I appreciate that their shaved ice is stevia-flavored! Pros is it then becomes very friendly to Ketoheads like me (on selected times of the year 😅.) Con is since Stevia has a minty aftertaste, the shaved ice can taste artificial. The bubbly primary colors of the shaved ice add to the kiddie and artificial-ness. But hey, most of what we eat is kind of artificial and/or processed in some way so... who's kidding who?
Well either way, it's an okay place to hit your cravings. Shaved ice is Keto friendly!

I must say it is addicting especially the frozen custard. It is creamy but not too sweet.
This ice cream parlour does not have much seats, the treats are really meant to be eaten on the go.

I was expecting a typical ice cream parlor but to my surprise it wasn’t. I ordered the gelati large serving. I was given the opportunity to have a free taste of each flavor and i highly recommend guys you try the BLACK CHERRY flavor! Simoly the BEST! 😊

Light shaved ice that goes well with the very creamy frozen custard. It's pricey but you can tell the ingredients are high quality. and you definitely cannot get something like this anywhere else. Would recommend eating this sitting down cos it can get a bit messy.
We’re looking a place for dessert after eating our lunch at silantro and since they are just next to each other we decided to eat here. Its not my first time here but its my first time ordering their gelati because I ordered a blendini last time at their greenhills branch. We ordered one large gelati that’s good for sharing as per the staff. My brother choose the mango italian ice and with vanilla custard. Its good, the custard and ice really goes well together and I think ordering the custard itself is a bit “nakakaumay”, so good thing there’s an ice.
The place is a bit small but the staffs were friendly to us. The price of their items here is okay. The servings were big naman so no problem.

Rita's ice cream has always been a fave of mine. 😍 we ordered the strawberry-banana flavor along with vanilla ice cream. I love the flavor. You really get your money's worth. My favorite here however is the mango one. :) I always go for the vanilla ice cream since it's so good and it pairs well with any of the flavors. :)
I have to admit it’s really pricey but I can’t get enough of their frozen custard. I recently tried the Stuffed Blendini (all custard) and it tastes heavenly. They make it fresh daily. I dined there before closing time and I’ve seen them threw out the rest of the frozen custard for the day.

Italian ice is a cross between a slushy and an ice cream in the sense that it’s icy but not too watery, and slightly creamy, but not too rich and milky. It hits the balance to give sweet flavors that goes down the throat smoothly. ❄️ I got myself 2 flavors that day: Cookie Dough and Chocolate Fudge Brownie.
Cookie Dough has always been my favorite, so it immediately caught my attention in the roster of flavors. This Italian ice option even comes with chocolate chips in every bite! Chocolate Fudge Brownie on the other hand, is chocolatey and oh so yummy, much like a sorbet, that pairs well with the cookie dough. 🍪

It’s one of those things that you either love or are underwhelmed by. One of us is firmly a lover - we buy some every time we are in UP Town Center. It really grows on you the more you have it. We get the gelati - flavoured Italian ice topped with frozen custard. You can mix and match the flavours to your liking.
Although 170php for a cup of gelati (custard + italian ice) is a bit pricey, the serving is big and can already be good for two. My favorite pairing is raspberry + vanilla custard or any sour flavored italian ice. The sourness tastes good with the custard. They have a wide assortment of italian ice flavors to choose from.
The custard sometimes melts too fast (the last time I visited). I don’t know why but it was okay the previous times I visited.
Gelati is a must get! Not overly sweet or thick like other soft serve. Nice tangy Italian ice is a great mix with the soft serve. Good to see new flavors every time I visit
I ordered their cookie dough italian Ice and I thought it was light (ice cream minus the cream) but still had the hints of cookie dough. Its perfect for folks who are lactose intolerant and the best part is that your P70 goes a long way. Their smallest serving is enough to satisfy any craving.

Ordered chocolate gelati with mint flavored ice because according to ate it's their bestseller. I really am adventurous when it comes to desserts but I just think it's really weird for my taste. I didnt finish my whole cup.

