One of the best unlimited Korean barbecue places for me not just because of the quality of the meats and wide range of side dishes but also because even during busy hours, waiters are attentive and service is fast.

At first I was really hesitant to dine here because there are so many Korean Grills in the city na. Hindi ako sure if masa-satisfy ba ako. But my bf convinced me to try their resto.
We availed their unli grill for 2 hours.
Pagtikim ko palang ng beef nila 😍 heart eyes agad. Happy tummy na naman!
Masarap! Masarap lahat. They are serving the meats with cheese pero kahit walang cheese, malasa na!
Yummy sides also. Ang nagustuhan ko is their kimbaps and kimchis.

Thumbs up for their super attentive crew! Ang bilis nilang gumalaw at magrespond sa mga request. They will introduce you to their staff once you enter, ayun daw ang mag aassist sa inyo. Pero kapag busy sya, yung mga ibang staff naman is willing din mag assist. Ikot sila ng ikot sa resto, tumitingin sa customers kung may reuest, checking for their customers' grill (They are very attentive talaga!)

They also have a restroom. Complete with sink, handwash, and tissue.

(4.5/5) It's very sad that I didn't get to have my fill while I was enjoying their unli samgyup promo from metrodeal BUT BOY WERE THE MEATS THE MOST FLAVORFUL SAMGYUP MEATS I'VE EVER TRIED IN MANILA. I don't even know what meat I'm eating, if it'd pork or beef, but I'm always impressed. Just maybe, present the melted cheese a little better, and have side dishes as impressive as Romantic Baboy.

Been seeing this resto all over the biggest malls in Manila for a long time now. We just recently tried it. I've tried a lot of samgyup restos but so far this is the best unli resto for me. The cuts of meat looks and tastes like a premium cut pork and beef. Not too much fat on the beef, thick slices of pork and the cheese is stands out vs the other restos. Also, the kimchi tastes the same in Korea. The resto is not too crowded and It doesn't smell like grease and smoke. We'll definitely come back when we crave for more.

First time to try unlimited kbbq and it was a good experience! I’m a big fan of chicken so I loved how there was one chicken dish. Plus, I absolutely enjoyed wrapping all the meat in lettuce. Good price to pay for a full and happy tummy 👍

Yes, another Korean post! Hihihi. There are lots of Korean restaurants here that yeah, having that dish is easier. With the continuing rise of samgyeopsal, let’s have a go at this Korean Grill. I liked the vibrancy of the place. It sets up for one good bonding session with your buddies. Unlimited side dishes! Still, the fish cake is my fave. ❤

Ate here for lunch with my Habbuuu ❤️ and the food was good. We had a seat right away since there are still tables available. The quality of the meat is actually good, too. I forgot how many serving plates we had for the meat lol. However, for each servings of meat (compared to other kbbq we had), I can’t say it is generous enough because even one person can already finish it and you will ask for another meat after few minutes. It also took quite long for us to get another serving that we have to follow up and they sometimes forgot what kind of meat it is.

But talking about the food, I liked the quality and taste of the pork and beef. We had the Samgyupsal, Unmarinated Woosamgyup, Cajun Woosamgyup, Yalb-Eun Sam, and the Dan Samgyupsal. The cheese itself tastes good and with the meat too! For the banchan, I had the kimchi, sweet potato, kimbap, and the sausage-like I don’t know what it is hahah! But I like the sweet potato and kimbap the most. 😋

Overall, it’s good for me. We were so full and satisfied. I like the place as well which is one of the reasons why I want to try Jin Joo. Some of the staff were accommodating by the way but, it would be better if all of them are. Needs some improvement for their service and serving time, I must say.

MY NEW FAVE KBBQ PLACE!!

I love that we didnt have to wait for too long to eat, unlike other kbbq restos. Their beef and chicken are all seasoned well. They give more side dishes than other samgyups do. Definitely gonna go back here!!

We went for Unli K-BBQ and most of the meats we tried were flavorful-- their chicken being my favorite. They offer a lot of unlimited (cold) side dishes too including cheese. However if you ask for refill, your request will either be late or forgotten by the staff.

