I had a grueling, mind-numbing grad school class yesterday and all I wanted after was a pick-me-up, so I went straight to my favorite crepe cafe (I only found out yesterday that they have a branch in Maginhawa) and was intrigued by the ice cream shop beside it, so after going to Crepeman, I went straight to Papa Diddi's.

I ordered 2 scoops (tres leches and tsokolate de cagayan) with a serving of peanut butter cookie and everything was good! 😍 Staff is friendly and nice. The store was kind of quaint but cozy. Parking can be a bit of a hassle but I was lucky enough to park just right outside their store.

Oh! They're also in Booky so better use it for great deals. 😁

Whoever is the mastermind of creating Papa Diddi's, thank yooouuu! Will definitely come back as often as I could to try all the other flavors. 😄

Whoever papa diddi is, I would like to thank him a thousand times over! I love papa diddi's ice cream flavors. They're all truly handcrafted as there are no other places that sell the flavors they have. My personal favorite is tres leches; I would recommend anyone to try it. You can also purchase a pint if you would like to take one or two (or all) of the flavors home. I visit this place probably once every month and the flavor has not changed. 6/5 would recommend ❤️

This is one of my go-to ice cream shops! I particularly love their tres leches and oatmeal flavors. Although very creamy, they’re not too sweet for you to stop enjoying them. I also love their spicy chocolate flavor.

EDIT: If you’re a cheese lover, their Cheese Closed is a must try! It’s pack with cheese bits that will definitely satisfy your cravings. If you want a milld creamy cheese flavor, go for their Queso Blanco.

Rain or shine, we can’t say no to ice cream. And here in the Philippines, July is one of the months with very unpredictable weather. In line with this, July is also considered as National Ice Cream Month as declared by former President Ronald Reagan in 1984. So this coming Monday, July 15, 2019, Papa Diddi’s will celebrate the official National Ice Cream Day with their Scoop All You Can promo.

National Ice Cream Day is coming right up and there's no better way to celebrate this yummy day than to indulge in several scoops of ice cream. And Papa Diddi's is bound to make you look forward to Monday with its mouthwatering Scoop All You Can this July 15!. Hello, Papa Diddi's. Papa Diddi's started with small store along the foodie district Maginhawa focused on creating unique handcrafted ice cream flavors. Such gave this ice cream joint an edge in the ever competitive food scene and eventually gained a strong following and patrons who would visit this shop despite having other more convenient options. Fast forward to 2019, it grew to have two other branches-- one in Libis and another in Poblacion.

The ice cream flavors here are very unique. I tried Butterfly Blue Tea, Roselle's Embrace (Hibiscus Tea with Cheese), and Davao meets Bicol, and they're delightfully rich in taste. If you're fond of frozen desserts which are not too sweet but reasonably satisfying and unexpectedly delicious, this ice cream parlor is a must visit.

Papa Diddi’s is, in my opinion, the true Filipino’s ice cream. They use carabao’s milk for all their offerings, and they use products from all around the country. I. Am. In. Love.

I got to try Tres Leches, Malagos Choco Caramello, and Double Jeopardy.

Double Jeopardy was a chocolate and coffee mix. It tasted like mocha flavored ice cream, and you know the ice cream really is handcrafted because of the ice shards you feel in the dessert.

Malagos Choco Caramello was just wow! The dark chocolate they used for this was Malagos chocolate (which is an award-winning chocolate). The boldness of the dark chocolate subtly envelopes all your tastebuds, and you’re just transported to heaven!

Tres Leches was the best among all three. The creaminess and fullness of flavor makes you feel like you‘re indulging in premium ice cream!

On top of all of this, the staff were so friendly & accommodating! They answered all our queries and seemed to really be enjoying their jobs hehe. I can’t wait to have more of this in the near future!