There are no chairs inside the store so you get to eat your order either on the balcony side or the lobby side of the resto. We chose the lobby side because it's cooler there.

It was okay!!!!! I expected too much but it wasn't that bad! However, I didn't finish my cup. Should've gotten the smallest one 😅 the staff were nice tho :) p.s I got the vanilla custard as a starter. Never got to try the other flavors.
When in doubt order their gelati ice. Pick something red and tangy and top it off with chocolate custard. They have one of the best tasting soft serve in Manila. When i first tried this i easily got addicted and kept coming back for the next few weeks.

We went here last Wednesday night to try the Coffee Ice- Butter Pecan and Smores-Vanilla Custard.
Individually they were not that great so i had to mix the flavored ice and Custard like Halo-Halo just to enjoy the entire dessert.
Did i enjoy it? Not much. I mean, it was good but nothing really special about the taste that will make me come back again.

I had the regular-sized classic chocolate-vanilla custard swirl. I preferred it to normal ice cream because it was creamier and had a thicker, denser consistency. The only thing that bothered me was the seating in UP Town Center's branch. You can either sit outside the store or inside the mall premises, no seats in the store itself. Still overall a good experience and will definitely return.

Great dessert place! If you want something that's not too rich and heavy, go for their cream ice. But if you aim for something more authentic in terms of taste and texture, go for their frozen custard. It's like a soft serve ice cream with a superb taste. You can even have two flavors in one. BUT if you can't decide and you want both, they have the gelati which is a combination of one flavor of italian ice and one custard. Yum! One downside though is that it's a little pricey.
When this ice-based dessert came into the spotlight, I was really eager to try it. Only until I came back to Manila, my curiosity on this has finally ended.
I got the shaved ice lang, my friend got the gelati. They offered us discounts cs they really thought that we are still students (no worries, we declined cs we know we're not). This is totally a different take on desserts: shaved ice + custard. At first, the idea was kinda weird but the combination is not that bad. It's not too sweet, and the flavours are not the ordinary ones you can buy at a grocery store. For example pumpkin cheesecake etc etc. A good dessert but not the best.
Tried this for the first time. Loved the combination of raspberry and vanilla. Almost wasn't able to finish it because of the huge serving. Worth the price!
Rita's Italian Ice at the UP Town Center was noticeably cramped with kids, students and families everytime we pass by. Tempted to get in to satisfy our curiosity, we would end up walking away to dodge the long queue of customers. Until finally, thanks to the comfort of its lounge outside, we were prompted to give it a try. Actually, the variety of choices we sampled stretched our decision-making further. Thanks to the cordial and accommodating ladies on the counter we finally chose the Choco-Mint flavor. Trully refreshing! We may try other product favorites next time.

I dropped by Rita’s U.P. Town Center branch on a sunny Saturday afternoon and was warmly greeted by its Marketing Officer Angela who treated us to a refreshing afternoon snack.
We first sampled Italian Ice in cotton candy, green apple, sugar-free dragon fruit, mango and kiwi-strawberry flavors. All are light in flavor and quite refreshing. I enjoyed kiwi-strawberry best as its slight tangy taste helped cleanse the palate. R on the other hand loved the bestselling flavor cotton candy. Well, he is pretty biased with anything cotton candy.

