Bliss O Berry - Since I am a fan of strawberries, I was eager to try thos one and The Porch didn't disappoint my taste buds hihi.
Graham crackers with vanilla ice cream and strawberries with strawberry syrup.
Happy heart and happy tummy indeed!
Death by Chocolate - One of their bestsellers. Masarap naman pero naumay ako dahil puro chocolate
The food was very generous , the place was very vintage and homey. The cool thing about was when we celebrated with my friends and they still had valentine's themed decorations. The teddy bear area was always occupied sadly we couldn't take a picture but overall it was very good, both service and the food
My boyfriend and I have been wanting to visit this place for months, but we always cancel on the last minute because of our hectic schedules. Finally, on the afternoon of New Year's Eve we get to dine and try their famous BIG BANG BURGER and MILKY WAY.
The burger was great with its juicy, tender, and well-cooked patty sandwiched between fresh baked buns. The drink, on the other hand, was very refreshing and perfect for all chocolate lovers. The serving was too much for the two of us, but is more than worth it for groups of four.
Moreover, the interior of the place was very unique, cozy, and fully airconditioned. The servers are also very friendly and accommodating. And, last but not the least, the place is open on New Year's Eve! It was very convenient for us that they were open on that day and we were able to finally visit their place.
Have you ever thought of actually getting a house that would make you look like you are living in an American dream house back in the 50s? If you feel like being thrown back into the 50s with Marilyn Monroe and The Notebook vibes kind of feel, then we got the perfect American themed restaurant for you.
Lagi ko tong nadadaanan pag nag hypermarket ako and I really thought wala syang parking space, meron pala hehe. Anyways magrereview ako dahil nag pa deliver brother ko ng food sa kanila. Kaya busog na naman ang barat. Haha The food was delivered through food panda app nga pala. The food was delivered after an hour from the time of purchase, so kung gutom na gutom ka na. Punta ka nalang sa branch nila. Mas OK kasi sa bahay na kumain ka barat kasi naka unli rice ka pag sa bahay. Hahaha. Ayus din ang pagka package ng food nila malinis at ready to serve na, pwede na d i lipat ng lagayan. Now the food, ok yung lasa ng food nila and the sauces ayus din pero I think medyo bitin kasi iba sinasabaw pa talaga sa kanin, like me sauce palang ulam na sa kabaratan hahaha. Kaya kung mag order try to tell kung pwede may extra sauce ng ribs kasi masarap sya pansabaw sa kanin. Inorder namin ribs nila at fish fillet at calamares. Yung fish fillet masyadong maharina for me kaya di ko sya type tsaka yung calamares din. Yung ribs masarap ang timpla lalo pag may sauce at hot sauce kung mahilig sa maanghang tiyak ubos talaga kanin nyo sa bahay. One thing na napansin ko sa ribs nila is sobrang tipid sa laman. Para nilaplap to the bones talaga. Parang litid na lang na tira with laman na ewan sa kunti. Parang tinga na lang sya compared sa bones haha. May casa verde din kasi sa Cebu and yung ribs nila is malaman talaga at juicy. Yung na deliver kasi samin, sa sobrang nipis ng laman parang na prito na sya at nag dry. Yun lang naman I think ang napansin ko. Siguro depende sa supplier nila ng ribs kaya ganun. All in all OK parin naman ang kinalabasan kasi naka dalawang saing kami ng kanin hahaha

The mighty ton is highly recommended for group meals, though I’m interested in finishing one alone haha! The ambiance of the place is nice, our group was so big and the inside of the place cannot accomodate us anymore so we chose to eat outside. Good thing the weather wasn’t too hot. The food tasted awesome. It’s definitely not one of those quantity over quality food. The meat has the right amount of taste. 👍🏻
It has a nice space though its a lil bit small. We dine here (wid my friends) and got the group meal. All the food including in the meal was great. Our 1500 peso is very sulit.
The porch is famous for having the largest milkshake and burger in town. And because of that, you really have to wait for like an hour since the queue is really loooong and the place is not big enough to accommodate the crowd. But i tell you guys, the wait was worth it.
For the food, we ordered their famous milkshake and mighty ton.The milkshake is not just amazing by its look, but also its taste is good too. The milkshake is good for 4 person. For the mighty ton, my favorite is not the burger itself, but the fries hahaha because it melts in your mouth, and the taste is not typical. It’s actually one of my fave fries that I’ved ever had. The burger taste fine for me because i’m not really a fan of mushroom bacon burger. The burger is good for 8-12 people because it’s really big, i sweaaar. The food is really ig worthy.
Their burgers were satisfying but not really that good. They tasted like regular burgers you can get at ₱50-a-burger joints near your neighborhood. But one burger can fill you up good, huge portions, you can really get that bang for your buck feel.
