Met up with some friends here to catch up, it's not much and a little bit tucked away. We ordered their nachos and katsu which was not bad. Overall, the food is okay. Also, there's a huge selection of games to choose from.

I brought my niece and nephew here to play some board games. I like that they don't charge you to play as long as you order. The kids loved their fries which was perfectly cooked. I like their nachos - lots of cheese and other toppings.

Ludo is known for being a board game cafe. They have a ton of games and the staff are more than willing to help you understand the rules and the mechanics of the board game. The food is ok, and the place is a little bit small so the tables and chairs are a bit close to each other. The place can get a bit noisy when the cafe is full.

Good board game cafe resto where you can enjoy playing any game from their large collection, with friends. Food is ok as well, better than other board game cafes I’ve tried before. As for the affordability of the resto, food is somewhat priced higher than the actual value of it.

4/5. Mainly because of the price, but the food we tried were great. Their carbonara is one of the best ones I've tried! Ever! A must-try if you get there. Very accomodating and nice staff, will definitely go there again.

Where else can you find a place where there's a ton of board games than Ludo. Enjoy dining while playing board games. Takes you back to the past when this was a way of entertainment. Roll the dice 😁

I love a good boardgame while I catch up with friends over dinner.

It was a rainy weekday when my friends and I decided to eat at Ludo. I've always wanted to try this branch out but had no one to go with.

I couldn't quite recall the names of the dishes we bought but I recall it being delicious and tasty. I especially liked the kani salad.

The staff was very comendable and accommodating plus they have games masters (if i recall correctly) that will explain and help you with the boardgames that you want to try.

Very fun experience!

Celebrated my 18th birthday here with my friends. They were very considerate when we got loud playing games. Hahaha nice ambiance too, the lighting is just great, and the comfort room is clean. They also give a prize for the winner int the game. Food? Superb. Love what we ordered. Wish to go back. There soon!

Located in the inner streets of Tomas Morato so you dont have much of a choice, you need to bring a car or ride a cab but it was a great place to hangout with friends. I ended up ordering 3 board games so our group can still play the games we enjoyed. Dont hesitate to try their cocktails. The combinations were very unusual but sometimes you need to live “dangerously”. Hahaha! But seriously, I liked the one where the gumball is like the olive in the martini drink but if you’re not into sweet drinks, stick with the beers.

I super love this place especially when I'm with friends because of their selection of board games! I like how the staff there can recommend you games to play and teach you how to play. There is a minimum consummable per person, so you have to buy some snacks before playing. We always order the nachos because it's good to share and fun to eat while playing. The potato chips with sour cream is pretty good too. I love their mason jar shakes too! They have strawberry cheesecake milkshake! Overall, Ludo is a good chill place to relax and have fun with your friends. They also sell their board games in case you want to keep on playing the games at home!

The foods? They are delicious and price-right. Instragam worthy too.

Although we find the Bel-Air branch better, Ludo Boardgame Bar and Cafe Tomas Morato will always be our first love.

Good food plus boardgame is such a good combination.

Our favorite is their gyoza. We don’t, however, like their drinks much.

The place can get too crowded during peak hours so better be early or reserve a table for you ahead.

The price of food are reasonable but be warned that playing while eating can get expensive.

Their boardgames selection’s superb.

A wide variety of boardgames in theis branch. This is smaller than the Makati branch so this is less noisy when full. Staff are always friendly and approachable! They recommend games well depending on the number of people and the kind of games we want to play. And of course they know how to explain the mehanics really well.

They let you play as much as you want. The food is worth it as they have really big servings. Flavor wise it was just okay. The Matcha green tea drink was wonderful tho. Based on experience not all board game restaurants have decent food selection. But I will definitely come back for another round at this place. :) Staff was also very accommodating and was proactively roaming around to clean up for us.

If you go here in the late afternoon, your friends and you might not get table because there are many people who have already reserved their respective tables. However, I highly recommend this place for you to stay, to have fun, and to eat until full. I like their food. But don't ask the waiter for recommended games. His games can be boring to you and to your friends if you are looking for games that exert competition. Well, it always depends on us on what games we wanna play.

