Uno looks very unassuming from the outside but this establishment definitely takes its food and desserts seriously. I particularly enjoy coming here to take out a slice of their classic NY cheesecake and fallen chocolate cake. They look simple but are absolutely delightful and inexpensive.

On a Friday night, we went here with my college friends. The food is so good here that we finished everything without leftover. The pasta and main course tasted just right, not too much or lack flavor. The cakes are good, and it does not tasted too sweet. We actually want to get another one, but we felt full. Hope to visit this place soon.

A good friend suggested this place for cheesecake and coffee after a lengthy and fun lunch in a nearby restaurant. And I was charmed. It's old school (there is no POS), quiet and housed in an airy mid-century house. The cheesecake (P75/slice) needed no crust and was fluffy, not too sweet and creamy! I liked it so much I bought several more for my family, together with some slices of flourless chocolate cake (P75/slice) and carrot cake (P65/slice). Where in the metro can you find really good cake at those prices? Oh, and they have bread daily. I am definitely hanging out in this area again.

This is my perfect place. The five-star rating is for the additional sentimental factor. But of course the food and service are great. They make fine cuisine.

Menu is changed every several weeks so menu is never boring. They change how the food is cooked but the quality—tasteful and delicious— always stays the same.

Been coming here since this restaurant opened more than 20 years ago. The place, the food, the people who cook and serve—bring back happy memories of friends before and now. It’s my neighborhood hang out that has outlived all other restaurants in Tomas Morato.

Unlike the main meals, dessert rarely changes. My favorite is the flourless cake.

Wifi: not available.
Smoking area: a nice one on the second floor.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

8pm to be exact, April 23,
The place for is very private as its situated on a corner of the krispy kreme with its plain white interior with dimmingly low light that is ideal for relaxing dinner.

Food again were all straight forward delicious from pastas which is aldente and tasty, to scrimpi that is perfectly cooked, to desserts that were simple yet palatable.

Service is just meeting expectations. Not too energy from staff but not too much slow either.

I want to explore more of this restaurant.
And i’m recommending it to everyone!! :)

Definitely a good find! Uno serves one of the best cheesecakes (in my opinion) at a price of just P75 per slice! It it extra creamy that is why i love it.

Uno restaurant sits silently at Sct. Fuentebella St. near Tomas Morato.

The interiors are plainly designed with colors limited to black and white. Although, I came in a little after lunch time and the place may probably look better during evenings, but I do find it a bit drab.

I ordered their Specialty of the Day which is the Pan Fried Wrasse with fried potatoes. They served it with a serving of bean soup with very light consistency, could be beef broth. The Wrasse has traces of citrusy pulp that probably comes from oranges.

I like the simplicity of how this meal is prepared, and it felt unique. It was delicious and yet I'm ambivalent about how plain things are in this restaurant. Even the service seemed plain. Not quite impressive but not bad.

This restaurant has been around for ages and I understand why.

They change their menu every month (I think). Food is always of high quality and you know it's cooked with love. It is small and intimate, perfect for dates. Servers are very knowledgeable about the dishes and they are very friendly and attentive.

Their flourless chocolate cake used to be my favorite (as in I remember requesting for that specific cake for one of my birthdays years ago) but was very disappointed when I tried it again last week. That was the only disappointment. Apart from that, everything was excellent!

I ordered their pan fried salmon with skin and my friend ordered their lamb stew with couscous. Both were fantastic!

Pictures posted for your appreciation. 😊

Uno also meant my current #1 recommendation for comfort food in Tomas Morato area.

It is an inevitable venue for dinner meetings and momentous gatherings. Simplicity is one thing I love about this Italian restaurant. Interiors are presented with effortless blank walls, wooden chairs, and plain white cloth on the tables.

Food is as straightforward as the ambience. The menu changes consistently but the high-class service is a constant.

I love their variety of salads toppings from candied walnuts to arugula mixed with beetroot in vinaigrette sauce. They also perfected al dente pasta. Satisfying penne dishes includes chicken broccoli pasta and a plate of dried shrimps with sundried tomato penne, each for P390.

The dessert menu is affordably good. My top 3 slices in no particular order are Cheesecake (P75), Fallen Chocolate Cake (P75), and the Carrot Cake (P65). Their flourless cake is surprisingly half the price of the usual coffee shop desserts.

Uno is open from 11:00am to 9:30pm. There’s an allocated parking space beside the restaurant.

This place is like my Cheers. A resto where everyone knows my name. Staff knows where I prefer to be seated, gives me iced tea without me asking and shows and recommends the specials of the day. I love it here. Good food, fantastic bread, polite and efficient service. They change menu quarterly so there's always something new to look forward to.

Uno has been in the area for the longest time.  The place is clean and simple.  The place is not conducive for meetings, as the acoustics are bad due to the concrete finishing and glass.  There are 2 daily specials that are offered, so it's always a surprise if you're a regular diner.  Main menu is changed every few months.  Their bread is good and comes free with your main course order.  They are also known for their excellent Cheesecake and breads.  The staff is efficient.  As Uno is an old establishment, there are regular diners that you would recognize.  Price is on the high side.  Cash basis only for this resto.