The location is kind of small to be honest. So long ques before you can get a table, long ques for orders, long ques for parking. BUT the food is good. The serving is big, price wise though a little bit high but you get what you paid for. Overall experience was great and even though the que for the food is long they send their food out fast and cooked well not rushed.
1 order of Brian Ribs is already good for 2, super sulit!
Death Chocolate a little bit expensive for me kasi hindi ko siya as in nagustuhan pero okay naman siya. We will try other dishes next time. 💕
Always been my favorite. Aside from it is only few blocks from our house the food is superb. I Love the ribs good for 3. I also love the simplicity of their fish. For the value of money its worth it. I always recommend this place to my friends. I always coming back here😊
I like the porch's ambiance compared to the casa verde resto. It's very homey. The menu is exactly the same so theres not much to rave about. The good thing about this place is it has a spacious parking space. The staff in the kitchen is a bit noisy though, really bothered me.
Diliman is one destination that I always consider when looking for a cafe or restaurant. This is a great place to explore because it features several dining spots. Although there is always something new, the place I’m going to share in this post has been around for a few years.
I think this promo is really sulit. And almost everyone's order is this. Platter of ribs, fries, chicken, and I think it's breaded fish. Really tastes delicious. Tip, be early if you're planning to eat on weekends. They do not accept reservations.
Victoria's Secret Spaghetti was really cheesy & meaty..my daughter loved it. Brian's Ribs was bigger than I expected; we got to take home some of it 😄 The candied nuts on the strawberry vignette salad were too hard for us to enjoy but their frozen cakes & milkshake are the bomb! Sugar amount in drinks is customizable; just mention it to their friendly staff when placing your order.
The back ribs should always be on your top 1 list! Their serving is huge but still value for money. If you're with a group I recommend their 1,199 platter w/c is good for 5 to 6 persons. Just be prepared to be on queue if you're heading for weekend but the food is still worth the wait 😊😁😋
i will come back here if i have a friends whos willing to eat a lot, they served to much i think, because we order atleast three menu and we think that was good for two but we are surprised that we cannot eat it all and ended up by taking it out.. the food is not that yummy but good..
And Im Back 😊 happy and contented now, this time i try WE rather the house special and im happy and super full.. my friends too, they enjoyed it.. worth your penny.. 👍👍👍 for it.. be back again and again..

Very nice interior. Very clean dining area. Servings were for group with big appetite!! Burger was tasty, but the patty seems to lack binder (egg or flour) that it breaks apart..the kids loved the milkshake! :)
Great place and great value for your money although their side dish veggies are not fresh but frozen. I will not recommend ordering their shrimp as well as I have ordered it several times amd and it's not fresh as well. But the ribs is never a let down!
Number of times visited: More than 2X
Parking: Available but limited
Food: We highly recommend Brian’s ribs! Fall off the bone goodness and the single serving is quite large. The order comes with rice and you can order extra rice if you want to share with your companion. The Fish and Fries serving is large as well, it can be good for two people. The taste is just okay. For the salads, our choice is the Mixed Greens with Strawberry Vinaigrette – quite expensive but what do you expect with vegetable prices here in Manila.
Price: It may seem expensive but given the size of the servings and if you want to share – the price per person could go down. Prices are relatively okay.
Service: Attentive despite the volume of customers.
Place: The places fills up pretty quickly. Not sure about the waiting time for tables as we try to go for early lunch and early dinner. The air-conditioned dining area is a bit cramped. They have tried to squeeze in as much tables as they can inside. Bigger groups will have a hard time finding a table inside. There are more provisions for bigger groups at the outdoor dining area.
Repeat? Yes, we always come back for the ribs!
After seeing good reviews from Zomato, we decided to check out the place and all I can say for now is that the hype is true. Me and my friend came in for lunch at almost 12nn and we’re lucky to be early for 5mins because lots of diners came in but got to wait for seat because the place is already packed. This food place gave a nice homey ambience both for their indoor and the outdoor seats.
We ordered Peter’s Pork Steak and single serving of Brian’s Ribs. Serving time took 15mins. When the food was served, I got the delighted shocked face because the serving is huge. The red big plate was pretty stuffed. For Peter’s Pork Steak, the meat was tender. I think it’s cooked medium well so just a slight pink can be seen, which is fine. The steak was also well seasoned. The fat was a bit intimidating, tho.
For Brian’s Ribs, we got a huge two slices that waaaaay overpower the rice serving they have. Haha. The meat was tender tho not yet to the level of bone-falls-off-easily. It was also tasty. We got the yummy barbeque flavor. The corn and carrots mix balances off the flavor.
Overall, really enjoyed eating here and would definitely go back because there’s more to try and the money we pay really got justice with their servings.
