Tried their Saba con Yelo today. It’s a fancier version of what you can buy on the street. It has the usual minatamis na saba (sweetened banana), sago (pearls), milk, and ice. The scoop of vanilla ice cream on top made it fancy. For P60 (P59 + tax), it was good, though I would imagine others wanting a bigger serving. Nice for a hot summer day. Even nicer when shared with friends.
Max is an all time favorite and even my foreign guests love it. Especially the interesting banana ketchup that is served with their famous fried chicken. This is the lunch pack we buy for lunch at the office with added extra dishes like kare-kare (another popular dish with foreigners) and lumpia shanghai.
I am giving this place a four because of their above and beyond service to customers and their friendliness to toddlers.
We passed by this place every Sunday coming back from church. So this place is one of the convenient choices. The crews greet you with their warmest smiles. Sometimes there are lapses on their end. Same with other restaurants. But they stand out because you can say they are genuine when giving apologies
Friendly to children! Pro active to ask if you need high chair. They offer colouring activities while kids are waiting for food.
You may be familiar with Max’s choices already. I would say prices are reasonable.
The ambiance is also good and warm especially when dining with family. Their attendants will assist you when parking. I hope that more families will patronise Max’s Mindanao Avenue

Max's still serve the same menu over the years but nothing has changed on its taste which is good. However, serving size are smaller nowadays which I hate coz I can't enjoy the food much if serving is too small or not enough for sharing specially when the dish is too pricey.
Air-conditioning at this branch is bad. We were sweating while eating.
Max's is better before. Now, the food quality is not worth a high price! But still, fried chicken here is the best. That's the only reason why i'd like to eat in max's. 😊
Max's Champorrado is my comfort food. Can't do without out it for a month. That being said, Max's is all about Filipino comfort food. Food that we associate memories of our family and friends. It's like happy nostalgia (if there is ever such a thing). Max's will always have a special place in my heart.
Our family is chicken love. Every tome we have our meal we make sure that chicken dish will be serve. Thats why we enjoyed this filipino restaurant.
Maxs is of one the few restaurants that offers a best tasting chicken. They also have different filipino dishes such as sinigang, adobo, kare kare and other veggies meal.
When they have the unlimited chicken promo we truly enjoyed it. We can eat whole chicken and even as many as we can.
This restaurant is true blooded pinoy. And it catches what our taste buds wanted.