Booming UP Town recently expanded its third wing and now provides even more retail and restaurant options. Although Rita's is surrounded by dessert places including Manila Creamery and Mad Mark's, their's offer so much more for you and me. Their concept in its entirety is novel and creative. This enables them to cater to a much wider audience.
I was overwhelmed initially as they provide you 9 ways to have a sweet moment. It starts with Italian Ice, a sure fire refreshing drink with smooth and ice cold texture. This one is similar to snow cone but made much better with even more flavors to choose from. Cotton Candy is their best selling one and I got the reason why instantly. The delicious after taste of the fluffy treat stays with you! Another favorite was the reliable mango. It was just like sipping the fruit!
Frozen Custard is their version of ice cream. Not many offers it here in Manila. A touch of egg yolk is what makes it different from the popular ice cream. The yolk is a natural emulsifier, imparting a richer, creamier texture. I go to try four: Vanilla, Chocolate, Coffee and Butter Pecan. I enjoyed all of it but my banner flavor chocolate stands. It's thick yet smooth feel is alive in every spoonful.
Now when you combine both ice and custard you have 3 options: Gelati, Misto and Blendini. Gelati is separating them- ice below and your custard choice on top. I love the wildly combined Strawberry and Lemonade Twist topped with Vanilla and Chocolate they served to us. It's strangely a battle in your palate of sweet creaminess with an icy sourness to it.
Misto is your shake as it blends your custard and ice together. They served the fusion of Mocha Ice and Choco Custard. It turned out to be a seamless drink better than your Starbucks Frapuccino. Blendini on the other hand is Misto with your choice of topping. I must say its like your McFlurry, premium version. Happy to grab a bigger spoon and dig in to their Mango Ice + Vanilla Custard + Wet Walnuts. It's additional texture of crunch is a big plus and it does get you going.
Other options to go gaga with is Frozen Drink. It's your Italian Ice swirled better for you to straw in and drink. The Sugar Free Dragon Fruit or Green Apple is a must try on this choice. There's also the Milkshake, Frozen Custard blend in with the help of milk. Option 8 would be your Frozen Custard with unlimited toppings places on cones. The last way is their cakes! Now didn't I tell you they got you locked in?
Great place for gelato / italian ice and frozen yogurt after a meal. Regular cup is enough for me. Large is big enough for sharing. Their branch here in UPtown is kinda cramped but there are tables outside (mall area) so you can sit while eating your gelati. This is beside the always packed Silantro :)
Dine here after our jog in UP to try their gelati and i have no regrets! I loved it. My cousin ordered frozen drink, she says it's just an ordinary drink. Well, still 2 thumbs up for the gelati!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Love their frozen custard. Made fresh in-store, this sweet treat is almost twice as creamy as gelato, and doesnt melt as fast. They usually have four flavours but imho the beast one is still vanilla.
I've been getting mixed reviews for this place. Giving it a 4.0 because medyo pricey nga. Sulit ang large for sharing--my friend and I split a large mango ice vanilla custard combo. Loved it!! I like the refreshing ice nga kahit on its own eh. Looking forward to trying more combos in the future.
The shaved ice with different flavors was not that special for me, it had a normal taste. The first time I tried it, I liked it a lot. Maybe it was just because of the craze because when I tried it again, I realized it was just okay. Some flavors were too sweet for me. However, I really liked their custard especially the vanilla. It was really different from others, it was creamier and had just the right amount of sweetness. The chocolate was good as well.
I have always been curious as to why Rita's is one of the most-posted Italian dessert I see on Instagram but I never got the chance to have one until recently. Now I know why. Their custard tastes heavenly! The ice too was so fine and it's unique. Instead of having frappe after a meal, this is a good alternatively. It's also perfect as an after-exam or after-report reward to oneself.

I was finally able to try Rita's Italian Ice to see for myself what the hype was all about. We had a large Gelati (Php 180), which is basically flavored shaved ice with a custard ice cream on top. The Sour Patch Kids + Vanilla combo was oddly satisfying, with a nice sweet and sour balance that just keeps things interesting.
I enjoyed Rita's, but it would be hard to convince myself to purchase another order when there are a number of better dessert options available for my Php 180, which includes almost all other ice cream shops out there. It's a nice dessert, but it seems to be quite overpriced when Manila Creamery and Mad Mark's are just around the corner.
Service was great as they'll let you try the different 'ices' available with a smile. Ambiance, on the other hand, has so much room for improvement. The place is very cramped and it's not for the claustrophobic.
Rita's Italian Ice is a nice dessert, but it's not a dessert I would crave for.