Purple Love - you can tell its handmade from the color and texture, theres bits of ube, not too sweet as well, nice refreshing flavor
Mango Pili - i cant really taste the pili much, but you can taste the mango flavor, not too sweet as well this was just ok, no mango bits or pili, just smooth ice cream texture

I was about to give it a 5-star rating but I remembered something the staff did that really bothered me.

The ice cream itself is top-notch and absolutely worth every penny and calorie. I'd definitely return for that. I loved the Tres Leches and Double Jeopardy. They pair well together too.

The problem is the staff offering the free-taste kept touching the unused wooden spoons! He held a bunch in his hand then used his thumb on each spoon to drop them back into the container. No, he wasn't wearing gloves. Yes, he used the same spoons to scoop out the sample. Yes, he also handled money.

So, yeah, that was very disappointing and unsanitary.

Ordered Churros with Ice Cream. Had tres leches flavor for the ice cream. The ice cream flavor we picked fitted the churros and every bite was magic. The coldness of the ice cream integrates well with the heat you get from the churros therefore making an exceptional taste... and it was just so crazy. Idk what happened but in every bite, I would close my eyes and smile as if I've reached the heavens. Went there on a weekday and the place was not crowded. Welp, all I can say is that it became my haven already, I wanna come back!!! Best ice cream and churros I've ever had.

We ordered 3scoops worth 145.00. Not bad for the price.
We tried the roasted forbidden rice, roasted coconut, and tres leches. I really enjoyed the tres leches and roasted coconut. I did like the roasted forbidden rice, but not totally enjoyed of the texture of the rice in it. So my husband, finished the entire roasted forbidden rice.
Keep it up Papa Diddi’s!

Second Review: October 2018 - 5/5

After having our pre-dinner game at Snack Shack, Josh wanted to have desserts at Papa Diddi's already... And of course, I agreed (even if I wanted to have more savory food). Papa Diddi's is another one of our favorites, and is always my top of my ice cream parlor when in Maginhawa. 🍨🍦Stop # 2, here we go!

I was surprised that they opened up another shop near its original branch, with the two branches now sandwiching Crepeman. It still has the same address though, so its more of a branch extension than a new branch. 😁 According to the staff, the shop we went to (the new one, right by the corner of the street) offers more flavors than the original branch. You can probably check between the two branches which one offers your favorites, though. 😉

Josh and I always get their Three Scoops (Php 145) for sharing. This time, we had the following flavors: Matcha Tea, Chocolate Lovin', and Blue Butterfly Tea. It's our first time to try these flavors! The Matcha Tea had a mild matcha taste, and matcha lovers might find it too creamy (more of a white chocolatey matcha). However, Josh enjoyed it, as it didn't taste too earthy. Contrary to what we thought, the Chocolate Lovin' was surprisingly not too sweet, as it is made from tablea. It had a slight bitter aftertaste, which is okay for us. On the other hand, the Blue Butterfly Tea was something new for us! The taste of this flavor is quite hard to explain... It had an earthy taste, and was quite "fragrant". It was actually quite good, especially when paired with the other two flavors we got!

Of course, we recommended the Roasted Forbidden Rice (ULTIMATE FAVE!!!) to the others, especially since it is a unique, must-try flavor when in Papa Diddi's. 😍 If you haven't visited this place yet, please visit them ASAP! Their ice creams are too good to miss out on! ❤️

First Review: August 2018 - 5/5

When in Maginhawa area, Papa Diddi's is forever my top-of-mind choice for desserts! 💖 I mean, where else can you get these all-natural, handcrafted Filipino ice cream flavors? 👌Their flavors are quite unique too!