The place is just small and always packed with diners. It's better if you go past meal time to make sure that you got seats or else you have to wait for a couple of minutes to be seated.
The ribs are tender and juicy..and kinda falls of the bones.
Their spaghetti is just okay and the other pasta..the spicy one i think it lacks sauce.
The bun of their burger (big bang) is yummy and the patty is proportionate to the size of the bun. And the patty is juicy and not dry.
Their green tea cake tastes super strong..it has like bits of tea in it so it's not really okay. The others tastes good.
The Food:
Southwest Egg Rolls (Php 218) / Rate: 4.5/5
We first had baskets of appetizers. This is their Southwest Egg Rolls. Crispy egg rolls loaded with chicken, corn, black beans, spinach and spices. It is served with the appetizing pineapple cream salsa sauce, which you can use as dip for other fried appetizers as well. I posted this on Instagram and people have mistaken it as the egg rolls from Chili’s. Haha! Well if you love Chili’s version, you will go crazy for this, givien the reasonable price of one order.
Green Bites (Php 188) / Rate: 5/5
Teach your children how to eat the right veggies. How? Give them Green Bites! Broccoli, bacon, onions and cheese, mixed and minced, rolled in breadcrumbs and lightly fried. The taste and texture is fantastic, without a hint of vegetables, especially when you dip in their homemade honey mustard sauce.
Brian’s Ribs (Php 295/single) / Rate: 5/5
I couldn’t believe the size of Brian’s Ribs is only Php 295. You get your good old baked pork ribs covered in a sweet and tangy sauce. Its sauce is perfectly how you imagine your ribs to be taste-buds and tummy filling. To complete the red plate, you get your rice or mashed potatoes, and corn & carrots. Even students who are on a budget have the right to feast together.
White Chocolate Chill Out (Php 198) / Rate: 4.5/5
There’s more to love at the porch turned restaurant like this ice cream cake desserts. All the ice cream desserts are equally perfect to cap off the night but the top choices depends on your preferences. If you’re into cookies and cream, this White Chocolate Chill Out calls out for you. Vanilla ice cream mixed with almonds and oreo cookies sitting on top of a chocolate cookie crust covered in a white chocolate shell, then drizzled with chocolate syrup.
Death by Chocolate Ice Cream Cake (Php 188) / Rate: 5/5
We know how much the majority loves chocolates. Thus, this Death by Chocolate Ice Cream Cake is born. Chocolate and nutty rocky road ice cream mixed with chocolate bits on a chocolate cookie crust covered in a chocolate shell and drizzled with chocolate syrup.

Brian's ribs FTW! Meat is just so soft and tender and tasted perfectly. One of the best sellers of The Porch. I also love their Fisherman's Platter and their spaghetti. Any meal you order here is cooked with a heart to make you make feel at home. Plus the staff are very accomodating. Better get here early though during weekends as it is usually packed every lunch/dinner time and they don't accept reservation. #yum
The food here is great! We've ordered The Mighty Ton and the Milky Way Milkshake and the serving is no joke! The staffs were very accommodating since we waited. Will go back here next time!
A savory and generous serving of ribs for a price of 295php only will be enough for you to say that Porch's foods are worth the money. Unlike other rib place, the porch's ribs really is affordable compared to its size. I like the barbeque sauce they serve with the ribs and the tenderness of the meat. Its not hard to chew and you'll order extra rice for sure! I also had their lava cake and its good. Not as rich as I expect it to be esp the chocolate in the middle but its still okay. Hope they could advice their cake supplier or if they are the ones who bakes the cake, to adjust the rawness of chocolate in the middle so when you slice it, the chocolate will instantly drip and flow out since its a molten lava cake.
Rustic but nice and comfy place and ambiance, reminds me of our home in the province lol Quite limited but good enough number of choices, good taste, great value for money as servings are quite generous esp the steak and the ribs, you are guaranteed a full belly after dinner.
For several years now, Sikatuna Village’s food industry has been booming, especially since it covers part of Maginhawa Street, which is well-known for the restaurants and shops that span the street end-to-end. But just before you enter Maginhawa Street, just along Anonas Extension, there’s a place where people have been eating for years now. Today, I still see the place packed with people, some even waiting in line for several minutes to possibly an hour just to get a seat. That’s The Porch by Casa Verde in Sikatuna Village, Quezon City.