I found nothing special with Rita's Italian Ice. Their custard is just like softees. The Italian Ice was too sweet for me (I ordered cookie dough and topped it with custard).
It was a humid day and we were waiting for dinner. So what a refreshing way to try the frozen drink. Bloody Orange is worth trying! will come back try again other frozen drinks and custard mixes.
I got the strawberry ice with vanilla frozen custard on top. It was an odd combination, and was a bit underwhelming, given the hype people on FB have been mention about their desserts. The vanilla had an odd aftertaste and it was rich, but it wasn't the kind of vanilla taste I was expecting. The plus here is that their strawberry ice do have chunky strawberries included. Maybe I should try the butter pecan next time.
This shop feels cramped inside when you're in line to order but the line goes pretty quick with the efficient and friendly staff.
Try and get a free taste of their interesting flavors from sugar-free (for my diabetic mommy dearest) to cotton candy (for my next-to-kill list niece).
The shakes are pretty good too and do get any of the custards even if it's just vanilla.
I was able to try their Gelati and to be honest, I only liked the custard swirl on top. From then on, I only ordered their Iced Custard and it has become my favorite. It was creamy, smooth and not too sweet.. Just how I like it.
The perfect partner for this summers extreme heat! I've tried Rita's multiple times already and it still satisfies me. Their Gelati is really value for money as you'll be getting 2 layers of custard ice cream and 2 layers of flavored ice. From ice flavors such as cookies and cream, strawberry, coffee plus a lot of other flavors, Rita's will definitely cool one's very hot summer!

Whoever is behind this is a genius!! First time I tried it i had the regular cup. I actually came back the following day and ordered a large one because it's just too good. Had the chocolate custard and mint ice.
Was expecting for more when it comes to their blendini. Surprisingly, I liked the gelati my friend was eating rather than the blendini. Haha. Overall, it's okay. I wish the place was more open to customers, though. There's limited tables where you can eat your italian ice.
Everyone seems to love Rita's Italian ice so we went to their store to try it. We tried their flavoured crush ice green tea flavour and bubble gum flavour. Although it looks freakin good and picture worthy, for me the flavour is lacking. I'm gonna say DNME (did-not-meet-expectation).

I ate here with my boyfriend. He ordered sundae tas coffee yung flavor with cookies, can't remember yung ibang halo. Nasarapan sya hehe I ordered blendini vanilla, yung ice cookies and cream nakalimutan ko ndin yung halo, hindi ako masyado nasarapan. Mas nasarapan pa ako sa inorder ni boyfie halos maubos ko yung sa kanya haha

Anyway, the "Italian Ice" was so delectable. Its like shaved ice then they even have custards which I was conflicted at first but then le boyfie ordered one and then I was satisfied. The servings are good for sharing and it was so worth the cheat day. Okay. Moving on.

The best thing about this branch of Rita's Italian Ice is that there aren't a lot of people. The interior of the store may not be the biggest, but the tables outside and in the mall are rarely full (maybe because I've been to UP Town Center only during weekdays).
I've only ever had the Gelati, but this time I wanted to try their blendini, which was perfect since they had the Italian ice flavor and custard I wanted. My ice was the cookies and cream, I think, and then I forgot the custard flavor ;_____; but I remember choosing fudge as my mix-in because /chocolate/.
Another great thing is that they have non-dairy options, which is great if you have friends opt for that.
If you don't want gelato, or want something different by way of chilled sweet stuff, Rita's is a good place to go and try out :) the staff are quite helpful as well, answering questions and giving suggestions as to what would be good (like when we asked about non-dairy options, which is why we found out haha. My friend opted for chocolate peppermint shake)

