my eyes on it. With its old fangled setting that evokes nostalgia, Fred's won our hearts that night when we were roaming around the Expo to find a place. We first ordered their Frozen Margarita and it was good enough to serve us good vibes, not to mention the cool playlist that added greatly for a more laidback atmosphere. Aside from margarita, they have a wide array of beverages to choose from but FYI, they don't sell beers on bucket and they don't use straw on drinks! (If only every applicable businesses will apply the no straw policy, it will be a great relief to our environment.) You should also try the chicken wings in their menu, which serves as right partner to any chilling drinks.
This is a really cool little place. It has great atmosphere and is totally relaxing. Kinda brings you back to the old days of manila before aircon.. The beer was super cold. The staff is friendly too. The food is not nice in anyway. I noticed most of the other customers who were also eating didn't bother finishing their food either. Perhaps it's time for a new Chef. But this place is not about the food. It is all about relaxing and chilling out.
My go-to-chill place when I'm in the area. I just love the artsy vibe of the place. And even when you go there by yourself and stay at the bar area, you will enjoy your own time. You can request to use your ipod or phone to play music. Food is good and has value for your money. They serve local beers and some mixed drinks and wines at the bar. Good for groups/barkada "kwentuhan" after office or school works. 👍🏼
Relatively cheap beer. Chicken Chops was very flavorful. I highly recommend the dish. Although it would be better paired with dirty rice, the mashed potato and gravy is a good companiment for the chicken.
The sausage with curry (forgot the name), the shining light was on the bread that came with it. The dish was a bit bland and could have used a bit if salt.
Service was great considering the number of people on the friday night that we were there.
Protip: They don't have rice here :p
Quaint little bar in Cubao Expo that's choc-a-bloc with small collectibles like beer bottles from everywhere (including Myanmar) and currency notes stuck to the wall from far-off places like India.
We went for cocktails although beer seems to be the brew of choice here. The Minx - Bailey's, amaretto and vodka - was sweet and cheery. The Manx - Bailey's, Jack Daniels and coke was ok. The Castro - chili vodka, triple sec - was very good with a kick both from the vodka and the chili. They make the chili vodka in house.
The food we ordered was good too. Ho Chi Wings - buffalo wings marinated in secret sauce - was finger-licking delicious. Desert Exile Beef Stew - tender Beef cubes in a zesty sauce served on mashed potatoes - was great. Thai Fish Curry on Crispy Noodles reminded us of Bangkok's Chatuchak market. Marvin 's Cheesy Garlic Fries is just the right pica pica with beer.
I love this place! I love the food! I love their cocktails! I love the artsy and chill vibes!
I ordered their holy schnitzel and damn it is holy! It tastes good as well as the side mash potato. It's not for dieters tho because the calories you'll get after eating this dish is too sinful. My boyfriend had some sausage and he liked it too. For drinks, we had The Minx and Red Mango. Both are amazing! Price is fair. Will definitely go back. One of the must-try when going to Cubao X.

My boyfriend and I used to be in here. The ambiance is very majestic, more like antique type of place. We used to order here is colt 45 for my boyfriend, and Brew Kettle for me and a dish of chicken breast with a mash potato and gravy on top. Im not sure what is the name of the food but we both lovin the place so much. ☺️

Had today's special LAMB SOUP and one of their main stays BANGERS & MASH. Both incredibly delicious and filling.
The banger sausage, unlike most filipino sausages, didn't taste of garlic nor was it gamey. It had a tinge if sourness which was immediately followed by saltiness and a noticeable but not overpowering spiciness. The potatoes swimming in gravy were a perfect complement to the overall taste of sausage.
The lamb soup was the complete opposite of the bangers and mash. It had strong gamey and peppery flavour, but deliciously so!
The ambiance is just amazing. Haven't tasted their food yet, but their drinks are hella cheap compared to other places in the metro. The chill vibes and the overall mood of the place is perfect for unwinding after work. It's open air so the noise and the cigarette smoke is filtered out quickly. No complaints except that the service can be a bit laggy during medium-to-peak hours.
Will update this review once I've tried their grub.
spicy chicken wings are love! this place is for everyone who has an open mind, i love the plates its so unique something i dont see in the kitchen anywhere else, and they reuse bottles of mayonaisse as glasses
Their craft beer is good and only for 100pesos per Mug which is relatively more than enough. Will try their food next time. Nice plce to hang out especially for barkada gatherings and discussions.
