I ordered the grilled salmon with asparagus risotto for dinner. The fish was slightly overcooked since it was a bit dry. It was also somewhat bland for my taste.
The risotto was tastier than the fish and cooked well. However, I've had better risottos in other restaurants.
The staff on the other hand are attentive and courteous, so it was still an enjoyable meal for me.♥️
Manhattan Parkview's is on General Malvar Avenue, low-key and residential in feel, one block behind Four Seasons Hotpot. This is the area to visit to escape the often chaotic feel of the Cubao shopping district.
Giovanni's, owned and run by an Italian, is here, with pizza, pasta, and main dish specials written on the board. When they serve their own bread with a nice cheesy pesto, you know you're okay.
We tried the risotto special of the day yesterday, a shrimp and zucchini creation that used Italian rice. It had just the right amount of cheese added to finish the dish and was perfectly al dente.
We then had the Salsiccie e Patate, house-made sausages with boiled, then roasted potatoes with the scent of rosemary.
I came back and tried their meat Cannelloni, which had a stuffing exactly as I remembered when I was in Italy, growing up; and a nice steak Tagliata made from flank meat, with a great siding of mushrooms, dusted in cornmeal and them fried, easy and good.
The cooking is authentic and restrained, to conform to the neighborhood's ideal price points, but I am sure you can ask the chef to amp things up for a charge, because you're worth it, and the food is too. The risotto, for instance, deserved a splash of bright white wine, it was so nice.
The layout and the design of the resto is okay, it is the menu you should focus on.
Good place, I love the ambience. Food is great too! The order we had was good for two. Perfect for family gatherings, it is a cozy place where you can have good time and drink wine. Love the pasta!
I took my mom here for a new year dinner. They have a very accommodating staff. A place with just the right atmosphere. We appreciated both their pasta and pizza.
They have legit italian food (which is very delicious especially the pasta and pizza) and the service is really good. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Love this place ever since it opened. It will never ever disappoint me.
I always order their P250 (P199 back then) Food Meal Promos since you'll have some pasta with a side dish. I also ordered some of their pasta meals (P300 and up) when we had money, and they will give you a sourdough bread with a balsamic dipping sauce with it. Love it.
The only appetizer I ordered there is bruschetta since it was the most affordable, and well this is not a surprise, I love it. I don't have any pictures right now, but there has been a lot of memories in there.
The only downside I see is that they always have a few staff and well, because of that the service is slow, and much more slower if there's a lot of people.
Pizza is always the winner here. Its probably rare to find a place like this where the crust outshines the toppings. Thats how good it is. Pastas are good too, my faves would be the bolognese and the strozzapreti con salsiccia. Tiramisu recommended for dessert 👍
Pizza for the win. Pasta are good but kinda so-so.
Salads were a disappointment.
Just stick to the pizza! Legit lahat!
Hirap Ng second floor.
It's been quite a while the last time I ate alone. So I was wandering in Cubao, my actual plan is to watch movies but long queue made me back out. So I try some resto instead.
The place is so fascinating. Feel like Im out of the country. Maybe because the people who dine there is foreigners. I think yung nakasabay ko is Italian.
So I tried ordering Genova since that is cheaper than Carbonara. Genova consist of Lasagna Al Pesto, Chicken Breast Ala Minese and Potato croquettes with icetea for cheap price of 199php. I also tried wine, 180php for a glass.
Worth the price. Masarap yung meal.. tipid and ang comforting ng place kasi onti tao. Its a plus for me kasi ayoko ng masyadong crowded.
Staffs should learn to smile din pala.
But all in all experience is fascinating.
Pastas were delicious, place waz well ventilated, the prices were okay. May issue lang ako sa pizza.. Mejo papunta na sya sa puro crust nalang, more sauce sana. :) and sana merong kumakanta ng romantic Italian song para feel na feel ang italian food. Hehe also the Owner Mr. Giovanni is always around I think he's very hands on (kahit di ako nagddine dun, palagi ko sya nakikita coz lagi ako dumadaan dun, so I assume sya yung owner since Italian sya and lagi syang andun sa labas, pa chill chill.
It looks fancy but very affordable. We love their seafood pasta. It’s a go to here.
Their pizza and tiramisu dessert were great as well. My family likes this place because it is private and the waitress provides very good customer service. Don’t forget to try their beer bucket too.
We ended up at this restaurant by accident thinking we were going to another place. It turned out to be one of the best mistakes we ever made.
First we tried the Pizza. I am lucky in my life that I have tried Pizza all over the World and I can tell you that this one is one of the best.. Try it.
The Italian pastries were very very nice also.
However the let down was the teramisu . That was bland and soggy.. If you can't make it please take it off the menu. It was kinda a waste of money.
We found the service very nice and competent too. There was no background music in the room which it really needs.
All and all though by Metro Manila standards which is very poor standards lets face it, this restaurant gets a 5 out of 5.
The place was cozy.
The staffs were accommodating.
And I'm not sure if I was just hungry but I loved their food! Actually, only the Genova promo meal (lasagna al pesto, chicken breast with potato something that looks like fried mozzarella stick but it's potato)
We also ordered margherita pizza but Im disappointed since I expected it to have slices of tomatoes.
I'm also not a fan of their tiramisu. Too... soaked.
But yes I will dine here again because pasta is ❤️
Looking for a good place to eat in Cubao, we came across the new Manhattan building outside Gateway. We stumble across Giovanni’s Bar Ristorante which offers Italian dishes and pizza.
Place is simple, clean and has lots of tables and chairs to accommodate and a small 2nd floor for more customers. We are greeted by their staff upon entering the restaurant.
Menu was handed to us upon seating and honestly, they offer lots of dishes on their menu making it hard for me to decide on what to order. After maybe 10-15 minutes, here’s what we ordered:
Lasagna (Php280)
- The lasagna was huge given the price. Creamy, cheesy and tasty. Though I felt “umay” half way already. I suggest that they should include toasted bread on their dish as well as they should also improve on the presentation to look more appetizing. They lasagna served looked so simple for me.
Strozzapreti Giovanni (Php350)
“Strozzapreti pasta with seafood in eggs and cheese based sauce”
- I like that this one’s tastier than it seems and one can really taste the clams included. I don’t know what cheese they used for this but I was looking for more cheese flavor. The hand-rolled strozzapreti pasta was thick, cooked well and made us full.