Most of them were friendly but there were some who seem fed up. They have a lot of customers during peak hours and serving time becomes slower. Their place is cute and huge and they play loud k-pop music in the background.

Saw their promo at Metrodeal so I & my friends decided to give it a try. They have a good selection of meat, with both marinated & unmarinated ones. They also serve cheese, which for me is better than the ones served at Romantic Baboy & Samgyupsalamat. Although, they have limited side dishes, AND NO FISHCAKE. SAD. They have macaroni & sushi though but it was not satisfying. I like their kimchi though. Overall, this place is a must-try for their wide variety of meat selection, plus they have pretty interiors. But this definitely won’t be my go-to samgyupsal place. And price-wise? It’s hella expensive as compared to other samgyupsal places hahaha good thing we got to eat here for a cheaper price.

So, it was 8pm Saturday. The resto is full as expected. . The lady at the door asked us 4 times I think if we're having their unli bbq and we said yes everytime. We were already seated for about 10 mins wondering why food (even the sides) are not served yet. The table next to ours have their food already. Apparently, we havent ordered yet, according to the waiter. This, despite being asked and confirmed 4 times. Oh well..

The service can definitely be improved. I'd like to commend their server, Dave. Despite attending multiple tables, he remains calm and attentive to the orders.

The taste is good. Almost similar to Romantic Baboy. The grill can be very hot. Our meat are cooked in less than 2mins. Cajun beef also known as cajun woosamgyup and cheese is such an awesome combination. Ideal for cheese and beef (with a little kick of spiciness) lovers. Just make sure to cook the beef woosamgyup at the kast part as it blackens the grill real fast..

One of the most sulit eatigo deals! Reminded me of our stay in Korea since the best part of out trip was the food.

We ate here on a weekend so we had to wait to be seated around 20-30 minutes. However, as we were directed to our table it was still very greasy and we had to clean it by ourselves since it was very busy

The side dishes didnt seem that palatable but the kimchi and fish cake tasted good.
We ordered for the Fire chicken cheese (highly recommend) 180g of their Chadolbegi and Sundubu jiggae.

Its a new fave korean place!

Jinjoo is relatively pricey compared to other samgyup restaurants thats why I have high expectations. The meats did not disappoint, very tender and dont have fat. Pajeon is tasty. Their bestseller noodles, buddae jiggae, is too spicy for me plus they put very small amount of spam and sausage. What standout is their squid dish, they call it Ojinggeo bokkeum. Its sweet and spicy, squid is soft, not chewy. Their side dishes are okay, nothing unique.

Had a bad exerience with the voucher in Metrodeal. I won't elaborate about it kase hindi ako yung nakipag-deal with the waiters and the manager but one thing is for sure: matigas yung pork na sinerve samin, yung samgyeopsal. We were 8 people and sakop namin yung isang long table na may 2 grill. Nung una ayaw pa nila buksan yung pang-grill sa side namin! But we insisted and no choice sila. Hindi gaanong masarap yung kimchi as side dish para sa samgyeopsal. Been to Korea before and sobrang iba ng kimchi don. Other than the samgyeopsal though, we tried out Hameul-Pajeon, Jin Joo's Wings, Mandu and Raboki and it was so delicious! 4 yung rating ko sa review na to despite the bad experience kase nakaka-satisfy naman yung ibang food except sa samgyeopsal. Hindi ko ineexpect na masarap yung Hameul-Pajeon kasi akala ko ordinary scrambled egg lang siya but I was wrong! 😂 Sobrang malasa niya! The Rabokiii muntikan na ko mabulunan sa noodles kasi di ko akalain na malagkit siya, ang chewy sobra pero masarap. Especially the rice cake kasi manamis namis siya tapos medyo maalat then sobrang anghang tapos chewy pa. Malasa din yung mandu kaso ang anhang, ang sakit sa dila at lalamunan di ko keri HAHAHA.

ESCAPING THE KBBQ CRAZE IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE!