So we were there thursday afternoon like 1pm with my friends, ang inorder namin is yung worth P1299 because 5 kami sobrang worth it sya ang sarap nung fish fillet, ribs, and chicken nila worth it you can ask for additional sauce without extra fee. The ambiance is good! Sadly, wala nga lang silang wifi :( pero okay lang kasi masarap naman yung food 👌🏽👍🏽
Went here for our pre monthsary celebration(since Bukas pa talaga hahaha) and I love love love the place! It looks fancy and the ideal date place to go to. We tried their buffalo wings which are so good and their steak which was so delicious as well! The carbonara was okay but I didn't like it that much. I love the place tho! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Been there last december 2!! The burger and fries ; especially the shake are all delicious. I'd like to go there again. The staffs are also approachable and friendly!
We ordered for their package deal worth P1,200** and damn I never thought it would be this much! So so much! It was more than enough for 5 people. So, we also ordered the Brian's Rib Bucket(P950**) plus the milkshake in a huge glass(P400**)
The package includes ribs, roast chicken, fish fillet, fries and corn&carrots. It was unbelievable we ordered this much! The ribs bucket, my good lord! We didnt know how many was there but it was worth it! One piece of the ribs could be good for sharing. #SolidRibsNight
Everything was good but the ribs was definitely the best!
The place is quite small. We would like to sit inside, which is airconditioned, but the tables are for smaller groups, we were seven btw. No choice, we seated outside. We went on a saturday night so the place was packed with customers. I wish they expand the indoor setting cause we all know the weather here in the Philippines, it's always hot.
**the prices are approximates
The place is totally cozy and really rustic!
I tried their "Brian's Ribs" and I must say that it did not disappoint. However, it is not 100% satisfying. Plating was so-so. And with their dessert of "Death by Chocolate", it was a-okay. Not that great but not that bad either.
Overall, it is a nice place to eat out with some great company. #ThePorch

-the ribs is so yummy and they offer big servings so guaranteed you'll be satisfied.
- the chocolate shake is a must try.
- i ordered pasta and i must say it's so-so to my palate because it kinda bland but well i enjoyed it anyhow :)
- the place is good, though it's small it can cater groups
Finally the Famous Porch Oversized Food.
I highly Recommend the Porch 👍🏼

The Porch by Casa Verde is among all the other restaurants in Sikatuna Village, although this place is the farthest from other restaurants in the area. This house turned into a restaurant is one of the places which shares Casa Verde's crowd pleaser's menu.
During our visit, the place was already full house. Considering we went there in a big group of 10, the attending crew told us if we can wait. When we were a little hesitant to wait for diners to finish, they started setting up a table in the vacant area of the porch. Totally appreciated it however the lighting was not entirely great. Could have been better if we were seated inside the resto which btw looks very homey and instagram-ish.
So we ordered, we particularly went there to try The Mighty Ton – this big ass 12-inch burger with BLT and cheese, plus french fries on the side with our choice of flavor. We just ordered one, you might think it won't feed us all 10, but think again when I say that each share was almost as big as a major league burger at Zark's. The experience and actual sight of the Mighty Ton left us in awe. It may have been very filling alright, but since the burger was really big, the quality of it was compromised. No exciting flavors there. I'd rather have burger from Burger King, if you might ask.
We also ordered The Best Sampler – a plate of the best appetizers The Porch has to offer. Bacon & Cheese Potato Skins, Mozzarella Sticks, and Buffalo Wings with 3 different dips. The mozza sticks tasted alright when dipped to the sauces but didn't taste much on its own. Buffalo wings has a mild heat on it, crunchy and tender, however I've had better. And among all three, I love Potato Skins the most. It tasted great for me. Soft potato with the smokiness of bacon and perfect combination to any of the dips. The serving size of the sampler was a little underwhelming, only 3-4 pieces of each element, and somehow a little too pricey for Php 358.
I think for the experience, the place still worth the try. But for the food, I'd rather have it some place else. Or maybe we just didn't order the best option yet. Ribs from the neighboring table looked so sinful. If I'm going back to this place, I sure will have those rack of ribs.
Hidden within the busy streets of Quezon City, lies this chic but homey restaurant. A bit of an adventure going here all the way from Makati, but the travel was all worth it. Specializing on American/Italian food, this can be an exciting and fun experience for all. May it be a meal out with the family or friends, there is surely something for every discerning palate. One of the items on the menu that we got to try was the Mighty Ton(Burger), that can be shared by 5 to 8 people (depending on your appetite really). Almost as big as a family sized pizza, it has a hefty size of patty, topped with cheese, lettuce, onions and others. It can be pre-sliced according to which way you want it. Another item is the Milky Way (Milkshake). Imagine, chocolate shake placed on a VERY tall glass glazed with chocolate syrup on the side, topped with a big scoop of chocolate ice creme + whipped creme and a piece of cherry to complete it all. YUUUUM! Can any one say chocolate OVERLOAD?! But of course, even though we already ate a lot, I was determined to try their Death by Chocolate (Ice Creme cake). Some what true to its name, one bite from it can send you to death. Kidding of course. But it's reaaaallly good. First of all the cake didn't melt that fast (though it was pretty hot inside the restaurant). And you can really taste the rich flavors of chocolate in every bite. Well, actually I had it before we had the main dish ;) What? A girl just LOVES her dessert :D
The best burger place I've visited for now. The huge burger was perfectly stuffed with awesome and fresh ingredients! A taste that every person won't forget.