A 3-scoop cup costs Php 145, great value for money, if you ask me. This can already be shared by two people (Josh and I always share this one!). Today, we got the following flavors: 1. Roasted Forbidden Rice (our all-time favorite), which has bits of black rice for added texture and a roasted rice flavor that's creamy and not too sweet. 2. Platanos Con Leche, a banana and milk flavored ice cream that's simple yet surprisingly comforting, with a texture similar to mashed frozen bananas. 3. Galletas y Crema, PD's version of cookies and creme ice cream with a twist, as they mixed in tablea with this, making it more chocolatey without the added extreme sweetness. Their ice cream are all so creamy, natural, and never extremely sweet, I fall deeper in love with it each time I try it. 😋 In case you want to veer away from the usual, you may opt to try their ice cream in a bun, ice cream sandwiched between two homemade cookies, or ice cream and churros! All these are priced affordably at Php 145, too! 💖

The service here is awesome too, as their staff patiently explain what's in each flavor whenever you ask, and they are generous in giving out free taste of their unique flavors, too!

How about you, what's your favorite flavor at Papa Diddi's? 🍨

I am an avid fan of ice cream, and Papa Diddi’s does not disappoint 😊 It’s homemade and there’s always a variety of interesting and delicious flavors to choose from. They can serve it per scoop in a cup/cone, or you can also have it served with churros or chocolate chip cookies. We’ve been visiting for years since we moved near the area, and we were more than delighted to find out they now have a bigger space that’s right beside their old space. The ambiance is just as nice and I particularly like how they used old books as decor, and there are now more chairs and tables for them to be able to accommodate more guests 💕 I’m not really keen on the flavor names so I won’t be able to recommend any (sorry!!) but the staff are more than willing to have you try the flavors before you order them.

They have so many flavors! Although, my personal favorites would have to be Tres Leches (three kinds of milk) and Mango Graham.

The tres leches is kinda sweet and super creamy that you’d need water after. But it just tastes so damn good!

The mango graham kinda taste like dirty ice cream flavored mango, but a little bit more upscale and more mango-ey than sweet.

The servers are very generous in terms of free taste. They’re also nice, like they engage you to chat or something.

I keep coming back here lately.

The shop is kinda small though, so going there during off peak hours is highly suggested. We went there around 12 noon and we got the shop for ourselves. The staff are nice and very accommodating. You can also do some taste test on their ice cream before buying so you're sure to not have any regrets on the flavor that you will choose to buy.

Flavors that I can recommend are: Tres Leches and Roasted Forbidden Rice.

I came here expecting awesome burgers and milkshakes! The burger was...not awesome...but the milkshake was good (only a tad too sweet)! The champorado with bagnet was pretty okay as well. The place is kinda small but hey they have now an annex which is more spacious and has more chairs and tables just a few meters away so dont worry haha. And take note, both of the annex and main have restrooms in it hidden in a pretty and deceiving wallpaper.

Kuya let us taste first all the flavors to help us decide what to order. We tried a super small serving each of all the flavors: Mango Pili, Davao Meets Bicol, and the best of it all, Tres Leches. All of it were soo good that I got confused but Tres Leches stood out so we have finally decided to order it in Treat (2 scoops) and brought our cups to the annex where we stayed to eat. The annex which provides more space for customers also offers coffee, pastries and other sweets.

Price:
Only 105 pesos for 2scoops of very creamy, so nakakakilig and soo good ice cream is so freakin worth it. It has that unique flavor with perfect sweetness that brings comfort and happiness to anyone's taste buds. It's not too sweet to hurt your throats. It was one of the best ice creams Ive ever tasted.

Service:
Kuya and Ates' so naturally friendly and they happily served us. I didnt know what they're talking about but it added good vibes to the place. We were the only customers at that time so they offered us churros, pasta but we declined because we're pretty full and very satisfied with what we ate. Ates and kuya, please dont change. You dont know how much good vibes you're spreading. 😊

I shared many of their flavors with my friends, just like family without much hesitation. Some of the ones we had include best selling and spiced up Davao meets Bicol, my fave; fruity and light Dragon Fruit; creamy with a bit of salty touch Cheese, layers of sweet Tres Leches and spiced up Ginger Mango.

One can also add up toppings like a waffle cone, marshmallows, nips and even topping it with any of their home made cookies.

