#popnapop 👍👍👍we'll definitely be back for another set of foods! 🥰🥰🥰 you eat more than what you paid for, very attentive crew, nice place to enjoy the food.
Enjoyed their lumpiang shanghai. Meaty and tasty. Yum! Good variety of viands, they had sinigang na hipon, sea food rice, kuhol - huge kuhol 😁 , pansit bihon (bit salty to my taste), fried chicken though i didnt try this, baked tahong, tortang talong, bangus steak - this is tasty too, also enjoyed this, buttered shrimp - another yum! They also had grilled fish and sisig which I also did not try. Halo halo and turon are menu for desserts. Place is homey and cool. Had senti songs playing in the background which most of us would likely to sing a long.. they also have a smoking area. Bit of a challenge in parking space though as it is limited and near side visayas ave. Overall - just sakto for the price. Will go back if we crave again for shrimp and lumpia. 😊
Sangkalan caters Filipino dining. The location is very accessible. The interior, for me is just okay. Nothing special, it’s not well lit. I find it a bit dark inside. We’re the only customer during the time we went. The ambience was good, quiet, however there is a television, which is a good thing for me. The food was exceptional. For me it’s a wow! Nachos was served as the appetizer, really flavorful. And the rice! It’s like your eating a rice with a viand, 2 in 1. You must try their Tortang Talong! The price is very worth it. The service was also good, they are very accommodating.
The place was nice. It was spacious and clean. We dined at their function room. Service was good. They staff are attentive. They served Filipino food. Prices are reasonable. They also have performers at the main dining area. Great for get togethers

Craving seafood? Sangkalan is a good place to have some in the area. They have a wide selection of fresh fish, squid, shrimp, and shellfish dishes to choose from.
A few stand out dishes are the pritong hito (fried catfish) and grilled squid. Perfectely seasoned and cooked.
They also offer family-style dishes that include different kinds of seafood (like the one in the posted photo).
Overall, food is "okay". Not the best, but definitely good enough for the price you pay.
After my interview stint at Net 25, the next thing I did was to find a place to eat. Visayas Aveneue has a stretch of mostly Filipino restaurants. Sangkalan is one of the most common destination.
The place has al fresco, function room and a main dining area with a stage for performances. I was the first customer that day.
I had their best selling Sizzling Squid. It was huge and priced at Php 395. Squid is crucial with timing. Over cook it, gets tough or rubbery. This one got a bit overdone. Maybe from the extra sizzling. There was a lack of taste if not for the sauce that came with it.
The Gising Gising did its part with spicy kicking in. The presence of coconut was also strong. This is a must order for fans of this Bicolano dish.
Sangkalan also has boodle fight!