The missing .5 is for the lack of seats for those who wait for their turn to eat.
I was excited to have lunch here with my colleagues since I have tried Casa verde in UP town but i didn't get to try their famous Brians ribs.
This time I finally ordered it and shared it with my friend. The so called single serving was still too much for the two of us. It was amazingly huge and flavoured all the way to the bones.
Really love the homey vibe of this place, can't wait to come back with my girl friends and we'll try their desserts then.
Good food, good ambience especially when you're with good company. The design of their restaurant suits their name. It definitely is a porch. 😀 Their servings are of quantity and quality. Surely, a must try!

Mom and I were so tired after having dental check up at Torch of Light Academy in Q.C. so we headed to the nearest restaurant right after our duty!
The Porch Platter caught our attention agad-agad coz we saw it on the poster posted on the wall. :)) Plus... We got the Milkyway milkshake!! It was a chocolate milkshake tower---which is good for 3-5 persons!! :))
We were like "kaya ba nating dalawa maubos to??!!"
Good thing boyfriend followed us there to finish our sumptuous dinner 😂
The Porch Platter (good for 4-6persons) includes:
✔best-seller ribs
✔breaded fish fillet
✔half roasted chicken
✔2 side dish (corn+carrots, fries)
✔super dami rice!
=all for 1199php only
Milkyway Milkshake: 345php
*btw- The Porch is a baby branch of Casa Verde it's obvious (The Porch by Casa Verde)

This is another place added on my "must eat" list for when I come to Sikatuna/Maginhawa area.
Their Baked Pork Ribs (Brian's Ribs) and Monte Cristo Sandwich are my faves. The Ribs were tender, moist, and the meat was literally falling off the bones. The BBQ glaze was a little too sweet for liking, delicious nonetheless.
I also highly suggest the Ting-Ting's Tavern (Fried Battered Shrimps). It comes with a tangy tartar sauce and vegetables on the side. Yummy, just yummy.
Aside from savoury items, The Porch also serves some of the best ice cream cakes I've tasted in my life. We sampled three favours: Matcha Green Tea, Bliss-o-Berry, and Caramel Macchiato. Seriously, these ice cream cakes were notoriously delicious and they looked stunning too.
Definitely come with a hungry stomach, and you'll leave happily stuffed. I do recommend having all of the above, but if you can, make sure really to try everything!
This place is good for family and friends bonding especially when you ordered The Mighty Ton plus The Giant Milky way Shake. But the place is too small. Make this place more spacious than the parking lot. Lol!
Late review :
Someone at work induced to eat and try out this place he spotted on FB. He even googled the place and showed to us. In the long run, we've come to terms and arrange the date. It was exactly 2 weeks ago now. It was intently our payday.
The place was considerably distant from work. It take us at least an hour or more before we get there. But the long drive was fun, I was with friends after all. It was literally foodspotting !
When we get there, I flabbergasted and figured it was just walk away to the place I use to live few years back. Never had any inkling there was this nicest place on earth just around the corner (ang saklap). Nonetheless I was amazed with the place. An ancestral house turned restaurant. Ambiance is cozy, laid-back and homey.
We ordered the infamous mighty ton ( 12 inches burger) and a milkyway perfect for table for a party.
Food was served quickly to our surprise. I personally was surprised the burger was dense, juicy and gratifyingly fatty. I had less hope for the burger's taste perhaps coz of its size. Nevertheless it was satisfying but not bloody though. I partly enjoyed the shake, I find it awkward sipping it with the other four in one container. Perhaps I have to get my own next time.
We stayed in the place longer than we thought. The chilly ambiance is really inviting. We had additional orders while chitchatting.
The place for me, is a must to visit.
P.S.
Sorry for the photo. I actually already deleted the photos in my phone just grabbed it from my IG.
If you like your meat sweet then you will love Brian's ribs. Maybe 4 out of 5 times we have been here the pork is just perfect (sweet, tender, juicy). There was 1 occasion that the pork was too well done so it was a bit hard.
It's best you pair the pork with their salad which has lettuce, carrots, grapes, caramelized nuts, and dressing on it. Basically a sour-sweet combination.
Overall I like eating here with my family. Very filling and sulit.