Its handcrafted Ice cream with natural/native ingredients. The flavors are also seasonal so when I came back because I crave for tsokolate de cagayan It's not available bacause there's no available cocoa as of the moment. Sad.

Pili Leni - Pilinuts with mangoes.

Tsokolate de Cagayan - the chocolate came from cagayan.

Loved this place!!! It was our first time here last night, fell in love with their ice cream immediately!! They only have one staff here but he's very friendly. He offered us free taste and recommended their best sellers.

Ordered tres leches (best seller among the best sellers 😉) Must try!!! My sister ordered Close Cheese, and A ordered Tres leches, close cheese and another flavor with Banana and milk (forgot the name sorry)
You can order a scoop (P69), 2 scoops (P99), and 3 scoops (P125)

Definitely a must try ice cream shop!!

I like their tres leches and the forbidden rice. I recommend that you get the two scoops of ice cream as it is cheaper than getting two separate scoops. You can taste all ice creams for free. Best ice cream place to go for when you failed an exam or you just want to literally chill out.

Awesome and unique ice cream flavors! They make their ice cream in small batches, so you don't have to worry about the freshness and quality of what you're about to enjoy. I highly recommend trying the Tres Leches and Minty Lemongrass ice cream flavors. Delicious! Really good value for money too.

Service was really good! The staff knew that it was our first time, so they did their best to introduce all the available flavors during that tome and didn't even hesitate to let us try each of them.

The place was small and its indoor seating was limited as it could only hold about 10 people or less (about three tables). It could be quite crowded especially if a large group comes in and you're eating inside the place. You could sit outside although it's quite humid.

Looking forward to my next visit at Papa Diddi's!

Papa Didi's is probably one of the best ice cream experience I've ever had. Papa Didi's is not your usual ice cream as they use ingredients from farms all over the PH. It won't look much outside but once you try their ice cream you would probably come back for more.

Personally, my favorite is the Forbidden Rice flavor. It's creamy and it has this black rice bits that is so good to chew on. Other good flavors for me are their chocolate base and cheese base products.

Great tasting ice cream! Their tres leches is really good. The melon ice cream tasted pretty good, too. :)

The place is small though. And it's confusing with the microcreamery on the same street. This one has the white signboard. Not sure yet what the difference is.

Third stop to our Maginhawa food crawl was at Papa Didi's Ice Cream Company. It's a small ice cream parlor just a couple of steps away from Nook Cafe. The photo shows their tres leches ice cream with chocolate chips cookies and drizzled with caramel & chocolate syrups.

The ice cream was just okay IMO. Lacks a punch of rich flavor to get a wow factor. I would have preferred soft/moist cookies to sandwich the ice cream just like at Phat Boy. It was good but I don't think I'll be visiting them again anytime soon.

L, R and I headed here to cap off our post-finals celebratory dinner.

The place is cosy without being cramped. When we came in, there was only one other customer so we felt a bit freer to go wander around taking photos and discussing the decor--no one else to disturb. Our immediate reaction was pretty much "OH GOD THERE IS NO ESCAPE" and gales of laughter when we saw the assortment of law books used as part of their layout. The awesome ceiling, with books hanging from rope, deserves a special mention.

We came at a great time since their Christmas flavors were available! I was intrigued by the When Red Turns Yellow, a queso de bola flavor, but ended up selecting their White Christmas which had butterscotch and little chips.

What we ordered, for sharing:
L's pick: Churros with a scoop of Double Chocolate (145)
Double scoop (95) of
R's pick: Roasted Forbidden Rice and
My pick: White Christmas.

We liked the churros which were hot as a fantastic contrast to the coldness of the ice cream, and came drizzled with caramel and chocolate sauce. Best to eat them quickly since they can get soggy as the ice cream melts.

