I am surprised that there are several Pares Retiro branches already. I only discovered this after they messaged me a couple of days ago for a collaboration.
This franchise now has 6 locations and would likely grow. They serve satisfying pares specials and other rice meals for a very affordable price, situated in a more comfortable setting.
I liked the Spicy Chicken Pares, Porkchop Rice the most.
Nice staff and fast service π my cravings were satisfied!

This is the nearest branch to where I stay and I really enjoy being here. Their beef pares is really good and affordable. Their crew are really good and attended to all our needs. One thing good about this place is Taggo Bar and Grill is just within the place.

This place is pretty well known for its pares, so I was excited to try it as there is a dearth of good pares places nowadays.
Expect to spend around P 150 or less, depending on combo meal that you select. This evening we all chose the Pares with egg combo, and sisig on the side.
I found the pares really good, although my companions were considerably less enthusiastic. The sauce is nice and thick, beef tender and serving generous. There is a hint of Chinese 5-spice or anise (this is the flavor that threw my companions off). Although I barely noticed it - and when I did, I liked it a lot. I find the flavors simple but balanced.
The egg was done absolutely well. Those of us that ordered runny eggs served over easy got exactly that: an egg that could hold up on its own but deliciously soft and perfectly runny. We also ordered one combo that had scrambled eggs, and it was perfectly fluffy.
The sisig was just okay- nothing special. Not bad either. For P 169, it can serve 3, easy.
Service was excellent. Our server's name was Gabriel and he was really responsive and proactive at times. His service was worthy of more established restaurants. We had a great experience with him as a server.
Do not expect first rate amenities - parking is scarce, place is open and the restroom is slippery.
Come for the pares, though, and see if it is to your liking.
The special beef pares was hearty, flavorful and fairly priced, best of all, the extra lotong is available upon request and is free! I'll definitely visit again once if I'm in the area.

It's one of those places that I've totally ignored. Pares Retiro, sits humbly along the busy P. Tuazon Blvd. facing 17th avenue. It got me curious a few years back but never had the guts to go inside. I'm not sure what was the market of this restaurant. Plus, only fans cool down the place, it's not even airconditioned.
The name speaks for itself, specialty is Pares, which is a Filipino style braised beef. The meaning of "Pares" is pair, so it's usually paired with garlic rice. They offer a variety of Pares combos which they use the term "baby". I picked Baby 5, which is garlic rice with 2 pieces of siumai and a plate of braised beef, this comes with a glass of iced tea too. Not bad for 150 pesos. They give free soup at this joint, that tasted like beef broth.
As for my viand, the beef was very tender and flavorful. Although, I find it a little to sweet. Too much of it will make you tired of its taste. The rice was just average. It had deep fried, crunchy, garlic flakes that gives you a crunch contrast to the steamed warm rice. Siumai, well, was hardly noticeable. It was minced meat steamed in molo wrapper... nothing more. It's not bad though, just average.
Since the place is so open, while I was enjoying my meal, cars parked in front of the restaurant. The headlights were annoyingly bright and glaring. It felt like there was a spotlight on you. I didn't like it. For an instant there, I turned into a vampire, snarling against the sunlight.
Service was good. The staff were attentive. Although, you can't really expect proper delivery on the speech aspect. The food was on my table within 5 minutes, and the waitress suggested a meal that I was looking for.
The experience was ok. The restaurant also has a convenient location. I'll probably try some of their other offerings soon. Guests who visited seemed well off as most cars that parked looked rather fancy, but the clients were dressed simply, like house clothes and flip flops. I'll consider visiting again when it's raining and during non-peak hours. At least it's not too hot and confusing inside the restaurant.
Pork Sisig. Not so crazy about the food here. Mas bagay sya actually sa mga galing inuman or gimik. Place is big pero ayos lang. nothing special
Always my go to place after a night of partying, gave a 3.5 for the service. The staff are friendly and are always readily available. Their food is so, so. Not something that would really make you say "Wow". I guess all they need is CONSISTENCY.
Given that this place is near my apartment, I have been here every now and then. There are times that the food is great, but sometimes its not. I hope that they go for the "great" most of the time.
Place is modern yet retains the feeling of nostalgia. Main dining hall has a center counter with seats, much like a bar. Then you have benches along the side.
Food taste ok. Moderate to medium in terms of flavor.

For the place that made the original Pares, gotta give 'em the praises. I can't complain. Through all the years, the taste of it is still so good!
The place is nice for a quick stopover for those who want to get sober or just chill out.
The prices are ok and worth it.
All in all, gotta give it a Yes Again if I drop by the area. :-)
Undeniably the best pares in town! The beef was extremely tender, concocted with the right ingredients that tickled our palettes and satisfied our hungry stomachs. Their pancit was to die for! This was my kind of pancit - not dry and rich in flavor.