Was very fortunate to be invited to a foodie meetup to sample the meats of Jin Joo. Upon entering, it's easy to notice the cute interiors, you'll know how much thought they put into it.

Now on to the food! Jin Joo's edge is their exploration of flavors for their meats. Was surprised to hear they had pesto! My top faves however would be the garlic and soybean flavor. The meats were fresh and of good cuts! Would recommend trying this out as an alternative to the meats we've grown accustomed to. It's also fun to find your new favorite.

Their Bulgogi Jeunggol and Buddae Jiggae are perfect soups on a rainy day! A word of caution: the latter is INCREDIBLY HOT though, but equally delicious!

Over all, it's a pleasant dining experience. A little more expensive compared to the unli kbbq joints but it's easy to see it's because of the quality and care they put in their dishes. If there's any point for improvement, I would love it even more if they had a wider variety of side dishes but that won't stop me from coming back to try the Cheese Deung Galbi! The photos on the menu got me drooling.

Over-all our experience was great! I enjoyed our food and I am surprised to see that the service we were provided were different from all the negative reviews other diners have experienced...

Kudos to Chardy, their staff who made us really comfortable the whole 1.5 hours...

If there's one thing we hope they oversee is their lettuce, it must have spent hours in the fridge or in a much colder temp coz of the obvious brown spots...other people may be put off by this and consider their food not fresh...

We'll definitely be back to try other food in their menu...

We Filipinos are obsessed with KOREAN, from Kdrama to K-Pop and most off all Korean Food like Samgyeopsal. So when I've got an invitation by Jinjoo through Zomato and Johnbunag from Team Kaladkarin I grab the opportunity cause I heard that Jinjoo are known to have the 8 flavors of Samgyeopsal.

First they introduced us their 8 flavors which are herb, smokey barbeque, honey garlic, peanut, curry, miso, sweet wine, and red pepper with six unlimited sidings or banchan. The thickness were not thin nor thick so it's perfectly cut. The pork belly were well marinated. All of the flavors were delicious and for me smokey barbeque and red pepper standout. This costs Php1,560,00 (8 colors, 8 flavors of samgyeopsal). Pricey but worth it!

They also served the below dishes during our stay:

Jinjoo's 4 Flavors - 1,360.00 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
 - Four Flavors: Pesto, Hoisin, honey lemon Sriracha and Cajun

Bulgogi Jeunggol - Php920.00⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
 - Marinated Sukiyaki beef, assorted hot pot vegetables, mushroom, beef broth and noodles.

Buddae Jiggae - Php940.00 (Must Try)  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
 - Ramen noodles, SPAM, Anduille sausage, trumpet mushroom, spicy broth.

Beef Bulgogi - Php390.00⭐️⭐️⭐️
 - Beef strips, signature bulgogi sauce and assorted vegetables.

Dolsot Bokkeumbap
 - Bulbogi Bokkeumbap - Php350 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Short Grain rice withJinjoo special beef bulgogi, sesame seed, roasted gim and fried egg

Gudeung-gui - Php435.00 (Must Try) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
 - Grilled Mackerel, dipping sauce, side salad

Chadolbaegi - Php1,100.00 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
 -USD prime beef brisket

Overall/Summary:
The food experience was fantastic because all food that was served was delicious. It's a little bit pricey compared to other Korean resto that I've tried. The ambiance was nice though it lacks ventilation. The staffs we're attentive and very accommodating. Good Job Jinjoo!.

It was our first time to dine at Jin Joo and it did not disappoint! The staff that assisted us was so nice and accomodating. The place was clean and big but same as the other restaurants where you can cook your own food you will smell like bbq when you go out LOL. Anyway lets talk about their food, it is so delicious! We like everything in their 8 flavors and it comes with unlimited sides. Their buddae jiggae is good for 4 to 5 and you have the option to choose on how spicy you want it. Their fire cheese chicken also has a big serving and is good to eat with rice.