More than an hour before we were accommodated. We tried their most-talked-about-humongous burger, Mighty Ton and milkshake. Gotta love the pizza-size burger. I guess the mushrooms in it made it more promising. The wait is definitely worth it! 👏
It was a great experience dining at the Porch. I ordered surf and turf and was very satisfied. It's affordable for its serving size. I will definitely be coming back.
Went here with my classmates. Good ambiance but not easy to find. The value of money is also good. Wish they'll allow to bring or play inside their restaurant some board games or card games like UNO.

Big meaty burger with awesome milky way shake!! Yum yum!! Good place to eat with friends. Only problem is the traffic.. Will be back to try that tasty rib. 😍
I’ve finally found the restaurant that offers the best value for money! Their fall-off-the-bone ribs are excellent, and for only Php275 for a serving? How awesome is that? The sauce is also quite different from the other sauces I’ve tried (in a good way). Slightly sweet and not overwhelming, you can add as many sauce as you like without affecting the flavor of the ribs. Each serving of ribs is good for two to three people.
Their sampler consisting of bacon and cheese potato skins, fried cheese, and buffalo wings, all with dips offers variety without the steep price. A good choice if you want to try multiple dishes in smaller quantities.
Their chocolate milkshake is also not bad. Will definitely try the huuuuge Milky Way Shake on my next visit!
Hello God of Burgers. I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed eating you. 😂😂😂 Hope to eat you again. Ahahaha And hope that will be soon.
The porch is one of the main foodtrips here around maginhawa bec of their mighty ton which is the food that we also ordered. We were obly 4 during that time and the burger was cut into 8 slices, the thing is we dont finished eating it all. Instead we just bring home the last 4 slices since 1 is enough for a person who havent eaten yet. It was good and i may say that the place is also good plus their set up. This place will definitely be one of our come backs. 😝
Went here on a Saturday early dinner around 5:30. Place was packed had to be on a waiting list 30mins to an hour waiting time or more. Their floor area is relatively small. Just like a small porch with couple of dining tables. A/c area also available but if your a big group alfresco dining is for you. Ample parking space is available. Because this is Casa Verde, of course Brians Ribs is recommended. We had Caryl's country Salad - honey mustard dressings gave this umay factor. Not so impressed with this salad.
Baked potato soup - taste good. Not too creamy well seasoned. Recommended.
Buffalo Wings - good, goes well with their bleu cheese dip but this ones really spicy.
Brian's Ribs - tender smoky fall of the bone ribs. Generous serving can be for sharing.
Seafood carbonara - tender shrimp and squid pieces but too heavy and creamy for us. Umay much.
Southwest pasta - just ok..
Fish n fries - generous serving of fish tenders and fries. Tartar sauce not that good. Doesnt really taste like tartar. Good for kids. Can be for sharing.
Classic chocolate milk shake - ok.
Food serving sizes are big, price is fair 275 for a genorous slab of ribs, worth your money. Some of the food are not that impressive and needs improvement on the taste the heaviness etc.. since the place is alfresco expect flies and mosquitoes. Maybe managment can put something to make insects away from diners. Friendly staff. Will go back? Yes but not on a weekend.
This resto is really sulit. You can enjoy their famous Brian's Ribs for only 250 (I think?Haha) We also ordered Fisherman's Platter which I enjoyed because I really love seafoods! And for dessert I had their Green Tea Ice Cake which tastes so damn good! We have not visited this place for quite some time though because the last time we did, my Circuited Soul and I had a serving of their ribs each, we forgot that the portions is really big so we were overwhelmed. We felt that the ribs we had that night is already good for a year. Hahahaha
I have been reading a lot of good reviews about this place. I was even surprised when I found out that this one is by Casa Verde's who has the best ribs in town. That is why when my friends invited me to dine in here, I was so excited to try their ribs. So I ordered their famous ribs and it was just ok. I mean, I've tried other ribs better than that of theirs. No offense meant, their ribs is good and tender but there are much other better good ribs aside from theirs. The serving was big though. One regular order is actually good for two that is why it is value for money. :)
One of my friends ordered their salad. It really liked their salad which is best paired up with their honey mustard dressing. We also ordered one of their appetizers that comes with mozzarella sticks, buffalo wings, and potato something (sorry I do not know the name). In fairness, it was good though. :)
The place itself is nice with that homey feeling. It is always jam packed that is why make sure you go there as early as possible. The good thing also is that they have a parking space so do not worry at all. :)
When I first saw a post regarding Casa Verde, I already fell inlove with its food. So I constantly reminding my boyfriend that I want to go there. And then, at last, we went here tonight. We walked all the way from Philcoa to Casa Verde and when we got there, we're all tired and hungry. We waited for our turn and then we ordered The Mighty Ton, Biggest Milkshake in Town and Rasperry Iced Tea that I've been craving for. How I love the bacon in the burger and it tasted so good. I actually ate 2 slices 😁
And we all shared in the milkshake, it tasted heaven. Plus all the crew were approachable and they attended all our needs.
