I love the interiors and the overall ambiance of this restaurant. The food is not the average "vegetable" selection you see in other restaurants. I found the menu to be very creative and the food is high in quality. I'm not a vegetarian but I definitely enjoyed everything I've tried so far. Must try the pipino iced tea, black bean burger, and the pineapple rice with vegetarian embotido!
Love this place! I love their cauliflower fritters and karekare! And their soyannaise!

Cozy place, good food and friendly crew
Every time I bring non-vegans here, they're always impressed!
Nice healthy and nutritious foods to intake.check em out! Dong Day! :)
Pipino will always be a favorite because aside from the good food, staff are friendly, and space is comfortable. I ordered the pinakbet risotto and langka bbq which I both loved! ♥️ Both dishes are packed with flavor, proving that they did not scrimp on the ingredients. I had the leche flan for dessert and it was the perfect way to cap off my meal. I will never get tired of recommending Pipino because it does not only offer healthy food, they’re delicious and flavorful as well.
Surprisingly, this restaurant offers delicious Vegan food that you’d probably forget you’re eating Vegan!
We ordered Wicked Walnut Salad, Cauliflower Fritters and Tofu Longganisa. They offer a wide selection of plant-based dishes in their menu. Price is proportionate considering that it’s vegan and the serving sizes are relatively okay. There’s so much in the menu that we haven’t tried. But I’ll definitely be back here to try other vegan dishes and I would recommend this to my vegan-eating family and friends!
Ordered via grabfood after watching What The Health and my mind was blown! Triangle Squares and vegan kare kare with black bean bagoong was great! Ordered again the next day but was disappointed w the cauli buffalo wings it was so greasy!!! Overall great experience looking forward to try more dishes here
It’s official! I think I’ve just found the best vegan restaurant in the Metro!
Pipino offers vegan dishes that you’d crave for even if you aren’t vegan. Their menu is filled with such unique items, you’d definitely want to come back to try out everything!
I got to try the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings & the Veggie Triangles. Both are AMAZING. The cauliflower wings are definitely my favourite. The kick of spice was sooo good and the breading had this nice subtle crunch. The veggie triangles were also jam-packed with different flavours & spices. The wrapper was crunchy and the filling was still really hot, which is a big plus!
They also have other vegan items for sale like cookies, nori chicharon, vegan bagoong, and more! I really recommend you guys to check this place out, it’s a hidden gem in the Maginhawa area. Till we eat again, Pipino!
Unexpectedly delicious vegetarian food! We accidentally found out about this place as we were looking for Pino, but this place is a pleasant surprise.
Definitely loved the taste of their main dishes and appetizers. Their breakfast selections are a great starting point if you want to taste a vegetarian/vegan versions of your usual Filipino dishes. Very filling serving sizes and it did not feel guilty to eat them all.
For drinks, you might want to taste their Breakfast Smoothie. The smoothie is refreshing and flavorful. Can't believe it was all veggies inside.

We loved the food here!! We ordered the vegetable curry, tofu sisig, veggie triangles, and cauliflower fritters and they were all good!! Love how they made vegetarian food very good!!! Coming back to try the other items on the menu. 💙
I've been coming to Pipino since 2011. I've seen it constantly expanding its menu and changing its interiors (at least twice). Some of my default and personal faves include vegan burgers (portobello mushroom; bean), lasagna, kalabasa pasta, and variety of salads. For drinks, i always go for pipino cooler (you can have it hot too). Though lately, several items in the menu are not regularly available, particularly the vegan burgers. In terms of location, I personally liked the first one better (situated in the 2nd floor of the bldg) as it's well lit and has high ceiling, though new location (ground flr) is more spacious. There is no wifi so defo not a place to do some computer work. Overall, it is a nice place to get a quick fix of vegan cravings at a fairly decent price.
We came here for late-night Pies at "Pi" only to find out that it's only open until 2PM -- only after then would this little gem known as "Pipino" open.