Dined and played here with my officemates and we had so much fun!
The staff is accomodating and even suggests what game would fit us ('coz we're 11 that time I guess).
Tried their Nachos, Cheese Balls, and a rice meal that I can't remember since I didn't took a picture of it. All of it were good and we enjoyed it. Much of our time was spent playing and I can say that it was really a good time and thankful we had the chance to unwind like this. There's a lot more games to play and a whole lot more foods to eat 😬😬😬

Am not really a fan of board games and tbh, I thought of this cafe as "hype" but really, I enjoyed my time hanging out in this place!

Staff are very accommodating. They'll assist you with the categories of the game and will help you figure out the mechanics and instructions of the game in a very friendly and genuine manner!

The place is really nice and neat, tho the restroom is kind of uhm, have a small line and being shared by boys and girls.

Few parking lots! Take note of that.

Butterscotch beer and booziefying (I guess that's what they call it) drink are the best!

Very cool place especially if you and your friends love playing board games. It's just that don't be here during dinner time cause you might not spot a table. Or just be here a little early or very early so you can stay long enough to finish a lot of board games. But anyhow, not the best place to catch up with friends since it can be crowded, it's very noisy and really really distracting. Food was also okay, a bit pricey but okay.

What I enjoyed here in Ludo is they had a large amount of board games in their stock. Knowledgeable game masters and even the waitress helped us out in some of the games. If you're just looking to play with minimum order, you could order the cheapest one possible since they'll only require you to purchase any food item or drink item per person. Also, try to make a reservation before you go here! It was almost full when we got here

Whenever you want to play a game there are game masters ready to guide you through out your first game. They are very attentive and they always explain the game very clearly.

I always order Tonkatsu, not a big fan of their sauce so I always request for a mayo instead of their sauce. Their Specialty drinks are a bit unique so choose wisely!! Hehehe.

LAST VISIT: Jan. 20, 2017

Ludo is one of the well-known board game restaurants in the Metro mainly because of the affordable high quality food and wide array of games to choose from. What sets Ludo apart from other board game cafes is its excellent set of game experts (even the waitresses can teach you!) who can easily make you excited to play because of their infectious passion.

The inside is well-decorated as seen in their well-organized shelves which display their massive collection of games. Paintings (which we assume are based on the board game Dix-it) line up their walls. The food was definitely satisfying for its price. Sulit! We ordered the Curry Rice bowl, Katusdon, and Pork Ribs Rice Bowl. The Curry was a bit dry and bland, but it turned out you could ask for additional sauce for free! The Japanese Iced Tea tastes just right (no need to dilute it with water!). We also ordered some chips which were served with sour cream dip to eat while playing. Overall, the stay was enjoyable and worth remembering. We definitely recommend this for you and your friends especially if you want a nice TGIF experience. Be sure to reserve in advanced if you plan to go on the weekend - the place is always packed!

Ludo-licious!

Look for Cha! She has the most patience among all the staff. The girl with the glasses is a real snob and sarcastic. We asked for assistance since we don't know the mechanics of the game we picked. She answered us sarcastically saying it's a kid's game but Cha helped us anyway. We kinda lost the vibe for a minute but Cha was kind enough to explain everything to us. :) But over all the experience was fun. I recommend playing OOGA BOOGA 😂

We went here around dinner for a small get together. What caught our attention was that there were board games and we'd like to stay in a certain place for a while. The order took long enough but their okonomiyaki was good! It was my first time to try it and I wouldn't mind ordering it again, but it would be good for 2-3 persons as it's quite big. The available games are not the usual ones, what they have in store are the ones that are not that known. Service is of outstanding quality. They happily taught us how to play the game.

It's my first time going to a cafe full of board games, card games you name it, and it's very enjoyable whether you're with your friends or your family. The place is jampacked when we went, so we were listed on the waiting list and we're in #10, we waited for like 30-40 mins and we were actually going somewhere else when Ludo called saying that there is already an available table so we went back. The amount of games that they have is really overwhelming. So we ordered Katsudon, Teridon, Tonkatsu, buffalo wings, and nachos. Their food was alright, it's not bad, it's just that it's ordinary, nothing too special but it was filling and the price point wasn't so bad. One problem that we had was the AC, they should really pump up the AC because they should know that their place would be jampacked so eventually even with AC, the place will get hot. But I would definitely go back to try the other food on their menu and play more games. And one thing that I really appreciate is that the staff are there to help you understand how the game works, it's really impressive.

Great place for family. We had the nachos, fries and tons of drinks.