The double chocolate was a bit of a miss. The taste reminded us of tablea, but it was somewhat weaker than a strong cup of our childhood pure tsokolate. I noted that the texture was a little off and R said it was "grainy". Still, it was a decent pair with the churros. We had a discussion as to what flavor would go well with churros if not the double chocolate and came up nothing based on tonight's available flavors. Though I think, based solely on flavor descriptions, their Davao Meets Bicol (dark chocolate and sili) or Dulce Gato would be great alternatives.

The Roasted Forbidden Rice was our unanimous favorite. Light and with subtly savory undertones, it was a great way to refresh the palette after dinner and the churros. The White Christmas was also divine, sweet and creamy without being cloying, and the little bits in it gave it some texture.

And I have to note that even their cone is good, aside from making the ice cream more photograph-worthy. L originally told me and R that we could have the cone, until I uttered the words "You realize there's chocolate in the cone, right?" We broke it into pieces and scattered them as toppings on our ice cream for easier eating.

We came away really satisfied. I'm already dreaming about what to order next time we go. Would love to try their other seasonal flavors, and the Tres Leches I've heard so much about.

Me and my fiance ordered the corn with strawberries and the cottage cheese (if i got that flavor correct) ice cream. For 95 pesos we enjoyed two scoops already. As for the taste - it was not too sweet, we can taste clearly the flavors. The store looks cute because it follows a country feel. It just feels abit under decorated. Will try the other flavors and will see if it's also good.

Finally got to visit Maginhawa! Since we saw this dessert shop on the way to where we had lunch, I suggested that we might as well have our desserts here. The shop is small. I guess it's also because people usually just buy the dessert and leave. Only a few people can fit inside and some can opt to sit outside.

I guess this will always be our go-to place when we have our cravings for ice cream. We're adventurous when it comes to food and will try anything and everything. And when we first visited Papa Diddi's, I knew that this will be "Our Favorite Place".
Despite my lactose intolerance, I'm always up for anything dairy. And it's all worth it. :)

We first visited Papa Diddi's a couple of weeks ago. After eating a lot of chicken wings, we decided to cool down and have some ice cream. And I'm always excited when it comes to sweets. 😁

It was a small place, but it was homey. And although the ice cream selections for the day were limited, it will definitely not overwhelm you. And you know that it's artisanal ice cream when you taste the consistency of it, something that commercial ice cream lack of. 😁

I ordered the Roasted Forbidden Rice and Dulce Gato ice cream, while my SO ordered the Mango Ginger ice cream.
The Mango Ginger ice cream, in my opinion, is the perfect palate cleanser. The taste of the ginger is there, but it's not overpowering the Mango base. The Roasted Forbidden Rice, is another story. It's nostalgia in a cup! Every spoonful is like eating Ginataang munggo. It has that taste, but the roasted flavor goes well with the milkyness of the ice cream. No wonder it's their best-seller. 😁

Overall, our experience here's exceptional. Great ice cream, friendly people, pretty chill. That's why we keep on coming back here. 😍😍

During our little Maginhawa resto hopping, we decided to have our dessert on Papa Diddi's – a small creamery place which creates unique, delicious, and house-made ice cream!

I remebered we had 4 very unique ice cream flavors of which it only cost us less than Php 200. So sulit! All ice cream were delicious enough and unique on it's own but what stood out the most was this Spicy Chocolate ice cream. At first, it looked like your ordinary choco ice cream but then after a spoonful, the spiciness came through! Nothing overwhelming about the spice because it's nothing we can't handle. It's just that it really was exciting to feel that spice coming through every after spoons of this ice cream. Really, the creativity was interesting!

Papa Didi's is the first joint we checked out when we reached Maginhawa.  We wanted to try Iscremist first but it seems that they moved to a different location.

Anyway,  back to Papa Didi's.  I've been hearing good stuff about 'em.  And yes,  the name sounds a lil funny.  Apart from the funny name,  they use locally sourced ingredients for their frozen concoctions.  That is a plus for me.