We had Black Bean Burger which has a wonderful ground tausi burger and somewhat-dry buns that still manages to go great with a big pineapple slice and mango salsa. It also comes with a sour BBQ sauce and a light, fluttery ranch sauce. Yummy!!
Apart from that, we also ordered a tasty Cauliflower rice and Callos. The Callos had the usual callos vegetables (red bell pepper, carrot, potato, garbanzos) and tofu as the "star protein" all bathing in a rich tomato sauce. Enjoyed every minute of it!
For dessert, we had the Vegan Chocolate Cake which was on the dark side of the chocolate cake spectrum. We loved it!
Definitely will come back here to try the other Vegan menu items!
(As a side note, we ordered Callos mainly because the menu states it has "vegan sausage". I expected that would be similar to veggie meat, surprised to see that it meant tofu. )

The sizzling tofu sisig we had was good, it was creamy and the spiciness was just to my liking.
One of the best vegetarian places I've tried! It's a small quaint place near Maginhawa. The food servings are very generous and very tasty (the sauces are amazing). Servers are nice but it takes quite a bit of time for orders to be doled out. Price is very affordable.
I recently watched a documentary about the benefits of having a plant-based diet and instantly got inspired. So I decided to look for a vegan resto here in zomato and luckily Pipino resto was just a couple of blocks away from my office so i decided to check it out.
Its located at the second floor where PINO resto is located. The place is somewhat small for a typical resto but the place is very cozy and neat. The staff are approachable and friendly.
I asked the staff what she recommends as best seller and suggestes d that i try the Vegetable Kare-Kare. At first inwas hesitant because im not a bagoong lover but cusiousity got the best of me. So I ordered the kare-kare for takeout.
I must say that Pipino’s Kare-Kare is exceptional and probably one of the best Kare-Kare in Metro. And the bagoong! For the first time, i began to like the bagoong. It was not the typical bagoong. Theirs was made from black beans and I instantly fell in love with it. I shared my food with my colleagues and they too said that it was delicious.
Im looking forward to trying out the other foods that they have. Keep it up Pipino! Great Job!
Ooops! I forgot. I also tried their breakfast smoothie! You have to try it too. Delicious and very nutritious. 🙂
Always been a favorite. Ordered the usual:
- Vegetable Kare Kare 5/5
-Cauliflower Fritters 5/5 (goes very well with their dip)
-Longsilog
-Cucumber shake
And it was all heavenly. Even tried one of their cupcake and it was sooo good. Definitely a gem along malingap.
For vegan food, this resto is the best! I ordered my fave Portobello Mushroom and they simply delivered what I am expecting. My partner, feeling ill that day, ordered brown rice arroz caldo which is also great tasting! Will definitely go back since its just below my favorite salon upstairs
Had my first vegan burger here. Pipino was one of those establishments that got me to stay plant-based for quite a while. Some of my faves: black bean burger and vegan kare kare.
If you dine in here you could get their vegetarian and nonVegetarian menu. Places are named Pipino and Pino, respectively.
We tried aligue gambas, pakbet risotto, kalderatang lengua. The aligue gambas was super tasty! Rich creamy aligue sauce and shrimps, very yummy. As for the lengua, I couldn’t appreciate it much since the lengua was cut into small bits and it being cooked in kaldereta did not highlight it well. The pakbet risotto was good. the risotto itself is good but I did not like the veggies topped on it and the bagoong. Overall, a good experience. Highly recommend the shirmp gambas!

Can’t get enough of their Tofu Sisig and Vegetable Kare Kare! Aside from the main dishes, I also enjoyed their Vegan Halo Halo (I’ve posted a photo of it here, please check it out!) . I thank my Vegan friend who brought me here!
Scared to try vegetarian food? Don't be! This places makes eating vegetarian friendly food easy! Delicious and affordable food. Meat-lovers will have appreciation for this place. Come and try!