This is my fave chill spot in Cubao Expo. Just a small place with a few drinking spots.
I liked their ambiance and the bar they have. Cheaper drinks too. I don’t like noisy chill spots/those bars with loud music so I prefer to go here. Just make sure to go there early especially on a weekdays/weekends (around 7pm on wards) to get a great spot. A lot of people are going there on a weekends (except Sundays). :)
This is one of my go-to tambay places with friends. Atmosphere is, like other reviews say, super chill. There's something about the setup that makes drinking there so good.
The food is also super awesome!! They have a special menu that changes a lot and we've tasted quite a number of their offerings but I'd have to say my favorite ones would be the jamon soriano, bacon slab, baboy ramo, and the lamb shepherd's pie (not sure about the name on this one but it was really really good).
I love their chicken chops!!! I just wish they will make the place bigger, and also has their own restroom. This is a good place for the yuppies who don't mind breathing in cigarette smoke. Lol!
Absolute fave place to drink and chill with friends. Awesome food, decent servings and great ambiance. Not to mention, their cocktails at great prices. Not a place to see and be seen. Too bad they close at 12 though.
Great place to chill out and have drinks with friends. I luuuurv the concept. Plus their mixed drinks are a must-try -- you can easily get drunk at a relatively low price. Their oysters the best at 88 pesos (I think, or 80?) Basta, the oysters are less than a hundred pesos. Haha. Also, try their sausages. Someone told me they serve original recipe sausages, though I've only tried the Split-banger, the Hungarian and the Curry Bockwhurst (not sure about the spelling!!!).
PARKING is an issue most of the time, and space (limited tables) at times also becomes an issue.
Perfect place to chill with friends. For buddies who enjoy a chill vibe with drinking and having a great time with friends. Must try their chicken wings! Great value for money. :)
A good place to just chill and have a good time. They serve draft beers for a very affordable price. They also have delicious set of foods, which is a must for nights off work. The bartenders are also fun, they won't let you sulk whenever you're alone at the bar.
Yesterday me and my friends just found this place! You will not find this one of a kind bar in dubai. i will miss this place....! unique concept!
Me and my friends soooo love this place... Chill ambiance, the booze and foods are awesome and very affordable... Holy schnitzel and chili corn carne are a must try for the food and I will recommend adam for the drink... ;)
Fred's holds a special place in my heart; this is where my boyfriend and I decided we should start trying things out. Aside from that, we love this place because it really is a nice place to chill. Not to get wasted, but to talk about things over beer. It's not like those noisy bars/clubs wherein, even if you're shouting, the other person still can't hear you. The place gives you a sense of comfort, though it's an open space.
This is the second time we ordered their Fish, Fish and Chips. The best thing about it is that you get two kinds of fish. The actual fish fillet and it's topped with dilis! Plus, you get french fries! The serving's really filling; it's good for two to three people, and you'll only pay less than 200php for it. The first time we had it, the dilis was really salty, but this time, they were cooked in an almost-perfect manner (the actual fish fillet were a tad bit oily)!
Great staff, good and cheap food and booze! We'll never get tired of coming back!
Went here on a saturday night and the place was overflowing with people. We sat on the smaller area of the resto with the Beer-can collage wall that added a nice touch to the resto. I ordered the Split Banger and Mash, since it was my first time there, and it is highly recommended. The mashed potato is more like a smashed potato because it was chunky and not smooth just the way I like it. The sausage was also delicious. Its like hungarian sausage / kielbasa. Nice place to hangout with friends. But its more of a pub rather than a resto. Still recommend it. :)
The ideal place for your barkada. You can sit and drink for hours here. Super chill ambiance even when it's packed (except when it's raining because the place is semi-al fresco). Food is a bit expensive but it's great, and the items on their menu are unique. Best days to go? Friday and Saturday nights.
Looking for a hidden gem in cubao x area, this is the place for you. The food here is amazing with a constantly changing specials menu written on the chalk board. You can hook up your music but you need to check out all the music that isn't allowed. Haha great list. I crave their oysters with butter and garlic and their desert stew all that go great with beer. Definitely a place to check out