The boardgames selection are good. You wouldnt find most of them in local stores. The game masters are there to help you find best games for your group. They will even spend time to explain the game mechanics. The waiters are also knowlegeable and are also helpful in finding the best game for you.

Table charge is 1 special drink per person. If you ordered not on the special drink section, 1 drink is only equivalent to 0.5 table charge. There were 9 of us and not all of us have sweet tooth to order their special drink. Therefore we had to order two of each drink! Whoah!

A little bit pricey. And i suggest you come in early and book a table. We came in at 8pm on a friday night, but was able to sit and play at 10pm. They didnt have a waiting area too. Good thing there are nearby restaurants where we had our dinner.

Review based on visit a long time ago (January 2015, to be exact!), when Ludo was the sole boardgame café in the city.

They have a massive collection of games, and it's great that their staff are able to suggest games for you and your friends, as well as teach you how to play them (otherwise, you will get overwhelmed). There were 9 of us, but whilst waiting for everyone to arrive, we played a couple of games. All in all, we played 5 games and our favourite was Dixit.

I love their beer selection. They have Blue Moon!!!!

I wish they have more food option for people like me who don't eat meat. Well, it's been a long time since I visited here so hopefully they've added dishes to cater to non-carnivores.

Tip: make reservations!

My friends and I tried Ludo Boardgame Bar & Cafe just to have a comparison with other restaurants with the same theme.

As expected, the place was crowded (noisy) even on a rainy, Sunday afternoon.  Good thing we had reservations.

There were a lot of boardgames there unfortunately, the ones we like to play were either unavailable or "FOR DISPLAY ONLY"

I ordered Bacon Cheese Balls while we play.  It was alright.  We had fun playing three different games in our entire stay there.

I recommend this place for people who are still into boardgames like us but if you're like 4 or less, I think you better fine a different boardgame cafe because the noise, the crowd, it's just too much.  Better yet, just play boardgames at home and buy pica-pica.

Went there with my friends on a Friday night and we were lucky to get a table immediately. The staff are very nice and accomodating. They'll drop by our table from time to time to check if there's anything we need or need help in. They had a lot of great game suggestions for us that we really enjoyed. Food is also good. I thought I had to settle with the fact that most board game cafes focus on interior design and games and offer "so-so" food. I had the chicken yakiniku which I practically inhaled within 5 mins. (It was 10pm when we had dinner!) My friends also enjoyed their rice bowl orders. We were going to try their cocktails but we opted for desserts instead which were also delicious. Will definitely be back because of the food, staff and GAMES!

If you're looking for a relaxing place to go to and have some fun with friends, this would be the place to go. Ludo sports an offering of a variety of Japanese dishes along with a much needed set of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for relaxing nights such as what you're looking for.

I was hunting for a place to go that doesn't close early like 10 or 11pm and stumbled upon Ludo. One of their unique offerings is that they let customers play board games, and they have a daunting offering of board games that line the wall. So to get straight to the reviewing, their food, I ordered a curry dish along with their bacon balls. The bacon balls were really delicious but the curry meal proper was not bad but not something spectacular. The highlight is their board games. Their staff is really warm and friendly and would go out of their way to teach you the board games. I would definitely return with my friends, in fact, I'd want to come here more often, just maybe not on too empty of a stomach.

Been here last week and it's just so amazing! We had so much fun! Great bonding for a great friendship! Aside from having snacks we're also learning strategies and tricks from playing games.

They have a mini library for board games. Choose whatever you want to play. Even if you don't know the game, the staffs of Ludo are of great help as they will teach you how to play them.

Just a piece of advice, practice patience as guests can play as long as they want. Better call for reservation.

I wanna go back!!! I've been here only once, it's just me and my bf so the games offered to us were the ones that are for 2 players. Can't remember the names though, but it was fun! Food is also great! Tried the Japanese carbonara and chips and sour cream dip (which is basically half a bag of Lay's). You need to order food so you can play. The best thing is, it's like your food never runs out because of the fun you're having with the games. Di mabilis maubos! Hehe. This is temporarily closed, though. But I think the best time to go here is in the afternoon. We went here on a Sunday afternoon. Only one table is occupied, so we easily have seats, and we didn't even have a reservation. Accdg to the guard, best time to go here is during weekdays, preferrably in the afternoon. Please, please, please expand this place!!!

Last Saturday, my friends and I decided to spend and enjoy the night at this place. I really appreciated their closing time of 2am because it added more time for us to bond although it was already late.