It is the first time for me to dine in a vegan resto and it was amazing! Food is of course guilt-free and super tasty! The ambiance is very simple, the wall is just white and with a very simple wall design. The food is quite pricy due to the choice ingredients but you will feel full even if you haven’t finished your meal.
So after so many years I am onboard once again in the historic Rainbow Warrior, the research and activist boat of the environmental group Greenpeace. But i am not here to talk about my day in the life of, but the food that was served to us during the appreciation dinner. I was surprised to see Pipino as their caterer in the middle of the sea. Apparently, Greenpeace loves Pipino so much that they asked if they can serve their wonderful vegetarian menu to financial supporters, board members, staff, boat crew and volunteers onboard during their "Champions of Hope" event last Saturday evening. And the gladly obliged.
Here's what we had, pardon the photos since there was a line forming behind me while i was rush with one plate and a camera phone on both hands.
Vegetarian Pancit Bihon - thr pancit reminds me of the orange garlic pansit of Milky Way and Contis but without the chicken. It was packed with greens and mushrooms and really flavorful.
Pastel - now this is great with chicken because traditionally that should be the highlight of the dish but they managed to recreate it with just peas, carrots, potatoes and CAMOTE! Yes! SWEET POTATO as the chicken substitute.
Bokchoy with hoisin sauce - cut vertically, blanced with a drizzle of salty hoisin.
Buffalo Cauliflower - battered cauliflower with buffalo dipping sauce on the side. This was good. The cauliflawer was soft but not soggy. The buffalo sauce fooled me into thinking i was eating chicken wings.
Longganisa - made with fermented soy beans, it tastes like the real thing but not quite so.
Brown Rice - fried rice style. Not too grainy probably mixed with white rice to make it more palatable.
Sweetened bananas with sago - underripe bananas made it a firm dessert with generous helping of sago.
Turmeric Lemon Grass iced tea - strong, spicy and surprisingly healthy drink.
Pipino managed to delight the discriminating crowd onboard the Rainbow Warrior that night and would like to commend their excellent service.
To be honest, I ordered the Portobello Mushroom burger here and I did not like it. But it's only very possibly because I just do not have any taste for vegan food. I accompanied my vegan friend to this place and while the food was not to my liking, I did like the ambiance and the whole concept of the restaurant. Plus, my friend did enjoy their food a lot so it seems like vegans would find an affinity with this place that I simply couldn't. Their vegan ice creams were incredible though, I would note. I just decided that every time we come back here, I would order from their sister non-vegan restobar below instead so I would enjoy the experience more.
I was very satisfied with my visit to Pipino. Though the place looked a little worn down the first time I visited it years back, it still delivered the quality dishes that made it a sought after hole in the wall. I ordered kare kareng bagnet the nori cheese sticks and the tablea cheesecake. The Kare Kareng bagnet was good though the pork skin was a little tough to chew at first bite, it was still cruchy and had that salty tang, coupled with a mildly sweet peanut sauce its a satisfying dish of contrasting yet complimenting texture of flavors. The Nori cheese sticks was good as well, the nori deep fried with the melted cheese was a good combination for an appetizer to keep you from getting overwhelmed with the rick cheese flavor. The Tablea cheesecake was for the hallmark dish of our visit it was smooth yet had that bittery hint of dark tablea chocolate a flavor which you dont get normally from your commercial dark chocolates. Overall Pipino deserves mutliple revisits and I can certainly understand why its still operating after all these years.
I love the presentation and the Vegan menu! There was so much to choose from for Vegans! I was the one who ordered the Bicol Express bagnet and though I loved the serving and pricing, the dishes fell short on the taste.
One of the most readily mentioned health foods—regardless of trends and fads—is Cucumis sativus, or more commonly known as the cucumber. It has been touted as a refreshing source of micronutrients such as magnesium and potassium, as well as antioxidants that help protect the body from the effects of stress and toxins. It is only fitting that this fruit should lend its name, albeit in the Filipino language, to a healthy dining restaurant on Malingap Street, Teachers Village, Diliman in Quezon City.