The lady manning the counter mentioned that Tres Leches is one of their bestsellers.  Suffice to say that i followed her advise and paired it with one scoop of Why Nut Turmeric.  I like mixing up odd flavour combinations.

The consistency is not as good as the other artisan local brands I've tried.  But it wouldn't be fair to compare, right?  Tres Leches is okay as it is not too sweet,  it lacks the wow factor on the first spoonful.  I liked Why Nut Turmeric on the other hand, good vanilla base, subtle turmeric flavor.  I am not sure if they added some sweetened ginger bits and some butterscoth but this adds the chewy element.  This flavour is not for everyone.  If you are eclectic like me,  this is worth a try.

The joint is small.  Not a euphemism,  is tiny.  The inside can prolly accommodate,  three people and the outside has 4 tables.  Place is not condusive to hanging out,  it is best to eat your ice cream while stretching your legs along the busy streets of Maginhawa.

Tiny but quaint. Serves unique and interesting ice cream flavors. Definitely worth a second visit. I tried:

Basta saba- taste was okay, not too sweet, with saba bits that gave it texture.

Double Chocolate- delightful tablea flavor, a must-try if you want a break from the usual chocolate ice cream.

Davao Meets Bicol- a memorable blend of dark chocolate and sili, it has the same tablea flavor that melts in your mouth. You'll feel the kick from the sili only when you swallow. I don't like spicy food but I'm a fan of this one.

Also, it's cool that "Pappa Diddi" was a lawyer to farmers, who gave him their produce in exchange for his legal services. :)

Not too fond of ice cream but I like their Cheese Closed. There are generous bits of cheese in every spoonful. I would often buy a pint for later consumption or for when we have cravings for ice cream which usually happens late at night. I also like the forbidden rice but they're almost always out of it. Ordered the Roasted Forbidden Rice (the one a the bottom part) and Farm Cheese (with the cone on it).

For the sake of trying these all natural, freshly made goodness ice cream from a cow's milk, I am truly satisfied with what I had. It was the taste on my palette that words cannot put any expression. I'm so out of adjectives to describe or distinguish what's on these ice cream. But I believe that I've tasted coconut milk.. 😸

We went to their branch besides Crepe Man. They have a small space but looks so cozy and homey. The decorations and colors are so refreshing to the eyes. They have given really much thought into this place. This is not one of your average ice cream shops. I think they almost had everything you would look for in a place to unwind or chat with a good friend.

The place is adorable!! Despite the small space it occupies in the restaurant complex, each space is used quite well--wall decor, ceiling lighting with books consistent with its CSR program, posters about the thrust of the place, bar stools and little tables, and outdoor seating. A photograph of who I assume is "Papa Diddi" was on a high shelf.
The attendant was very nice and accommodating, and I like how this dessert place lets people do taste-testing. Works well because the flavors are very unique. Today, the selection of ice creams were Davao Meets Bicol (hmm, relevant right now, wouldn't you say?), Tarragon, Basil, Mother's Love, Tres Leches, Double Chocolate, and Peanut Butter and Jelly. I tried the Davao Meets Bicol in the taste-test, but ended up getting a scoop each of PB&J and Mother's Love. The PB&J is a peanut-y flavor that is not nakakaumay (probably due to the swirl of jelly in the flavor?). The Mother's Love, on the other hand, is a kalamay-tasting ice cream that reminds one of the experience of eating sundot-kulangot.
My boyfriend ordered a scoop of Double Chocolate, which was probably the best dark chocolate-tasting ice cream I have ever had. I had a taste of his Tres Leches scoop as well--it was heavenly. Creamy and filling, it provided a nice contrast to the Double Chocolate scoop. My boyfriend liked it so much, he said he would order a triple scoop of Tres Leches next time. From the looks of the tubs, the Tarragon and the Tres Leches were best sellers for the day. Maybe one day I'll try out the spice-flavored ice creams, hehe.
I like the touch of putting a sugarcone on top of the scoops--very Instagram-able and adorable as heck. I can't wait to come back and chance on some more of their flavors. I love how my experience at Papa Diddi's was cooling due to the frozen treat, and at the same time heart-warming because you know you're eating not just for yourself, but to help others as well.

