I used to have Moonleaf almost everyday. It's been awhile since I had it.
I was so surprised to see their new flavors... well... new to me. I had my mind set on my absolute favorite - Honey Milk Tea. BUT... I wanted to try so many others too.
We ended up with a Butter Scotch Milk Tea, Flat Tops Milk Tea, and, of course, Honey Milk Tea. The Butter Scotch was way too sweet. Even my sister who loves caramel and very sweet food, found the drink too sweet. The Flat Tops one was really good. The chocolate wasn't sweet but wasn't too bitter also.
The Honey Milk Tea was super sweet too, sweeter than usual. I waited for the ice to melt and it was awesome. There's just something about it that's very refreshing even if it's on the sweet side.
The place was nice and clean. I didn't appreciate though that the TV's volume was very loud. I requested for the volume to be turned down. They did so for a bit. Then they turned it back up again.
I love the design of this moonleaf branch. Even if it's just small, the place is so cozy and there are plugs everywhere. Love this branch. ☕️☕️☕️
Moonleaf Teashop is one of those milk tea brands that sprout out all over the metro during the milk tea craze. I've known Moonleaf since my college days in Miriam College and had been a fan ever since.
My favorite is their Wintermelon Milk Tea (Php75). It has this sweet flavor that's just right for the Filipino palate. Each time I order WMT, I also make sure to have add-ons of Pearl (Php10). I like the fact that Moonleaf also studied how to PERFECTLY cook their pearls and not just their teas. Their pearls are easy to chewy and cooked into perfection.
On the other hand, I also recommend trying their Hakka Milk Tea (Php75) as this taste like coffee-ish.
I just had my milk tea fix yesterday and I'm looking forward for my next Moonleaf visit! :)
I'm a big fan of milkteas and I always grab milketeas at Moonleaf. They taste great and they are not that pricey. Also, it is really near to my school so I can just grab one before I go to class. However, they're fllavors are not as flexible compared to other milktea shops. You could not choose your sweetness level but all in all, it's a great place to hang with your friends.
I've been to this place when it first opened and I keep on coming back for three reasons. One: Value for your money. Their milk teas have the taste (even better than expensive copies) and quality and yet they are affordable for students around the area. Two: The place isn't so crowded so the service is fast and reliable. Three: I used to hangout here with my closest friends back in college. The place brings good memories that are good to combine with great-tasting tea.
Order the Wintermelon Milk Tea if you prefer your tea sweet. If you're the flowery type like me, order the Jasmine Green Tea. If you want to beat the heat, try their Honey Green Tea to refresh yourself. You'll be surprised about how tea can be very versatile and flavorful!