They do great things with portobello mushrooms!
The portobello mushroom inasal is soooo good! Goes well with rice and the beet root sauce. Makes me forget that I'm eating healthy food! I have also tried their portobello mushroom burger-- really juicy and filling. I know that it is an unlikely substitute for meat but I still found it very satisfying... I have also enjoyed their kale malunggay pesto previously, though it does taste like you are eating something healthy... 😜
I do have dishes that I found weird in the past... For instance, I'm not a big fan of their veggie lasagna at all... Very, very dry for me. Plus they have this croquettas dish that was texturally too much for me.
I don't think they serve organic food, just vegetarian friendly. So don't worry about the price tag. Everything is pretty affordable... Since you are being healthy, you might want to pair your dish with flavored beer. As in strawberry beer that you can cross order from Pino right next door! Or even end the meal with a cake from Pi. Another perk when you visit this restaurant! They give you menus from three different restaurant concepts that share the space...
This is the first vegan resto I visited in Quezon City! AMAZING~
Food: The FOOD was GREAT! My favorite is the cauliflower buffalo! The flavor is so good! We ordered tofu sisig, lasagna, tortang talong (which is amazing like I've been vegan for 2 years and this is so far may first ever tortang talong again since I went vegan!!!), and burger! The burger patty is great BUT the BREAD TASTE STALE??? I was so excited to try their burger... It sadden me BUT don't worry, you'll DEFINITELY LOVE EVERYTHING ELSE! Also.. Their DESSERTS!!!
I have only eaten at Pipino once, but I'm already looking forward to my next visit. There are two things I love about Pipino: their unique vegan Filipino cuisine and the homey ambiance. The brown rice complemented their Monggo Malunggay quite nicely, although I felt that the dish was a little more soup than monggo. I also tried their Garbanzo Burger, which I really enjoyed because it put a delightful twist on the typical meatiness of non-vegan burgers I've grown a bit tired of. The Sweet Potato Fries on the side made the dish even more satisfying.
If I were to rate Pipino on ambiance alone, I would automatically give it a 5/5. The place is small but not at all stuffy. It's bright and cosy, adorned with a variety of plants. On one wall you will find beautiful pieces of art by Alessandra Lanot which further elevates the restaurant's aesthetic. I also liked that you could see their mini kitchen, as if you were at home.
The only thing keeping me from giving Pipino a 5/5 is the serving size. For a student, Pipino is a little on the expensive side, so I was expecting something more filling. Despite this, staff was accommodating and I am excited to visit again to try the rest of their menu (and their cookies!) and I will be updating this review accordingly.
Note: I'm a big fan of plant-based foods, so meat-lovers (like my friends) might not enjoy it as much as I did.
Finally, we have tried this vegan restaurant in the teacher's village area and am happy to say that we were satisfied with the food we ordered and the price was reasonable.
Food we ordered were all satisfying:
Vegetarian Pizza - healthier version for that pizza cravings with its freshly made malunggay dough with variety of vegatables and alfalfa sprouts on top.
Fresh Vegetable Lumpia - loved it overall with its wrapper and inside ingrediets of tokwa, carrots and other veggies. The sauce was really tasty. The side dish of rice noodles was a favorite as well.
Vegan Chocolate cake - its for your sugar cravings but this is not that sweet and can be shared by 2-3 persons as it is quite packed and dry but overall it was good.
For the ambiance, Pipino actually have their own area at the top of Pino but you can only stay in this floor if you did not order any of the Pino menu which we did at that time -- we ordered steamed lapu lapu.
For the price, it was relatively affordable compared to that of other vegan restaurants.
For the service, the server were knowledgeable of the menu/ingredients and was accommodating enough to answer our questions.
Vegan need not be pricey nor bland.
We would love to go back someday to try the other items in the menu.
You don't need to risk your health and diet to indulge in your all time fave food. Pipino offers wide variety of food in their menu that is absolutely healthy and delicious. I hope I can get to review every food we ordered, but there's a lot and doing it so would make this review a novel like. But one thing they share in common? They are all great. All food are meat free, dairy free, etc etc.
