I haven't been to Galleria for the longest time that I was pleasantly surprised at the big changes in the food court. And since I haven't had anything in my stomach and it was nearing two in the afternoon, I looked for somewhere I can eat with simmering soup. Ergo, Ted's.

I remember having Ted's everytime I'm in Iloilo. So, to help me revisit even in memory, I ordered the Super Special (pork + liver) with a hard-boiled egg.

So, how was the revisit? My Iloilo trips came back on the first tablespoon of the broth. Followed by the tender meat and the egg which I mashed with the soup. Made me miss Iloilo more.

Forever love! Make sure to order the batchoy with fresh eggs. For those who just want the conventional pork meat, you can specify na "walang laman-loob." You can also order extra noodles while refills of the soup or "miki" is free. Their sisig is good too because it's crispy and ma-karne.

I haven't been to Iloilo so I have no idea how does an original batchoy taste like but I must say that this one is a good meal. I ate it with my ilonggo friend and he likes it too. It is also cheaper compare to those over priced ramen 😊

One of the most crowded areas of Robinson's Galleria is their food court. At any given time, half of the mall population is likely here, availing affordable food choices. The lowest price tag for a meal with rice can be as low as Php 60 and could go as high as Php 200. Ted's, a popular Batchoy place pegs the price of their main dish somewhere in the middle, from Php 100-Php 120.

They have Special (pork), Super Special (pork with liver) and Extra Special (pork, liver and inners). Serving size and toppings increase for just an increment of Php 10. I got the Super Special since I am not a fan of isaw (pork intestine). Everything was a delight from its flavor rich soup, tender and lean pork meat, crispy pork skin, soft liver and firm noodles. This warm ensemble was a surprise, I wasn't expecting to rave about it. I suggest you add Php 15 for a raw egg, it gives it a thicker texture.

The puto (Filipino rice cake) was forgettable. It was cold, airy and too sweet. Skip this and you'll stay happy.