We didn’t order the pizza since we were already full from these 2 dishes. According to the staff who attended us, each dish is good for 2 persons but still depends. Overall, we had a good time dining here though the ambiance seems gloomy (maybe because we were the only customer around and only saw 2 staffs despite that the place was big). Would like to come back here again sometime
Great place to get Italian cuisine, owned by an Italian family. Brick oven pizzas, yummy pastas and risottos and great promos for groups!
Definitely worth coming back for!
Nice place to chill. Their margherita is chewey and surprisingly, I liked it. Not a fan of pesto. Will probably be back to try their beer. And hopefully, they still have the buy one get one pizza for P399.
I really liked the ambiance of the place, elegant and simple that one can really dine in peace. I loved their cheesy pesto lasagna, I was already full when we ate but I couldn't stop myself to dive for more food. I'd probably go back to taste their coffee and pastries.
The food tasted authentic enough. I enjoyed their pesto. The items on the menu are a bit on the pricey side but they have great promos. One of the pizzas tasted weird. Was turned off by the service (or the lack of it).

Value for the money, you get what you paid for. Food here is not bad, if you're looking for affordable itallian cuisine yet looking elegant, this is the right place.
The guy server (chubby with eyeglasses is a good one, very hospitable and knows the menu well)

Giovanni's Bar Ristorante welcomes you with an Italian ambiance, located at Cubao. They offer good food and drinks at a very affordable price. We ordered a bucket of beer for P250 and two pizzas for only P300! I loved the place because of its artistically-designed walls and the place really feels Italian. Kudos to their good and quality service. The staff were accommodating and friendly.
While looking for a place for lunch, I saw Giovanni's at the lobby area of Manhattan Parkway in Cubao. The food is Italian and I ordered the risotto pescatore.
The dish was flavorful but it lacked the "kick" I was looking for. Overall, it looked like an Italian trattoria catering to the BPO crowd since it looks like buckets of beer at P250.
I'd probably go back to try the other dishes. So this is not my final review
UPDATE: I just tried their pizza. Unfortunately, the dish was awful. The mozzarella was so limited you can barely taste it. I got their Margherita pizza for the basil leaves -- something that would set it apart from the typical cheese. However, the pizza was so overcooked that the basil leaves were practically dissolved. The crust was also very bitter because of the extreme heat which I assumed they put on to cook it faster. Given that there were only two or three other tables occupied, I don't see any reason for the chef to have been pressured/stressed. Oh well.
One more thing -- the waitresses are not helpful. When I asked the waitress what pizza she could recommend, she only shrugged. She then kept pointing at the word "Pizza," the title that marks the start of the pizza section, in the menu. When the bill came, she also attempted to beckon me towards the counter to get it myself.
I gave this resto a 4.5 before. However, this recent visit forced me to give it a 3.5 instead (and only because the risotto was still very good).