We went here for dessert right after having heavy lunch in Silantro that is just beside it. Rita's Italian Ice is all over instagram so we were very curious how it tasted.
Their store setting is kinda small. It was a bit crowded when we went. They don't have seats inside, their tables are in both ends of the store. One side will be inside the mall, another side is alfresco. We choose to be seated in the alfresco area since the weather that time was fine and we thought that we won't feel hot cause it was a cold dessert. The service was fast even if they have a lot of customers. They have less than ten tables by the way, most of their customers just buy and go.
I ordered chocolate covered strawberry milkshake. It has a cherry on top! And it tasted like a perfect milkshake! Super pure and creamy! And I felt so full in my very first sip. It was really hard to finish it even if it tasted so good. Or maybe because I'm really full from our heavy lunch at Silantro. I didn't had a chance to taste the famous Italian ice which my friends ordered. I was so damn full. Too bad. Maybe next time. They don't have Wi-Fi connection by the way. And it's kinda hard connecting to free mall's Wi-Fi in this area.
I promise myself to come back for other flavors and try their specialties which they are famous for. The place, specialy the alfresco area, is a nice place to chill with friends.

Who can resist joining the bandwagon and taking a photo of the Gelati? Custard (the ice cream) was very creamy so it takes a while before it melts. The shaved ice did not lose its taste even after quite some time. Lots of flavors to choose from. The store is very small so it can get annoying having to fall in line outside.
I'm a sucker for ice cream and my favorite is always their mix of shaved ice on the bottom and ice cream on the top. I prefer the light version of the ice cream because the usual is slightly heavy for me. And I always opt for the sour shaved ice. All in all, I often stop by be it rain or shine. But I really do hate to stop by during the weekend because the place is completely cramped and there was almost always a long line.
Post-workout ice cream... Yes ang galing ko, I know... I find it so hard to resist Rita's! I know there are different opinions about this dessert, but I'm all for it... I really like their gelati!

One of the best ice cream places I've been to! I got vanilla ice cream with the peanut butter custard. Their ice cream is perfect especially when you're "na-umay" with your last meal.
I do wish they'll open a branch in Cebu so that I can always enjoy this icy and creamy delight. Service is fast and staff is efficient. When choosing your Italian ice and custard, just make that they'll go well together.
Rita's Italian Ice never fail to satisfy my cravings for sweets = chocolates, Reese's, cotton candy, creamy shakes, cookies, cream. You just have to consume your ice immediately.
I love that you can choose between ice and the custard. Crowded during weekends (long queue!). Their choices are spot on and all-in-all, it was really yummy! :)
I heard this Italian Ice from a friend, then we went to UP Town Centerto try this and I have to say that I really did enjoy my strawberry watermelon gelati with vanilla custard, i definitely loved it.
Really good ingredients. Smooth, perfect sweetness and nicely picked iced flavors. You just have to look beyond the box, be creative and pick your own combinations. If it doesn't work, take note, and try another combination on your next visit.
Ofcourse picking the combinations starts with the base which basically depends on your mood. A gelati is a perfect dessert after a good dinner. Especially if you just ate something hot and spicy. Personally, my favorite is the cookie dough with chocolate custard.
To complememt a light snack, a misto shake would be perfect. And for those on diet, or pretending to be on a diet... the sugar free raspberry tea could be a wise choice.

Tried their vanilla and chocolate frozen custard for the first time last night. The consistency of their frozen custard was thick and soft at the same time, although it still melted easily. The chocolate flavored frozen custard tasted great, but the vanilla flavored frozen custard didn't taste so good as it was. The vanilla frozen custard depended on other flavors in order to taste good. Over all, a 3.5 because I expected more from Rita's considering its popularity today.
we decided to try the famous Rita's Italian Ice. People have been craving for this and also read a lot of positive reviews so yea, we all wanted to try.
Since it was our first time, the staff was very kind to assist us with how or what to order despite the people lining up around. Haha
I got the Gelati (Smores and Vanilla custard) in regular size. Their ice cream is distinct and different from your ordinary ice cream. Surprisingly, it tasted good especially their custard but only of the first few bites. I'm not a fan of sweets so I find this one too sweet for my taste. The custard tastes good but it wasn't really something I wanna try again.
Overpricing + overrated. Will still recommend for those sweet lovers and those who are curious :)