The place is cozy but it was kinda small. Staff are very accommodating. The place looks really clean. A very very big thumbs up! I really love Pipino because there was never a food in their menu that tasted like vegetables. For instance, their sinigang. They didnt use any meat, even fish as the main ingredient. They used tofu and it didn't taste awful at all. I would really come back here! Price is just right. You actually get more than what you've payed for.
Hidden atop Pino, is a quaint vegetarian restaurant. The place had a clean and homey vibe. Staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered the spring roll trio, tofu sisig paired with brown and cauliflower rice. All the spring rolls had the right amount of crunch although a bit on the lean size in terms of volume of filling. It consisted of a nori beansprout, vegan lumpiang shanghai and spinach tofu ricotta. I have to say Ienjoyed the vegan lumpiang shanghai version most out of the three. I liked the contrast of a crunchy outer layer and a soft inner layer. To be fair, I havent had tofu ricotta anywhere else to say whether this was good or bad. What I found missing though was the pesto. Although the menu claimed to have it, my taste buds don't recall encountering it. The tofu sisig on the other hand I found delightful especially since there was vegan mayo on top, making it sweet and tangy which I found to my liking. Add a drizzle of calamansi, and some chili slivers, and voila, you have a good tofu sisig. Of course lovers of the real thing have to manage expectations. It holds up well on its own but it is nothing close to pork sisig. In terms of nutrients though, the mayo itself is by far worth it because they use olive oil and apple cider vinegar among other healthier ingredients.
I would definitely go back. It's a place that offers more than gluten coated in different sauces to mimic popular dishes.
Taro Chips, Callos, Veggie Kare-Kare and Choco Banana muffins are my fave. My husband and I loves this place for spur of the moment dine outs. Reasonably priced food and attendants are really nice.
My favorite place to unwind and chibog! Been here a couple of times already, and still plan to keep eating here. Very convenient for a vegan foodie like me who is always looking for restos that would satisfy my vegan cravings (and needs).
The place is quiet, and since it's a place that serves absolutely no meat, rarely anyone ever comes in here. Although there is a non-vegan counterpart downstairs, my friends, family and I sometimes opt to stay up in Pipino where we can eat guilt-free and cruelty-free.
Strongly recommend their Kale Malunggay Pesto and Portobello Mushroom Burger the most! Everything on the menu is absolutely mouth-watering, you can never go wrong here in Pipino. Very happy with every experience.
When: 9pm-11pm on a rainy Saturday evening
Why: meet up w my 4 girl friends
Ordered : pumpkin soup, pasta in malunggay pesto, fries, ice tea and some :) for my friends.
Paid: by a friend :)
Place: is a small, clean but needed some fixing (i slipped on a floor crack right next to our table. Confusing as well. Its on the 2nd floor & I accidentally entered *PINO restaurant at the first floor. You have to *enter a gate, move around PINO restaurant before locating the stairs that will lead you to 2nd floor. (Point deduction)
> its comfortable; not noisy (except for their blender), not crowded.
Service: Good!
Food: Good!
Im a *meat & fish eater; & decided to get *safe orders. My pesto pasta was great though its a bit creamy for me. Love their ice tea & mayo dip for fries. Their brown rice was cooked well & their tofu was great.
I havent tried their burger but a friend said it has potato for patti & *eggplant!
Me and my girlfriend love this place 😊 Maybe make the portion sizes a little bigger for bigger guys like me, but other than that I appreciate the food you guys serve :)
If you're a vegan and residing here in this Pork Republic then you will have a hard time surviving. Thankfully there are establishments like Pipino to save you from your misery.
Since I have a more lasting relationship with pasta than any other things I opted for their Vegan Lasagna, the portion is just alright I think they can be more generous (or maybe I was just really hungry that time) but the taste is on-point not too sour for my taste and I didn't feel the absence of meat in it.