Jin Joo is one of the newest Korean grill place that recently opened their branch in Eastwood. I usually pass by this area whenever I’m roaming around the area, but never did I actually try it until I was invited to a Zomato Food Meetup here a few weeks ago. #zomatofmu

We were introduced to some of Jin Joo’s most-acclaimed specials particularly the 8 Flavours of Samgyeopsal which consists of specially-marinated pork belly. The flavors are – herb, smokey barbeque, honey garlic, peanut, curry, miso, sweet wine, and red pepper. Each of it has its particular spiciness level from mild to spicy. Everything seems so good and the flavours are distinct to one another. We like everything, and I personally like the honey garlic, peanut, and miso.

Next, we had two of their soups & noodles selection – we had Bulgogi Jeunggol and Buddae Jiggae. The Bulgogi Jeunggol is a marinated sukiyaki beef, assorted hotpot vegetables, mushrooms in beef broth noodles that simply reminds me of “nilagang baka” with a richer broth that’s a bit sweet. The Buddae Jiggae is the Korean ramen that’s really spicy! It consists of spam, mushrooms, and sausage on a thick spicy broth.

Then we tried the Dolsot Bibimbap or the famous Korean mixed rice dish in which they had several variants such as Beef Bulgogi, Spicy Seafood, Grilled Pork, Marinated Chicken, and Tofu & Mushroom. We had the Spicy Seafood one that has Samgyeopsal or Korean pork belly aside from the medley of seafood, seasonal veggies, mushrooms, fried tofus, and then drenched with Korean spicy BBQ sauce. It’s pretty good and filling although it’s like your usual bibimbap that you can never go wrong with.

Lastly, we had Gudeung-gui or the grilled mackerel which surprised me because I rarely see grilled fish at any Korean restaurants. Mackerels usually have more health benefits than any other fishes that’s why my parents usually cook this at home. Really love the taste and the texture not being slimy.

Food was good especially the 8 Flavours Samgyeopsal and I’d recommend everyone to try that. It already comes with six unlimited sidings or banchan in which they change every day and is good for 2-3 persons. If you go for the safer dishes, I suggest you try the Dolsot Bibimbap.

As for the price, it’s pretty good though it’s a bit higher than the other Korean BBQ grill place. But it’s the quality and taste that should be considered here, IMO. Please also note that only the sides are unlimited depending on what you get from the menu.

As for the place, it’s pretty hip and screaming youth which is pretty unique from the other Korean BBQ grill which usually have some simple facades and structures.

Thank you Jin Joo and Zomato for the invite!

Korean food is just as addicting as watching Koreanovelas! Yes, you heard it right! I also watch Korean series too... lol...kidding aside. In my opinion, Korean restaurants, so long as their meats are fresh, properly marinated and flavored, plenty of side dishes and kimchi, easy to grill and well ventillated, and with some good old friends to dine with - that's all I need to have an ultimate exprience. To sum it all up, Jinjoo actually has exceeded my expectations anyway so if I could just give more than 5 stars, why not?

We got to try Jinjoo's 8 flavours - a medley of unique flavors they made for those in search of not just regular marinated meats. The flavors consists of garlic, red wine, peanut, curry, herb, red pepper, ginseng and miso. I honestly believe these is one of the best variety of flavors I've tried by far - all perfectly marinated not overpowering each one. Loved the peanut, curry and miso which you can easily distinguish right away. The banchan variety offers the usual kimchi, potato balls, dried fish, tofu, lettuce wraps and raddish, etc. - you just have to ask the staff in case you want more.

What made it more interesting is this dish from the main course, Gudeung-Gui or grilled mackerel. It doesn't have that fishy taste and it was really good. I thought I finished half of it coz only a few only tried it. This would be a nice option if you are having too much of the samgyupsal. Another one is the Bulgogi Jeunggol from the soup section which is marinated sukiyaki beef with assorted hot pot vegetables, mushroom, beef broth and noodles. It was pleasantly sweet and savory and each bowl of hearty soup is delicious. My fave would be the Budae Jiggae - a korean Ramen with Spam, sausage, trumpet mushroom with spicy broth. It was perfect as it was raining that day when we visited JinJoo - this you should never miss. One more dish is the Bulgogi Bukkeummbap - a special beef bulgogi with sesame seeds, roasted gim and fried egg. This bowl of rice and toppings surely is filling but of course, we have room for more. Last one we got is the Dolsot Spicy Seafood Bibimbap containing samgyeopsal, seasonal veggies, mushroom, fried tofu, with korean spicy BBQ sauce. It's not too much spicy but I'm still loving it.

