We live on the same building and always eat there atleast once a week, their food is good, the price is reasonable and the crew are okay. The taste of their food is consistent and theur palabok is a must try! Highly recommended.
Their pancit malabon is such a steal! Even though it's pricier than other restos that offer pancit malabon, it is worth the price. Their other food items are not much to brag for because those are typical food items in a Filipino-themed resto. The place is spacious but I find the tables too small esp for the good-for-two tables.
Great place, great food.
My daughter and I usually eat here after going to QC Circle. Aside from their Pancit Malabon, I recommend their Tapsilog, Longsilog, Daingsilog, Salmon Belly in Miso, and Bangus Belly.
Their staff are nice and even friendly to my daughter who keep asking them a lot of questions.
The place is clean and charming. Their toilet is also clean, which is a big plus for me.
They've recently renovated and the place looks a lot better than when they had colorful monoblock chairs.
The palabok is always good, as is their lumpiang shanghai. I always order this for pick up on special occasions. They could improve their other dishes though. Their sinigang is okay but could level up with a little more cooking time for the pork. The service could also be a little more cheerful.
People love to eat at new restaurants and try different cuisine. There’s nothing wrong with that. But sometimes you have to acknowledge the need to come home and taste that distinctive Filipino dish. Unfortunately, not everyone has the time to prepare that marvelous home cooked meal. But there is a place that serves delicious Filipino food – Lola Idang’s Original Pancit Malabon atbp.
Been here several times already. Pancit malabon is always a favorite. But they need improvement for the palabok! The noodles is kinda indomitable. Other dishes like lumpiang ubod, liempo, shanghai, kare-kareng gulay and binagoongan were good too! More power, Lola Idang's. 😊
Service is very fast and food are so delightful yet affordable. I love the pichi-pichi by the way. That food is so soft and not so sweet and I love it because it has so many cheese 😍
As of Sept 2015: the place is under renovation but they're accepting pre-orders for pick up.
Nice to have them around the area for take outs or to bring along a kababayan for some good Filipino lutong-bahay dishes.
I've been familiar with the area for nearly 2 decades but I only learned about the place by accident when I was looking for pancit malabon for an event (Aug 2015)
One of the best pancit malabon. Good noodles, just the right amount and proportions of toppings, and fresh. The best I've tried is from Malolos and Valenzuela.
They also offer various pancit like bihon, canton, miki, etc. And other lutong bahay and fiesta dishes like fried chicken, lumpia, sinigang, lechon kawali, and a lot more good dishes. Fresh ala cart.
The place serves Filipino cuisine but specializes in Pancit Malabon. The Pancit is available in different bilao sizes. So opt for the bigger one if you have lots of friends or if you just wanna fill up your tummy with their delicious Pancit!
They offer different Filipino couisines. There are our favorite Nilaga, Lumpia, Tapa, etc. But my favorite here is their Longganisa meal. It's cheap but for its price, the taste and serving are great. You are most likely to ask for another cup of rice.
However, at times, they are slow in serving their food. That's because of the volume of people patronizing them. And mostly because they prepare thr food once the order is made to ensure that the food they serve is fresh and not leftovers.
Another issue is that, for me, they close very early (8PM).
Try the Nilaga and the Longganisa please! :)
Lola Idang's has always been a second home to many residents from Visayas Ave who flock to order their best-selling Pancit Malabon. This branch has been here for as long as I can remember. We like to order in advance via phone and we just pick up our orders since their place is small and always packed with customers. Their food are best enjoyed in the comfort of one's home for parties and other special occasions. Lola Idang's for me serves the tastiest Pancit Malabon! Saucy and a mouthful of yum and some say "putok batok" fest. They don't scrimp on their sauce and toppings unlike the dried ones you get from others. Reasonably priced too for such big bilao servings.
Yummy ng kare kare dito, wala nga lng mxado Laman pero msarap pdin order nlng kayo ng lechon kawali Para my Laman, un pancit ok lang ung lumpia msarap din, winner ang lumpia and kare kare
