My fiancee loves Japanese food but I don't appreciate Ramen as much as she does that's why we ended up at this Yakitori bar. She had Udon and I got the rice bowl. Food is not that presentable and appealing as per my opinion but it tastes so good! Price is also affordable. We will surely go back.

Salmon Sashimi - Php230
Tempura - Php385
Udon Soup with Egg, Seaweed and Leeks - Php220
Japanese Rice Bowl Grilled Pork Belly - Php175

Nanbantei Yakitori Bar is conveniently located at Eastwood Citywalk. When we visited the place, the airconditioning system is bad, but since there are a lot of people eating inside, we took the chance.

The ground floor of the restaurant is styled as a bar, and upstairs is where guests are seated to dine-in.

We ordered the ff:
1. Salmon sashimi
2. Baby squid yakitori
3. Dory fish with pork yakitori
4. Pork belly yakitori
5. Beef rice bowl
6. Udon soup with egg, seaweed and leeks

All yakitori orders are well-cooked, and their sauce is also good! The noodles and rice bowl are also tasty.

Will definitely eat again here!

Even though this is a yakitori place, I commend the restaurant for good ventilation. We left the restaurant without a hint that we ate something char-grilled. :)

I've been here five times and i still can't get enough of their yakitoris. Their chicken karaage was also worth the try. The japanese mojito was one of the best tasting mojitos i've ever triedā€” theirs was unique. It is a must try. Their rice bowls were also yummy if you want something cheaper and fulfilling. The staffs were all friendly and attentive.

The staff and quality of food are both excellent. Food only seemed overpriced as the quantity is too little. Nonetheless, the food tastes great. We had the Kani Salad, Chicken Skin, Maki, Tempura, and their Fruit Shakes are great! Too bad I wasn't able to take pictures. But this restaurant is worth a try if you're not to conscious about the price!

The place is clean, nothing too fancy. They have friendly and very attentive staff. The food is really good. We ordered the Pork Tonkatsu Rice Bowl, Pork Belly Rice Bowl, Pork Yakiniku and Beef Yakinuku. Our favorite was the Pork Beef Rice Bowl. I'll definitely recommend this restaurant.

Food was ok. The pork garlic is a bit salty for me. Overall everything was good. We will definitely try other dishes next time. Not in pic was the 2 rice we ordered.

This is our favorite date place. Whenever we go to Eastwood and we can't decide where to eat, we always end up at Nanbantei. Our usual orders are Ebi Tempura (380) and Yakimeshi Rice (55). The Ebi Tempura is worth it, usually it's 8-10 pcs. We always pair it with some sushi or sashimi. Their High Ball Cocktail is a must try as well. We always keep the receipt because we get a free california maki on our next visit šŸ˜œ

Had a late lunch there - really late as we were the only customers there. I had the Ebi Tempura and my hubby got the Katsudon. The tempura comes with miso soup, 2 pieces of maki, fruit slices and plenty of rice - I believe it was more than a cup. Really filling. The Katsudonā€™s serving is big as well. Price is reasonable for the generous food serving.

Reasonably priced and delicious yakitori. You can order the Yakitori Sampler and Sushi platter for a variety of what they can offer. I would come back soon.

It looks fancy outside but its pretty affordable for the food that youā€™ll get. Place looks great! It really gives the yakitori bar vibes. Sashimi is delicious too! Just the right colour shade for the sashimi that i want :) Iā€™m pretty articulate when it comes to the colour of sashimi so i must say this is a great thing for me šŸ˜‚ Overall, I would love to go back to this restaurant again and try the bento thatā€™s only available during lunch time

These are the only pictures I managed to take (see attached photo) haha!

The food was okay, however not all menu are displayed here. Can you include the updated prices for katsudon and other ricebowl meals? Thanks!

Spicy Tuna Maki: 4/5 - It was ok. It delivered to what is expected from a Spicy Tuna Maki. Good amount of serving as well.

Chicken rice meal: 3.5/5 - Forgot what this oneā€™s called because itā€™s not part of the regular menu. But it was ok as well, nothing special about it. The serving size was a bit small.

The biggest winner for me here is the price. If youā€™re looking to satisfy your Japanese food cravings at an affordable price, this will be a good option.

I have judged this place too early. Wasn't interested one bit in Yakitori but this place was unexpectedly good!

If it's your first time, I don't think you can go wrong with their Bestseller Plate (PHP270). You get your seasoned rice, fruit slices, maki, and those darling skewered meat - Aspara Maki, Butabara, Momo, Tebasaki, and Tsukune. I was pleasantly surprised. Each barbecue has a distinct, good flavor. I wolfed down everything! I only wish they added at least one more barbecue and it would have been most perfect! Also, ako lang ba or talagang sobrang alat yung Miso Soup?

Needless to say I'll be back! And kudos to you all for the lovely ambience of the store, it's all really clean and well-lit!

This place is surprisingly decent. It was quiet when we were there. Service was average for the PI and food was prompt.

Good: Yakitori, Karaage, Salmon Sashimi.
Okay: Tempura, karaage chicken skin.
Bad: Expensive for yakitori. Ventilation isn't great.Ā  Can't imagine what this place is like packed.