Update: Tried Cheese Closed (cheese ice cream with cheese bits, okay lang); Roasted forbidden rice (second best I've ever had, such a nice complex flavor with rice grains that are delightfully chewy); Davao meets Bicol aka best flavor ever (dark chocolate with an after taste of chili).

Sink your teeth into delectable ice cream, handcrafted with local flavors. Each flavor is especially handcrafted and made from local ingredients; from cacao, mangoes, bananas, forbidden rice, everything. I like how natural their flavors are. You can seriously say that it's very creamy(no water crystals in between bites, always a good sign), and the flavors are meticulously thought of. They also have take-out pints you can enjoy at the comfort of your own home.

This place is quaint. It is quite small and can seat about 5-7 people inside but there is a patio area which is an area shared with other restaurants besides it. They use local resources which is a plus for me (support local farmers!). Their ice cream flavors changes everyday.

I was able to taste test all the available ice cream they had that day. My favorite, and what I got was Mother's Love (panatcha flavor). I like that they have rather exotic flavors such as Tarragon which is my next choice or the mango flavored ice cream with pili nuts. They also had a black rice ice cream which I though was lacking in taste. The Davao Meets Bicol (chocolate with chili) was another interesting flavor as well as the Basil Leaf. They have interesting names for some of their ice cream which gives them character.

For their ice cream sandwich, you can choose to have chocolate chip cookie, oatmeal, ginger, or peanut butter. It does not have to be the same flavors fpr both cookies as you can have 2. I liked the design on the plate. The price was good though do not get single scoop (unless you're on a diet).

Staff seemed really nice and accommodating.

Would have given a 5 but place was small inside, otherwise I really like this place. I would definitely come back.

Aside from learning that their ice creams are made fresh everyday, they also have a CSR initiative called SCOOP (we support communities out of poverty), where they will donate educational materials to public school where they source out their materials from local farmers.

That explains why the interior of Papa Diddi's is like a library: with books on the shelves and as accent to the lights!

With all these goodness we were getting from this place, we happily went for an Indulgence at Php 99. An indulgence means we get to choose three (3) flavors of their homemade ice cream so chose the ff:

-- Peanut Butter & Jelly

-- Tres Leches

-- Tsokolate de Cagayan

All were brimming with flavor! I love the right taste of the peanut butter & jelly. Tsokolate de Cagayan has that perfect balance of sweetness. But what captured my heart prolly is Tres Leches.

So, what can I say? A responsible company that offers true-goodness desserts, I must say, guys (especially those living in the north), let's always go for Papa Diddi's! Besides, their prices are very reasonable. Way to go, Papa Diddi's!

They deserve my high-5!

Enjoy eating,

It was just a random day when I asked my friend to dine our for a merienda. Without any research where to eat, we first ate in a Mexican resto and sadly, we were not happy with the food. We didn't want to end our food journey that way so we walked nearby looking for a place to have our dessert. Luckily, we passed by at Papa Diddi's where they serve homemade ice cream. Their ice cream was plated beautifully and tasted heavenly. Drools! Even their interior design was a head turner. We got the perfect spot to take good photos. In the end, our dessert saved the day.

Their ice cream is the creamiest and freshest that I have ever eaten. Flavors are really unique -- who knew that Mountain Province rice, star anise, or quezo de bola would turn out to be delicious ice cream? They make ice cream in small batches so you will see different flavors if you hang out in the store long enough. The best part: you can ask for sample tastes of the flavors before ordering.
I don't recommend getting the ice cream on the bed of rice crispies as it is too sweet and hard/sticky for my liking. A cone and cup is good enough to come with the scoopfuls of heaven.
I hope though that they get a bigger space. The place is getting too crowded as they grow more famous.