This is a great restaurant tucked away in a corner of QC. Despite being located in Cubao, the area is not that busy. The place itself is well-lit and the staff are accommodating. The food is really good, too.
Whenever I visit this place, I always get their Scaloppine Al Limoneand Risotto Al Funghi. The meat of the scaloppine is so tender -- you won't need a knife. They're also very generous of the sauce so every bite is heavenly. As for the risotto, the dish is extremely flavorful you'd savor every bite.
Good food, good ambience.

PHP808 for all our orders: we got a Margherita pizza and homemade sausage pizza for 499. My beau got a promo meal of fried chicken, potato croquettes and pesto lasagna for 199 and carpaccio cost 210.
This is now my go to Italian resto for when I crave carpaccio! The pizza dough's are kneaded by Giovanni himself and they have interesting flavors too like poutine as pizza topping, maybe we'll try that next time. The pesto lasagna was a bit dry but rich and flavorful, the croquettes were good too. My beau didn't like the sausage but I did. Planning to take Patsy C and friends here someday!
The price. The place. The hot sauce. The crews.
Everything is perfect.
Sana may delivery :[

Just had lunch here. The salad -Insalatona was very good. The main courses we tried - Petto di pollo al funghi and the Salmone al pepe verde were both excellent. I am reserving their pizza and pasta selections for my next visit to this place. Giovanni's promises to be a favorite italian "go to" for my weekends. Eat, eat, eat!
Giovanni's is surprisingly enjoyable. I admit I had misjudged it because of its location, but everything I tried was very good. The pizzas look plain but are full of flavor; they're small but very filling. The lasagna - creamy. Desserts are tiny but heavenly. The salads are fresh, crisp, and satisfying. AND the pizzas and pastas contain real cheese - none of that icky generic stuff.
The place is very clean and agreeable. The staff are polite, well-groomed and pleasant.
The price per person is somewhere around what you'd normally pay at popular pizza chains, but the quality of the food is way better. If you're in the Cubao area and are thinking of going to a fast food pizza place, just forgo that plan and go to Giovanni's instead.
Good pizza and pasta! Great interiors, good customer service, doesn't get crowded. They always have promos for people on a budget too. I recommend this place for people who like legit italian food.
We dined here 3 times this past week and have nothing but praises for this restaurant! So good, we instantly decided to have a private function here. Authentic Italian! Remarkable food! Heartwarming hospitality! I recommend their Tagliatelle Alla Boscaiola and Prosciutto Pizza. Heavenly! This is more one of our most favorite places in Metro Manila!
:-D
FOOD - Great food and reasonably priced for something that is fresh out of the oven. The pasta is fulfilling, it may look like a small serving but once you get a taste of it, superb!
STAFF - They are happy to serve you. I remember one time a friend was looking for something with rice on the menu but their wasn't one, the server offered get it for him. How awesome is that?
ATMOSPHERE - They're a newly opened place so everything is really lovely. The interior is cozy and I especially loved the scenic painting on one of their walls. It is nice and quiet, a great place to meet up with friends and/or have a date night.
4.5 stars!
The food here doesn't just fill your stomach. It fills your soul. Time to wait for food may be upwards of 10 minutes, but it is time worth waiting for fresh food out of the oven. Servers are happy to take your order, and the place is nice and quiet despite being beside a busy night scene. All menu items are to go for; from pasta to pizza, every dish was superb.
Reasonably priced... Well I guess I should say their prices are pretty low for such a fine place. We had dinner and tried their buy one take one promo (on going) for a red pasta w/ boneless chicken plus their great iced tea. Darn we jst shelled out P200 for two people. Cheaper thn fast food! Mind you, our tummies are stuffed til d next morning. Theyve got efficient and friendly crew too. We would definitely b back & tag our friends along.

I find this place as unique and cozy. The staffs are cheerful and friendly.
Their food are delicious especially their pizzas. I also tasted their yummy desserts -- the two types of their Tiramisu desserts. I would love to go back here. I love this place! ❤️