We had some refreshments like the freshly made guyabano juice just perfect for the scrumptious meal. Overall, we had a great time at Jinjoo. The food is fantastic and the service is superb. For sure I will be coming back!

Ever since Jin Joo Korean Grill has opened at SM Aura and they were among the first Korean BBQ restaurants to offer cheese dung galbi, I had been wanting to try it. I just couldn’t find the people to go with since I and most of my friends live in Quezon City. When they opened more branch locations, my plans to dine there kept on being forestalled because I end up dining at other restaurants. Thanks to a Zomato foodie meetup though last June 10, I was finally able to try Jin Joo Korean Grill (Libis, Quezon City branch) with foodie friends.

First time to try a legit Korean BBQ Restaurant and it is all because of a Metrodeal discount.

Ordered rabokki since I loved it from the other Korean Resto I've tried. Their version is saucy, spicy and delicious. This is my favorite, a must order if you love thier ramen and spice.

Chadolbegi - this strips of unmarinated beef brisket. Packs beefy juiciness, great with the lettuce.

Samgyeopsal - got this for 99php only. OK for me but I prefer the beef.

Per google BUDAE JIGGAE literally translated means ''army stew". Budae is Korean term for military base in Korea and Jiggae is soup or stew.

Budae Jiggae therefore is an American-Korean fusion dish created from that war period in Korean history when food was scarce and cans of American spam and
other processed foods from the military base abound.

Earlier this month, I was with my boyfriend and his sister for late night grub. The place looked nicer too because they had livelier colors on the wall and funkier designs.

We ordered Samgyeopsal (Pork, Php 390) Un-marinated pork belly and Wusamgyup (Beef, Php 500) USDA Beef Belly. It had free sides too but you need to order rice which is not included with each order. You can taste the quality of meat they used compared to run-of-the-mill Korean unlimited barbecue joints.

I had two issues:
1) Ventilation
2) The floors and tables were sticky. It was already closing time so that could be a huge factor.

We enjoyed our experience. Brian, one of the servers was really nice and accommodating despite having the closing shift. I would like to commend him for keeping up his energy throughout our visit.

Samgyeopsal is all the rage right now! Korean restaurants have been popping up here and there, offering eat-all-you-can meats (pork and/or beef) with unlimited side dishes. And as much as I love myself a great deal, the meats they offer aren't always of the best quality. Places like those are, more often than not, all about the quantity rather than quality. And it's completely fine if you prefer that. No judgement here.

There had been a rise in samgyupsal, Korean grilled pork belly, eat-all-you-can with different varieties and one of the most famous one we’ve seen is from Jin Joo Korean restaurant with their Eastwood City branch. And on top of that, they offer their unlimited samgyupsal on Metrodeal for an interestingly low P99 for 2!

The staff and the manager were quick to respond in providing and assisting us in our orders and requests. They were also generous in refilling our drinks and our side dishes.

The food was tasty, and the servings were good for big groups.

They need to improve on their ventilation to reduce the smoke coming from the grills. They don't initially provide you extra tissue paper or paper towels so make sure you ask your servers for it.

OK, so despite reading some pretty bad reviews about this place, I decided to give it a shot anyway since I've been longing to try this resto out ever since its opening (I work in Eastwood and I was surprised how the place just popped up at a once-empty corner all of a sudden). We went here on a "promo" so I was kind of expecting that I'd get the same bad experience. Thank the heavens I didn't. So here goes. :D

We ordered only two types: the Four Flavors and the Cheese Dung Galbi. First off, the Four Flavors. Pretty much just a half-serving of the famous Eight Flavors (hello Captain Obvious) and maybe (just maybe!) the ones included here were the bestsellers. To be honest, I haven't tasted meat for the longest time (pescatarian sh*t) but I thought this event was just too good to give a miss. I loved how the servers will cook the thick slabs of marinated meat in front of you, making sure that they're done perfectly. The outcome was a beautifully barbecued masterpiece, perfect for wrapping. (You know how it goes in Korean restos where they wrap grilled meat in lettuce then filled with some sides like kimchi and anchovies).

