Don't be swayed by the ratings.
I would consider Box o Rice as one of Maginhawa's OG restaurants and has withstood the test of time. I've seen several restaurants that closed over the years but box o rice still continues to cook your meals in their little humble stall.
Food is pretty straightforward: Simple and savory meals. What's good about it is that their food never changed: the kung pao pork before is still the kung pao pork today and the rest of the meals. New to box o rice? Get the veggie mongolian or beef yakiniku.
Trust me, your palate will be satisfied. :)
Fast food delivery and awesome meals! Their rice will make you so full without punching a hole on your pocket. (I couldn't finish one serving, I think it's 2 cups of rice for one bowl). Aligue rice is the best for me so far. Hoping for more variants to come.
I don't know why this place doesn't have higher ratings or good reviews because this is my favorite rice meal in Maginhawa. I eat here whenever food fails me at home, when I'm too tired and hungry from school, or when I want something filling for a very low price. I've been eating here ever since I was in elementary I think? And I'm almost graduating college. The taste still haven't change. :)
Great food but you should change the open hours info. It's misleading. I just called and they said it won't be open until 11:30. They only start preparing at 10.