Minimalist type of resto.. No wall decors. No music. Just tables, chairs and a very delicious freshly baked bread while you wait for your entree. The serving is good for sharing. My friend ordered local tenderloin and he found it so-so same as my fettuccine. Its taste like my home cook tuna pasta but chicken. Best thing about this is they change menu every now and then. At least guest can try different menu and of course their bread. Did I mention that they have bread too?

This is my favorite "serenity" place in Tomas Morato. I love their #Carrot #Cake and #Cafe Americano.

It's the place where most celebrities go to for lunch and merienda. They serve a variety of #pasta, #viands and #rice meals.

Every month they change their menu but their desserts are staple. I also love their freshly baked #bread.

Every pasta i order at UNO is simply the best. Nothing beats good quality ingredients and a seasoned chef. I have been coming back for a few years now and i have never been disappointed. If you like to cap off your meals with desert and coffee like me, prices are reasonable at around Ph600.00 per person and really worth it. What i love here is that it's just all about the food. Nothing fancy. You just go there to eat good food and just be quiet. If you go early you can even buy freshly baked bread which they also serve as part of the meal. Ask for more butter to go with the warm bread. Their servers are the same people from way back. Their fresh brewed iced tea served on squat looking glasses and are refillable. I think they renovated at least once but it looks the same to me. I just noticed one time that they had a very slightly different wall paper than before. What changes every so often is their menu. Once they change they don't serve it anymore but you can look forward to the next set which is always as good as the last one if not more so.

I've been here countless times. If i am to best describe uno, the most suitable is recommended -for -business -meetings -on-a-fixed -budget . Why? 1.) the place is cozy , comfortable, and quiet enough. Except for some periods when insensitive guests would speak like there's a built- in megaphone in their throats 2) The service is good , servers are alert , the aircon is always comfortably cool. 3.) theres a daily set lunch of two choices averaging 450 per head. Soup or salad , and main course. Well presented, you just know with the daily menu that the cook/ chef is seasoned. 99% fresh ingredients. 4) proportional parking spaces for the tables inside. Only, it is a vertical garage, if your car is upfront , you may need to move it during your meals, this can be a downer. 5) freshly baked breads are served on the house. Refills are free of charge. Drinks and coffee though are extras.
I say it's a " fixed budget " since set lunch meals are regularly pegged at 450 ph max .

We were about to dine somewhere else but when we passed by Uno Restaurant, we decided to dine here instead because we were attracted to their veranda!
It was like an apartment that was converted into a restaurant. Their first and second floor were really cozy as well. We went straight up to their veranda. The veranda is small and could accomodate only a group of friends. Their staff informed us that we are only allowed to order desserts in the veranda. It was really perfect since what we really wanna do is have some coffee and order a couple of pastries. Their desserts were really affordable. We ordered lemon cake, creme brulee, butter rhum cake, fallen chocolate cake and hot&cold cappuccino. All of them tasted really great. We were just distracted with the fly that keeps on going near our food. We got tired of keeping our cakes safe from the fly so we ate them all fast. Their Wi-Fi connection couldn't reach the veranda so me and my friend had a chance to tell stories.
We really enjoyed having coffee here while looking at the "not so good view" of the street. They have this very dim light at the veranda at night which make it really great for chilling with friends. If it wasn't for the great veranda, we won't chill here. Kidding! Will try there meals next time.

Uno Restaurant on Scout Fuentebella is something of an institution for the neighborhood, given that most upscale restaurants in this area have come and gone in the past decade and a half.

It isn't even upscale in the traditional sense - you've got casual wooden tables and crisp white linen, a very compact menu...in its favor, though, the place is thankfully quiet, there is no music, and if you're into this kind of thing, likely to bump into showbiz faces from the nearby stations.

Loyal aficionados of Uno's reclusive and slightly crochety cook, Mari Relucio, know that it's best to pick off the Menu of the Day, scrawled casually on their blackboard - two choices on a two-course selection (usually a soup or salad, then a main dish), one cheaper than the other. Expect one to cost around P400, the other between P550-700...more or less. There may be more craft than artistry to Relucio's soups and vegetable salads, pan-seared fish and the occasional steak, but the cooking is solid; no riffraff.

Uno has caved in to repeated requests for pasta dishes, which have made their way on the menu. I do not recommend them; perhaps the chef is not inspired by pasta. If you must go a la carte, get appetizers and the mains instead.

Uno makes very good flourless chocolate and an Italian-style baked cheesecake, both served unadorned; these you must try. Their breads - including the pagnotta served at table, and the ciabattas, croissants and Danishes, are great take-homes. I usually freeze my croissants and pop them in the oven first thing the next morning, and they are perfect.

UNO has been part of the Quezon City dining scene for quite some time now. It has always been able to update itself and remain relevant to the diners who flock the place over the years. The restaurant welcomes you with a simple, clean design, white crisp tablecloths and wooden accents. What's so great about UNO is that its menu changes every so often so it'll keep you on your toes and keep you coming back to sample their latest fare. Don't worry because whatever comes out of the kitchen is always sure to please. I remember having a squid dish 'ala plancha' and it was so memorable, I went back for it a few weeks later but it was no longer on the menu. So I got something else and I was also very happy with the result. UNO also sells their homemade bread and pastries that make excellent take aways. Be warned though, they don't accept credit cards so be prepared to bring cash.