They gave my son a big orange balloon. He loved the food, balloon, and overall experience.

Nanbantei has always been a childhood favorite, so when they opened a branch in QC, I had to try it here.

Despite the limited choices they had compared to the original Nanbantei stores, the taste of the food is still the same - they were able to do this consistently. However, the couple of times I have dined in this branch, I noticed that the yakitori was not served hot. It had already been cooled down prior to serving the food. Hope this is something you can improve!

I can still remember the first time we tried Nanbantei in their Greenbelt branch. Now, we visit this branch whenever we find ourselves looking for yakitori in the North.

We always order their edamame and their sashimi for starters. It's always fresh and delicious.
For the yakitori, we usually get the platters, ebi tempura, and yakiniku. Satisfying to our yakitori cravings. Pair the meal with warm sake.

'Nanban' means ā€œforeignerā€ and 'Tei' means "rest house or teahouse". When put together, Nanbantei means a place where guests can unwind and have something to eat or drink after a long day of work. On the other hand, 'Yakitori' literally means grilled chicken and also refers to skewered food in general.

We're craving for something Japanese that time, and we've spot this new restaurant during midnight. The place looks kinda small on its facade but is actually kinda spacious inside and also has a second floor. We're the only one occupying the second floor when we visited. The place is well-ventilated and there's nothing fancy about it in my opinion.

We ordered the following:

-> 'Salmon Sashimi'was served in eight thinly cut pieces. I think the serving is kinda few, given the price.

-> The 'Yakitori Sampler' consisting of one stick of the following: Aspara Maki, Butabara, Momo, Tebasaki and Tsukune. The 'Aspara Maki' is asparagus wrapped in pork. I liked the tenderness of the pork and how the freshness of the asparagus complements the taste of the thin pork wrapping it. 'Butabara' is grilled pork belly. This is my personal favorite among the sampler because there's a crunchy part for the skin and the belly itself is really tender. 'Momo' is grilled chicken thigh. The seasoning for this is just lots of pepper and the chicken meat isn't that tasty. 'Tebasaki' are chicken wings and I think there's nothing special about it. Last, is the 'Tsukune' which are chicken meat balls. I have great expectations for this one, but I didn't liked it.

-> The 'Beef Yakiniku' is my favorite among all of the dishes we've tried. The beef is tender to bite and the yakiniku sauce is really really good. The serving is reasonable for the price as well. I highly recommend this one.

-> I asked the server if what is their best seller for the Special Items and she recommended the 'Tori Karaage'. The chicken itself is tender but the breading is really disappointing! I hope they'll improve the recipe for the breading because the chicken is delicious. The ponzu sauce tastes okay but I prefer to dip my karaage in the japanese mayo.

Kudos to the staff who are all welcoming and attentive to our requests. They even let my companion choose his preferred temperature for the hot dalandan juice. I ordered the bottomless iced tea, and it helped in cleansing my palate after indulging myself in all these skewered foods. The hot tea wasn't that good though.

Overall, I would go back here to try their sushi, salads, and more of the yakiniku and butabara!

This is my go to japanese restaurant in Eastwood. Whenever I feel like eating anything grilled, I go here. I love their leba maki, tempura and their udon. Not a fan of their chicken karage though. Great place over all. Some servers aren't approachable though.

This recently opened yakitori bar in Eastwood serves a wide variety of yakitori options at relatively affordable prices. I had a hard time choosing what to order so I opted to get their Yakitori Sample (Php 220) which includes tsukune, tebasaki, momo, butabara and aspara maki. I liked all of it along with their special sauce. Most of the yakitori included in the platter is chicken.

They also had a buy one take one promo on beers. I ordered Smirnoff Mule 2 for Php 160.

I also ordered Crispy Salmon Roll (Php 120) sushi with crispy salmon skin. It was salty due to the fried skin. It was ok not as interesting maki flavor.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a new restaurant to eat in Eastwood and we happened to pass by here. I ordered the Yakitori Sampler and tried the 3 variations of yakitori and it did not disappoint.
Though it is quite pricey, the quality and taste of food makes up for it. I just wish they serve the yakitori with a little bit of char. The place is a quite small so be sure to dine in during off peak hours.

Flavors are classic and food was delivered on time. When we started eating I asked my girlfriend if she wanted to order one more Negima (chicken and leek)
so we have extra and steamed rice too (just in case) So we ordered. As we are enjoying our dinner I noticed that my Negima is under cooked so I approached one of the service staff and he told me that he will just replace it immediately. We were almost done with dinner when the replacement arrived. Eventually I had to cancel my additional order of Negima since it was taking forever. I asked one of the servers what happened and she told me that maybe there's just a mis communication on their part. I hope this will help improve your service.

The Yakiniku in this place is very delicious and tender. Me and my hubby liked the Spicy tuna and the particular wasabi that they are using (we forgot to ask the brand tho because we were in a hurry when we ate). We also liked the Tempura because we really like shrimp! Yakimeshi or fried rice is 6/10 for us because it lacks some salty flavor.

Ambiance is 10/10. We felt as if we were in a Tokyo resto!

Servicr is 10/10. Staffs are very attentive. Service is very swift and hassle free. I hope that they will keep up the good work and not just because they are a newly opened resto in Eastwood.