All I can say is I want to go here again if given a chance and will going to try their other dishes as well. Such a wonderful night 😍❤ It's definitely worth it. Til' next time 😉
Celebrated our dad's dinner here. I must say that as far as comfort foods go, this is of great value. Generous servings ensure that you're satisfied with a bit left to take home!
Ideal for couples and small groups of 4 but not so much for large family gatherings. I just found the place cramped as we had to navigate our way through the packed chairs and tables with some of us having to stand up quite a few times to let others pass. The airconditioning also needs to be tuned to make our dining experience more comfortable.
had a late afternoon snack which ended up to be early dinner for me, their signature Porch Burger is very big for an average filipino but just right for me. served with the usual fries and topped with bacon and egg which reminds me of complete breakfast meal. bottomline.... yummy!
American food in the Philippines is one of the favorites of Filipinos. However most of them are above average spending…. It’s good to know that you can have quality food for your money. Porch is famous for its Mighty Ton Burger and Ribs. Value for money is what most people look for now. And I’m happy to share that for Php888 one can satisfy a family treat for cut-above-the-rest burger! Visit
It's my first time here. If you value for money I recommend this. Affordable and big serving.
My verdict:
◇As for the taste... food tasted ordinary. The rib is too sweet and oily. On the menu its tagged as "Single" but its actually good for 3. The spaghetti tasted like my mom's spaghetti only meatier. The crispy chicken taste like my cousin's cooking.. not really sure if they have signature dish. I'll find out. ☝
◇As for the service: You order your food like fast-food style.. you fall in line. so expect your order to be serve fast. (Kase nga fast food style??) They use Melaware serving plates (just like in fastfood chain).
◇As for the location:
Whats nice about this.. the ambiance. Just like Patio Vera they turn the house into resto but country style so relaxing and cozy and its easy to locate. And if you cannot wait for the long queue... #ThePorch is quite close the food strip in Maginhawa St.
Im still coming back for more that's for sure
I know that this place is pretty much the same thing as Casa Verde but for some reason, I like it much better here.
They offer the same best selling food items as Casa Verde with a few new items on their menu.
It's definitely value for money that you're after when dining in Porch or Casa Verde; and you're sure that you're going to get just that.
When I first heard of "The Porch" from some fellow Food Crawlers, I thought it was a small establishment, so when we got there, I was like, WHOAH. It's pretty, cozy, and has nice decor! It's like a dream house! We arrived late, prolly around 9pm, but the place was still abuzz with diners: families, friends, colleagues, etc. We were invited for a late dinner, and being The Food Crawlers, we were game even though we were already quite full from another foodie meet-up! :p
We sampled a variety of savory dishes namely bacon & cheese potato skins, fried cheese, buffalo wings, the Count of Monte Cristo sandwich, and Brian's ribs. The first 3 are their best-selling appetizers, and I totally understand why. Even without their respective dips/sauces, they tasted great, especially the wings & potato skins! It was my first time to encounter a Monte Cristo sandwich, which has turkey, ham, and American cheese. They are inside battered and fried white bread, dusted with powdered sugar and best eaten with raspberry jam. I'm kind of torn about this because it's so sinfully good! I find the battered bread a bit thick, though. Finally, the ribs were tender and seasoned just right. They came with peppery mashed potatoes and corn-carrots (these were kind of salty instead of buttery, though).
For our drinks, we had 4 kinds of milkshakes: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and the mother of them all - the humongous Milky Way! I love how thick the whipped cream was, it's like cake icing already! The Milky Way is meant for 3-4 people or 1 chocolate addict.
We continued our sugar rush with matcha ice cream cake, Bliss o' Berry cheesecake, and macchiato (?) ice cream cake. My favorite's the matcha because hey, it's matcha!!! A close second is the berry cheesecake, which has a subtle citrus-y flavor that doesn't taste like medicine. Coffee lovers would enjoy the macchiato ice cream cake for sure.
Overall, it was such a great experience, accompanied by great ambiance and awesome company. Can't wait to go back with other friends! :D I have my eyes on their burgers and pastas!
Unlike the Casa Verde branch at UP Town Center, The Porch restaurant on Anonas Ext has a converted house feel similar to the original Casa Verde in Cebu. The famous oversized food items are there, from their Milky Way chocolate milk shakes, with custom-length straws in custom 1.5ft high parfait glasses, and their Mighty Ton 12-inch burger, good for 4 to 6 (or 8, it's that big!).