If one is tired of being carnivore then this is a good alternative to try.
My boyfriend and I LOVE it here and it has become one of our constants. Their vegan food is AMAZING and the plating is super nice as well. The people who work there are friendly and accomodating too! 😊😊 Andrew LaBrecque
Pipino is by far my most favorite restaurant ever. They have such unique choices; all of which are vegan!!! I can eat so much here but I never feel THAT guilty. The price range for high quality food is great as well.
I tend to start off with some kind of appetizer, typically their spring roll trio or veggie triangles. For my main meal I normally have the black bean burger (which I'd recommend out of all burgers because it's the most juicy), the eggplant tofu miso (which has the GREATEST texture ever) or now, my newfound love, the tofu sisig.
My sides would include the truffle mac and cheese or veggie pizza. Then, for dessert, s scoop of coconut ice cream with a big cookie and chocolate cake! Other types of food I order here and then but these are my staples.
No joke though, their food is really great. And the place is pretty dainty. I only gave a 4.5 because some dishes need to be slightly improved so that the general public would like the menu. However, comparing from the time I started coming to Pipino, it's obvious that Pipino improved on a lot of stuff- so even if you visited before, visit now. It's so amazing.
Here's one thing I'll never be...a vegetarian! But Pipino makes it seem easy to become a vegetarian. The cafe offers dishes we are familiar with like the fried rice, kare kare, pinakbet, pancit canton and even burgers but without the meat. So good you won't even notice. Plus they have desserts, too. Love this place!
Hit and miss.
A vegetarian option is always a good thing, and I'm glad to have this place in the neighborhood.
I'm not a vegetarian, but I've taken vegetarian friends and acquaintances here when they come see me.
I've had some pretty good grilled vegetables. I do love a grilled vegetable, Lol.
I've tried many of their desserts and didn't really enjoy them too much.
Maginhawa is truly a food haven for us foodies, with the wide assortment of cuisines. But once in a while, you’d like to eat somewhere a bit healthier.
Air-conditioned with cute interiors, a few crafts and paintings hang on the white walls, adding character to the place.
Puttanesca pasta. Buckwheat spaghetti, tomatoes, olives, capers. Simple, not very flavourful. (maybe because I was used to the non-vegetarian kind?)
Vegan lasagna. Spinach ricotta, tomato, mixed vegetables, vegan cheese, lasagna pasta, homemade tomato sauce. This one was definitely yummier. It’s a bit small (quantity-wise) for the price, but hey, what’d you expect from a vegetarian restaurant.
Malunggay pesto pasta with onion rings on top. It was flavourful and creamy. The onion rings complemented the pasta.
Vegetable Kare Kare was unique. They definitely put their own twist on the classic Filipino recipe. Was expecting more vegetables though. And the tempura vegetables were too oily. Generous serving of bagoong though. Fried Eggplant and Adobong Kangkong is one of my faves. Simple yet flavorful. I got full from the meal.
Orange shake. Refreshing, but could still do better by having finer crushed ice.
They have cupcakes, muffins, cookies and cakes as well. They also sell their Kale Malunggay Pesto sauce and Vigan Bagoong by the jar if you wanna whip some pasta (and/or kare-kare hehe) at home.

Pipino is definitely one of my highly recommended if you are looking for a healthier option restaurant. Everything in their menu looks good. I extremely enjoyed their Tofu Satay and Monggo Malunggay. Also, their Spring Roll Trio is also a commendable dish. Aside from a wide variety of vegetarian dishes, they also have cupcakes to satisfy a sweet craving.

My happy place. I usually have brunch here after I come from the hospital, and it's always such a pleasure. From the warm, playful interiors, the cheerful staff, the awesome music (Phoenix, DMB, MGMT on repeat) to the super yummy (and super reasonable) food, it really is no wonder why I keep coming back. Really one of the best places to just hang out and eat really great food, solo or with friends. I love you Pipino!