Seeing the place from outside, we thought it was full and got a little sad because we really wanted to go inside. So we asked one of the waitresses if there was a table still available. Good thing there was a table reserved for a group of people who did not arrive so we were asked to use it instead.

Afterwards, we looked at the menu then I chose Toridon while my friends chose Chicken Yakinuku, Curry Katsu, Tori Katsu, Katsudon, and Japanese Carbonara. The chicken cutlet was tender but tasted average. So I find it a little bit pricey. I also got to taste my friends' orders, and what stood out was the Chicken Yakinuku. After a few hours, we ordered their nachos to have something to eat while playing. For me, there wasn't much ground beef and toppings placed that is why I also find it a bit expensive.

About the place, it was somehow small which made it hard for them to accommodate lots of customers. But it was really cold inside which is actually good. In terms of their service, I would commend the staffs for being patient in explaining the rules of the games as well as recommending different games for customers like us who doesn't know a lot of board games. We really had great time and would like to come back again soon!!

So far, I have only tasted their drinks. I went here with friends after eating dinner on another restaurant, so I only have room for drinks.
This place is divided into 3. One part is the "noisy" area, another for "low-noise", and there is one private room that you can rent. There was only a table in the low-noise area and we happily obliged to stay there because we wanted to hear ourselves as we talk. The noisy area was REALLY noisy, like a sports bar during a Pacquiao fight. However, there was still some noisy people in our area despite knowing that they should talk more gently. I suggest that the staff should brief them before they start their game, because this inconveniences other people.
Ludo also has a huge collection of boardgames that you can borrow, or buy. We wanted to play Cards Against Humanity, but they were all being rented. Instead, my friends bought one and we started playing. Most of the "game masters", or the staff are accommodating and warm. They even teach you how to play board games when you decide to try a new game.
Their themed cocktails are a must-try! I enjoyed mine. My other friends also enjoyed their drinks, so I can really recommend this place. :)

Growing up, I’ve only played a handful of board games – Millionaires, Monopoly, Game of Life, Scrabble, and Snakes and Ladders. So imagine my surprise when I visited Ludo BoardGame Bar and Café in Tomas Morato and saw their collection!

There were easily over a hundred titles (I later found out there are actually 500+), none of which were familiar to me or the people I was with. I knew there were more out there, I just didn’t think I’d ever see this many in one place! According to Jay Mata, one of the owners, board games are like music albums where new ones are released every month!

Kinds of food they offer: Salted Caramel Milkshake, Super Nacho Chips, Katsudon, Cheese Gyoza (ORDER THIS!!), alcoholic drinks like Mi-Go Brain Cylinder and 10th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver, and coffee

I don't like it maybe because it's kinda sour and the pork was not that tender. Good thing my husband finished it.

Chicken Wings w/ Blue Cheese Dip
Even without the dip it really tastes good! I guess it will be my favorite here :-)

Tripple Chocolate Chip Milkshake
So creamy and yummy! I love it!

Service - the best game masters and servers ive ever encountered so far. They're really attentive and interactive with customers, like they are old friends to us. Ang babait and ang cool nila. :)

Place is small and has bad acoustics. So much people having fun means there could be a lot of shouting. I can't even hear my own talking voice!

This resto has the most extensive boardgame catalogue :) the food is overpriced considering the serving but plus points for the wide selection of drinks.

The best board game cafe I've been to so far. Their dishes are tasty and they have a wide collection of imported beer and beverages. And their board game collection is so big that you won't run out of games to play. It gets full most of the time, so be sure to reserve a seat.

Take a break from technology and come dine & play at Ludo Boardgame Bar & Cafe! They have plenty of options for their boardgames. Don't worry if you don't know how to play some, in our case, most of them (Haha) because their staff are there willing to help and assist you with your questions. This is really a great place for big groups since boardgames are more fun to play with 4 or more people. Though there are still games made for 2. The interior is really nice with all their games displayed all over the place. Their food are great aside from their Iced Tea, since I'm not a fan of Japanese food, I think that was a Japanese kind of tea. Yes you read that right. Ludo serves Japanese cuisine. You must try the Choco Chip Brownie Ala Mode! The perfect combo of hot & cold. Intrigued? Go try them! Overall, Ludo is a must for everyone. Even kids will enjoy the place!