I also loved how the Cheese Dung Galbi was presented. The servers will melt the cheese in front of you and cover the barbecued ribs in all glorious cheesy holiness. While the ribs tasted great, the cheese was just -- meh. It's like expecting a cheese orgasm but sadly, one didn't get to reach the climax. I supposed the cheese sauce was a mixture of different cheeses that didn't quite work for me. Make sure to eat the thing while it's still warm or you'll end up with ribs wrapped in Velveeta (still not bad for some people, I guess).

Anyway, I also loved that the sides are refillable so you really don't have to eat rice -- and yeah the sides are plentiful and diverse, though not really spectacular but I really can't complain. But yeah, I also have to give it up for the rice that went with the galbi, gosh it was a bomb. I know it's just rice mixed with veggies and eggs and the predominant taste of sweet corn but it was a real treat.

The ambience was really nice, I really can't make something out of the theme, maybe some faux-industrial pretentiousness that turned out beautiful nonetheless? I saw yellows, blacks, teals, and colors of wood. Sorry, didn't get to survey the place really well as I was too preoccupied with what was going on on our 4-seater table. Overall, good job, Jin Joo guys. Plus points for the lady manager who served us who was very easy on the eyes (LOL).Though I have to add PLEASE FREAKIN' FIX THE DARN AIRCONDITIONER. Sweaty pits might ruin the experience, I'm telling you.

I have been all about Korean grilled food since the beginning of this year and I have a few faves I go back to when the craving kicks in. Tonight, we opted for something new. Jin Joo is not really a buffet style Korean restaurant but we were lucky to chance upon their promo of unlimited pork belly and side dishes. Reasonably priced. Pork is sliced thicker than usual but are cut into smaller pieces which actually works because the pork doesn’t end up wrinkly. They actually are meatier. Dip it into uncomplicated soybean paste and sesame oil with salt n’ pepper and voila! Happy belly 😊

P.S. Deducted 1 pt because they are not pet-friendly. I’m biased that way 🐶

JinJoo Korean Grill recently opened its newest branch in Eastwood Citywalk. This is not my first time to try JinJoo. I already visited Jin Joo’s first branch in SM Aura.

Compare to the other branch, JinJoo Eastwood is much bigger, brighter and cozier. I like the modern set up and color of the restaurant. It’s very pop.

We had the following mouthwater Korean dishes during our visits:

📌JinJoo’s 8 Flavours for Php1,560,00 (8 colors, 8 flavors of samgyeopsal) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

Flavors: Herb, Honey Garlic, Smoky Barbecue, Peanut, Curry, Miso, Sweet Wine, Red Pepper
“All the flavors of samgyeopsal tastes good. The peanut, curry and honey garlic were my favorite during our late lunch.”

📌Cheese Deung Galbi for Php950.00 (Fall of the bone BBQ baby back ribs, mozzarella, corn, steamed egg, rice and kimchi) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

📌Fire Cheese Chicken for Php890.00 (Marinated chicken fried in a special spicy sauce, served with melted cheese) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5

📌Dolsot Bibimbap - Beef Bulgogi for Php400.00 (Samgyeopsal, seasonal vegetables, mushrooms, fried tofu, Korean spicy BBQ sauce) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5

📌Budae Jjigae for Php940.00 (Ramen noodles, Spam, Andouille sausage, trumpet mushrooms, spicy broth) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

📌JinJoo’s Wings for Php390.00 (Twice fried wings, sesame seed, dipping sauce, coffee gochu-jang glaze) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5

📌Sacheon Jjajang for Php350.00 (Udon Noodles, Assorted Seafood, Cucumber, Zuchinni, Chunjang) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5

📌Galbi Bon Sal for Php950.00 (USDA Boneless Short Ribs) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

All the dishes we had were so good. And I really like the Budae Jjiggae, actually it was my favorite among the dishes we had during our visit. It’s really appetizing even though the broth was spicy. The Cheese Deung Galbi and the Fire Cheese Chicken was overloaded with cheese and I was drooling about it when I saw how they cooked and presented to all of us! And did I mentioned that the Galbi Bon Sal was seasoned and cooked perfectly and served tender too. Yum!