Stuff you have to try:
Salads: Oriental Crunch
Starters: Taro Chips, Mushroom Salpicao, Potato Chilaquiles
Pasta: Vegan Lasagna, Truffle Mac and Cheeze, Kale Malunggay Pesto
Vegan Filipino: Vegetable Kare-Kare, Pakwan Steak
Burgers: Black Bean Burger
Desserts: Vegan Chocolate Cake, Fresh Lemon Ice Cream
Wonderful and calming ambiance. Food is great too. They're strict about vegan diets and all, so I'm giving them a good score. Staffs are friendly and service is fast. Definitely coming back.

As to not get confused, Pipino is located inside Pino. Pipino offers healthy and organic vegetarian and vegan food.
For variety, they offer soup of the day, and it is different each day. Since we visited on a Sunday, we tried the Tomato Soup. It was good, has enough sourness to create an appetite yet satisfying as well.
For Salad, we ordered Wicked Walnut. Organic lettuce leaves with dalandan balsamic and candied walnuts that makes it sweet, cherry tomatoes that are juicy, and salty parmesan. Great blending of flavors.
For starters, we tried Tofu Lemongrass Skewers and Brown Rice Rolls. I was surprised that the brown rice rolls is really made from brown rice and mixed with other ingredients...like a maki.
For the mains, we tried Tofu Satay, Fried Rice, Creamy Pesto, Stuffed Portabelo Cheeseburger, Black Bean Burger, Garden Burger, and Vegetable Curry. The vegetable curry is light. Among the mains, my favorite would be the creamy pesto because it is light and flavorful and the onion rings are not oily; and the Black Bean burger because of its meaty texture but wholesome taste.
Try to visit this restaurant if you want some healthy dishes or just to try vegetarian food or you want to get away from oily and meaty dishes for awhile.
we went here after exams and tried the burgers and even my sisters loved it! regarding the ambience it was okay but they should be more friendly :)
If you are in the mood for something healthy, Pipino is definitely a good option. When you go here, you must be in a vegan mindset and not have any craving for something oily and fatty. Their veggie pockets w curry sauce is awesome. And their veggie kare kare has a rich peanut sauce that makes you forget there is no meat in it, plus the veggie bagoong really does taste like bagoong!
On the place: It has a very light set-up. Large windows with a nice clear view of the neighborhood and natural light and white walls. I think it's a very good place to do some catching up with a friend.
On the food (yipee!): Before going to Pipino, I researched already and according to reviews, their vegan lasagna is a must-try so I tried it. Serving size is okay but the red sauce seems to be just poured over the top. But then, I love the layering of the ingredients though I think it was particularly tailored for the sweet Filipino taste because the sauce was a little bit too sweet for me.

Pipino is the vegetarian sibling of Pino Restaurant, which originated here in Maginhawa village maybe about three years ago. Items from their menu can be ordered within Pino, and what makes this place unique is that these are Filipino-inspired vegetarian dishes that aren't just steamed vegetables or salads.
I enjoy eating tofu in almost every form, and Pipino did a very good take on tofu cooked in coconut cream mixed in with a bit of green chili and eggplant. The eggplant provides the meatiness and the tofu the texture; a very satisfying entree that easily complements non-vegetarian items on the main (Pino) menu.
Since being fit and healthy is a trend nowadays Pipino restaurant is a great place to go to. Name itself sounds healthy we wouldnt wanna argue with that, well anyways pipino restaurant for me serves LEGIT- DELICIOUS-FRESH VEGETABLE MEAL.(unlike the others that I'm not gonna mention) And if you want to feel some sugar rush without feeling guilty you can try their cupcakes, muffins, cookies, cake and icecream( simply categorize as DESSERTS) ALL VEGAN PEOPLE!!! Price of food ranges from 100-300.
Tried their cheeseless veggie lasagna. At first i couldn't believe that it was actually a veggie lasagna because it tasted like meat! They also have cupcakes but my favorite is the green tea flavored! Yummy!