The place looks nerdy and cool. I like going places unexpectedly existing. I have read of the many reviews on Ludo and was surprised how really small like in the picture this place is. I suggest they expand the place a little and improve the design like put on carpet/curtains. The place has this nerdy/barkada atmosphere. The food is really delicious. Bring your friends for the boardgame experience and also bring some fast learning tactics/common sense. Also, if you're going here on a date, make sure your date is a nerd/not-easily-bored one because it will ruin the atmosphere for the other customers in case someone throws a fit 😂
The choices in games are good and I like how they suggest to customers who can't pick a game to play. They have boardgames you can play even if you're only 2 or even if you're a big group. I really like the pandemic game together with the katsu I ordered.
Will definitely come back. 😁

The experience was nice. I'm not a big fan of boardgames but you'll get the nerdy feeling of playing the games available inside the cafe. The place was cozy enough. The food was average but is cheap. The experience is sulit.

Finally accepted that I'm now part of the Titas of Manila status, I'm pleasantly surprised when my friend's daughter invited that we try out this boardgames place, Ludo. Since I live nearby this area, I've always passed by this area and have at some point cursed the limited parking spaces it has, thus the cause of traffic.... Now I know why it's traffic.... hahaha.

Restaurant with boardgames is not a new concept. In fact I've been to one 2 years back but my companions were uninterested with playing, so we settled for drinks and playful banter. I was disappointed that I don't get to show off my board game chops. Hahaha.

So on to this place's review. First ambiance; I sort of hate the fact that the acoustics is terrible... lots of screaming and cheers all over the place. Since the place is small, I think the owners didn't want to sacrifice much of the limited space for some gypsum boarding that could potentially reduce the noise... then again, what's the point in having a quiet boardgame cafe when it's the excitement that brings in the crowd? ;)

Speaking of crowd, if you're planning to go there, I cannot express enough the absolute need to reserve. When we got there at 630 pm it was already full and we were on the waiting list. It's a good thing someone cancelled her table and gave it to us. (God bless you, Mia!) Sad to say they don't have a decent waiting area so please plan your visit and make it a point to reserve a table waaayyy ahead. Good thing there was a Burger Machine nearby where my son got to eat some appetizers (classic 80s style).

Food-wise, their selection is really made for sharing, buffalo wings, nachos, fries, okonomiyaki. One by one, okonomiyaki is too salty but reasonably priced. Sloppy fries & nachos are good, serving is a bit small for 5 though and for the price. The thing that upset me the most was the buffalo wings... too few and expensive!!! Specialty drinks were all a teenager's dream come true. Milkshakes and floats galore. :) price and servings for drinks are reasonable.

So why only 4? For the non existent waiting seats and the complete stranger who helped us out (instead of staff). Since out party of 5 was of varied ages: 2 teenage boys, 1 20something, 1 30something & a newly 5 decader, finding a game that suited our diverse age group was a challenge. It's disappointing that none of the staff helped us... instead a friendly frequent goer helped us and introduced us to a great game. We also have to keep on asking for small plates for our group meals.... since this place specialised in groups, shouldn't it be automatic by now...?

Overall our experience was a memorable one that we will all cherish. New friendships were formed, families bonded and we learned a new game to boot!

Board game selection is not that bad. Actually it's huge. Food was so-so. Gyosa is somehow good. The chips though is weirdly too much for the price.

Boardgames plus good comfy food plus best friends make up a quality bonding time that one would tend to crave for once tried.

This concept is one brainchild that I'm glad came into existence. The food was simple but was quite a delight. Their milkshakes were awesome too.

Will definitely go back for the one-of-a-kind experience this place can offer!

Suggested games:
Chinatown
Cards against Humanity
And that boardgame with cute pandas and bambooshoots:)

Their overnight Halloween parties are the best in the metro. And it is becoming a tradition of sorts for me and my friends. My personal favorites off their menu are the honey cured pork spare ribs (with secret sauce) and the katsudon. Huge assortment of board games. Very attentive waitstaff, and friendly game gurus.

I wanted to try something different, something that could make us forget our gadgets, talk more socially with my loved ones and friends. I was really happy to see such places like this exist. It reminds me of my childhood games I grew up with. Back when conversations was real and full of life with no gadgets involved. I realized there’s still a lot of games I haven’t played yet. Looking forward to visit this place more often. I admire their milkshakes and the cheese gyoza was so yummy! :) #vanillamilkshake #cheesegyoza