Single pares
2 chopsuey rice & pares
Sisig rice & pares
Baby pancit
The servers were pleasantly respectful too. Despite the simple but clean interiors, we were truly happy with the food we ordered. Good thing, we are pretty near the location. This is definitely my new go to pares place! :)
Just the place for an early morning 'recovery' meal after a night on the town. Clean place, decent food, friendly service and open 24 hours - cannot beat that!
Pares with rice and egg was good. Tender beef in a sweetish sauce.
Bulalo was good too. A lot of soup, quite a few pieces of beef. Tasted ok.
Siopao was quite good.
Good food, Great Location. Very accessible for me.

Good food that's cheap but delicious. I've been here twice and their pares has always been a delight. The serving time is also fast and their crew are very courteous. It gets difficult to find parking though especially during happy hours.

Bulalo = 260
*This is a good for two bowl of bulalo. I find
this the least tasty bulalo I have tasted so
far. Portion of beef is most likely good only
for a single person. The totality of this bulalo
is absolutely forgettable. π
Pares with Rice = 99
*My instant favorite, not because its very
affordable, but because of its balanced yet
rich flavor. Unlike to usual pares in the metro
which are overly sweet, this pares is
outstanding, not so sweet and not bland. π
The place is big and well ventilated, which is
conducive for group goers. Their staff are well trained and very accommodating, they would even ask you about your food experience, once they hand you your bill. πππ

Good ol' pares for 99 pesos???? Why not?! Their soup is good! I'd go back here if I had some time. The place looks spacious and the staff are very accommodating.
I think this is the best pares that I've eaten so far. For years, the original Pares along Retiro St. was the best pares house for me. I'm not sure if this Pares Retiro is somehow connected to the original Pares sa Retiro.
Price may be a little bit higher than those other pares houses but I don't mind. They serve one of the best pares and mami plus the place is cleaner than your average paresans or carinderias. One reason why Pares Retiro is better than the original Pares sa Retiro St. is their chili garlic sauce. A delicious pares must always be accompanied by a great chili garlic!
This is now my number one go-to place whenever I am craving for some pares.

It's a rainy night, we thought for a place that has enough parking spaces. I remembered Pares Retiro, since we passed by to it a week ago and Vice Ganda promoted this many times on Showtime. Luckily we had a parking space one block away from the place. The security guard is very accommodating and he lend us his umbrella.
The crews are overwhelming and gracefully approached us. The lady oriented us with their automated call service, where you can push the button when you have a follow up order and billing out, and I find it cool. Pares Retiro is famous for its Pares, so we ordered Pares with rice for only 99 pesos. We waited for only 10 minutes, it smells yummy and I was excited to taste it. The beef was tender, cooked well. The sauce was sweet (I'm not into sweet food) and I think it's better if it will be maintained hot. I love the garlic rice with lots of chili sauce. Yumyum!
Pares Retiro is good for stop over meals, they have more on their menu like bulalo, pancit and silog meals. Their crews are really nice, they talk to guests and ask if the service was good. Since it's Christmas season, they even performed a dance number for the guests. Thumbs up for their service!

Beef pares was tender and flavorful. Inexpensive and is value for money. Great Saging Con Hielo! The bulalo does not meet expectations in terms of presentation but tasted and looked decent enough. The pancit was also good but nothing extraordinary. Good place to go back to when craving for the good 'ol silog, pares and noodles. Staff is also attentive.
I've seen this restaurant through facebook. I was very curious about the taste of their Pares because many celebrities keep coming back here. Then, I decided to go for a try at their food to know why some celebrities really love their Pares. I ordered Chopsuey rice with Pares, while my friend ordered Beef Mami with Siopao. It costs a bit higher than the usual Pares house menus. But, the food was really worth the price. :) I love the Pares! The savory and juicy flavor of meat combined altogether in one order of bowl. I must say that the Pares was really good! Two thumbs up! ππ i will recommend this to anyone who's looking for the best Pares and to anyone who will passby Cubao. Yum yummm!!! π
We ordered their Baby Meals. But honestly, their pares had the right thickness level and tenderness though nothing can beat my Mama's homemade Pares hihi! Other than that, I suggest that they serve it with white hot rice instead of fried rice to best cater the flavor. :)
Love this place! It's near where I live plus it has a great atmosphere. The food's good and very affordable. Too bad it isn't a drinking spot but still good. π

I really love the siomai and the sisig! The place looks neat for a "paresan" store. Since I don't eat beef, I only tasted the sauce of the pares which my parents ordered and it taste good. Extra rice is not an option. Its a MUST! I really want to go back and try out their lugaw next time I visit. Good thing they have a branch in Cubao since its original store is located near tandang sora quezon city. I really recommend this if you have a craving for pares. Store is open 24/7! Perfect for those midnight foodtrip!