And then some. Two dishes I liked most on our visit was their all-star breakfast offering, the MonteCristo (two sizes - single portion or family platter), cooked super fluffy, with quality ham and melted cheese, raspberry jam on the side; and their ribs, with a sweet glaze that doesn't compete with the natural rich flavor of the pork. They also have good side dishes, like their mozzarella sticks and tomato sauce dip, baked potato with sour cream, and the requisite spicy buffalo wings.
On the dessert side, many favor their milk shakes (regular and the oversized Milky Way), but their ice cream cakes are a great alternative. We tried three flavors - green tea, a caramelly macchiato, and my most favorite - an orange- and strawberry flavored Blissful Berry cheesecake; the cheesecake has a sweet orange flavor that marries well with cheesecake, and I recommend you try it.
I enjoyed the house feel of the place, decorated as it was with books, Star Wars, and other movie memorabilia. It's a nice place to pass the time - and it's probably less difficult to get a table here than at Town Center. Just my two cents.
I was invited together with my high school batchmates to check out this resto.
Took photos and yes we ate almost everything. We had a great meal over a good conversation. We were so full!
Gave a personal feedback to the owner since she's a friend. Mighty ton needs to be revamped! It was dry! ( This is the only one that i think had to be improved since this can drive foot traffic because it is also instagrammable - you know how it is nowadays ).
Other dishes were actually good and as for the price, it was affordable!!!
One thing that not a lot of people know and I think not everyone had tried... Are their desserts! The Porch by Casa Verde serves great cakes and shakes that should be a target whenever ypu pay this resto a visit!
I'm sure your families would enjoy this place too! So come on and visit The Porch - a family and barakada friendly, cozy and relaxing, casual dining restaurant that serves American cuisine with generous servings at an affordable Filipino price!
Ps. Tita's will always enjoy the ambiance for a good cup of coffee! That's a promise ❤
The ambience is good. It really feels like American suburb feels. The serving is also generous - much like American diet. Kust a tip: Be sure to reserve your slot first thing you go there. Line is quite long and some servers are going nuts managing the customers. Overall, two thumbs up.
We've tried here yesterday and this is actually our second stop over after eating at 'the breakfast table' so yung iba busog na, pero yung iba di nagpaawat, kasama ako... :) :) and all I can say is 'sulit'.. The serving of the food is meant for one but good for two person, one of my us ordered Brian's Rib and its huge, they said masarap. We've tried the 9inch big bang burger, well i love burgers and i was able to finish one slice. We also ordered milky way and i was overwhelmed haha sobrang laki, i let them finish it kase di ko na kaya, it taste like milo. The place is so cool, neat and comfy. We're planning to eat there again to try other menus especially that huge Rib of Brian... Hahaha
For great value steaks and dessert, my family always comes back to the Porch. We love how the serving sizes of the food here are almost always for sharing. The shakes are great too! The Chicken-fried chicken is my personal fave and I can't wait to come back soon!
The baby back ribs is to die for! The place was nice and homey. It was jampacked when we went there but a good sign of something promising. We ordered ribs, steaks , a platter and a pasta. And they taste amazing. Nothing can be considered a waste. Specially the ribs, it was soft and savory. Yummm!
This restaurant is really value for money. You won't regret it. Two thumbs up!
I was really amazed by their big burger and big chocolate shake, but hmmmm... Oh well I am not satisfied with the burger, the bun was too thick for the burger. Their well done steak was hard to chew, good seafood platter and they have the best bucket of ribs and delicious dessert (it's like choco lava with ice cream on top). Blueberry iced tea was good also! 😉
Good price, good food!
As always, Brian's Ribs was awesome. I took the chance of trying something new though by ordering their Roasted Seasoned Chicken. I ordered it with mashed potato instead of rice.
1. They served it to me cold. Like, as I was tearing the chicken into small pieces and took a piece in my mouth, I noticed that the meat was cold. So I touched the piece which was still attached to the bone, and unfortunately, it was cold like it just came from the refrigerator.
2. Vegetables was soggy. Soggy enough to eat by someone who had their braces recently adjusted.
3. Mashed potato (which is most likely the powdered kind) and gravy were VERY salty and loaded with MSG.
4. Mashed potato is close to being spoiled.
While their ribs were heavenly, as expected, since it's my 3rd time to eat there, I have to say that I'll never order or even recommend the roasted (microwaved) seasoned chicken to anyone.
The rating is based on the following:
Ambience - 4
Service - 3.5
Dishes tried - 3.25 (average for the ribs and chicken)
Value for money - 4
One rule: order in moderation. Brian's Ribs is a hit especially if you're in a group but for 2? We find it umay afterwards.
I recommend "The Dax" and have the steak medium well done.
Ambiance: cozy, homey-feel.
Price points: sulit!