Jinjoo Korean Grill’s staff provided excellent service that day. The staff were attentive and supportive in providing assistance to us.

By the way, aside from SM Aura and Eastwood. Jinjoo Korean Grill will open two more branches this year at The Podium and SM Mall of Asia.

We went here by 9 PM, not too much people which was great. I loved the ambiance of the place, the pastel colors, neon lights, and Korean thingamajigs.

The first thing that brought us to Jin Joo is their Cheese Galbi. True enough, it serves two people. The ribs that came with it were superb, the meat is covered with mozzarella cheese and comes right off the bone. Super delicious! Then there's the rice mixed with the cheese. Eat it while it's still hot though. It also has egg toppings though I don't think it was necessary. Cheese Galbi is a must order! We also ordered 2 meats, chicken (sweet) and pork ribs! They taste great with the sauce or lettuce.

The service was okay, it didn't take too long for our order to get served, 5 minutes max. Side dishes were also a plenty. My favorite was the sweet potato. Also, they didn't take too long to refill our orders.

I don't usually eat at korean grills but I can say Jin Joo Eastwood has a lot of potential and it gave me a good impression. Will definitely come back!

Jin Joo is actually pretty decent high-end Korean restaurant.

Reading the 1-star reviews here in Zomato (probably Metrodeal users) made it seems that Jin Joo in Eastwood is the worst Korean restaurant ever. It's NOT. It's actually pretty decent if you set your expectations. However, the new restaurant needs some improvements.

Disclaimer: I bought the Metrodeal voucher for 99 pesos for a 390-worth Samgyupsal meal.

Tip: If you have a Metrodeal voucher, it's prudent that you call them in advance for reservation. The restaurant can get busy at times, and calling them in advance is a courtesy to the restaurant. I called them at 3pm in the afternoon and set the reservation at 9:00pm. It's pretty painless. The number is listed in Zomato.

Ambiance: 4/5 - Jin Joo looks pretty high-end. The decorations screams elegance. There are seats outside. Unfortunately, I was not able to experience the grill, since I am dining alone and there are no vacant grill. I choose to seat outside and it's pretty okay.

Service: 4/5 - The restaurant is pretty new, so you can expect adjustment period for the staff. Contrary to others experience, the staff are courteous and they are very apologetic when my order was delayed (later). They assisted in me in preparing the pork and they refilled my side dishes. No hassle, whatsoever.

Food: 3.5/5 - I had the Pork Samggyupsal set and Mandu. For the price, Jin Joo is actually a bit expensive compared to other Korean restaurants. If you want bang for buck, there's Sodam in San Juan and Hwaroro in Timog. The Samgyupsal is decent. I actually liked that the serving was a bit charred (they graciously cooked it inside , since I was not grilling). It could be better but for the deal I get, it's more than okay. The sides dishes are okay. I like the krill and I consumed all the side dishes three times (3 servings each). A Korean restaurant lives and dies for its side dishes, and Jin Joo passed it with flying colors. The Mandu is okay. I was full so I had it taken out. (Note: The Mandu was delayed because the first order was burnt, and it was repeated again)

Samggyupsal - 3/5
Side dishes - 4/5
Mandu - 3.5/5

Overall: Jin Joo is actually decent for a newly opened restaurant. The service is good but it needs continuous improvement and enhancements. The food needs to have bigger servings and refinements. There are certainly much better Korean restaurants there (Sodam is the best, hands down) and much cheaper (Hwaroro, bang for buck). But for a newly opened one, I will grade Jin Joo a passing score.

For Metrodeal users, for the deal you got, don't complain so much. And ALWAYS CALL for RESERVATION.
